1Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). 2Exogenous application of succinic acid enhances tolerance of Larix olgensis seedling to lead stress显示文摘Larix olgensis A. Henry(Changbai larch) is a productive commercial species and good candidate for afforestation in northeast China. It is widely planted in lead-stressed soils which can induce oxidative damage in this plant. Increasing tolerance to lead(Pb) stress is therefore of keen interest. A greenhouse experiment was conducted to identify the biomass, physiological responses and Pb accumulation of L. olgensis seedlings to Pb stress under succinic acid(SA) application and to explore the interaction of exogenous SA applications and stress resistance. L. olgensis seedlings were planted in Pb-stressed or unstressed haplic cambisols in pots. In Pb-contaminated soils the seedlings were treated daily with concentrations of SA solutions at a rate approximately equivalent to 0, 0.04,0.2, 1.0, or 2.0 mmol kg^(-1) of soil for 10, 20, and 30 days,respectively. Pb treatment induced damage in the seedlings and led to the inhibition of biomass accumulation in roots,stems and leaves, and a rise in Pb accumulation in fine roots and leaves. Malondialdehyde(MDA) content and electrolyte leakage in leaves significantly increased while peroxidase(POD) activities, soluble protein and photosynthetic pigment contents in leaves were all reduced.Physiological toxicity was promoted with increasing Pb treatment times. When Pb-stressed seedlings were exposed to SA(especially 10.0 mmol L-1 over 20 days), the physiological responses for Pb-only were reversed and the biomass of roots, stems, and leaves dramatically increased.SA facilitated Pb uptake in fine roots and leaves but more Pb accumulated in fine roots. 3SUMOylation-modified Pelota-Hbs1 RNA surveillance complex restricts the infection of potyvirids in plants显示文摘RNA quality control nonsense-mediated decay is involved in viral restriction in both plants and animals.However,it is not known whether two other RNA quality control pathways,nonstop decay and no-go decay,are capable of restricting viruses in plants.Here,we show that the evolutionarily conserved Pelota–Hbs1 complex negatively regulates infection of plant viruses in the family Potyviridae(termed potyvirids),the largest group of plant RNA viruses that accounts for more than half of the viral crop damage worldwide.Pelota enables the recognition of the functional G1-2A6-7 motif in the P3 cistron,which is conserved in almost all potyvirids.This allows Pelota to target the virus and act as a viral restriction factor.Furthermore,Pelota interacts with the SUMO E2-conjugating enzyme SCE1 and is SUMOylated in planta.Blocking Pelota SUMOylation disrupts the ability to recruit Hbs1 and inhibits viral RNA degradation.These findings reveal the functional importance of Pelota SUMOylation during the infection of potyvirids in plants.Linhao Ge Buwei Cao Rui Qiao Hongguang Cui Shaofang Li Hongying Shan Pan Gong Mingzhen Zhang Hao Li Aiming Wang Xueping Zhou Fangfang Li 2023Molecular Plant2023,16,3:2
4An efficient papaya leaf distortion mosaic potyvirus vector for virus-induced gene silencing in papaya显示文摘Papaya(Carica papaya L.)is regarded as an excellent model for genomic studies of tropical trees because of its short generation time and its small genome that has been sequenced.However,functional genomic studies in papaya depend on laborious genetic transformations because no rapid tools exist for this species.Here,we developed a highly efficient virus-induced gene silencing(VIGS)vector for use in papaya by modifying an artificially attenuated infectious clone of papaya leaf distortion mosaic virus(PLDMV;genus:Potyvirus),PLDMV-E,into a stable Nimble Cloning(NC)-based PLDMV vector,pPLDMV-NC,in Escherichia coli.The target fragments for gene silencing can easily be cloned into pPLDMV-NC without multiple digestion and ligation steps.Using this PLDMV VIGS system,we silenced and characterized five endogenous genes in papaya,including two common VIGS marker genes,namely,phytoene desaturase,Mg-chelatase H subunit,putative GIBBERELLIN(GA)-INSENSITIVE DWARF1A and 1B encoding GA receptors;and the cytochrome P450 gene CYP83B1,which encodes a key enzyme involved in benzylglucosinolate biosynthesis.The results demonstrate that our newly developed PLDMV VIGS vector is a rapid and convenient tool for functional genomic studies in papaya.Decai Tuo Pu Yan Guangyuan Zhao Hongguang Cui Guopeng Zhu Yang Liu Xiukun Yang He Wang Xiaoying Li Wentao Shen Peng Zhou 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:2

7Photochemical hydrogen production with molecular devices comprising a zinc porphyrin and a cobaloxime catalyst显示文摘Two new noble-metal-free molecular devices,[{Co(dmgH) 2 Cl}{Zn(PyTPP)}](1,dmgH = dimethyloxime,PyTPP = 5-(4pyridyl)-10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin) and [{Co(dmgH) 2 Cl}{Zn(apPyTPP)}](2,apPyTPP = 5-[4-(isonicotinamidyl)phenyl]10,15,20-triphenylporphyrin),for light-driven hydrogen generation were prepared and spectroscopically characterized.The zinc porphyrin photosensitizer and the Co III-based catalyst unit are linked by axial coordination of a pyridyl group in the periphery of zinc-porphyrin to the cobalt centre of catalyst with different lengths of bridges.The apparent fluorescence quenching and lifetime decays of 1 and 2 were observed in comparison with their reference chromophores,Zn(PyTPP)(3) and Zn(apPyTPP)(4),suggesting a possibility for an intramolecular electron transfer from the singlet excited state of zinc porphyrin unit to the cobalt centre in the molecular devices.Photochemical H2-evolving studies show that complexes 1 and 2 are efficient molecular photocatalysts for visible light-driven H2 generation from water with triethylamine as a sacrificial electron donor in THF/H2 O,with turnover numbers up to 46 and 35 for 1 and 2,respectively.In contrast to these molecular devices,the multicomponent catalyst of zinc porphyrin and [Co(dmgH) 2 PyCl] did not show any fluorescence quenching and as a consequence,no H2 gas was detected by GC analysis in the presence of triethylamine with irradiation of visible light.The plausible mechanism for the photochemical H2 generation with these molecular devices is discussed.ZHANG Pan WANG Mei LI XueQiang CUI HongGuang DONG JingFeng SUN LiCheng 2012Science China Chemistry2012,55,7:1

9Microzone-explosion synthesis of porous carbon electrodes for advanced aqueous solid-state supercapacitors with a high-voltage gel electrolyte显示文摘A new microzone-combustion synthesis is proposed for preparing S, N-doped hierarchically porous carbons(CAC-CN) with a novel mixed microstructure of sp~2 short-range order area and sp~3 defective area,achieving a coexistence of high conductivity and high capacitance as well as good access for electrolyte.By engineering ‘‘water in salts' into a polymer matrix, a high-voltage(2.5 V) aqueous gel electrolyte(HGWIS) is prepared and used to construct an aqueous solid-state SCs by in situ polymerization between the electrodes. The good match of CAC-CN electrode and HG-WIS electrolyte endows the assembled devices with superior high energy density and excellent capacitance retention, also a good temperature robustness, as well a high flexibility in 0-180° bending cycles. 10Remote Sensing of Sea Surface Wind of Hurricane Michael by GPS Reflected Signals显示文摘In this paper, the propagating geometry and the w av eform of the GPS reflected signals are expatiated in detail. Furthermore, the pr inciple and the method of retrieving sea surface wind are presented. In order to test the feasibility of retrieval, the experiment data obtained by NASA in Hurr icane Michael are used.
