| 1 | Wind power prediction based on variational mode decomposition multi-frequency combinations显示文摘Because of the uncertainty and randomness of wind speed, wind power has characteristics such as nonlinearity and multiple frequencies. Accurate prediction of wind power is one effective means of improving wind power integration. Because the traditional single model cannot fully characterize the fluctuating characteristics of wind power, scholars have attempted to build other prediction models based on empirical mode decomposition(EMD) or ensemble empirical mode decomposition(EEMD) to tackle this problem. However, the prediction accuracy of these models is affected by modal aliasing and illusive components. Aimed at these defects, this paper proposes a multi-frequency combination prediction model based on variational mode decomposition(VMD). We use a back propagation neural network(BPNN),autoregressive moving average(ARMA)model, and least square support vector machine(LS-SVM) to predict high, intermediate,and low frequency components,respectively. Based on the predicted values of each component, the BPNN is applied to combine them into a final wind power prediction value.Finally,the prediction performance of the single prediction models(ARMA,BPNN and LS-SVM)and the decomposition prediction models(EMD and EEMD) are used to compare with the proposed VMD model according to the evaluation indices such as average absolute error, mean square error,and root mean square error to validate its feasibility and accuracy. | 2 | Effects of Chip Geometries on Dielectrophoresis and Electrorotation Investigation显示文摘The electric fields employed for such work are generated using chips,such as planar linear interdigitated arrays or two parallel arrays.However,chip geometries usually affect the investigation of dielectrophoresis(DEP)and electrorotation(ER)significantly,and even may misdirect the theoretical prediction.In order to understand the electrodes geometries effect and provide a suitable range of parameters,three-dimensional simulations for the DEP and ER characterizations on the quadrupolar hyperbolical electrodes are carried out.Influences of the electrodes gaps,cell height,work region,energized voltage and frequencies for the DEP and ER manipulations are analyzed,and the analysis results show that the gaps of the electrodes and the cell height have enormous effects,but the work region is not so important.Moreover,depending on the theoretical analysis,ER experiments for polystyrene microspheres with the diameter of 20 m are carried out on two kinds of chips.The experimental results show that the microspheres rotate in the counter-field direction and the maximum rotation speed appears in the megahertz range.In addition,the experimental results are compared with the simulation results,showing that the three-dimensional simulations considering the chip geometries are more accurate than the two-dimensional predictions.This paper provides a new understanding for the theoretical predictions of DEP and ER manipulations,which decreases the difference of the theoretical and experimental results significantly,and will be significant for the lab chip research. | REN Yukun WU Hongchi FENG Guojing HOU Likai JIANG Hongyuan | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,1: | 4 |
| 3 | Simultaneously Improving Mechanical Properties and Stress Corrosion Cracking Resistance of High-Strength Low-Alloy Steel via Finish Rolling within Non-recrystallization Temperature显示文摘The effect of hot rolling process on microstructure evolution,mechanical properties and stress corrosion cracking(SCC)resistance of high-strength low-alloy(HSLA)steels was investigated by varying the finish rolling temperature(FRT)and total rolling reduction.The results revealed granular bainite with large equiaxed grains was obtained by a total rolling reduction of60%with the FRT of 950℃(within recrystallization temperature T_(r)).The larger grain size and much less grain boundaries should account for the relatively lower strength and SCC resistance.A larger rolling reduction of 80% under the same FRT resulted in the formation of massive martensite-austenite(M/A)constituents and resultant low ductility and SCC resistance.In contrast,a good combination of strength,ductility and SCC resistance was obtained via 80% rolling reduction with the FRT of 860℃(within non-recrystallization temperature T_(nr)),probably because of the fine grain size and M/A constituents,as well as a high density of grain boundary network. | Hongchi Ma Baijie Zhao Yi Fan Kui Xiao Jinbin Zhao Xuequn Cheng Xiaogang Li | 2021 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2021,34,4: | 4 |
| 4 | Optimisation design and verification of the acoustic environment for multimedia classrooms in universities based on simulation显示文摘The acoustic environment of the classroom is one of the most important factors influencing the teaching and learning effects of the teacher and students.It is critical to ensure good speech intelligibility in classrooms.However,due to some factors,it may not be easy to achieve an ideal classroom acoustic environment,especially in large-scale multimedia classrooms.In a real renovation project of 39 multimedia classrooms in a university,seven typical rooms were selected,and the acoustic environment optimisation design and verification for these multimedia classrooms were performed based on simulation.First,the acoustic and sound reinforcement design schemes were determined based on the room acoustics software ODEON.Next,the effects of the optimisation design were analysed,and the simulated and measured results were compared;the accuracy of using the reduced sound absorption coefficients,which were determined empirically,was also examined.Finally,the recommended reverberation times(RTs)in multimedia classrooms corresponding to speech intelligibility were discussed,the effectiveness of the speech transmission index(STI)as a primary parameter for classroom acoustic environment control was considered,and the acoustic environment under the unoccupied and occupied statuses was compared.The results revealed that although there are many factors influencing the effect of classroom acoustic environment control,an adequate result can be expected on applying the appropriate method.Considering both the acoustic design and visual requirements also makes the classroom likely to have a good visual effect in addition to having a good listening environment. | Peisheng Zhu Wanqi Tao Xiaodong Lu Fangshuo Mo Fei Guo Hongchi Zhang | 2022 | Building Simulation2022,15,8: | 3 |

| 6 | Emergency strategies and trends in the management of liver trauma显示文摘The liver is the most frequently injured organ during abdominal trauma.The management of hepatic trauma has undergone a paradigm shift over the past several decades,with mandatory operation giving way to nonoperative treatment.Better understanding of the mechanisms and grade of liver injury aids in the initial assessment and establishment of a management strategy.Hemodynamically unstable patients should undergo focused abdominal sonography for trauma,whereas stable patients may undergo computed tomography,the standard examination protocol.The grade of liver injury alone does not accurately predict the need for operation,and nonoperative management is rapidly becoming popular for high-grade injuries.Hemodynamic instability with positive focused abdominal sonography for trauma and peritonitis is an indicator of the need for emergent operative intervention.The damage control concept is appropriate for the treatment of major liver injuries and is associated with significant survival advantages compared with traditional prolonged surgical techniques.Although surgical intervention for hepatic trauma is not as common now as it was in the past,current trauma surgeons should be familiar with the emergency surgical skills necessary to manage complex hepatic injuries,such as packing,Pringle maneuver,selective vessel ligation,resectional debridement,and parenchymal sutures.The present review presents emergency strategies and trends in the management of liver trauma. | Hongchi Jiang Jizhou Wang | 2012 | Frontiers of Medicine2012,6,3: | 2 |

| 12 | Science with the 2.5-meter Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST)显示文摘The Wide Field Survey Telescope(WFST) is a dedicated photometric surveying facility being built jointly by University of Science and Technology of China(USTC) and the Purple Mountain Observatory(PMO). It is equipped with a 2.5-meter diameter primary mirror, an active optics system, and a mosaic CCD camera with 0.73 gigapixels on the primary focal plane for highquality image capture over a 6.5-square-degree field of view. The installation of WFST near the summit of Saishiteng mountain in the Lenghu region is scheduled in summer of 2023, and the operation is planned to start three months later. WFST will scan the northern sky in four optical bands(u, g, r and i) at cadences from hourly/daily in the deep high-cadence survey(DHS) program, to semi-weekly in the wide field survey(WFS) program. During a photometric night, a nominal 30 s exposure in the WFS program will reach a depth of 22.27, 23.32, 22.84, and 22.31(AB magnitudes) in these four bands, respectively, allowing for the detection of a tremendous amount of transients in the low-z universe and a systematic investigation of the variability of Galactic and extragalactic objects. In the DHS program, intranight 90 s exposures as deep as 23(u) and 24 mag(g), in combination with target of opportunity follow-ups, will provide a unique opportunity to explore energetic transients in demand for high sensitivities, including the electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational wave events, supernovae within a few hours of their explosions,tidal disruption events and fast, luminous optical transients even beyond redshift of unity. In addition, the final 6-year co-added images, anticipated to reach g■25.8 mag in WFS or 1.5 mags deeper in DHS, will be of fundamental importance to general Galactic and extragalactic science. The highly uniform legacy surveys of WFST will serve as an indispensable complement to those of the Vera C.
