| 3 | Iterative Bayesian Monte Carlo for nuclear data evaluation显示文摘In this work,we explore the use of an iterative Bayesian Monte Carlo(iBMC)method for nuclear data evaluation within a TALYS Evaluated Nuclear Data Library(TENDL)framework.The goal is to probe the model and parameter space of the TALYS code system to find the optimal model and parameter sets that reproduces selected experimental data.The method involves the simultaneous variation of many nuclear reaction models as well as their parameters included in the TALYS code.The‘best’model set with its parameter set was obtained by comparing model calculations with selected experimental data.Three experimental data types were used:(1)reaction cross sections,(2)residual production cross sections,and(3)the elastic angular distributions.To improve our fit to experimental data,we update our‘best’parameter set—the file that maximizes the likelihood function—in an iterative fashion.Convergence was determined by monitoring the evolution of the maximum likelihood estimate(MLE)values and was considered reached when the relative change in the MLE for the last two iterations was within 5%.Once the final‘best’file is identified,we infer parameter uncertainties and covariance information to this file by varying model parameters around this file.In this way,we ensured that the parameter distributions are centered on our evaluation.The proposed method was applied to the evaluation of p+^(59)Co between 1 and 100 MeV.Finally,the adjusted files were compared with experimental data from the EXFOR database as well as with evaluations from the TENDL-2019,JENDL/He-2007 and JENDL-4.0/HE nuclear data libraries. | Erwin Alhassan Dimitri Rochman Alexander Vasiliev Mathieu Hursin Arjan JKoning Hakim Ferroukhi | 2022 | Nuclear Science and Techniques2022,33,4: | 3 |
| 4 | Highly efficient fluoride removal from water using 2D metal-organic frameworks MIL-53(Al)with rich Al and O adsorptive centers显示文摘In this study,metal-organic framework MIL-53(Al)was synthesized and studied to understand the different mechanisms between normal MIL-53(Al)and 2D metal-organic framework MIL-53(Al)for removing fluoride.Comparatively,the 2D MIL-53(Al)had two-dimensional linear morphology rather than block shape,indicating more expose adsorptive sites than normal MIL-53(Al).The batch adsorption experiments were applied to investigate the performance of 2D MIL-53(Al),including pH,adsorption kinetics,and thermodynamics.The 2D MIL-53(Al)(75.50 mg/g)showed better adsorption capacity than normal MIL-53(Al)(35.63 mg/g).The adsorption process of 2D MIL-53(Al)followed the pseudo-firstorder model and Langmuir model.The adsorption mechanism of this material was further studied by using experimental characterization and density functional theory calculations in detail.The main adsorptive sites were Al and O in the 2D MIL-53(Al),and the relationship between fluoride binding with Al and O was HF^(-)_(2)>HF>F^(-).The species of fluoride were HF2,HF,F at different pH and concentrations.Hence,this study provides a significant way on the application of two-dimensional materials for removing fluoride. | Lei Huang Zhihui Yang Sikpaam Issaka Alhassan Zhixuan Luo Baocheng Song Linfeng Jin Yixian Zhao Haiying Wang | 2021 | Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2021,,4: | 3 |

| 18 | Integration for coexistence? Implementation of intercultural health care policy in Ghana from the perspective of service users and providers显示文摘OBJECTIVE: In spite of the World Health Organization's recommendations over the past decades,Ghana features pluralistic rather than truly integrated medical system. Policies about the integration of complementary medicine into the national health care delivery system need to account for individuallevel involvement and cultural acceptability of care rendered by health care providers. Studies in Ghana,however, have glossed over the standpoint of the persons of the illness episode about the intercultural health care policy framework. This paper explores the health care users, and providers' experiences and attitudes towards the implementation of intercultural health care policy in Ghana.METHODS: In-depth interviews, augmented with informal conversations, were conducted with 16 health service users, 7 traditional healers and 6 health professionals in the Sekyere South District and Kumasi Metropolis in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Data were thematically analysed and presented based on the a posteriori inductive reduction approach.RESULTS: Findings reveal a widespread positive attitude to, and support for integrative medical care in Ghana. However, inter-provider communication in a form of cross-referrals and collaborative mechanisms between healers and health professionals seldom occurs and remains unofficially sanctioned. Traditional healers and health care professionals are skeptical about intercultural health care policy mainly due to inadequate political commitment for provider education. The medical practitioners have limited opportunity to undergo training for integrative medical practice. We also find a serious mistrust between the practitioners due to the 'diversity of healing approaches and techniques.' Weak institutional support,lack of training to meet standards of practice, poor registration and regulatory measures as well as negative perception of the integrative medical policy inhibit its implementation in Ghana.CONCLUSION: In order to advance any useful intercultural health care policy in Ghana, the government's total commitment in informed training and provider education,enforcement of regulatoryinstrument and improved community engagement is needed.
