2Influence of Temperature and Salinity on Germination of Eelgrass (Zostera marina L.) Seeds显示文摘Seagrass restoration as part of ocean ecosystem protection has been launched for many years all over the world, but intensive research on this subject in China has just begun in recent years. Seed broadcasting has been widely accepted as the most potentially useful method for seagrass restoration over large areas. We examined the influence of key environmental factors on seed germination to help promote eelgrass bed restoration. Under anoxic conditions, the influence of temperature and salinity on the germination rate of eelgrass (Zostera marina L.) seeds was examined at different combinations of four temperatures (4, 9, 14, and 24℃) and nine salinities (5 to 45, increment of 5). The effect of significant interaction of temperature and salinity on germination rate was observed (ANOVA) (P<0.001). The highest germination rate (83.3 ± 3.5)% was reached in 8 weeks at 14℃ and salinity 5. Higher temperature significantly increased the germination rate at salinity 5 (P<0.001) during the whole observation period except for 24℃, while lower salinity significantly increased the germination rate at 14℃ (P<0.001). Although significant interaction was found between temperature and salinity (P<0.001), the influence of salinity was stronger than that of temperature for the germination of eelgrass seeds. 3Monolithic superaligned carbon nanotube composite with integrated rewriting, actuating and sensing multifunctions显示文摘Multifunctionality has become a mainstream trend in the development of smart clothing and flexible wearable devices.Nevertheless,it remains a grand challenge to realize multiple functions,such as sensing,actuating and information displaying,in one single multifunctional material.Here,we present one multifunctional integration strategy by employing monolithic superaligned carbon nanotube(SACNT)composite,which can leverage three different functions through fascinating features of SACNT.Firstly,by using thermochromic dye as a color-memorizing component and SACNT as a photothermal converter,the composite film can be utilized as a flexible rewritable medium.It demonstrates excellent rewriting performances(reversibility>500 times).Secondly,the composite can be tailored to fabricate an actuator,when its length direction is along the SACNT alignment.The actuator shows a bending-morphing when illuminated by near-infrared light.The morphing is attributed to a large difference in volume change between the SACNT and polymer when the SACNT absorbs the optical energy and heats the composite.Thirdly,owing to the unique anisotropy of SACNT,the composite is easily to be stretched in the direction perpendicular to the SACNT alignment,accompanied by a change in electrical resistance.Therefore,the composite is able to be used as a strain sensor.Finally,we fabricate two smart wearable devices to demonstrate the applications,which realize the functions of human-motion detection(sensing)and rewritable information display(rewriting)simultaneously.This multifunctional SACNT composite is expected to have potential applications in the next-generation wearable devices,smart clothing and so on.Peidi Zhou Wei Zhang Luzhuo Chen Jian Lin Zhiling Luo Changhong Liu Kaili Jiang 2021Nano Research2021,14,7:2
4uPA和V-ATP酶mRNA在肝癌组织中的表达及意义(英文)显示文摘Objective: To study the expressions and clinical significance of uPA and V-ATPase mRNA in human hepatocel-lular carcinoma. Methods: Reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) was used to detect the expressions of uPA and V-ATPase mRNA in 45 specimens of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), their para-neoplastic tissues and 7 para-hepatic hemangioma tissues for controls. The diagnosis for all specimens was made by pathologists. Results: The positive rates of uPA mRNA in HCC, para-neoplastic tissues and the controls were 100%, 86.44% and 28.57% respectively, and there were significant differences among three groups (P < 0.05). The positive rates of V-ATPase mRNA in HCC, para-neoplastic tissues and the controls were 100%, 86.67% and 57.14% respectively, and there were also significant differences among three groups (P < 0.05). In addition, the positive rates of uPA and V-ATP mRNA in HCC were significantly correlated with portal vein cancer thrombosis and remote metastasis (P < 0.01). However, the positive rates had no correlation to cancer size or pathological stage, serum AFP lever and HBV infection (P > 0.05). 7Photo-thermoelectric generator integrated in graphene-based actuator for self-powered sensing function显示文摘Smart actuators integrated with sensing functions are taking a significant role in constructing intelligent robots.However,the detection of sensing signals in most actuators requires external electrical power,lacking in the self-powered feature.Herein,we report a graphene-based light-driven actuator with self-powered sensing function,which is designed by integrating a photothermoelectric generator into the actuator intelligently.When one part of the actuator is irradiated by near-infrared light,it shows a deformation with bending curvature up to 1.5 cm^(−1),owing to the mismatch volume changes between two layers of the actuator.Meanwhile,the temperature difference across the actuator generates a voltage signal due to the photo-thermoelectric effect.The Seebeck coefficient is higher than 40μV/K.Furthermore,the self-powered voltage signal is consistent with the deformation trend,which can be used to characterize the deformation state of actuator without external electrical power.We further demonstrate a gripper and a bionic hand.Their deformations mimic the motions of human hand(or finger),even making complex gestures.Concurrently,they can output self-powered voltage signals for sensing.We hope this research will pave a new way for selfpowered devices,state-of-the-art intelligent robots,and other integrated multi-functional systems.Peidi Zhou Jian Lin Wei Zhang Zhiling Luo Luzhuo Chen 2022Nano Research2022,15,6:0
8A survey of hybrid energy devices based on supercapacitors显示文摘Developing multifunctional energy storage systems with high specific energy, high specific power and long cycling life has been the one of the most important research directions. Compared to batteries and traditional capacitors, supercapacitors possess more balanced performance with both high specific power and long cycle-life. Nevertheless, regular supercapacitors can only achieve energy storage without harvesting energy and the energy density is still not very high compared to batteries. Therefore, combining high specific energy and high specific power,long cycle-life and even fast self-charging into one cell has been a promising direction for future energy storage devices. The multifunctional hybrid supercapacitors like asymmetric supercapacitors, batteries/supercapacitors hybrid devices and self-charging hybrid supercapacitors have been widely studied recently. Carbon based electrodes are common materials used in all kinds of energy storage devices due to their fabulous electrical and mechanical properties. In this survey, the research progress of all kinds of hybrid supercapacitors using multiple effects and their working mechanisms are briefly reviewed. And their advantages and disadvantages are discussed. 9Combined Echocardiography and Lung Ultrasound for Extubation Outcome Prediction in Children after Cardiac Surgery显示文摘Background:Children are at risk of extubation failure after congenital heart disease surgery.Such cases should be identified to avoid possible adverse consequences of failed extubation.This study aimed to identify ultrasound predictors of successful extubation in children who underwent cardiac surgery.Methods:Children aged 3 months to 6 years who underwent cardiac surgery(if they were intubated for>6 h and underwent a spontaneous breathing trial)were included in this study.Results:We included 83 children who underwent surgery for congenital heart disease.Transthoracic echocardiography and lung ultrasound were performed immediately before spontaneous breathing trials.Upon spontaneous breathing trial completion,respiratory parameters,including arterial blood gas analysis and frequency-to-tidal volume ratio,were similarly recorded.For outcome assessment,all children were followed up for 48 h after extubation.We successfully extubated 57 children(68.7%).These children were significantly older and weighed more but had shorter aortic cross-clamp and cardiopulmonary bypass times.Children who could not be weaned or extubated had prolonged total mechanical ventilation and pediatric intensive care unit stay.In the multivariate regression analysis,a lung ultrasound score≥12 and ejection fraction≥40%immediately before spontaneous breathing trials were the only independent predictors of successful extubation.When combined,the lung ultrasound score and an ejection fraction≥40%showed a better diagnostic performance than every other isolated variable(lung ultrasound,N-terminal-pro-B-type natriuretic peptide,and frequency-to-tidal volume ratio).Conclusions:The combination of lung ultrasound and transthoracic echocardiography immediately before the spontaneous breathing trial effectively predicts extubation outcomes in children after cardiac surgery.Muzi Li Hong Meng Liang Zhang Yuzi Zhou Chao Liang Zhiling Luo Hao Wang 2022Congenital Heart Disease2022,17,3:0
10Transfer Behavior of Carbendazim from Dried Yingshan Yunwu Tea Leaves into Tea Infusions显示文摘Tea infusion is the main route of human exposure to pollutants in tea,and it is vital to investigate the transfer rate of pollutants from tea leaves to infusion.Carbendazim is a commonly used systemic fungicide,the transfer behavior of which in Yingshan Yunwu tea is not clear.Hence,this study firstly established the analytical method for determination of carbendazim with great accuracy and precision via modified QuEChERS method and ultra-performance liquid chromatography-fluorescence detection(UPLC-FLD).Then,the transfer behavior of carbendazim from tea leaves and infusion was systematically investigated.Results indicated that water temperature and proportion of tea to water ration would obviously increase the transfer rate of carbendazim,but times of infusion repetition showed negative correlation with the transfer rate of carbendazim.In addition,brewing time seemed to have lesser impact on the transfer rate.This study will be helpful for the risk assessment of carbendazim residue and provide the guidance for tea brewing.Xinyu LIU Yuchao TIAN Haijian LIU Qingling ZHU Nan LUO Zhiling HU Chang LIU 2023Agricultural Biotechnology2023,12,5:0
11Effects of Househould Cleaning Methods on Carbendazim Residue in Apples显示文摘Carbendazim,belonging to fungicides,was commonly used for controlling crop diseases,resulting in frequent residues in fruits and vegetables.Washing was the initial step of household fruit processing for cleaning and reducing pollutant contents.However,the effect of washing on the removal of carbendazim in apples was not systemically studied.Thus,in this study,an analytical method was firstly established for the determination of carbendazim with great accuracy and precision through quick,simple,cheap,effective and safe(QuEChERS)method and ultra-performance liquid chromatography-fluorescence detection(UPLC-FLD).Then,the influencing factors were systematically researched to unveil their effects on the carbendazim residue in apples.The results indicated that water temperature,washing products and washing method could obviously affect the carbendazim content in apples.In addition,the best cleaning scheme for removal of carbendazim was soaking apples for 5 min in a cleaning solution,which was prepared by dissolving 8 g of commercial fruit washing soup with 500 ml of water at 45℃.Under this condition,the removal rate of carbendazim in the washing step reached 73.91%.This study will be helpful for providing guidance for household cleaning methods for controlling pesticide residues.Zhiling HU Yuchao TIAN Qingling ZHU Haijian LIU Nan LUO Fan WANG Ziyi ZHANG Furong LIU Chang LIU Mengrong CHENG 2023Agricultural Biotechnology2023,12,6:0

13Plant-leaf-inspired MXene-silk composite for intelligent solar steam generation combined with mechanical actuation显示文摘Solar steam generators based on photothermal materials are important in producing fresh water.However,conventional solar steam generators are difficult to self-adapt to the complex external environment as organisms.Herein,inspired by the plant leaf,we propose a photothermal composite based on MXene and silk to add more functionality.On one hand,the composite achieves an evaporation rate of 1.51 kg·m^(−2)·h^(−1)and a conversion efficiency of 86.9%under a solar intensity of 1 kW·m^(−2),mimicking the water transpiration of plant leaf.On the other hand,the MXene-silk-based actuator shows a maximum bending curvature of 0.91 cm^(−1)under a solar intensity of 5 kW·m^(−2).Furthermore,an intelligent solar system is constructed utilizing the synergy of solar steam generator and actuator,which advances the research from the material level to the system level.Mimicking the behavior of plant leaf,the system can automatically open during the day to generate steam and fresh water.And at night or in bad weather,it will automatically close to prevent external pollution such as dust,achieving intelligent anti-fouling.This research will have good application prospects in less developed areas.Meanwhile,it also provides a certain reference value for exploring multi-functional photothermal devices in the future.Yongqiang Qian Zhiling Luo Yi Wang Wei Zhang Luzhuo Chen 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0
14Development of Neural Network for BLSOM Clustering of HA Genes of Avian Influenza Viruses Isolated in Guangdong Province显示文摘A neural network classification method,and a batch-learning self-organizing map(BLSOM),was established using trinucleotide and tetranucleotide in the hemagglutinin gene sequences of 25 avian influenza viruses isolated in Guangdong Province. Statistical analysis and normalization of the fragment number were done and MATLAB function was used to simulate the human brain thinking for self-organizing learning. When the number of training steps was 100 and above,the strains could be successfully clustered.
