1Emerging phagocytosis checkpoints in cancer immunotherapy显示文摘Cancer immunotherapy,mainly including immune checkpoints-targeted therapy and the adoptive transfer of engineered immune cells,has revolutionized the oncology landscape as it utilizes patients’own immune systems in combating the cancer cells.Cancer cells escape immune surveillance by hijacking the corresponding inhibitory pathways via overexpressing checkpoint genes.Phagocytosis checkpoints,such as CD47,CD24,MHC-I,PD-L1,STC-1 and GD2,have emerged as essential checkpoints for cancer immunotherapy by functioning as“don’t eat me”signals or interacting with“eat me”signals to suppress immune responses.Phagocytosis checkpoints link innate immunity and adaptive immunity in cancer immunotherapy.Genetic ablation of these phagocytosis checkpoints,as well as blockade of their signaling pathways,robustly augments phagocytosis and reduces tumor size.Among all phagocytosis checkpoints,CD47 is the most thoroughly studied and has emerged as a rising star among targets for cancer treatment.CD47-targeting antibodies and inhibitors have been investigated in various preclinical and clinical trials.However,anemia and thrombocytopenia appear to be formidable challenges since CD47 is ubiquitously expressed on erythrocytes.Here,we review the reported phagocytosis checkpoints by discussing their mechanisms and functions in cancer immunotherapy,highlight clinical progress in targeting these checkpoints and discuss challenges and potential solutions to smooth the way for combination immunotherapeutic strategies that involve both innate and adaptive immune responses.Yu’e Liu Yanjin Wang Yanrong Yang Linjun Weng Qi Wu Jin Zhang Pengcheng Zhao Lan Fang Yufeng Shi Ping Wang 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,4:1

4Learning to represent 2D human face with mathematical model显示文摘How to represent a human face pattern?While it is presented in a continuous way in human visual system,computers often store and process it in a discrete manner with 2D arrays of pixels.The authors attempt to learn a continuous surface representation for face image with explicit function.First,an explicit model(EmFace)for human face representation is pro-posed in the form of a finite sum of mathematical terms,where each term is an analytic function element.Further,to estimate the unknown parameters of EmFace,a novel neural network,EmNet,is designed with an encoder-decoder structure and trained from massive face images,where the encoder is defined by a deep convolutional neural network and the decoder is an explicit mathematical expression of EmFace.The authors demonstrate that our EmFace represents face image more accurate than the comparison method,with an average mean square error of 0.000888,0.000936,0.000953 on LFW,IARPA Janus Benchmark-B,and IJB-C datasets.Visualisation results show that,EmFace has a higher representation performance on faces with various expressions,postures,and other factors.Furthermore,EmFace achieves reasonable performance on several face image processing tasks,including face image restoration,denoising,and transformation.Liping Zhang Weijun Li Linjun Sun Lina Yu Xin Ning Xiaoli Dong 2024CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology2024,9,1:0

7Quality evaluation of glutenite reservoirs of intergranular-secondary dissolution pore type using a quantitative method显示文摘Glutenite(coarse-grained clastic)reservoirs of intergranularesecondary dissolution pore type are dominated by residual intergranular pores and secondary dissolution pores,and characterized by low porosity,low permeability,strong heterogeneity,and highly variable physical properties.It is difficult to conduct a quantitative quality assessment of these reservoirs while their primary control factors remain unclear.In this paper,experimental core data and drilling,logging and seismic data are used to assess the effect of sedimentary facies on reservoir quality.Favorable sedimentary facies zones are identified by analyzing the characteristics of glutenite reservoirs,which includes investigating rock components and their effects on reservoir quality.Argillaceous matrix content and rigid particle content are identified as the primary control factors for these reservoirs.Logging curves sensitive to reservoir quality are selected and examined to continuously characterize the physical parameters of the reservoirs.It establishes a calculation model of reservoir assessment parameters through multivariate regression and determines the quantitative assessment parameter Fr.The quality of the glutenite reservoirs is defined using conventional logging curves.This study also predicts the plane distribution of high-quality reservoirs through geostatistical inversion of the reservoir assessment parameters based on conventional wave impedance inversion,thus providing insight and guidance for quantitative assessment and quality prediction of glutenite reservoirs of the intergranular-secondary dissolution pore type.The application of this method to well deployment based on qualitative evaluation of the glutenite reservoirs in oilfields yielded favorable results.Juanjuan Guo Yu Huang Yanjun Wang Jianguo Pan Linjun Huang 2022Energy Geoscience2022,3,2:0
8An estimation framework of regional rooftop photovoltaic potential based on satellite remote sensing images显示文摘This paper proposes a comprehensive framework for estimating the regional rooftop photovoltaic(PV)potential.The required rooftop information is extracted from Gao Fen-7 satellite images.In particular,the rooftop area is obtained using a semantic segmentation network.The azimuth and inclination angles are calculated based on the digital surface model.In addition,to improve the accuracy of the economic evaluation,buildings are divided into commercial and industrial buildings and residential buildings.Based on the difference in the roof inclination,the rooftops can be divided into flat roofs,on which the PV panels are installed with the optimal inclination angle,and sloped rooftops,on which the PV panels are installed in a lay-flat manner.The solar irradiation on the plane-of-array is calculated using the isotropic sky translocation model.Then,the available installed capacity and generation potential of the rooftop PV is obtained.Finally,the net present value,dynamic payback period,and internal rate of return are used to evaluate the economic efficiency of the rooftop PV project.The proposed framework is applied in the Da Xing district of Beijing,China,with a total area of 546.84 km^(2).The results show that the rooftop area and available installed capacity of PV are 25.63 km^(2)and 1487.45 MWp,respectively.The annual rooftop PV generation potential is 2832.23 GWh,with significant economic returns.Boyu Chen Yanbo Che Jingkai Wang Hongfeng Li Linjun Yu Dacheng Wang 2022Global Energy Interconnection2022,5,3:0
9Polarized Water Driven Dynamic PN Junction-Based Direct-Current Generator显示文摘There is a rising prospective in harvesting energy from the environment,as in situ energy is required for the distributed sensors in the interconnected information society,among which the water flow energy is the most potential candidate as a clean and abundant mechanical source.However,for microscale and unordered movement of water,achieving a sustainable direct-current generating device with high output to drive the load element is still challenging,which requires for further exploration.Herein,we propose a dynamic PN water junction generator with moving water sandwiched between two semiconductors,which outputs a sustainable direct-current voltage of 0.3 V and a current of 0.64μA.The mechanism can be attributed to the dynamic polarization process of water as moving dielectric medium in the dynamic PN water junction,under the Fermi level difference of two semiconductors.We further demonstrate an encapsulated portable power-generating device with simple structure and continuous direct-current voltage output of 0.11 V,which exhibits its promising potential application in the field of wearable devices and the IoTs.Yanghua Lu Yanfei Yan Xutao Yu Xu Zhou Sirui Feng Chi Xu Haonan Zheng Zunshan Yang Linjun Li Kaihui Liu Shisheng Lin 2021Research2021,,1:0
10Survey of the Sleep Quality of Medical Staff in a Grade A Tertiary Hospital during the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Outbreak显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the sleep quality of medical staff in China who are combatting novel coronavirus pneumonia(COVID-19).To perform this,a survey of 127 medical staff from three separate wards(the general ward,isolation ward,and fever clinic)of a Grade A tertiary hospital in China was conducted.The survey questionnaire measured general characteristics and included the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI).We consequently found that global PSQI scores differed significantly between the different wards(χ2=44.561,P<0.001).Whilst the medical staff in the general ward did not report any sleep disturbances,those in the isolation ward and the fever clinic both exhibited various degrees of sleep disturbance(global PSQI score>7).Medical staff in the isolation ward had the worst sleep quality(mean rank=91.74),followed by those in the fever clinic(mean rank=70.52)and the general ward(mean rank=39.10),respectively.The primary sleep disturbances reported by the medical staff from the isolation ward included difficulty falling asleep(24 cases,71.42%),waking early or at night(28 cases,80%),and nightmares(18 cases,51.42%).In addition,31.42%(11 cases)of the medical staff from the isolation ward had less than six hours of sleep a night,and 65.71%(23 cases)felt that their sleep quality was poor;meanwhile,for the staff from the fever clinic these ratios were 16.67%(seven cases)and 33.33%(14 cases),respectively.In contrast,among medical staff in the general ward,98%(49 cases)reported sleeping for more than six hours a night,and 96%felt that their sleep quality was good.In conclusion,of the medical staff providing treatment for COVID-19,those in isolation wards and fever clinics are more likely to experience sleep disturbances.Qiugui Huang Jian Yu Linjun Liang Xiaofang Zhang Yuyao Liu 2020Journal of Clinical and Nursing Research2020,4,5:0
11Fitting objects with implicit polynomials by deep neural network显示文摘Implicit polynomials(IPs)are considered as a powerful tool for object curve fitting tasks due to their simplicity and fewer parameters.The traditional linear methods,such as 3L,Min Var,and Min Max,often achieve good performances in fitting simple objects,but usually work poorly or even fail to obtain closed curves of complex object contours.To handle the complex fitting issues,taking the advantages of deep neural networks,we designed a neural network model continuity-sparsity constrained network(CSC-Net)with encoder and decoder structure to learn the coefficients of IPs.Further,the continuity constraint is added to ensure the obtained curves are closed,and the sparseness constraint is added to reduce the spurious zero sets of the fitted curves.The experimental results show that better performances have been obtained on both simple and complex object fitting tasks.LIU Jingyi YU Lina SUN Linjun TONG Yuerong WU Min LI Weijun 2023Optoelectronics Letters2023,19,1:0
