| 2 | Salmonella flagella confer anti-tumor immunological effect via activating Flagellin/TLR5 signalling within tumor microenvironment显示文摘Salmonella:mediated cancer therapy has achieved remarkable anti-tumor effects in experimental animal models,but the detailed mechanism remains unsolved.In this report,the active involvement of the host immune response in this process was confirmed by comparing the tumor-suppressive effects of Salmonella in immunocompetent and immunodeficient mice bearing melanoma allografts.Since flagella are key inducers of the host immune response during bacterial infection,flagella were genetically disrupted to analyse their involvement in Salmonella-mediated cancer therapy.The results showed that flagellum-deficient strains failed to induce significant anti-tumor effects,even when more bacteria were administered to offset the difference in invasion efficiency.Flagella mainly activate immune cells via Flagellin/Toll-like receptor 5(TLR5)signalling pathway.Indeed,we showed that exogenous activation of TLR5 signalling by recombinant Flagellin and exogenous expression of TLR5 both enhanced the therapeutic efficacy of flagellum-deficient Salmonella against melanoma.Our study highlighted the therapeutic value of the interaction between Salmonella and the host immune response through Flagellin/TLR5 signalling pathway during Salmonella-mediated cancer therapy,thereby suggesting the potential application of TLR5 agonists in the cancer immune therapy. | Jianxiang Chen Yiting Qiao Guo Chen Cunjie Chang Heng Dong Bo Tang Xiawei Cheng Xiufeng Liu Zichun Hua | 2021 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,10: | 6 |

| 4 | Effects of Exogenous 5-Aminolevulinic Acid and 24-Epibrassinolide on Cd Accumulation in Rice from Cd-Contaminated Soil显示文摘High grain-Cd-accumulating rice variety Yongyou 9 was planted in Cd-contaminated farmland in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province, China to study the effects of 5-aminolevulinic acid(ALA) and24-epibrassinolide(EBR) on Cd accumulation in brown rice. Results showed that the exogenous ALA and EBR had no significant effects on agronomic traits, soil pH and total Cd content in soil, but had some effects on the available Cd content in soil, and significantly influenced the Cd accumulation in the different parts of rice. Results also showed that 100 mg/L exogenous ALA significantly reduced the Cd accumulation in brown rice to blow the food safety standard(0.2 mg/kg), and also significantly reduced the Cd contents in the roots and culm of rice. However, 200 mg/L exogenous ALA treatment increased the Cd content in brown rice remarkably. In addition, 0.15 mg/L EBR treatment increased Cd accumulation in roots, culm, leaves and brown rice notably, whereas 0.30 mg/L exogenous EBR treatment reduced the Cd accumulation in brown rice properly, but it was not significant. | 9 | Fabrication of GO/magnetic graphitic nanocapsule/TiO_2 assemblies as efficient and recyclable photocatalysts显示文摘In this work, we fabricate an efficient and stable photocatalyst system which has superior recyclability even under concentrated acidic conditions. The photocatalyst is prepared by assembling magnetic graphitic nanocapsules, titania(Ti O2) and graphene oxide(GO) into a complex system through π-π stacking and electrostatic interactions. Such catalytic complex demonstrates very high stability. Even after dispersal into a concentrated acidic solution for one month, this photocatalyst could still be recycled and maintain its catalytic activity. With methyl orange as the model molecule, the photocatalyst is demonstrated to rapidly decompose the molecules with very high photocatalytic activity under both concentrated acidic and neutral condition. Moreover, this photocatalyst retains approximately 100 wt% of its original photocatalytic activity even after multiple experimental runs, of magnetic recycling. | 10 | A near-infrared porphyrin-based electron acceptor for non-fullerene organic solar cells显示文摘In this work, a new star-shaped electron acceptor based on porphyrin as core, rhodanine and benzothiadiazole as end groups, was developed for non-fullerene solar cells. The molecule shows three distinct absorption regions due to the Soret and Q-bands of the porphyrin and the intramolecular charge transfer in the molecule. This molecule as electron acceptor was applied into non-fullerene solar cells by using a diketopyrrolopyrrole-based conjugated polymer as electron donor. An initial PCE of 1.9% was achieved with a broad photo-response from 300-850 nm. | 12 | Influence of imidazole derivatives on the dielectric and energy storage performance of epoxy显示文摘Imidazoles are widely used as curing agents and accelerators for fabricating crosslinked epoxy materials applied in electrical and electronic fields.However,the intrinsic chemical structure of imidazole derivatives would greatly influence the polymerisation process,and further change the electrical properties,which was not emphasised.To achieve an in-depth understanding,commonly used imidazole only containing pyridine-type nitrogen and imidazole with both pyridine and pyrrole-type nitrogen were selected in this study.Electrical properties including dielectric properties,volume resistivity,breakdown strength,and especially energy storage performances were systematically investigated.We figured out that higher breakdown strength,glass transition temperature,and lower dielectric loss can be achieved with imidazole containing pyrrole-type nitrogen.Structure-induced curing mechanism diversity and the generated differences in polymer network were highlighted.With the capability to incorporate into the polymer network,the dielectric constant/loss of epoxy cured by imidazole containing pyrrole-type nitrogen is less sensitive with variation in concentration and a high breakdown strength of 577.9 MV/m was achieved.On the contrary,conspicuous decrease in the breakdown strength and increase in dielectric loss of the epoxy cured by imidazole only containing pyridine-type nitrogen were observed,especially at high concentration.Moreover,we also found that the epoxy can be fabricated into films with an attractive energy storage density/efficiency of 1.1 J/cm^(3)/97%@200 MV/m,which is twice of the commercial dielectric polypropylene film under the same electric field. | Jiaming Luo Lei Zhang Wenjie Sun Jiale Mao Yiting Zheng Shuang Wang Ziqi Zhang Yingxin Chen Yonghong Cheng | 2022 | High Voltage2022,7,4: | 1 |

| 15 | The miR-21-5p enriched in the apoptotic bodies of M2 macrophage-derived extracellular vesicles alleviates osteoarthritis by changing macrophage phenotype显示文摘Macrophages (Mφs) play a crucial role in the pathological progression of osteoarthritis (OA) by regulating inflammation and tissue repair. Decreasing pro-inflammatory M1-Mφs and increasing anti-inflammatory M2-Mφs can alleviate OA-related inflammation and promote cartilage repair. Apoptosis is a natural process associated with tissue repair. A large number of apoptotic bodies (ABs), a type of extracellular vesicle, are produced during apoptosis, and this is associated with a reduction in inflammation. However, the functions of apoptotic bodies remain largely unknown. In this study, we investigated the role of M2-Mφs-derived apoptotic bodies (M2-ABs) in regulating the M1/M2 balance of macrophages in a mouse model of OA. Our data show that M2-ABs can be targeted for uptake by M1-Mφs, and this reprograms M1-to-M2 phenotypes within 24 h. The M2-ABs significantly ameliorated the severity of OA, alleviated the M1-mediated pro-inflammatory environment, and inhibited chondrocyte apoptosis in mice. RNA-seq revealed that M2-ABs were enriched with miR-21–5p, a microRNA that is negatively correlated with articular cartilage degeneration. Inhibiting the function of miR-21–5p in M1-Mφs significantly reduced M2-ABs-guided M1-to-M2 reprogramming following in vitro cell transfection. Together, these results suggest that M2-derived apoptotic bodies can prevent articular cartilage damage and improve gait abnormalities in OA mice by reversing the inflammatory response caused by M1 macrophages. The mechanism underlying these findings may be related to miR-21-5p-regulated inhibition of inflammatory factors.
