2Comparison of sentinel lymph node detection performances using blue dye in conjunction with indocyanine green or radioisotope in breast cancer patients: a prospective singlecenter randomized study显示文摘Objective:This randomized study aimed to compare the clinical efficacy between the novel dual tracer composed of indocyanine green(ICG)and blue dye(BD)and the conventional dual tracer composed of radioisotope and BD for sentinel lymph node(SLN)mapping in patients with breast cancer.Methods:This study enrolled 471 clinically lymph node-negative patients with primary breast cancer.All patients underwent mastectomy,and those undergoing sentinel lymph node biopsy(SLNB)were randomized to receive blue dye plus radioisotope(RB group)or BD plus ICG(IB group).The detection performances on SLN identification rate,positive SLN counts,detection sensitivity,and false-negative rate were compared between the two groups.Results:In the IB group,97%(194/200)of the patients who underwent the ICG and BD dual tracer injection showed fluorescentpositive lymphatic vessels within 2–5 min.The identification rate of SLNs was comparable between the IB group(99.0%,198/200)and the RB group(99.6%,270/271)(P=0.79).No significant differences were observed in the identification rate of metastatic SLNs(22.5%vs.22.9%,P>0.05,RB group vs.IB group,the same below),positive SLN counts(3.72±2.28 vs.3.91±2.13,P>0.05),positive metastatic SLN counts(0.38±0.84 vs.0.34±0.78,P>0.05),SLNB detection sensitivity(94.4%vs.92.5%,P>0.05),or false-negative rate(5.6%vs.7.5%,P>0.05)between the two groups.Conclusions:ICG can be used as a promising alternative tracer for radioisotope in SLN mapping,and when it is combined with BD in lymphangiography,it offers comparable detection sensitivity compared to the conventional lymphatic mapping strategies that are widely used in clinical practice.Long Yuan Xiaowei Qi Yi Zhang Xinhua Yang Fan Zhang Linjun Fan Li Chen Kongyong Zhang Ling Zhong Yanling Li Sijie Gan Wenying Fu Jun Jiang 2018Cancer Biology & Medicine2018,15,4:9
3Active/passive Q-switching operation of 2 μm Tm,Ho:YAP laser with an acousto-optical Q-switch/MoS_2 saturable absorber mirror显示文摘The active/passive Q-switching operation of a 2 μm a-cut Tm,Ho:YAP laser was experimentally demonstrated with an acousto-optical Q–switch∕MoS_2 saturable absorber mirror. The active Q-switch laser was operated for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, with an average output power of 12.3 W and a maximum pulse energy of 10.3 mJ. 5Injectable self-healing hydrogel with siRNA delivery property for sustained STING silencing and enhanced therapy of intervertebral disc degeneration显示文摘Inflammatory responses of nucleus pulposus(NP)can induce imbalanced anabolism and catabolism of extracellular matrix,and the cytosolic dsDNA accumulation and STING-NF-κB pathway activation found in NP inflammation are considered as fairly important cause of intervertebral disc(IVD)degeneration.Herein,we constructed a siSTING delivery hydrogel of aldehyde hyaluronic acid(HA-CHO)and poly(amidoamine)PAMAM/siRNA complex to intervene the abnormal STING signal for IVD degeneration treatment,where the formation of dynamic Schiff base bonds in the system(siSTING@HPgel)was able to overcome the shortcomings such as low cellular uptake,short half-life,and rapid degradation of siRNA-based strategy.PAMAM not only formed complexes with siRNA to promote siRNA transfection,but also served as dynamic crosslinker to construct hydrogel,and the injectable and self-healing hydrogel efficiently and steadily silenced STING expression in NP cells.Finally,the siSTING@HPgel significantly eased IVD inflammation and slowed IVD degeneration by prolonging STING knockdown in puncture-induced IVD degeneration rat model,revealing that STING pathway was a therapeutic target for IVD degeneration and such novel hydrogel had great potential for being applied to many other diseases for gene delivery.Jiaxin Chen Haifeng Zhu Yutao Zhu Chenchen Zhao Shengyu Wang Yixin Zheng Ziang Xie Yang Jin Honghai Song Linjun Yang Jin Zhang Jiayong Dai Zhijun Hu Huaiyu Wang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,3:2

9FGF8-mediated signaling regulates tooth developmental pace during odontogenesis显示文摘The developing human and mouse teeth constitute an ideal model system to study the regulatory mechanism underlying organ growth control since their teeth share highly conserved and well-characterized developmental processes, and their developmental tempo varies notably. In the current study, we manipulated heterogenous recombination between human and mouse dental tissues and demonstrated that the dental mesenchyme dominates the tooth developmental tempo and FGF8 could be a critical player during this developmental process. Forced activation of FGF8 signaling in the dental mesenchyme of mice promoted cell proliferation, prevented cell apoptosis via p38 and perhaps PI3 K-Akt intracellular signaling,and impelled the transition of the cell cycle from G1-to S-phase in the tooth germ, resulting in the slowdown of the tooth developmental pace. 13Controlling exciton-exciton annihilation in WSe_(2) bilayers via interlayer twist显示文摘The twist angle between two van der Waals coupled monolayers has emerged as a new and powerful degree of freedom for engineering physical properties of semiconductor homo-and hetero-bilayers.While the interlayer twist has shown prominent effect on electronic and optical properties of transition metal dichalcogenide(TMD)bilayers,it remains unclear how it could be used to manipulate the exciton dynamics,especially exciton-exciton annihilation(EEA)process which is the dominant energy loss channel in TMDs under moderate to high exciton density due to strong Coulomb interaction.Herein,we show that the twist angle in TMD bilayers can act as an effective knob to control the EEA process.Specifically,EEA rate constant increases from 1° twisted WSe_(2) bilayers(0.026 cm^(2)/s)by more than twice to 32° twisted bilayers(0.053 cm2/s)and then drops again in 60° twisted bilayers(0.019 cm^(2)/s).This twist-angle dependence can be attributed to the energy difference between indirect and direct excitons arising from the interlayer interaction.Our work opens up the possibility of artificially managing the exciton dynamics in TMD materials for optoelectronic applications via interlayer twist angle.Yuzhong Chen Bichuan Cao Cheng Sun Zedong Wang Hongzhi Zhou Linjun Wang Haiming Zhu 2022Nano Research2022,15,5:1

15Exploiting flash memory characteristics to improve performance of RAIS storage systems显示文摘Redundant array of independent SSDs (RAIS) is generally based on the traditional RAID design and implementation. The random small write problem is a serious challenge of RAIS. Random small writes in parity-based RAIS systems generate significantly more pre-reads and writes which can degrade RAIS performance and shorten SSD lifetime. In order to overcome the well-known write-penalty problem in the parity-based RAID5 storage systems, several logging techniques such as Parity Logging and Data Logging have been put forward. However, these techniques are originally based on mechanical characteristics of the HDDs, which ignore the properties of the flash memory. In this article, we firstly propose RAISL, a flash-aware logging method that improves the small write performance of RAIS storage systems. RAISL writes new data instead of new data and pre-read data to the log SSD by making full use of the invalid pages on the SSD of RAIS. RAISL does not need to perform the pre-read operations so that the original characteristics of workloads are kept. Secondly, we propose AGCRL on the basis of RAISL to further boost performance. AGCRL combines RAISL with access characteristic to guide read and write cost regulation to improve the performance of RAIS storage systems. Our experiments demonstrate that the RAISL significantly improves write performance and AGCRL improves both of write performance and read performance. 18An estimation framework of regional rooftop photovoltaic potential based on satellite remote sensing images显示文摘This paper proposes a comprehensive framework for estimating the regional rooftop photovoltaic(PV)potential.The required rooftop information is extracted from Gao Fen-7 satellite images.In particular,the rooftop area is obtained using a semantic segmentation network.The azimuth and inclination angles are calculated based on the digital surface model.In addition,to improve the accuracy of the economic evaluation,buildings are divided into commercial and industrial buildings and residential buildings.Based on the difference in the roof inclination,the rooftops can be divided into flat roofs,on which the PV panels are installed with the optimal inclination angle,and sloped rooftops,on which the PV panels are installed in a lay-flat manner.The solar irradiation on the plane-of-array is calculated using the isotropic sky translocation model.Then,the available installed capacity and generation potential of the rooftop PV is obtained.Finally,the net present value,dynamic payback period,and internal rate of return are used to evaluate the economic efficiency of the rooftop PV project.The proposed framework is applied in the Da Xing district of Beijing,China,with a total area of 546.84 km^(2).The results show that the rooftop area and available installed capacity of PV are 25.63 km^(2)and 1487.45 MWp,respectively.The annual rooftop PV generation potential is 2832.23 GWh,with significant economic returns.Boyu Chen Yanbo Che Jingkai Wang Hongfeng Li Linjun Yu Dacheng Wang 2022Global Energy Interconnection2022,5,3:0
