1Inhibition of SIRT6 in prostate cancer reduces cell viability and increases sensitivity to chemotherapeutics显示文摘SI RT6 is an important histone modifying protein that regulates DNA repair,telomere maintenance,energy me-tabolism,and target gene expression.Recently SIRT6 has been identifi ed as a tumor suppressor and is down-regulated in certain cancer types,but not in other can-cers.From deposited gene profi ling studies we found that SIRT6 was overexpressed in prostate tumors,compared with normal or paratumor prostate tissues.Tissue micro-array studies confi rmed the higher levels of SIRT6 in both prostate tumor tissues and prostate cancer cells than in their normal counterparts.Knockdown of SIRT6 in human prostate cancer cells led to sub-G1 phase arrest of cell cy-cle,increased apoptosis,elevated DNA damage level and decrease in BCL2 gene expression.Moreover,SIRT6-de-fi ciency reduced cell viability and enhanced chemothera-peutics sensitivity.Taken together,this study provides the fi rst evidence of SIRT6 overexpression in human prostate cancer,and SIRT6 regulation could be exploited for pros-tate cancer therapy.Yewei Liu Qian Reuben Xie Boshi Wang Jiaxiang Shao Tingting Zhang Tengyuan Liu Gang Huang Weiliang Xia 2013Protein & Cell2013,4,9:17
2Nutritional assessment with different tools in leukemia patients after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation显示文摘Objective:Correct nutritional assessment is essential for leukemia patients after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT).This study aimed to investigate the best nutritional assessment method for leukemia patients after HSCT,and find the possible nutritional risk of the patients during the transplantation process in order to intervene in the patients with nutritional risks and undernourished patients timely,so that the entire transplantation process could be successfully completed.Methods:A prospective study was performed in 108 leukemia patients after HSCT,and different nutritional assessment methods,including nutritional risk screening 2002(NRS2002),mini nutritional assessment(MNA),subjective globe assessment(SGA)and malnutritional universal screening tools(MUST),were used.The associations between nutritional status of these patients and nutritional assessment methods were analyzed.Results:A total of 108 patients completed SGA,and 99 patients completed NRS2002,MNA and MUST.During the treatment process,85.2%of the patients lost weight,wherein,50%lost weight greater than5%,and 42.6%had significantly reduced food intake.For nutritional risk assessment,the positive rates of NRS2002,MNA and MUST were 100%,74.7%and 63.6%,respectively.There was a significant difference(P<0.05)among the positive rates of NRS2002,MNA and MUST.In undernutrition assessment,the positive rate of SGA(83.3%)was significantly higher than that of MNA(17.2%)(P<0.05),and the incidence rate of nutritional risk among leukemia patients≤30 years old was greater than that of patients>30 years old(P<0.05).Conclusions:Patients with leukemia were in poor nutritional status during and after HSCT.The leukemia patients≤30 years old had a greater incidence rate of nutritional risk.As nutritional risk screening tool,the specificity of NRS2002 is not high,but it can be used for evaluating nutritional deficiencies.MNA is a good nutritional risk screening tool,but not an adequate tool for nutritional assessment.If assessment of undernutrition is necessary,the combination of all these screening tools and clinical laboratory indicators should be applied to improve accuracy.Boshi Wang Xia Yan Jingjing Cai Yu Wang Peng Liu 2013Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,6:14
3Primary dolostone related to the Cretaceous lacustrine hydrothermal sedimentation in Qingxi sag, Jiuquan Basin on the northern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Based on comprehensive studies in petrography,petrofabric analysis and geochemistry,this paper describes a unique and rare laminated micritic ferruginous primary dolostone crystallized and precipitated from the alkaline hot brine under the conditions of the Mesozoic faulted lake basin.The main rock-forming mineral of this dolostone is ferruginous dolomite with a micritic structure.This dolomite mostly exhibits laminae of 0.1–1 mm thick and is often discovered with other minerals,such as albite,analcite,barite and dickite,which have at least two types of interbedded laminae.Petrogeochemistry reveals that this dolostone contains a large number of typomorphic elements of hydrothermal sedimentation,including Sb,Ba,Sr,Mn,and V.In addition,the LREE is in relatively high concentrations and possesses the typical REE distribution pattern with negative Eu anomaly.Oxygen isotope values(δ18OPDB)range from 5.89‰to 14.15‰with an average of 9.69‰.The ratio of87Sr/86Sr is between0.711648 and 0.719546,with an average of 0.714718.These data indicate that the depositional environment is a stable,blocked,anoxic low-lying hot brine pool in the bottom of deep lake controlled by basement faults.The hydrothermal fluid is the alkaline hot brine formed by the combination of the infiltration lake water and mantle-derived magmatic water,consisting of many ions,including Ca2+,Mg2+and Fe2+.Under the driving flow power of magmatic heat,gravity and compaction,the hydrothermal fluid overcame the overburden pressure and hydrostatic pressure of the lake water body,and boiled to explosion,and then the explosion shattered the original laminated micritic ferruginous primary dolostone near the vent and then formed a new type of dolostone called shattered'hydroexplosion breccias'.In the low-lying,unperturbed hot brine pool,far from the vent,the laminated micritic ferruginous primary dolostone was quickly crystallized and chemicals precipitated from the hydrotherm.This study of special rocks contributes to research into the causes of the formation of lacustrine carbonate rocks and dolostone.In particular,it provides new examples and research insights for future studies of the lacustrine dolomite from the similar Mesozoic and Cenozoic basins in China.WEN HuaGuo ZHENG RongCai QING HaiRuo FAN MingTao LI YanAn GONG BoShi 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,12:12
4Comprehensive evaluation of nutritional status before and after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation in 170 patients with hematological diseases显示文摘Objective: To investigate the nutritional status of patients before and after hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT), and explore optimal methods for assessing nutritional status in patients with hematological diseases.Methods: This cohort study enrolled 170 patients who were diagnosed with hematological diseases and underwent allogeneic HSCT in the Department of Hematology, Peking University People's Hospital between May2011 and April 2013. We used fixed-point continuous sampling and four nutritional screening tools, Nutritional Risk Screening 2002(NRS-2002), Mini Nutritional Assessment(MNA), Subjective Global Assessment(SGA) and Malnutrition Universal Screening Tools(MUST), in combination with body measurements, to extensively screen and evaluate nutritional risks and status in patients receiving HSCT before entering and after leaving laminar air flow rooms.Results: After HSCT, patients had significant reduction in weight, hip circumference, waist-hip ratio, calf circumference, mid-upper arm circumference, and suprailiac skinfold thickness compared with pre-HSCT measurements. Before HSCT, NRS-2002 identified that 21.2% of patients were at nutritional risks, compared with100% after HSCT. MUST indicated that before HSCT, 11.77% of patients were at high nutritional risk,compared with 59.63% after HSCT. MNA assessed that 0.06% of patients were malnourished before HSCT,compared with 19.27% after HSCT. SGA identified that before HSCT, 1.76% of patients had mild to severe malnutrition, which increased to 83.3% after HSCT. There is a significant increase in the nutritional risk and malnutrition in patients who received HSCT.Conclusions: Before HSCT, some patients already had nutritional risk or nutritional deficiencies, and prompt and close nutritional screening or assessment should be performed. The nutritional status of patients after HSCT was generally deteriorated compared with that before transplantation. Body measurements should be taken more frequently during the subsequent treatment window in the laminar air flow rooms. 6Optimal transmission switching to eliminate voltage violations during light-load periods using decomposition approach显示文摘With the rapid load increase in some countries such as China, power grids are becoming more strongly interconnected, and the differences between peak and valley loads are also increasing. As a result, some bulk power systems are facing high voltage limit violations during light-load periods. This paper proposes to utilize transmission switching(TS) to eliminate voltage violations. The TS problem is formed as a mixed-integer nonlinear program(MINLP) with AC power flow constraints and binary variables. The proposed MINLP problem is non-deterministic polynomial hard.To efficiently solve the problem, a decomposition approach is developed. This approach decomposes the original problem into a mixedinteger linear programming master problem and an AC optimal power flow slave problem that is used to check the AC feasibility. 8Novel approach to harmonic control for Class F power amplifier with high power added efficiency显示文摘This paper presents a new topology to implement Class F power amplifier for eliminating the on-resistance (R_(ON))effect.The time-domain and frequency-domain voltage and current waveforms for Class F amplifier are ana- lyzed using Fourier series analysis method.Considering the on-resistance effect,the formulas of the efficiency,output power,dc power dissipation,and fundamental load impedance are given from ideal current and voltage waveforms.For experimental verification,we designed and implemented a Class F power amplifier,which operates at 850 MHz using MGaAs/GaAs Heterostructure FET(HFET)device,and analyzed the measurement results.Test results show that the maximum PAE of 67% can be achieved at 28 dBm output power level.Jin Boshi Wu Qun Yang Guohui Kim Bumman 2007仪器仪表学报2007,28,7:1

163D printing of conch-like scaffolds for guiding cell migration and directional bone growth显示文摘Regeneration of severe bone defects remains an enormous challenge in clinic.Developing regenerative scaffolds to directionally guide bone growth is a potential strategy to overcome this hurdle.Conch,an interesting creature widely spreading in ocean,has tough spiral shell that can continuously grow along the spiral direction.Herein,inspired by the physiological features of conches,a conch-like(CL)scaffold based onβ-TCP bioceramic material was successfully prepared for guiding directional bone growth via digital light processing(DLP)-based 3D printing.Benefiting from the spiral structure,the CL scaffolds significantly improved cell adhesion,proliferation and osteogenic differentiation in vitro compared to the conventional 3D scaffolds.Particularly,the spiral structure in the scaffolds could efficiently induce cells to migrate from the bottom to the top of the scaffolds,which was like“cells climbing stairs”.Furthermore,the capability of guiding directional bone growth for the CL scaffolds was demonstrated by a special half-embedded femoral defects model in rabbits.The new bone tissue could consecutively grow into the protruded part of the scaffolds along the spiral cavities.This work provides a promising strategy to construct biomimetic biomaterials for guiding directional bone tissue growth,which offers a new treatment concept for severe bone defects,and even limb regeneration.Boshi Feng Meng Zhang Chen Qin Dong Zhai Yufeng Wang Yanling Zhou Jiang Chang Yufang Zhu Chengtie Wu 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,4:1
