1Reactive capillary hemangiomas: a novel dermatologic toxicity following anti-PD-1 treatment with SHR-1210显示文摘Objective: SHR-1210 is a new and promising anti-PD-1 agent for solid tumors. During the phase I study of SHR-1210, we encountered a novel but prevalent immune-related dermatologic toxicity: reactive capillary hemangiomas(RCHs). Thus we tried to summarize the features of RCHs and estimate their relationship with tumor response.Methods: This prospective observational study systematically enrolled 98 patients with advanced solid tumors from April 27th,2016 to June 8th, 2017 in the context of the phase I clinical study of SHR-1210. This report focused on the skin toxicities. Patients underwent entire skin inspection every two weeks while taking medication. The clinical course of RCHs was recorded and their association with tumor response was estimated. The data cut-off date was November 15th, 2017.Results: After a median follow-up of 242(range, 29–567) days, RCHs were observed in 85.7%(84/98) of patients on cutaneous/mucosal surfaces; 84.5%(71/84) of the RCHs were evaluated as grade 1 adverse events. No grade 3 or 4 RCHs were observed. The time of onset of RCHs was dose dependent and shortest in the 400 mg-dose cohort(P < 0.001). Spontaneous and complete regression of RCHs was observed both during and after treatment. The objective response rate of tumors for patients with RCHs was 28.9%(24/83). However, no responders were observed among the patients without RCHs.Conclusions: RCHs were prevalent but manageable during treatment with SHR-1210. 2Chinese deserts and sand fields in Last Glacial Maximum and Holocene Optimum显示文摘The Last Glacial Maximum (LGM, c. 26-16 ka) and the Holocene Optimum (HO, c. 9-5 ka) were characterized by cold-dry and warm-wet climates respectively in the recently geological Earth. How Chinese deserts and sand fields responded to these distinctive climatic changes is still not clear, however. To reconstruct environments of the deserts and sand fields during the LGM and HO is helpful to understand the forcing mechanisms of environment change in this arid region, and to test paleoclimatic modeling results. Through our long-term field and laboratory investigations, 400 optically stimulated luminescence (OSL) ages and more than 100 depositional records in the Chinese deserts and sand fields were obtained; on the basis of these data, we reconstruct spatial distributions of the deserts and sand fields during the LGM and HO. Our results show that the sand fields of Mu Us, Hunshandake, Horqin and Hulun Buir in northern and northeastern China had expanded 25%, 37%, 38% and 270%, respectively, during the LGM; the sand fields of Gonghe in the northeastern Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau had expanded 20%, and the deserts of Badain Jaran, Tengger in central northern China had expanded 39% and 29% separately during the LGM; the deserts of Taklimakan, Gurbantünggüt and Kumtag in northwestern China had expanded 10%-20% respectively, compared to their modern areas. On the other hand, all of the sand fields were nearly completely covered by vegetation during the HO; the deserts in northwestern and central northern China were reduced by around 5%-20% in area during this time. Lakes in this arid region were probably expanded during the HO but this conclusion needs more investigation. Compared with the geological distributions of deserts and sand fields, human activity has clearly changed (expanded) the area of active sand dunes at the present time. 4Tectonically deformed coal types and pore structures in Puhe and Shanchahe coal mines in western Guizhou显示文摘To evaluate the effect of tectonic deformation on coal reservoir properties, we provide an analysis of the types of tectonically deformed coal, macroand microscopic deformation and discuss pore structural characteristics and connectivity based on samples from the Puhe and Shanchahe coal mines. Our research shows that the tectonically deformed coal mostly includes cataclastic structural coal, mortar structural coal and schistose structural coal of a brittle deformation series. The major pore structures of different types of tectonically deformed coal are transitional pores and micropores. The pore volumes of macropores and visible fracture pores produced by structural deformations vary over a large range and increase with the intensity of tectonic deformation. Mesopores as connecting passages develop well in schistose structural coal. According to the shapes of intrusive mercury curves, tectonically deformed coal can be divided into parallel, open and occluded types. 6Ore-forming event and geodynamic setting of molybdenum deposit at Wenquan in Gansu Province,Western Qinling显示文摘The Wenquan molybdenum deposit is associated with a Triassic granite in this area.The Wenquan granite is enriched in LILE and LREE,poor in HFSE,and has significantly higher contents of alkali(K2O+Na2O) and Sr,Ba than those of the island arc volcanic rocks.These geochemical characteristics are similar to post-collisional granites in high K calc-alkaline series.Studies of major elements,trace elements,REEs and chronology of the Wenquan pluton show that,in the geodynamic transition stage of continent-continent convergence to extension,the partial melting of the enriched lithospheric mantle generated the basaltic magma and triggered the partial melting of the thickened lower crust which produceded the acidic magma,and the Wenquan pluton was formed by mixing of the two magmas.Molybdenite Re-Os isotopic dating gave Os model ages of 212.7±2.6 Ma to 215.1±2.6 Ma with a weighted mean of 214.1±1.1 Ma,and an Re-Os isochron age of 214.4±7.1 Ma.These ages are close to K-Ar ages(223 to 226 Ma) and a SHRIMP zircon U-Pb age(223±7 Ma) for the Wenquan granite within the error range,but relatively younger.This implies that the Mo mineralization occurred in a late stage of the magmatic intrusion,and the metallogenesis took place in the transition stage from syn-collision to post-collision in the tectonic setting of the Qinling Orogenic Belt(QOB) after continental collision be-tween the North China Block(NCB) and the South China Block(SCB).This process is also corre-sponding to the geological events of metamorphism and deformation in South Qinling,closure of the Mian-Lue oceanic basin,and exhumation of the Dabie-Sulu ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic rocks.The large-scale continent-continent collision between NCB and SCB in the middle Triassic triggered sig-nificant crustal thickening and exhumation of subducted slab.In the late Triassic,the tectonic setting was transformed to the transition stage from collision to extension.Materials from the asthenospheric mantle would ascend into the root of the lower crust,which could induce partial melting of the lower crust and generate Mo-enriched granitic magma.The ore-forming elements enriched in the fluid derived from the condensation and fraction of the magma resulted in the Mo mineralization.The Mo deposits in the QOB are mainly formed in two episodes,namely 220± Ma and 140± Ma.The two episodes of metal-logenesis were developed in the tectonic transition settings from compression to extension,but they were in the different stages of the tectonic evolution.The occurrence of the Wenquan Mo-bearing plu-ton indicates that the Triassic tectonic-magmatic belt of Western Qinling is another favorable region for Mo mineralization in the QOB.Therefore,it is significant to pay more attention to evaluation of the ore-forming potentiality in the Triassic granites in Western Qinling.ZHU LaiMin DING ZhenJu YAO ShuZhen ZHANG GuoWei SONG ShiGang QU WenJun GUO Bo LEE Ben 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,13:12
7Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 8The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 9Structural feature and its significance of the northernmost segment of the Tertiary Biluoxueshan-Chongshan shear zone,east of the Eastern Himalayan Syntaxis显示文摘Here we describe ductile,ductile-brittle and brittle deformation styles in the northern segment of the Tertiary Biluoxue-shan-Chongshan shear zone lying to the east of the Eastern Himalayan Syntaxis.In the northernmost part of the zone in the vicinity of the Eastern Himalayan Syntaxis,it consists of mylonitic gneiss,granite,and schist.Based on field relations andmineral assemblages,the rocks are classified into gneiss belt in the west limb,including banded gneiss,augen mylonite and migmatite gneiss,and schist belt in the east limb.Except for the massive granite pluton,the other three tectonites are affected by polystage deformation (D1-D4).Fold deformation of the first stage D1 is isoclinal to tight pattern with nearly N-S fold axes and steeply axial planar cleavage S1,which resulted in the local crustal thickening under a contractive setting.D2 overprinted D1 and is characterized by tight folds with steep axes and N-S fold axial planar,which are also characterized by large-scale ductile strike-slip shear foliation S2,parallel to the nearly N-S trending axial planes of D1 and D2.The structural pattern of D2 represents a transpression along the zone.D3 occurred during the late stage of the transpression or post-transpression,produc-ing the NW-SE and NE-SW trending strike-slip faults of the third stage D3.Following the D3 deformation,the zone was ex-humed to shallow crustal level where the various tectonites underwent a brittle transtensional deformation D4,combined with one N-S trending strike-slip component and one normal faulting component.Structures and previous geochronologies presented in the paper suggest that the study area is correlated with those in the adjacent tectonic zones,Ailaoshan-Red River shear zone and Gaoligong shear zone in the western Yunnan.It underwent intensive polyphase deformation,namely,crustal thickening,transpression,and transtension,responding to syn-collision and post-collision of India-Eurasia from 65 Ma to current period east of the Eastern Himalayan Syntaxis.ZHANG Bo ZHANG JinJiang ZHONG DaLai WANG XiaoXian QU JunFeng GUO Lei 2011Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,7:11
10Monitoring early responses to irradiation with dual-tracer micro-PET in dual-tumor bearing mice显示文摘AIM: To monitor the early responses to irradiation in primary and metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC) with 18 Ffluorothymidine ( 18 F-FLT) and 18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose ( 18 F-FDG) small-animal position emission tomography (micro-PET). METHODS: The primary and metastatic CRC cell lines, SW480 and SW620, were irradiated with 5, 10 and 20, l l l , Gy. After 24 h, the cell cycle phases were analyzed. A dual-tumor-bearing mouse model of primary and metastatic cancer was established by injecting SW480 and SW620 cells into mice. micro-PET with 18 F-FLT and 18 F-FDG was performed before and 24 h after irradiation with 5, 10 and 20 Gy. The region of interest (ROI) was drawn over the tumor and background to calculate the ratio of tumor to non-tumor (T/NT) in tissues. Immunohistochemical assay and Western blotting were used to examine the levels of integrin β3, Ki-67, vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2 (VEGFR2) and heat shock protein 27 (HSP27). RESULTS: The proportion of SW480 and SW620 cells in the G 2 -M phase was decreased with an increasing radiation dose. The proportion of SW480 cells in the G 0 -G 1 phase was increased from 48.33% ± 4.55% to 87.09% ± 7.43% (P < 0.001) and that of SW620 cells in the S-phase was elevated from 43.57% ± 2.65% to 66.59% ± 7.37% (P = 0.021). In micro-PET study, with increasing dose of radiation, 18 F-FLT uptake was significantly reduced from 3.65 ± 0.51 to 2.87 ± 0.47 (P = 0.008) in SW480 tumors and from 2.22 ± 0.42 to 1.76 ± 0.45 (P = 0.026) in SW620 tumors. 18 F-FDG uptake in SW480 and SW620 tumors was reduced but not significantly (F = 0.582, P = 0.633 vs F = 0.273, P = 0.845). Dose of radiation was negatively correlated with 18 F-FLT uptake in both SW480 and SW620 tumors (r = -0.727, P = 0.004; and r = -0.664, P = 0.009). No significant correlation was found between 18 F-FDG uptake and radiation dose in SW480 or SW620 tumors. HSP27 and integrin β3 expression was higher in SW480 than in SW620 tumors. The T/NT ratio for 18 F-FLT uptake was positively correlated with HSP27 and integrin β3 expression (r = 0.924, P = 0.004; and r = 0.813, P = 0.025). 11A 2-kb Mycovirus Converts a Pathogenic Fungus into a Beneficial Endophyte for Brassica Protection and Yield Enhancement显示文摘Mycoviruses are viruses that infect fungi,and hypovirulence-associated mycoviruses have the potential to control fungal diseases.However,it is unclear how mycovirus-mediated hypovirulent strains live and survive in the field,and no mycovirus has been applied for field crop protection.In this study,we found that a previously identified small DNA mycovirus(SsHADV-1)can convert its host,Sclerotinia sclerotiorum,from a typical necrotrophic pathogen to a beneficial endophytic fungus.SsHADV-1 downregulates the expression of key pathogenicity factor genes in S.sclerotiorum during infection.When growing in rapeseed,the SsHADV-1-infected strain DT-8 significantly regulates the expression of rapeseed genes involved in defense,hormone signaling,and circadian rhythm pathways.As a result,plant growth is promoted and disease resistance is enhanced.Field experiments showed that spraying DT-8 at the early flowering stage can reduce the disease severity of rapeseed stem rot by 67.6%and improve yield by 14.9%.Moreover,we discovered that SsHADV-1 could also infect other S.sclerotiorum strains on DT-8-inoculated plants and that DT-8 could be recovered from dead plants.These findings suggest that the mycoviruses may have the ability to shape the origin of endophytism.Our discoveries suggest that mycoviruses may influence the origin of endophytism and may also offer a novel strategy for disease control in which mycovirus-infected strains are used to improve crop health and release mycoviruses into the field.Hongxiang Zhang Jiatao Xie Yanping Fu Jiasen Cheng Zheng Qu Zhenzhen Zhao Shufen Cheng Tao Chen Bo Li Qianqian Wang Xinqiang Liu Binnian Tian David B.Collinge Daohong Jiang 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,10:9
12SIZ1-Mediated SUMOylation of TPR1 Suppresses Plant Immunity in Arabidopsis显示文摘Plant immune responses are tightly regulated to ensure their appropriate deployment. Overexpression of TOPLESS-RELATED 1 (TPR1), a SUPPRESSOR OF npr1-1, CONSTITUTIVE 1 (SNC1)-interacting protein, results in autoimmunity that reduces plant growth and development. However, how TPR1 activity is regulated remains unknown. Loss of function of SIZ1, a (SUMO) E3 ligase, induces an autoimmune response, partially due to elevated SNC1 levels. Here we show that SNC1 expression is upregulated in Arabidopsis thaliana siz1-2 due to positive-feedback regulation by salicylic acid. SIZ1 physically interacts with TPR1 and facilitates its SUMO modification. The K282 and K721 residues in TPR1 serve as critical SUMO attachment sites. Simultaneous introduction of K282R and K721R substitutions in TPR1 blocked its SUMOylation, enhaneed its transcriptional co-repressor activity, and increased its association with HISTONE DEACETYLASE 19 (HDA19), suggesting that SUMOylation of TPR1 represses its transcriptional co-repressor activity and inhibits its interaction with HDA19. In agreement with this finding, the simultaneous introduction of K282R and K721R substitutions enhanced TPR1 mediated immunity, and the tpr1 mutation partially suppressed autoimmunity in siz1-2. 13Biodegradable Zn-Sr alloy for bone regeneration in rat femoral condyle defect model: In vitro and in vivo studies显示文摘Bone defects are commonly caused by severe trauma,malignant tumors,or congenital diseases and remain among the toughest clinical problems faced by orthopedic surgeons,especially when of critical size.Biodegradable zinc-based metals have recently gained popularity for their desirable biocompatibility,suitable degradation rate,and favorable osteogenesis-promoting properties.The biphasic activity of Sr promotes osteogenesis and inhibits osteoclastogenesis,which imparts Zn-Sr alloys with the ideal theoretical osteogenic properties.Herein,a biodegradable Zn-Sr binary alloy system was fabricated.The cytocompatibility and osteogenesis of the Zn-Sr alloys were significantly better than those of pure Zn in MC3T3-E1 cells.RNA-sequencing illustrated that the Zn-0.8Sr alloy promoted osteogenesis by activating the wnt/β-catenin,PI3K/Akt,and MAPK/Erk signaling pathways.Furthermore,rat femoral condyle defects were repaired using Zn-0.8Sr alloy scaffolds,with pure Ti as a control.The scaffold-bone integration and bone ingrowth confirmed the favorable in vivo repair properties of the Zn-Sr alloy,which was verified to offer satisfactory biosafety based on the hematoxylin-eosin(H&E)staining and ion concentration testing of important organs.The Zn-0.8Sr alloy was identified as an ideal bone repair material candidate,especially for application in critical-sized defects on load-bearing sites due to its favorable biocompatibility and osteogenic properties in vitro and in vivo.Bo Jia Hongtao Yang Zechuan Zhang Xinhua Qu Xiufeng Jia Qiang Wu Yu Han Yufeng Zheng Kerong Dai 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,6:9

18Controls on migration and aggregation for tectonically sensitive elements in tectonically deformed coal:An example from the Haizi mine, Huaibei coalfield, China显示文摘Tectonically deformed coal(TDC)develops because of the superimposed deformation and metamorphism of a coal seam by tectonic movements.The migration and accumulation of trace elements in TDC is largely in response to stress-strain conditions.To develop a law governing the migration and aggregation of sensitive elements and investigate the geological controls on TDC,coal samples from different deformation sequences were collected from the Haizi mine,in the Huaibei coalfield in Anhui Province,China,and the concentrations of 49 elements were determined by XRF and ICP-MS,and then microscopically analyzed.The results show that the distribution and morphology of minerals in coal is related to the deformation degree of TDC.The evolutionary process runs from orderly distribution of minerals in a weak brittle deformed coal to disordered distributions in ductile deformed coal.According to the elemental distribution characteristics in TDC,four types of element migration can be identified:stable,aggregate,declining,and undulate types,which are closely related to the deformation degree of TDC.Present data indicate that the overall distribution of rare earth elements(REE)does not change with metamorphism and deformation,but it shows obvious dynamic differentiation phenomena along with the deformation of TDC.Tectonic action after coal-formation,brittle or ductile deformation,and the metamorphic mechanism and its accompanying dynamic thermal effects are the main factors that influence the redistribution of elements in TDC.We conclude that tectonic movements provide the motivation and basis for the redistribution of elements and the paths and modes of element migration are controlled by brittle and ductile deformation metamorphic processes.The dynamic thermal effect has the most significant effect on coal metamorphism and tectonic-stress-accelerated element migration and accumulation.These factors then induce the tectonic-dynamic differentiation phenomenon of element migration.LI YunBo JIANG Bo QU ZhengHui 2014Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,6:7
19Economic optimization on two time scales for a hybrid energy system based on virtual storage显示文摘This paper proposes an economic optimization method with two time scales for a hybrid energy system based on the virtual storage characteristic of a thermostatically controlled load(TCL). The optimization process includes two time scales in order to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Based on the forecast load and energy supply of the system, the first time scale is day-ahead economic operating optimization, carried out to determine the minimum operating cost for the whole day, and to find the period of greatest cost to which the second time scale optimization is applied. Using the virtual storage characteristic, the second time scale is short-term detailed optimization carried out for these particular hours. By dispatching thermal load in this period and adjusting energy supply accordingly, we can find the optimal economic performance, and customer requests are taken into account to ensure satisfaction. 20Formation and distribution of disinfection by-products during chlorine disinfection in the presence of bromide ion显示文摘The influences of contact time and pH value on the formation and distribution of four species of trihalomethanes and five species of haloacetic acids during chlorination in the presence of bromine were investigated. Results showed that the distribution of molar fraction of trihalomethanes varied with contact time due to the change of bromide ion concentration during chlorination. Most of the trihalomethanes comprising bromine-containing species and the favored products of the haloacetic acids were chlorine-containing species after 24 h of chlorination. The extent of bromine incorporation in trihalomethanes and haloacetic acids both decreased with time. The contact time also had influence on the formation rate of different species of haloacetic acids. The formation and distribution of trihalomethanes and haloacetic acids strongly depended on the chlorination pH value. All of the trihalomethanes species formation increased with the increase of pH value except the bromoform that had not been detected. The molar fraction of bromodichloromethane and dibromochloromethane containing bromine increased with pH value while chloroform without bromine decreased.
