1Exosome-functionalized polyetheretherketone-based implant with immunomodulatory property for enhancing osseointegration显示文摘The host immune response effecting on biomaterials is critical to determine implant fates and bone regeneration property.Bone marrow stem cells(BMSCs)derived exosomes(Exos)contain multiple biosignal molecules and have been demonstrated to exhibit immunomodulatory functions.Herein,we develop a BMSC-derived Exos-functionalized implant to accelerate bone integration by immunoregulation.BMSC-derived Exos were reversibly incorporated on tannic acid(TA)modified sulfonated polyetheretherketone(SPEEK)via the strong interaction of TA with biomacromolecules.The slowly released Exos from SPEEK can be phagocytosed by co-cultured cells,which could efficiently improve the biocompatibilities of SPEEK.In vitro results showed the Exos loaded SPEEK promoted macrophage M2 polarization via the NF-κB pathway to enhance BMSCs osteogenic differentiation.Further in vivo rat air-pouch model and rat femoral drilling model assessment of Exos loaded SPEEK revealed efficient macrophage M2 polarization,desirable new bone formation,and satisfactory osseointegration.Thus,BMSC-derived Exos-functionalized implant exerted osteoimmunomodulation effect to promote osteogenesis.Lei Fan Pengfei Guan Cairong Xiao Huiquan Wen Qiyou Wang Can Liu Yian Luo Limin Ma Guoxin Tan Peng Yu Lei Zhou Chengyun Ning 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,9:11
2Treatment of CD20-directed Chimeric Antigen Receptor-modified T cells in patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma:an early phase IIa trial report显示文摘Patients with relapsed or refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma have a dismal prognosis.Chimeric Antigen Receptor(CAR)-modified T cells(CART cells)that targeted CD20 were effective in a phase I clinical trial for patients with advanced B-cell lymphomas.We performed a phase IIa trial to further assess the safety and efficacy of administering autologous anti-CD20 CART(CART-20)cells to patients with refractory or relapsed CD20^(+)B-cell lymphoma.Eleven patients were enrolled,and seven patients underwent cytoreductive chemotherapy to debulk the tumors and deplete the lymphocytes before receiving T-cell infusions.The overall objective response rate was 9 of 11(81.8%),with 6 complete remissions(CRs)and 3 partial remissions;no severe toxicity was observed.The median progression-free survival lasted for 46 months,and 1 patient had a 27-month continuous CR.A significant inverse correlation between the levels of the CAR gene and disease recurrence or progression was observed.Clinically,the lesions in special sites,specifically the spleen and testicle,were refractory to CART-20 treatment.Collectively,these results together with our data from phase I strongly demonstrated the feasibility and efficacy of CART-20 treatment in lymphomas and suggest large-scale patient recruitment in a future study.This study was registered at www.clinicaltrials.org as NCT01735604.Wen-ying Zhang Yao Wang Ye-lei Guo Han-ren Dai Qing-ming Yang Ya-jing Zhang Yan Zhang Mei-xia Chen Chun-meng Wang Kai-chao Feng Su-xia Li Yang Liu Feng-xia Shi Can Luo Wei-dong Han 2016Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2016,1,1:11
3Dynamic changes of behaviors, dentate gyrus neurogenesis and hippocampal miR-124 expression in rats with depression induced by chronic unpredictable mild stress显示文摘The depression-like behavior phenotype,neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus and miR-124 expression in the hippocampus are the focus of current research on the pathogenesis of depression and antidepressant therapy.The present study aimed to clarify the dynamic changes of depression-like behavior,dentate gyrus neurogenesis and hippocampal miR-124 expression during depression induced by chronic stress to reveal pathological features at different stages of depression and to further provide insight into depression treatment.Chronic unpredictable mild stress depression models were established by exposing Sprague-Dawley rats to various mild stressors,including white noise,thermal swimming,stroboscopic illumination,soiled cages,pairing with three other stressed animals,cold swimming,tail pinch,restraint and water and food deprivation.Chronic unpredictable mild stress model rats underwent dynamic observation from 1 to 8 weeks and were compared with a control group(normal feeding without any stressors).To observe changes in the depression-like behavior phenotype during chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression,a sucrose preference test was used to evaluate the degree of anhedonia.An open-field test was used to evaluate locomotor activity and anxiety status.Compared with the control group,chronic unpredictable mild stress rats lost weight but did not have a depression-like behavioral phenotype at 1-4 weeks.Chronic unpredictable mild stress rats presented decreased sucrose preference and locomotor activity at 5-8 weeks.In addition,chronic unpredictable mild stress rats did not have significant anxiety-like behavior during 1-8 weeks of modeling.To observe neurogenesis dysfunctions and changes in neuronal number in the dentate gyrus during chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression,markers(DCX and DCX/BrdU)of neural proliferation and differentiation and the neuronal marker NeuN were assessed by immunofluorescence.Compared with the control group,neurogenesis and the neuronal number in the dentate gyrus did not change from 2 to 6 weeks;however,neural proliferation and differentiation in the dentate gyrus decreased,and the number of neurons decreased until the eighth week in the chronic unpredictable mild stress group.Real-time quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction assays and fluorescence in situ hybridization were used to measure the expression of hippocampal miR-124 during chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression.The results showed that the expression of hippocampal miR-124 was unchanged during the first 4 weeks but increased from 5 to 6 weeks and decreased from 7 to 8 weeks compared with the control group.These findings indicate that during chronic unpredictable mild stress-induced depression,the behavioral phenotype,miR-124 expression in the hippocampus,neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus and neuronal numbers showed dynamic changes,which suggested that various pathological changes occur at different stages of depression.All experimental procedures and protocols were approved by the Experimental Animal Ethics Committee of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine of China in March 2015.Yun-Ling Huang Ning-Xi Zeng Jie Chen Jie Niu Wu-Long Luo Ping Liu Can Yan Li-Li Wu 2020Neural Regeneration Research2020,15,6:10
4Assessing environmental factors associated with regional schistosomiasis prevalence in Anhui Province,Peoples’Republic of China using a geographical detector method显示文摘Background:Schistosomiasis is a water-borne disease caused by trematode worms belonging to genus Schistosoma,which is prevalent most of the developing world.Transmission of the disease is usually associated with multiple biological characteristics and social factors but also factors can play a role.Few studies have assessed the exact and interactive influence of each factor promoting schistosomiasis transmission.Methods:We used a series of different detectors(i.e.,specific detector,risk detector,ecological detector and interaction detector)to evaluate separate and interactive effects of the environmental factors on schistosomiasis prevalence.Specifically,(i)specific detector quantifies the impact of a risk factor on an observed spatial disease pattern,which were ranked statistically by a value of Power of Determinate(PD)calculation;(ii)risk detector detects high risk areas of a disease on the condition that the study area is stratified by a potential risk factor;(iii)ecological detector explores whether a risk factor is more significant than another in controlling the spatial pattern of a disease;(iv)interaction detector probes whether two risk factors when taken together weaken or enhance one another,or whether they are independent in developing a disease.Infection data of schistosomiasis based on conventional surveys were obtained at the county level from the health authorities in Anhui Province,China and used in combination with information from Chinese weather stations and internationally available environmental data.Results:The specific detector identified various factors of potential importance as follows:Proximity to Yangtze River(0.322)>Land cover(0.285)>sunshine hours(0.256)>population density(0.109)>altitude(0.090)>the normalized different vegetation index(NDVI)(0.077)>land surface temperature at daytime(LST_(day))(0.007).The risk detector indicated that areas of schistosomiasis high risk were located within a buffer distance of 50 km from Yangtze River.The ecological detector disclosed that the factors investigated have significantly different effects.The interaction detector revealed that interaction between the factors enhanced their main effects in most cases.Conclusion:Proximity to Yangtze River had the strongest effect on schistosomiasis prevalence followed by land cover and sunshine hours,while the remaining factors had only weak influence.Interaction between factors played an even more important role in influencing schistosomiasis prevalence than each factor on its own.High risk regions influenced by strong interactions need to be targeted for disease control intervention.Yi Hu Congcong Xia Shizhu Li Michael PWard Can Luo Fenghua Gao Qizhi Wang Shiqing Zhang Zhijie Zhang 2017Infectious Diseases of Poverty2017,6,1:9
5Exogenous pancreatic kininogenase protects against renal fibrosis in rat model of unilateral ureteral obstruction显示文摘Tissue kallikrein has protective function against various types of injury.In this study,we investigated whether exogenous pancreatic kininogenase(PK)conferred renoprotection in a rat model of unilateral ureteral obstruction(UUO)and H2O2-treated HK-2 cells in vitro.SD rats were subjected to UUO surgery,then PK(7.2 U/g per day,ip)was administered for 7 or 14 days.After the treatment,rats were euthanized;the obstructed kidneys were harvested for further examination.We found that PK administration significantly attenuated interstitial inflammation and fibrosis,and downregulated the expression of proinflammatory(MCP-1,TLR-2,and OPN)and profibrotic(TGF-β1 and CTGF)cytokines in obstructed kidney.UUO-induced oxidative stress,closely associated with excessive apoptotic cell death and autophagy via PI3K/AKT/FoxO1a signaling,which were abolished by PK administration.We further showed that PK administration increased the expression of bradykinin receptors 1 and 2(B1R and B2R)mRNA and the production of NO and cAMP in kidney tissues.Coadministration with either B1R antagonist(des-Arg9-[Leu8]-bradykinin)or B2R antagonist(icatibant)abrogated the renoprotective effects of PK,and reduced the levels of NO and cAMP in obstructed kidney.In H2O2-treated HK-2 cells,addition of PK(6 pg/mL)significantly decreased ROS production,regulated the expression of oxidant and antioxidant enzymes,suppressed the expression of TGF-β1 and MCP-1,and inhibited cell apoptosis.Our data demonstrate that PK treatment protects against the progression of renal fibrosis in obstructed kidneys.Li-zhe Jin Hui-ying Li Jian Jin Shang-guo Piao Xiong-hu Shen Yan-ling Wu Jia-chong Xu Long-ye Zhang Yu-ji Jiang Hai-lan Zheng Ying-shun Jin Sheng Cui Kang Luo Yi Quan Can Li 2020Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2020,41,12:9
6Spotlight on chimeric antigen receptor engineered T cell research and clinical trials in China显示文摘T cell mediated adoptive immune response has been characterized as the key to anti-tumor immunity. Scientists around the world including in China, have been trying to harness the power of T cells against tumors for decades. Recently, the biosynthetic chimeric antigen receptor engineered T cell(CAR-T) strategy was developed and exhibited encouraging clinical efficacy, especially in hematological malignancies. Chimeric antigen receptor research reports began in 2009 in China according to our Pub Med search results. Clinical trials have been ongoing in China since 2013 according to the trial registrations on clinicaltrials.gov.. After years of assiduous efforts, research and clinical scientists in China have made their own achievements in the CAR-T therapy field. 7Atorvastatin protects cardiac progenitor cells from hypoxia-induced cell growth inhibition via MEG3/miR-22/HMGB1 pathway显示文摘Heart failure (HF)induced by ischemia myocardial infarction (MI)is one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality all around the world.Atorvastatin,a hydroxyrnethylglutaryl coenzyme A reductase inhibitor,has been demonstrated to benefit patients with ischemic or non-ischemicinduced HF,but the mechanism is still poorly understood.Increasing evidence indicates that IncRNAs play important role in variety of human disease.However,the role and underlying molecular mechanisms remain largely unclear.In our work,we applied 0.5%02 to generate a hypoxia cardiac progenitor cell (CPC)model.Then,CCK8 and EdU assays were employed to investigate the role of atorvastatin in hypoxia CPC cell model.We found that hypoxia inhibits CPC viability and proliferation through modulating MEG3 expression,while atorvastatin application can protect CPCs from hypoxia-induced injury through inhibiting MEG3 expression.Then,we demonstrated that repression of MEG3 inhibited the hypoxia-induced injury of CPCs and overexpression of MEG3 inhibited the protective effect of atorvastatin in the hypoxia-induced injury of CPCs.Furthermore,our study illustrated that atorvastatin played its role in CPC viability and proliferation by modulating the expression of HMGB1 through the MEG3/miR-22 pathway.Our study, for the first time,uncovered the molecular mechanism of atorvastatin's protective role in cardiomyocytes under hypoxia condition,which may provide an exploitable target in developing effective therapy drugs for MI patients.Jinwen Su Ming Fang Bei Tian Jun Luo Can Jin Xuejun Wang Zhongping Ning Xinming Li 2018Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2018,50,12:6
8A chlorinated non-fullerene acceptor for efficient polymer solar cells显示文摘Improving the performance and reducing the manufacturing costs are the main directions for the development of organic solar cells in the future.Here,the strategy that uses chemical structure modification to optimize the photoelectric properties is reported.A new narrow bandgap(1.30 eV)chlorinated non-fullerene electron acceptor(Y15),based on benzo[d][1,2,3] triazole with two 3-undecylthieno[2’,3’:4,5] thieno[3,2-b] pyrrole fused-7-heterocyclic ring,with absorption edge extending to the near-infrared(NIR) region,namely A-DA’D-A type structure,is designed and synthesized.Its electrochemical and optoelectronic properties are systematically investigated.Benefitting from its NIR light harvesting,the fabricated photovoltaic devices based on Y15 deliver a high power conversion efficiency(PCE) of 14.13%,when blending with a wide bandgap polymer donor PM6.Our results show that the A-DA’D-A type molecular design and application of near-infrared electron acceptors have the potential to further improve the PCE of polymer solar cells(PSCs).Mei Luo Can Zhu Jun Yuan Liuyang Zhou M.L.Keshtov D.Yu Godovsky Yingping Zou 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,12:5

10Exploration of the mechanism by which icariin modulates hippocampal neurogenesis in a rat model of depression显示文摘Icariin(ICA) has a significant capacity to protect against depression and hippocampal injury,but it cannot effectively cross the bloodbrain barrier and accumulate in the brain.Therefore,the mechanism by which ICA protects against hippocampal injury in depression remains unclear.In this study,we performed proteomics analysis of cerebrospinal fluid to investigate the mechanism by which ICA prevents dysfunctional hippocampal neurogenesis in depression.A rat model of depression was established through exposure to chronic unpredictable mild stress for 6 weeks,after which 120 mg/kg ICA was administered subcutaneously every day.The results showed that ICA alleviated depressive symptoms,learning and memory dysfunction,dysfunctional neurogenesis,and neuronal loss in the dentate gyrus of rats with depression.Neural stem cells from rat embryonic hippocampi were cultured in media containing 20% cerebrospinal fluid from each group of rats and then treated with 100 μM corticosterone.The addition of cerebrospinal fluid from rats treated with ICA largely prevented the corticosterone-mediated inhibition of neuronal proliferation and differentiation.Fifty-two differentially expressed proteins regulated by chronic unpredictable mild stress and ICA were identified through proteomics analysis of cerebrospinal fluid.These proteins were mainly involved in the ribosome,PI3 K-Akt signaling,and interleukin-17 signaling pathways.Parallel reaction monitoring mass spectrometry showed that Rps4 x,Rps12,Rps14,Rps19,Hsp90 b1,and Hsp90 aa1 were up-regulated by chronic unpredictable mild stress and down-regulated by ICA.In contrast,Htr A1 was down-regulated by chronic unpredictable mild stress and up-regulated by ICA.These findings suggest that ICA can prevent depression and dysfunctional hippocampal neurogenesis through regulating the expression of certain proteins found in the cerebrospinal fluid.The study was approved by the Experimental Animal Ethics Committee of Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine of China in March 2017.Ning-Xi Zeng Hui-Zhen Li Han-Zhang Wang Kai-Ge Liu Xia-Yu Gong Wu-Long Luo Can Yan Li-Li Wu 2022Neural Regeneration Research2022,17,3:4
111.7-μm dissipative soliton Tm-doped fiber laser显示文摘We report on the dissipative soliton generation in a 1.7-μm net-normal dispersion Tm-doped fiber laser by nonlinear polarization rotation technique. An intra-cavity bandpass filter was employed to suppress the longwavelength emission, while the cavity dispersion was compensated by a segment of ultrahigh numerical aperture(UHNA4) fiber. The dissipative soliton with a central wavelength of 1746 nm was obtained, covering a spectral range from 1737 nm to 1754 nm. The de-chirped duration and energy of the dissipative soliton were 370 fs and 0.2 nJ, respectively. In addition, the dynamics of multiple dissipative solitons were also investigated. Through optimization of the cavity dispersion, the 50 nm broadband dissipative soliton with de-chirped pulse duration of 230 fs could be achieved. 12Immunological Evaluation of a Novel Mycobacterium tuberculosis Antigen Rv0674显示文摘Objective This study aimed to characterize the diagnostic and vaccine potential of a novel Mycobacterium tuberculosisantigen Rv0674. Methods To evaluate thediagnostic potential and antigenicity of Rv0674, IgG was evaluated using ELISA and interferon (IFN)-γ was done by using ELISpot assay among TB patients and healthy donors. For immunogenicity evaluation, BALB/c mice were immunized with Rv0674. Cytokine production was determined by cytokine release assay using an ELISA kit, and the antibodies were tested using ELISA. Results The results of serum Elisa tests showed that Rv0674 specific immunoglobulin G (IgG) response was higher in TB patients than negative controls. And Rv0674 had good performance in serological test with sensitivity and specificity of 77.1% and 81.1%, respectively. While it shows poor sensitivity and specificity of 26.23% and 79.69% for IFN-γ tests. In BALB/c mice, Rv0674 adjuvant by DDA/PolyI:C could also induce a high level of IFN-γ, interleukin-2 and interleukin-6 as well as a high IgG titer in both high-and low-dose groups indicating that Rv0674 is essential in humoral and cellular immunity. Moreover, the cytokine profile and IgG isotypecharacterized Rv0674 as a Th1/Th2-mixed-type protective immunity with the predominance of Th1 cytokines. 14Preliminary Study on Drug Susceptibility Profile and Resistance Mechanisms to Macrolides of Clinical Isolates of Non-tuberculous Mycobacteria from China显示文摘Objective Macrolide susceptibility and drug resistance mechanisms of clinical non-tuberculous mycobacteria(NTM) isolates were preliminarily investigated for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of the infection in China. Methods Four macrolides, including clarithromycin(CLAR), azithromycin(AZM), roxithromycin(ROX), and erythromycin(ERY), were used to test the drug susceptibility of 310 clinical NTM isolates from six provinces of China with the broth microdilution method. Two resistance mechanisms, 23 S r RNA and erm, were analyzed with nucleotide sequence analysis. Results Varied effectiveness of macrolides and species-specific resistance patterns were observed. Most Mycobacterium abscessus subsp. massiliense were susceptible and all M. fortuitum were highly resistant to macrolides. All the drugs, except for erythromycin, exhibited excellent activities against slow-growing mycobacteria, and drug resistance rates were below 22.2%. Only four highly resistant strains harbored 2,058/2,059 substitutions on rrl and none of other mutations were related to macrolide resistance. G2191 A and T2221 C on rrl were specific for the M. abscessus complex(MABC). Seven sites, G2140 A, G2210 C, C2217 G, T2238 C, T2322 C, T2404 C, and A2406 G, were specifically carried by M. avium and M. intracellulare. Three sites, A2192 G, T2358 G, and A2636 G, were observed only in M. fortuitum and one site G2152 A was specific for M. gordonae. The genes erm(39) and erm(41) were detected in M. fortuitum and M. abscessus and inducible resistance was observed in relevant sequevar. Conclusion The susceptibility profile of macrolides against NTM was demonstrated. 15Phosphorylation inhibition of protein-tyrosine phosphatase 1B tyrosine-152 induces bone regeneration coupled with angiogenesis for bone tissue engineering显示文摘A close relationship has been reported to exist between cadherin-mediated cell-cell adhesion and integrin-mediated cell mobility,and protein tyrosine phosphatase 1B(PTP1B)may be involved in maintaining this homeostasis.The stable residence of mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)and endothelial cells(ECs)in their niches is closely related to the regulation of PTP1B.However,the exact role of the departure of MSCs and ECs from their niches during bone regeneration is largely unknown.Here,we show that the phosphorylation state of PTP1B tyrosine-152(Y152)plays a central role in initiating the departure of these cells from their niches and their subsequent recruitment to bone defects.Based on our previous design of a PTP1B Y152 region-mimicking peptide(152RM)that significantly inhibits the phosphorylation of PTP1B Y152,further investigations revealed that 152RM enhanced cell migration partly via integrinαvβ3 and promoted MSCs osteogenic differentiation partly by inhibiting ATF3.Moreover,152RM induced type H vessels formation by activating Notch signaling.Demineralized bone matrix(DBM)scaffolds were fabricated with mesoporous silica nanoparticles(MSNs),and 152RM was then loaded onto them by electrostatic adsorption.The DBM-MSN/152RM scaffolds were demonstrated to induce bone formation and type H vessels expansion in vivo.In conclusion,our data reveal that 152RM contributes to bone formation by coupling osteogenesis with angiogenesis,which may offer a potential therapeutic strategy for bone defects.Yong Tang Keyu Luo Yin Chen Yueqi Chen Rui Zhou Can Chen Jiulin Tan Moyuan Deng Qijie Dai Xueke Yu Jian Liu Chengmin Zhang Wenjie Wu Jianzhong Xu Shiwu Dong Fei Luo 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,7:3
16Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 17An injectable,self-healing,electroconductive extracellular matrix-based hydrogel for enhancing tissue repair after traumatic spinal cord injury显示文摘Injectable biomaterial-based treatment is a promising strategy to enhance tissue repair after traumatic spinal cord injury(SCI)by bridging cavity spaces.However,there are limited reports of injectable,electroconductive hydrogels with self-healing properties being employed for the treatment of traumatic SCI.Hence,a natural extracellular matrix(ECM)biopolymer(chondroitin sulphate and gelatin)-based hydrogel containing polypyrrole,which imparted electroconductive properties,is developed for traumatic SCI repair.The resulting hydrogels showed mechanical(~928 Pa)and conductive properties(4.49 mS/cm)similar to natural spinal cord tissues.Moreover,the hydrogels exhibited shear-thinning and self-healing abilities,which allows it to be effectively injected into the injury site and to fill the lesion cavity to accelerate the tissue repair of traumatic SCI.In vitro,electroconductive ECM hydrogels promoted neuronal differentiation,enhanced axon outgrowth,and inhibited astrocyte differentiation.The electroconductive ECM hydrogel activated endogenous neural stem cell neurogenesis in vivo(n=6),and induced myelinated axon regeneration into the lesion site via activation of the PI3K/AKT and MEK/ERK pathways,thereby achieving significant locomotor function restoration in rats with spinal cord injury(p<0.001,compared to SCI group).Overall,the injectable self-healing electroconductive ECM-based hydrogels developed in this study are ideal biomaterials for treatment of traumatic SCI.Yian Luo Lei Fan Can Liu Huiquan Wen Shihuan Wang Pengfei Guan Dafu Chen Chengyun Ning Lei Zhou Guoxin Tan 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,1:2
18Discrimination of dislocations in 4H-SiC by inclination angles of molten-alkali etched pits显示文摘Discrimination of dislocations is critical to the statistics of dislocation densities in 4H silicon carbide(4H-SiC),which are routinely used to evaluate the quality of 4H-SiC single crystals and homoepitaxial layers.In this work,we show that the inclination angles of the etch pits of molten-alkali etched 4H-SiC can be adopted to discriminate threading screw dislocations(TSDs),threading edge dislocations(TEDs)and basal plane dislocations(BPDs)in 4H-SiC.In n-type 4H-SiC,the inclination angles of the etch pits of TSDs,TEDs and BPDs in molten-alkali etched 4H-SiC are in the ranges of 27°−35°,8°−15°and 2°−4°,respectively.In semi-insulating 4H-SiC,the inclination angles of the etch pits of TSDs and TEDs are in the ranges of 31°−34°and 21°−24°,respectively.The inclination angles of dislocation-related etch pits are independent of the etching duration,which facilitates the discrimination and statistic of dislocations in 4H-SiC.More significantly,the inclination angle of a threading mixed dislocations(TMDs)is found to consist of characteristic angles of both TEDs and TSDs.This enables to distinguish TMDs from TSDs in 4H-SiC.Guang Yang Hao Luo Jiajun Li Qinqin Shao Yazhe Wang Ruzhong Zhu Xi Zhang Lihui Song Yiqiang Zhang Lingbo Xu Can Cui Xiaodong Pi Deren Yang Rong Wang 2022Journal of Semiconductors2022,43,12:2
19Generating Giant Membrane Vesicles from Live Cells with Preserved Cellular Properties显示文摘Biomimetic giant membrane vesicles,with size and lipid compositions comparable to cells,have been recognized as an attractive experimental alternative to living systems.Due to the similarity of their membrane structure to that of body cells,cell-derived giant plasma membrane vesicles have been used as a membrane model for studying lipid/protein behavior of plasma membranes.However,further application of biomimetic giant membrane vesicles has been hampered by the side-efects of chemical vesiculants and the utilization of osmotic bufer.We herein develop a facile strategy to derive giant membrane vesicles(GMVs)from mammalian cells in biofriendly medium with high yields.Tese GMVs preserve membrane properties and adaptability for surface modifcation and encapsulation of exogenous molecules,which would facilitate their potential biological applications.Moreover,by loading GMVs with therapeutic drugs,GMVs could be employed for drug transport to tumor cells,which represents another step forward in the biomedical application of giant membrane vesicles.Tis study highlights biocompatible GMVs with biomimicking membrane surface properties and adaptability as an ideal platform for drug delivery strategies with potential clinical applications.Qiaoling Liu Cheng Bi Jiangling Li Xuejiao Liu Ruizi Peng Cheng Jin Yang Sun Yifan Lyu Hui Liu Huijing Wang Can Luo Weihong Tan 2019Research2019,,1:2
20In-situ generation and global property profiling of metal nanoclusters by ultraviolet laser dissociation-mass spectrometry显示文摘Metal nanoclusters are promising nanomaterials with unique properties, but only a few ones with specific numbers of metal atoms can be obtained and studied up to now. In this study, we establish a new paradigm of in-situ generation and global study of metal nanoclusters with different sizes, constitutions, and charge states, including both accurate constitution characterization and global activity profiling. The complex mixtures of metal nanoclusters are produced by employing single-pulsed 193-nm laser dissociation of monolayer-protected cluster(MPC) precursors within a high-resolution mass spectrometry(HRMS). More than400 types of bare gold nanoclusters including novel multiply charged(2+ and 3+), S-/P-doped, and silver alloy ones can be efficiently generated and accurately characterized. A distinct size(1 to 142 atoms)-and charge(1+ to 3+)-hierarchy reactivity is clearly observed for the first time.
