| 1 | Catalytic oxidation of CO on mesoporous codoped ceria catalysts:Insights into correlation of physicochemical property and catalytic activity显示文摘Codoping approach is an appealing strategy to further improve the catalytic activity of Ce-based catalysts.In the present study,Mn and/or Cu doped ceria solid solutions MnxCuyCe1-x-yO2,CuxCe1-xO2,MnxCe1-xO2 and pure CeO2 were prepared by CTAB-assisted hydrothermal method for CO oxidation.XRD,SEM,EDS,BET,Raman,H2-TPR,XPS and in situ DRIFTS techniques were carried out to study the physicochemical properties and to correlate them to the activity.The doped samples maintain the cubic fluorite structure of CeO2 with high crystallinity and small crystallite size,forming Ce-based solid solutions.The obtained catalysts have large mesoporous structure with average pore size of 10-14 nm.The doped transition metal enhances the oxygen vacancies and improves reducibility of the solids.The synergistic interaction of Mn and Cu codoping induces mo re oxygen vacancies,pro moting the increase of surface adsorbed oxygen and the transfer of bulk oxygen of catalyst,thereby enhancing the catalytic activity for CO oxidation.Besides,the decomposition rate of the carbonate species which is derived from in situ DRIFTS for each catalyst can provide a measure to evaluate its catalytic activity of CO oxidation. | Hongjian Zhu Yingying Chen Yibo Gao Wenxu Liu Zhongpeng Wang Chenchen Cui Wei Liu Liguo Wang | 2019 | Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,9: | 5 |

| 13 | Characterization,identification and life prediction of acoustic emission signals of tensile damage for HSR gearbox housing material显示文摘Purpose-This study aims to ensure the operation safety of high speed trains,it is necessary to carry out nondestructive monitoring of the tensile damage of the gearbox housing material in rail time,yet the traditional tests of mechanical property can hardly meet this requirement.Design/methodology/approach-In this study the acoustic emission(AE)technology is applied in the tensile tests of the gearbox housing material of an high-speed rail(HSR)train,during which the acoustic signatures are acquired for parameter analysis.Afterward,the support vector machine(SVM)classifier is introduced to identify and classify the characteristic parameters extracted,on which basis the SVM is improved and the weighted support vector machine(WSVM)method is applied to effectively reduce the misidentification of the SVM classifier.Through the study of the law of relations between the characteristic values and the tensile life,a degradation model of the gearbox housing material amid tensile is built.Findings-The results show that the growth rate of the logarithmic hit count of AE signals and that of logarithmic amplitude can well characterize the stage of the material tensile process,and the WSVM method can improve the classification accuracy of the imbalanced data to above 94%.The degradation model built can identify the damage occurred to the HSR gearbox housing material amid the tensile process and predict the service life remains.Originality/value-The results of this study provide new concepts for the life prediction of tensile samples,and more further tests should be conducted to verify the conclusion of this research. | Ai Yibo Zhang Yuanyuan Cui Hao Zhang Weidong | 2023 | Railway Sciences2023,2,2: | 0 |
| 14 | Dietary supplementation of benzoic acid and essential oils combination enhances intestinal resilience against LPS stimulation in weaned piglets显示文摘Background The benefits of combining benzoic acid and essential oils(BAO)to mitigate intestinal impairment during the weaning process have been well established,while the detailed underlying mechanism has not been fully elucidated.Previous research has primarily focused on the reparative effects of BAO on intestinal injury,while neglecting its potential in enhancing intestinal stress resistance.Methods In this study,we investigated the pre-protective effect of BAO against LPS-induced stress using a modified experimental procedure.Piglets were pre-supplemented with BAO for 14 d,followed by a challenge with LPS or saline to collect blood and intestinal samples.Results Our findings demonstrated that BAO supplementation led to significant improvements in piglets’final weight,average daily gain,and feed intake/body gain ratio.Additionally,BAO supplementation positively influenced the composition of intestinal microbiota,increasing beneficial Actinobacteriota and Alloprevotella while reducing harmful Desulfobacterota,Prevotella and Oscillospira.Furthermore,BAO supplementation effectively mitigated oxidative disturbances and inflammatory responses induced by acute LPS challenge.This was evidenced by elevated levels of T-AOC,SOD,and GSH,as well as decreased levels of MDA,TNF-α,and IL-6 in the plasma.Moreover,piglets subjected to LPS challenge and pre-supplemented with BAO exhibited significant improvements in intestinal morphological structure and enhanced integrity,as indicated by restored expression levels of Occludin and Claudin-1 compared to the non-supplemented counterparts.Further analysis revealed that BAO supplementation enhanced the jejunal antioxidative capacity by increasing GSH-Px levels and decreasing MDA levels under the LPS challenge and stimulated the activation of the Nrf2 signaling pathway.Additionally,the reduction of TLR4/NF-κB/MAPK signaling pathways activation and proinflammatory factor were also observed in the jejunal of those piglets fed with BAO.Conclusions In summary,our study demonstrates that pre-supplementation of BAO enhances the anti-stress capacity of weaned piglets by improving intestinal microbiota composition,reinforcing the intestinal barrier,and enhancing antioxidative and anti-inflammatory capabilities.These effects are closely associated with the activation of Nrf2 and TLR4/NF-κB/MAPK signaling pathways. | Chang Cui Yulong Wei Yibo Wang Wen Ma Xiaoyu Zheng Jun Wang Ziwei Ma Caichi Wu Licui Chu Shihai Zhang Wutai Guan Fang Chen | 2024 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2024,15,2: | 0 |
| 15 | UV light spectral response of photosynthetic photochemical efficiency in alpine mosses显示文摘Aims Bryophytes play an important role in primary production in harsh alpine environment.As other alpine plants,the alpine bryophytes are often exposed to stronger UV radiation than lowland plants.Plants growing under high UV radiation may differ from those from low UV regimes in their physiological response to UV radiation.We were to(i)test the hypothesis and to address whether and/or how alpine bryophytes differ in photosynthetic photochemical characteristics in response to UV light and(ii)understand the potential effects of UV radiation on photosynthetic photochemical process in alpine bryophytes.Methods We examined the maximum quantum efficiency of photosystem II(PSII)photochemistry(F_(v)/F_(m))for two alpine bryophyte species,Distichium inclinatum and Encalypta alpine,from a Kobresia humilis meadow and a Kobresia tibetica wetland,respectively,in Haibei,Qinghai(3729#N,10112#E,altitude 3250 m),and for a lowland bryophyte,Polytrichum juniperinum,under different spectrum of UV light.Biological spectral weighting function(BSWF)was obtained to evaluate the effect of UV light on the physiological response in these species.Important Findings 1)The maximum quantum efficiency of photosystem II photochemistry(F_(v)/F_(m))declined linearly with the increase of radiation dose in wavelengths from 250 to 420 nm.The effect of UV radiation on F_(v)/F_(m)decreased with higher rate from 250 to 320 nm and from 400 to 420 nm than in UVA range.2)The three species from different ecosystems contrasting in altitudes showed similar pattern of UV effectiveness.In comparison with other species reported so far,the moss BSWF was among those with the most modest decrease trend with spectrum effect of UV light 50 times higher at 250 than at 420 nm.3)Under the scenario of 16%reduction of stratospheric ozone,the integrated effectiveness from 290 to 345 nm increased only 5%,suggesting that the photochemical activity of the bryophyte PSII is likely to insensitive to O3 depletion. | Wei Ren Hongchao Tan Jing Wu Yongcui Deng Yibo Wu Yanhong Tang Xiaoyong Cui | 2010 | Journal of Plant Ecology2010,3,1: | 0 |
| 16 | Root-order-associated variations in fine-root decomposition and their effects on soil in a subtropical evergreen forest显示文摘Background:Despite the importance of root decomposition in predicting ecosystem responses to future climate change,the effects of branch order on root decomposition and the feedback to soil still remains poorly understood.Here we separated root samples taken from two tree species(Castanopsis fargesii and Schima superba in subtropical forests along the coastal area in eastern China)into four-order classes(1st–2nd order,3rd order,4th order,and 5th order)and conducted a 540-day litterbag incubation experiment in laboratory to examine root mass loss,nutrient release,and the influence on soil during decomposition.Results:C.fargesii roots of 1st–2nd and 3rd order decayed more slowly than those of 4th and 5th order,but this pattern was not significant for S.superba.Of all the measured root traits,the decomposition rates correlated best with root C/N ratio,diameter and specific root length(SRL)based on the structural equation modeling.Both tree species and root order exhibited significantly effects on root initial traits.Overall,C.fargesii roots decay faster than S.superba,and this appears to be associated with root initial C quality and N concentration.In addition,root order positively affected root decomposition rates mainly through root diameter and SRL.However,no significant difference was found in C and N content between soils below the litterbag with different-order roots.Conclusions:Our findings suggest the effects of branch order on root decomposition are dependent on tree species.Moreover,root morphological properties might also be the controlling factor in root decay besides root chemistry fractions.Overall,the integrative effects should be considered to improve our understanding of the fate of fine-root litter and their contribution to soil C and N pool. | Yibo Wu Mengling Zhang Zhibao Cheng Fang Wang Xiaoyong Cui | 2022 | Ecological Processes2022,11,1: | 0 |
