1Diffraction-limited imaging with monolayer 2D material-based ultrathin flat lenses显示文摘Ultrathin flat optics allow control of light at the subwavelength scale that is unmatched by traditional refractive optics.To approach the atomically thin limit,the use of 2D materials is an attractive possibility due to their high refractive indices.However,achievement of diffraction-limited focusing and imaging is challenged by their thickness-limited spatial resolution and focusing efficiency.Here we report a universal method to transform 2D monolayers into ultrathin flat lenses.Femtosecond laser direct writing was applied to generate local scattering media inside a monolayer,which overcomes the longstanding challenge of obtaining sufficient phase or amplitude modulation in atomically thin 2D materials.We achieved highly efficient 3D focusing with subwavelength resolution and diffractionlimited imaging.The high focusing performance even allows diffraction-limited imaging at different focal positions with varying magnifications.Our work paves the way for downscaling of optical devices using 2D materials and reports an unprecedented approach for fabricating ultrathin imaging devices.Han Lin Zai-Quan Xu Guiyuan Cao Yupeng Zhang Jiadong Zhou Ziyu Wang Zhichen Wan Zheng Liu Kian Ping Loh Cheng-Wei Qiu Qiaoliang Bao Baohua Jia 2020Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1:9
2Durability of neutralizing antibodies and T-cell response post SARS-CoV-2 infection显示文摘The ongoing pandemic of coronavirus disease 19(COVID-19)is caused by a newly discoveredβcoronavirus named severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2).How long the adaptive immunity triggered by SARS-CoV-2 can last is of critical clinical relevance in assessing the probability of second infection and efficacy of vaccination.Here we examined,using ELISA,the IgG antibodies in serum specimens collected from 17 COVID-19 patients at 6–7 months after diagnosis and the results were compared to those from cases investigated 2 weeks to 2 months post-infection.All samples were positive for IgGs against the S-and N-proteins of SARS-CoV-2.Notably,14 samples available at 6–7 months post-infection all showed significant neutralizing activities in a pseudovirus assay,with no difference in blocking the cell-entry of the 614D and 614G variants of SARS-CoV-2.Furthermore,in 10 blood samples from cases at 6–7 months post-infection used for memory T-cell tests,we found that interferonγ-producing CD4+and CD8+cells were increased upon SARS-CoV-2 antigen stimulation.Together,these results indicate that durable anti-SARS-CoV-2 immunity is common in convalescent population,and vaccines developed from 614D variant may offer protection from the currently predominant 614D variant of SARS-CoV-2.Yun Tan Feng Liu Xiaoguang Xu Yun Ling Weijin Huang Zhaoqin Zhu Mingquan Guo Yixiao Lin Ziyu Fu Dongguo Liang Tengfei Zhang Jian Fan Miao Xu Hongzhou Lu Saijuan Chen 2020Frontiers of Medicine2020,14,6:6
3Anatomical variation of infra-pyloric artery origination: A prospective multicenter observational study (IPA-Origin)显示文摘Objective: Infra-pyloric artery(IPA) is an important anatomical landmark in treatment of gastric cancer and is the key vessel for pylorus-preserving gastrectomy and subgroup of infra-pyloric lymph nodes. However, its anatomical variation is not thoroughly understood. Our study aimed to clarify the origination of the IPA.Methods: We did this prospective, multicenter, open-label, observational study at gastric surgery departments of34 hospitals in China. Gastric cancer patients aged 18 years or older and scheduled to undergo elective total or distal gastrectomy were assigned. During the surgery, IPA dissecting and exposing the origination point with photographs or video clips were required. The primary outcome was the origination of the IPA. Analysis of variance, χ~2 tests and Fisher's tests were used to analyze the differences between groups. The study is registered at Clinicaltrials.gov(No. NCT03071237).Results: Between May 8 and July 31, 2017, 429 patients were assigned for the study, and 419(97.7%) patients had the IPA dissected and recorded through photograph or video and were included in the primary outcome analysis. The median age was 62 years old, and 73.7% were male. Among the patients, 78.5% received laparoscopic surgery. Single IPA origination was identified in 398(95.0%) patients, including gastroduodenal artery(GDA) in154(36.8%) patients, anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery(ASPDA) in 130(31.0%) patients, and right gastroepiploic artery(RGEA) in 114(27.2%) patients. Fifteen(3.6%) patients were identified with multiple IPA and 6(1.4%) patients were identified as IPA absence. The differences in the distribution of surgical approach(P=0.003) and geographic area(P=0.030) were statistically significant. 5Rapid growth and properties of large-aperture 98%-deuterated DKDP crystals显示文摘In this paper,a highly deuterated potassium dihydrogen phosphate(DKDP)crystal with sizes up to 318 mm×312 mm×265 mm was grown by the rapid-growth method.The synthesis tank device was specially designed to synthesize a higher deuterium concentration and high-purity DKDP solution.The deuterium content of the as-grown crystal,which was 97.9%,was determined by two methods,including infrared(IR)spectroscopy and thermo-gravimetric analysis(TGA)measurements.The performances of the 97.9%DKDP crystal,including transmission,absorption coefficient,and laserinduced damage threshold(LIDT)were measured.The results indicate that,in the near-infrared band,the transmission of the 97.9%DKDP crystal is higher than that of KDP and 70%DKDP crystals,and the absorption coefficient is lower.The LIDT of the crystal reached 23.2 J·cm^-2(R-on-1,1064 nm,3 ns),which meets the engineering requirements for use in optical applications.Xumin Cai Xiuqing Lin Guohui Li Junye Lu Ziyu Hu Guozong Zheng 2019High Power Laser Science and Engineering2019,7,3:4
6Porous cobalt oxide nanowires: Notable improved gas sensing performances显示文摘The porous Co3O4 nanowires have been successfully synthesized via modified template method. A possible growth mechanism governing the formation of such 1D nanowires is proposed. The as-prepared products have been characterized by X-ray Powder Diffraction (XRD), Extended X-ray Absorption Fine-structure (EXAFS), High-resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy (HRTEM) and N2 adsorption/desorption analysis. Our systematic studies have revealed that the porous Co3O4 nanowires show excellent gas sensing performances, which demonstrate the potential application of the 1D nanostructured Co3O4 in the detection of the ethanol gas as a sensor material. 7An Approach to Extracting Fractal in Remote Sensing Image显示文摘In order to apply the spatial structure information to remote sensing interpretation through fractal theory, an algorithm is introduced to compute the single pixel fractal dimension in remote sensing images. After a computer program was written according to the algorithm, the ETM+ images were calculated to obtain their fractal data through the program. The algorithm has following characteristics: The obtained fractal values indicate the complexity of image, and have positive correlation with the complexity of images and ground objects. 8Pressureless crystallization of glass toward scintillating composite with high crystallinity for radiation detection显示文摘The construction of scintillating ceramics is of great technological importance for various fundamental applications, including medical diagnostic, security inspection, resource exploration and particle physics. The chief challenge is the facile and scalable synthesis of scintillating ceramics with the desirable combination of pore-free, reliable mechanical properties and excellent scintillating performance. Here we present a pressureless glass crystallization strategy for the construction of scintillating composite with high crystallinity. The fabricated scintillating composites are featured by small optical turbidity, excellent mechanical properties, and efficient scintillating luminescence with the scintillating light yield of 15,000 pH/MeV and about 2.46 times higher than that of the commercial BGO single crystal. Moreover, the scintillating composite derived radiation detector device is successfully elaborated. The practical application for monitoring gamma ray is demonstrated and the precision of the device is less than that of the tolerable deviation of 30%. 10Overexpression of Sirt6 ameliorates sleep deprivation induced-cognitive impairment by modulating glutamatergic neuron function显示文摘Sleep benefits the restoration of energy metabolism and thereby suppo rts neuronal plasticity and cognitive behaviors.Sirt6 is a NAD+-dependent protein deacetylase that has been recognized as an essential regulator of energy metabolism because it modulates various transcriptional regulators and metabolic enzymes.The aim of this study was to investigate the influence of Sirt6 on cerebral function after chronic sleep deprivation(CSD).We assigned C57BL/6J mice to control or two CSD groups and subjected them to AAV2/9-CMV-EGFP or AAV2/9-CMV-Sirt6-EGFP infection in the prelimbic cortex(PrL).We then assessed cerebral functional connectivity(FC) using resting-state functional MRI,neuron/astrocyte metabolism using a metabolic kinetics analysis;dendritic spine densities using sparse-labeling;and miniature excitato ry postsynaptic currents(mEPSCs) and action potential(AP) firing rates using whole-cell patchclamp recordings.In addition,we evaluated cognition via a comprehensive set of behavioral tests.Compared with controls,Sirt6 was significantly decreased(P<0.05) in the PrL after CSD,accompanied by cognitive deficits and decreased FC between the PrL and accumbens nucleus,piriform cortex,motor co rtex,somatosensory co rtex,olfactory tubercle,insular cortex,and cerebellum.Sirt6 ove rexpression reve rsed CSD-induced cognitive impairment and reduced FC.Our analysis of metabolic kinetics using [1-13C] glucose and [2-13C] acetate showed that CSD reduced neuronal Glu4and GABA2synthesis,which could be fully restored via forced Sirt6 expression.Furthermore,Sirt6 ove rexpression reversed CSD-induced decreases in AP firing rates as well as the frequency and amplitude of mEPSCs in PrL pyramidal neurons.These data indicate that Sirt6 can improve cognitive impairment after CSD by regulating the PrL-associated FC network,neuronal glucose metabolism,and glutamatergic neurotransmission.Thus,Sirt6 activation may have potential as a novel strategy for treating sleep disorder-related diseases.Jinpiao Zhu Chang Chen Zhen Li Xiaodong Liu Jingang He Ziyue Zhao Mengying He Binbin Nie Zili Liu Yingying Chen Kuanpin Su Xiang Li Juxiang Chen Hongbing Xiang Fuqiang Xu Kangguang Lin Zongze Zhang Jie Wang 2023Neural Regeneration Research2023,18,11:1

12Test on dynamic characteristics of subgrade of heavy-haul railway in cold regions显示文摘Dynamic characteristics of heavy-haul railway subgrade under vibratory loading in cold regions are investigated via low-temperature dynamic triaxial tests with multi-stage cyclic loading process. The relationship between dynamic shear stress and dynamic shear strain of frozen soil of subgrade under train loading and the influence of freezing temperatures on dynamic constitutive relation, dynamic shear modulus and damping ratio are observed in this study. Test results show that the dynamic constitutive relations of the frozen soils with different freezing temperatures comply with the hyperbolic model, in which model parameters a and b decrease with increasing freezing temperature. The dynamic shear modulus of the frozen soils decreases with increasing dynamic shear strains initially, followed by a relatively smooth attenuation tendency, whereas increases with decreasing freezing temperatures. The damping ratios decrease with decreasing freezing temperatures. 173D Printing of Nacre-Inspired Structures with Exceptional Mechanical and Flame-Retardant Properties显示文摘Flame-retardant and thermal management structures have attracted great attention duc to the requirement of high-temperature exposure in industrial,aerospace,and thermal power fields,but the development of protoctive fire-retardant structures with complex shapes to fit arbitrary surfaces is still challenging.Herein,we reported a rotation-blade casting-assisted 3D printing process to fabricate nacre-inspired structures with exceptional mechanical and flame-retardant properties,and the relatedi fundamental mechanisms are studied.3-(Trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate(TMSPMA)modified boron nitride nanoplatelets(BNs)were aligned by rotation-blade casting during the 3D printing process to build the'hrick and mortar'architecture.The 3D printed structures are more lightweight,while having higher fracture toughness than the natural nacre,which is attributed to the crack deflection,aligned BN(a-BNs)bridging,and pull-outs reinforced structures by the covalent bonding between TMSPMA grafted a-BNs and polymer matrix.Thermal conductivity is enhanced by 25.5 times compared with pure polymer and 5.8 times of anisotropy due to the interconnection of a-BNs.3D printed heat-exchange structures with vertically aligned BNs in complex shapes were demonstrated for efficient thermal control of high-power light-emitting diocles.3D printed helmet and armor with a-BNs show exceptional mechanical and fire-retardant properties,demonstrating integrated mechanical and thermal protection.Yang Yang Ziyu Wang Qingqing He Xiangjia Li Gengxi Lu Laiming Jjiang Yushun Zeng Brandon Bethers Jie Jin Shuang Lin Siqi Xiao Yizhen Zhu Xianke Wu Wenwu Xu Qiming Wang Yong Chen 2022Research2022,,2:1
18Using hydrochemical signatures to characterize the long-period evolution of groundwater information in the Dagu River Basin,China显示文摘The evolution of hydrochemical compositions influenced by long-period interactions between groundwater and the geo-environment is a fundamental issue for exploring groundwater quality and vulnerability.This study systematically investigated the hydrochemical processes and anthropogenic interference occurring in the river basin by bivariate plots,Gibbs diagrams,saturation index,and the major ions ratios.Apparent changes in groundwater hydrochemistry have been observed in the study area,illustrating the origins of major ions are affected by various internal and external factors.Results highlighted that TDS varied from freshwater to brackish water,ranging between 187.90 and 2294.81 mg/L.Ca^(2+)and HCO_(3)^(−)are the dominant ions in the studied samples.The results gained by Gibbs diagrams,bivariate plots,saturation index,and the major ions ratios demonstrated that minerals dissolution/precipitation,cation exchange,and human inputs play crucial roles in the unconfined aquifers.Moreover,the overuse of nitrogen fertilizer,livestock manure,and industrial/domestic sewage led to nitrate and nitrite contamination and brought significant challenges to the surrounding hydrogeo-environment.The present study could make an unambiguous identification of natural processes and anthropogenic interventions influencing groundwater hydrochemistry’s long-period evolution and create a preliminary strategy for groundwater resources management.Ziyue Yin Qing Lin Shaohui Xu 2021Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,5:1
19A comparison on the pitch of statement of dialogue and read speech in Chinese Putonghua显示文摘Experimental evidence showed that declination exists in most sentences in Chinese Putonghua.However,the specific pitch variation of prosodic words(PWs) within sentences has not been fully understood.The dialogue material used in this study was taken from the 973 telephone conversation corpus,which includes 69 dialogues,with 79 speakers involved.The read speech material was recordings of news announcement by two announcers from radio, totally 221 sentences.Top and bottom points of pitch contour and the range of prosodic words with the sentences were studied.It was found that,for both dialogue and read speech,pitch declination exists for most sentences,with minor exceptions in the first part of longer sentences for dialogue.Compared to read speech,the pitch range of prosodic words for dialogue is smaller. 20Zigzag magnetic order in a novel tellurate compound Na_(4-δ)NiTeO_6 with S=1 chains显示文摘Na_(4-δ)Ni Te O_(6) is a rare example in the transition-metal tellurate family of realizing an S=1 spin-chain structure.By performing neutron powder diffraction measurements,the ground-state magnetic structure of Na_(4-δ)Ni Te O_(6) is determined.These measurements reveal that below T_N~6.8(2)K,the Ni^(2+) moments form a screwed ferromagnetic(FM)spin-chain structure running along the crystallographic a axis but these FM spin chains are coupled antiferromagnetically along the b and c directions,giving rise to a magnetic propagation vector of k=(0,1/2,1/2).This zigzag magnetic order is well supported by first-principles calculations.The moment size of Ni^(2+) spins is determined to be 2.1(1) μ_(B) at 3 K,suggesting a significant quenching of the orbital moment due to the crystalline electric field(CEF)effect.The previously reported metamagnetic transition near H_(c)~0.1 T can be understood as a field-induced spin-flip transition.The relatively easy tunability of the dimensionality of its magnetism by external parameters makes Na_(4-δ)Ni Te O_(6)a promising candidate for further exploring various types of novel spin-chain physics.Cheng Su Xu-Tao Zeng Yi Li Nvsen Ma Zhengwang Lin Chuandi Zhang Chin-Wei Wang Ziyu Chen Xingye Lu Wei Li Xian-Lei Sheng Wentao Jin 2022Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2022,65,9:0
