1A novel HfNbTaTiV high-entropy alloy of superior mechanical properties designed on the principle of maximum lattice distortion显示文摘This paper reports a synergistic design of high-performance BCC high-entropy alloy based on the combined consideration of the principles of intrinsic ductility of elements,maximum atomic size difference for solid solution strengthening and the valence electron concentration criterion for ductility.The single-phase BCC HfNbTaTiV alloy thus designed exhibited a high compressive yield strength of 1350 MPa and a high compressive ductility of>45%at the room temperature.This represents a 50%increase in yield strength relative to a HfNbTaTiZr alloy.This is attributed to the maximized solid solution strengthening effect caused by lattice distortion,which is estimated to be 1094 MPa.The alloy was also able to retain 53%of its yield strength and 77%of its ductility at 700℃.These properties are superior to those of most refractory BCC high-entropy alloys reported in the literature.Zibing An Shengcheng Mao Yinong Liu Li Wang Hao Zhou Bin Gan Ze Zhang Xiaodong Han 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,20:9
2Preparation,Properties and Application of C/C-SiC Composites Fabricated by Warm Compacted-in situ Reaction显示文摘Carbon fibre reinforced carbon and SiC dual matrices composites (C/C-SiC) show superior tribological properties,high thermal shock resistance and good abrasive resistance,and they are promising candidates for advanced brake and clutch systems.The microstructure,mechanical properties,friction and wear properties,and application of the C/C-SiC composites fabricated by warm compacted-in situ reaction were introduced.The results indicated that the composites were composed of 50-60 wt pct carbon,2-10 wt pct residual silicon and 30-40 wt pct silicon carbide.The C/C-SiC brake composites exhibited good mechanical properties.The value of flexural strength and compressive strength could reach 160 and 112 MPa,respectively.The impact strength was about 2.5 kJ·m-2.The C/C-SiC brake composites showed excellent tribological performance,including high coefficient of friction (0.38),good abrasive resistance (1.10 μm/cycle) and brake steadily on dry condition.The tribological properties on wet condition could be mostly maintained.The silicon carbide matrix in C/C-SiC brake composites improved the wear resistance,and the graphite played the lubrication function,and right volume content of graphite was helpful to forming friction film to reduce the wear rate.These results showed that C/C-SiC composites fabricated by warm compacted-in situ reaction had excellent properties for use as brake materials.Peng Xiao Zhuan Li Zibing Zhu Xiang Xiong 2010Journal of Materials Science & Technology2010,26,3:8
3Characterization of VOC emissions from construction machinery and river ships in the Pearl River Delta of China显示文摘Speciated characterization of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs),including oxygenated VOCs (OVOCs),from construction machinery and river ships in China is currently lacking.In this regard,we conducted field measurement on speciated VOC (including OVOC) emissions from six construction machinery and five river ships in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) region to identify VOC emission characteristics.We noticed that OVOC emissions from construction machinery and ships accounted for more than 50%of the total VOC emissions,followed by alkenes,aromatics and alkanes.Formaldehyde and acetaldehyde were the most emission species,accounting for 61.8%-83.2%of OVOCs.For construction machinery,the fuel-based emission factors of roller,grader and pile driver were 3.12,3.12 and 7.36 g/kg,respectively.With the rigorous restraint by the national emission standards,VOC emissions of construction machinery had decreased considerably,especially during stageⅢ.Ozone formation potential was also significantly reduced due to the significant decrease in emissions of OVOCs and alkenes with higher reactivity.For river ships,the fuel-based emission factors of cargo ships and speedboat were 1.46 and 0.44 g/kg,respectively.VOC emissions from construction machinery and river ships in Guangdong Province in 2017 were 8851.0 and 4361.0 ton,respectively.This study filled the knowledge gaps of reactive gas emissions from different kinds of non-road mobile sources over the PRD,and more importantly,highlighted the necessity in adding OVOC measurement to give a complete and accurate depiction of reactive gas emissions from non-road mobile sources.Richao Wang Zibing Yuan Junyu Zheng Cheng Li Zhijiong Huang Wenshi Li Yan Xie Yiran Wang Kaiyang Yu Lejun Duan 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,10:5
4Emission source-based ozone isopleth and isosurface diagrams and their significance in ozone pollution control strategies显示文摘In the past decade,ozone(O_(3))pollution has been continuously worsening in most developing countries.The accurate identification of the nonlinear relationship between O_(3) and its precursors is a prerequisite for formulating effective O_(3) control measures.At present,precursor-based O_(3) isopleth diagrams are widely used to infer O_(3) control strategy at a particular location.However,there is frequently a large gap between the O_(3)-precursor nonlinearity delineated by the O_(3) isopleths and the emission source control measures to reduce O_(3) levels.Consequently,we developed an emission source-based O_(3) isopleth diagram that directly illustrates the O_(3) level changes in response to synergistic control on two types of emission sources using a validated numerical modeling system and the latest regional emission inventory.Isopleths can be further upgraded to isosurfaces when co-control on three types of emission sources is investigated.Using Guangzhou and Foshan as examples,we demonstrate that similar precursor-based O_(3) isopleths can be associated with significantly different emission source co-control strategies.In Guangzhou,controlling solvent use emissions was the most effective approach to reduce peak O_(3) levels.In Foshan,co-control of on-road mobile,solvent use,and fixed combustion sources with a ratio of 3:1:2 or 3:1:3 was best to effectively reduce the peak O_(3) levels below 145 ppbv.This study underscores the importance of using emission source-based O_(3) isopleths and isosurface diagrams to guide a precursor emission control strategy that can effectively reduce the peak O_(3) levels in a particular area.Huihong Luo Kaihui Zhao Zibing Yuan Leifeng Yang Junyu Zheng Zhijiong Huang Xiaobo Huang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,7:3
5Hierarchical grain size and nanotwin gradient microstructure for improved mechanical properties of a non-equiatomic CoCrFeMnNi high-entropy alloy显示文摘This study explored a multi-mechanism approach to improving the mechanical properties of a Co CrFe Mn Ni high-entropy alloy through non-equiatomic alloy design and processing.The alloy design ensures a single-phase face-centered cubic structure while lowering the stacking fault energy to encourage the formation of deformation twins and stacking faults by altering the equiatomic composition of the alloy.The processing strategy applied helped create a hierarchical grain size gradient microstructure with a high nanotwins population.This was achieved by means of rotationally accelerated shot peening(RASP).The non-equiatomic Co Cr Fe Mn Ni high-entropy alloy achieved a yield strength of 750 MPa,a tensile strength of 1050 MPa,and tensile uniform elongation of 27.5%.The toughness of the alloy was 2.53×10^(10)k J/m^(3),which is about 2 times that of the same alloy without the RASP treatment.The strength increase is attributed to the effects of grain boundary strengthening,dislocation strengthening,twin strengthening,and hetero-deformation strengthening associated with the heterogeneous microstructure of the alloy.The concurrent occurrence of the multiple deformation mechanisms,i.e.,dislocation deformation,twining deformation and microband deformation,contributes to achieving a suitable strain hardening of the alloy that helps to prevent early necking and to assure steady plastic deformation for high toughness.Zibing An Shengcheng Mao Yinong Liu Hao Zhou Yadi Zhai Zhiyong Tian Cuixiu Liu Ze Zhang Xiaodong Han 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,33:3
6Fluorinated Surfactants and Fluorinated Polymer Materials(Ⅱ):Environmental and Safety Issues显示文摘The environmental and safety issues of perfluorooctane sulfonyl fluoride/perfluorooctane sulfonic acid/ perfluorooctane sulfonates (PFOS) were introduced in detail by summarizing several published reviews, including their production, occurrence and emission in environment, exposure and intake to human being, supervision and emission reduction, long-distance transport, bioaccumulation and excretion, degradation and toxicity. Opinion with respect to safety issues of PFOS was also proposed in view of surfactant working field in order to upgrade their application value. The overreaction in the current state for the fear of “fluorine” was concerned. 9Identification of close relationship between atmospheric oxidation and ozone formation regimes in a photochemically active region显示文摘Understanding ozone(O_(3))formation regime is a prerequisite in formulating an effective O_(3)pollution control strategy.Photochemical indicator is a simple and direct method in identifying O_(3)formation regimes.Most used indicators are derived from observations,whereas the role of atmospheric oxidation is not in consideration,which is the core driver of O_(3)formation.Thus,it may impact accuracy in signaling O_(3)formation regimes.In this study,an advanced three-dimensional numerical modeling system was used to investigate the relationship between atmospheric oxidation and O_(3)formation regimes during a long-lasting O_(3)exceedance event in September 2017 over the Pearl River Delta(PRD)of China.We discovered a clear relationship between atmospheric oxidative capacity and O_(3)formation regime.Over eastern PRD,O_(3)formation was mainly in a NO x-limited regime when HO_(2)/OH ratio was higher than 11,while in a VOC-limited regime when the ratio was lower than 9.5.Over central and western PRD,an HO_(2)/OH ratio higher than 5 and lower than 2 was indicative of NO x-limited and VOC-limited regime,respectively.Physical contribution,including horizontal transport and vertical transport,may pose uncertainties on the indication of O_(3)formation regime by HO_(2)/OH ratio.In comparison with other commonly used photochemical indicators,HO_(2)/OH ratio had the best performance in differentiating O_(3)formation regimes.This study highlighted the necessities in using an atmospheric oxidative capacity-based indicator to infer O_(3)formation regime,and underscored the importance of characterizing behaviors of radicals to gain insight in atmospheric processes leading to O_(3)pollution over a photochemically active region.Kaihui Zhao Huihong Luo Zibing Yuan Danni Xu Yi Du Shu Zhang Yuqi Hao Yonghua Wu Jianping Huang Ying Wang Rongsheng Jiang 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4:1

20Numerical simulation on magnetic confinement characteristics of internal vortex electrostatic cyclone precipitator under different working voltages显示文摘Aiming at improving the capture performance of internal vortex electrostatic cyclone precipitator(ECP),a theoretical model with mechanics-electric-magnetic coupling was established,the collection efficiency of magnetic confinement ECP under different working voltages was simulated,and the influence of magnetic flux intensity on the removal performance of submicron particles was explored.Results show that the number of particles escaped from the cyclone is greatly reduced after the introduction of magnetic field and electric field,indicating that charging effect and magnetic confinement are more conductive to trap submicron particles in the internal vortex ECP.The lower the working voltage is,the worse the charging lifting effect is,but the stronger the magnetic confinement characteristics are.Furthermore,the contributions of charging effect to collection efficiency and magnetic confinement characteristics are more obvious at a weaker magnetic flux density.The research results can provide a practical new idea for the innovative design of ECP.Jianping Zhang Jiaqi Wang Peng Che Youqi Wang Zhiyao Lu Zibing Qu 2023Particuology2023,,3:1
