| 4 | SINS model in the management of biosafety level 2 laboratories: exploration and practice显示文摘A significant number of biosafety level 2(BSL-2)laboratories have been established in many countries for studies of various types of pathogenic agents and other infectious biological materials.The harmonized management of biological risks in such diverse laboratories thus appears as a real challenge.Zhejiang Province in China has taken the initiative to establish a comprehensively integrated laboratory biosafety management system called SINS(Standardization,Informatization,Normalization and Systematization).The SINS model system has been introduced and adopted in 1,721 BSL-2 laboratories in Zhejiang Province,and thus lead to an increase in the number of biosafety committees from 20%to more than 95%from 2007 to 2018,and the number of biosafety laboratory managers who knows biosafety-related laws and regulations increase from 52.7%to 83.7%from 2009 to 2017.Such achievements indicate that the successful implementation of SINS model has increased the effective control of biological risks in BSL-2 laboratories of the Zhejiang Province.SINS model and its main effects on leading the improvement of laboratory biosafety management was presented in this review.The SINS model helps to strengthen laboratory biosafety and thus effectively reduces occurrence of biosafety-related incidences.This model can potentially be used by other regions or countries where harmonized biosafety management system is still under-developing. | Xiaoxia Qiu Jingqing Weng Zhenggang Jiang Congcong Yan Hua Gu | 2019 | Biosafety and Health2019,1,3: | 3 |

| 8 | Endothelial Notch activation promotes neutrophil transmigration via downregulating endomucin to aggravate hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘Inflammatory leukocytes infiltration is orchestrated by mechanisms involving chemokines,selectins,addressins and other adhesion molecules derived from endothelial cells(ECs),but how they respond to inflammatory cues and coordinate leukocyte transmigration remain elusive.In this study,using hepatic ischemia/reperfusion injury(HIRI)as a model,we identified that endothelial Notch activation was rapidly and dynamically induced in liver sinusoidal endothelial cells(LSECs)in acute inflammation.In mice with EC-specific Notch activation(NICeCA),HIRI induced exacerbated liver damage.Consistently,endothelial Notch activation enhanced neutrophil infiltration and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αexpression in HIRI.Transcriptome analysis and further qRT-PCR as well as immunofluorescence indicated that endomucin(EMCN),a negative regulator of leukocyte adhesion,was downregulated in LSECs from NICeCA mice.EMCN was downregulated during HIRI in wild-type mice and in vitro cultured ECs insulted by hypoxia/re-oxygenation injury.Notch activation in ECs led to increased neutrophil adhesion and transendothelial migration,which was abrogated by EMCN overexpression in vitro.In mice deficient of RBPj,the integrative transcription factor of canonical Notch signaling,although overwhelming sinusoidal malformation aggravated HIRI,the expression of EMCN was upregulated;and pharmaceutical Notch blockade in vitro also upregulated EMCN and inhibited transendothelial migration of neutrophils.The Notch activation-exaggerated HIRI was compromised by blocking LFA-1,which mediated leukocyte adherence by associating with EMCN.Therefore,endothelial Notch signaling controls neutrophil transmigration via EMCN to modulate acute inflammation in HIRI. | Peiran Zhang Kangyi Yue Xinli Liu Xianchun Yan Ziyan Yang Juanli Duan Congcong Xia Xinyuan Xu Mei Zhang Liang Liang Lin Wang Hua Han | 2020 | Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,3: | 1 |

| 13 | Effects of water and nitrogen addition on vegetation carbon pools in a semi-arid temperate steppe显示文摘Global change will lead to increases in regional precipitation and nitrogen(N) deposition in the semi-arid grasslands of northern China. We investigated the responses of vegetation carbon(C) pools to simulated precipitation and N deposition increases through field experiments in a typical steppe in Inner Mongolia. The treatments included NH_4NO_3 addition at concentrations of 0(CK), 5(LN, low nitrogen), 10(middle nitrogen, MN), and 20(HN,high nitrogen)(g m^(-2)a^(-1)) with and without water. After three consecutive years of treatment, from 2010 to 2012,water addition did not significantly change the size of the total vegetation C pools, but it significantly decreased the ratio of root:shoot(R:S)(P = 0.05) relative to controls. By contrast, N addition significantly increased the total vegetation C pools. The C pools in the LN, MN and HN treatments increased by 22, 39 and 44 %, respectively. MN produced the largest effect among the N concentrations,although differences between N-added treatments were not significant(P [ 0.05). N addition significantly reduced the ratio of root:shoot(R:S)(P = 0.03). | 15 | Biological traits and life history of Pagiophloeus tsushimanus(Coleoptera:Curculionidae),a weevil pest on camphor trees in China显示文摘Cinnamomum camphora(L.)J.Presl.(Laurales:Lauraceae)is widely cultivated as an important landscape tree species in many urban areas in South China,especially in Shanghai City.Pagiophloeus tsushimanus Morimoto has become a destructive insect pest of C.camphora plantations in Shanghai,but the biological and ecological traits of this pest remain largely unknown.In this study,we investigated the damage and life history and determined the larval instar of P.tsushimanus.The results indicated that P.tsushimanus is a monophagous weevil pest,and C.camphora is the unique host tree species.C.camphora plantations in all administrative districts of Shanghai have been seriously damaged by P.tsushimanus.Adults often aggregate for feeding on the tender bark of twigs and occasionally on newly emerged buds.After experiencing damage,the twigs shrink and crack and the buds will shrink.Adults tend to repeatedly mate and oviposit,and all females lay single eggs at a time.Eggs will be covered with a mixture of secretions and wood chips by female adults.Larvae(1 st-2 nd instar)feed on the phloem,while 3 rd-5 th instar can bore into the phloem and the cambium.Massive tunnels,including three shapes(inverted'L',inverted'T',and inverted'Z'),were observed in the trunk of each tree,and resulted in swelling of the outer bark.P.tsushimanus has one life cycle per year in Shanghai.Both adults and larvae(3 rd-5 th instar)overwinter from early November to early April.Adults overwinter in grooves on the underside of branches or at branch nodes,and larvae overwinter in tunnels.Five larval instars of P.tsushimanus were determined according to Dyar’s and Crosby’s rules.The biological traits and life history of P.tsushimanus have been identified and can provide guidance in terms of pest control and plantation management. | Cong Chen Congcong Zhang Shouyin Li Han Zhu Binqi Fan Yan Wang Peng Su Yangyang Han Dejun Hao | 2021 | Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,5: | 0 |
| 16 | Role of the Volatile Components in the Anti-insomnia Effect of Jiao-Tai-Wan in PCPA-induced Insomnia Rats显示文摘Background:Jiao-Tai-Wan(JTW)is widely used for insomnia in traditional Chinese medicine.It has been found that berberine in JTW has a potential anti-insomnia effect,but the anti-insomnia effect of volatile oil,which is another major component in JTW,remains unclear.Objective:To comprehensively analyze the anti-insomnia effect of volatile oil through chemical analysis,phar-macological research and network pharmacology methods.Methods:Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)analysis and network pharmacology platform were used to elucidate the material basis,effect and mechanism of JTW in the treatment of insomnia.A rat model of insomnia induced by p-Chlorophenylalanine(PCPA)was used to verify its anti-insomnia effect.The levels of Melatonin(MT)and Melatonin receptor type 1b(MTNR1B)in the brain and serum of rats were detected by ELISA,Western blot and Real-time PCR methods.Results:Eighteen volatile oil ingredients of JTW were identified by GC-MS,containing six new components which were found in JTW for the first time.Cinnamaldehyde,Behenic alcohol,Tetradecanal,and Gleenol can promote sleep by targeting MTNR1B according to the predicted results of network-pharmacology.Compared with the model group,JTW can increase the level of MTNR1B in rats’prefrontal cortex and brain stem,while reducing the level of MT in rats’brain stem.Conclusion:The volatile oil components,such as Cinnamaldehyde,Tetradecanal,and Gleenol,might also be playing a critical role in the anti-insomnia effect of JTW by target MTNR1B. | Xi Liu Zhengzhong Yuan Congcong Zeng Yan Huang Xie Xu Wenqin Guo Hongbin Zheng Ruanjuan Zhan | 2022 | Clinical Complementary Medicine and Pharmacology2022,2,1: | 0 |
| 17 | Cr-doped Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)@C enables high-capacity with V^(2+)/V^(5+)reaction and stable sodium storage显示文摘Due to its abundant sodium content and low cost,sodium-ion battery(SIB)has become an effective substitute and supplement for lithium-ion batteries,which has a broad development prospect in largescale energy storage systems.Na-super-ionic conductor(NASICON)structural materials have stable 3D skeleton structures and open Na+transport channels,which is a very promising SIB cathode material.But in the typical NASICON material Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)(NVP),the number of electrons involved in NVP per formula unit is less than 2 at the stable voltage window,which limits the further improvement of battery performance.In this work,we report another NASICON structured Na_(3)V_(4/3)Cr_(2/3)(PO_(4))_(3)@C(NVCP@C),which is obtained by Cr-doped NVP through spray drying.By taking full advantage of the voltage platforms of V^(5+/4+),V^(4+/3+),and V^(3+/2+)in the window of 1.5-4.4 V,NVCP@C delivered a high discharge capacity(175 mAh g^(-1))and durable cyclability(86%capacity retention for 2000 cycles).In-situ X-ray diffraction results demonstrate that the reversible structural evolution accompanies by solid-solution reaction and two-phase reaction mechanisms co-exist during charge/discharge processes.When coupled with Na^(+)preembedded hard carbon(HC),the assembled NVCP@C//HC full cell delivers a high capacity(105 mAh g^(-1))and long cycling performance(70%after 1000 cycles).This Cr-doped NVP method offers new insights into the design of high-energy NASICON-structured cathode materials. | Bo Mai Boyu Xing Yunfan Yue Nianyao Cai Congcong Cai Sitian Lian Hao Fan Mengyu Yan Ting Zhu Ping Hu Xuewen Wang Liqiang Mai | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,34: | 0 |
| 18 | New insights into the carotenoid biosynthesis in Torreya grandis kernels显示文摘Torreya grandis is a characteristic rare economic tree species in subtropical mountainous areas. The nut has a variety of bioactive compounds, such as polyphenols and vitamins. However, the carotenoids compositions and its regulatory mechanisms underlying carotenoid biosynthesis in kernels remain unknown. Here, the major carotenoids in the kernel were analyzed. The result showed that lutein and β-carotene were the predominant carotenoids in the kernel, while low levels of a-carotenoid and zeaxanthin were detected. Lutein and β-carotene were decreased during the maturation of kernel. Expression analysis by RNA-seq and q RT-PCR indicated that the expressions of TgCYP97A3 and TgLCYB were also reduced during the maturation of kernel. The contents of lutein or β-carotene were obviously increased in tobacco transiently overexpressing TgCYP97A3 or TgLCYB. Moreover, DPPH radical scavenging activity and FRAP were also significantly enhanced. In addition, several MYB and WRKY transcription factors TgMYBS3, TgMYB48 and TgWRKY11 were identified to positively regulate the TgCYP97A3 expression, while TgMYB48, TgWRKY2 and TgWRKY11 could upregulate the TgLCYB expression.
