| 1 | Peat record reflecting Holo-cene climatic change in the Zoige Plateau and AMS radiocarbon dating显示文摘Through the use of reliable AMS dating of high resolution (15-30 years) peat and the establishment of monsoon climate proxies sequence, we have been able to recognize several cold, dry events in the Tibetan Plateau during the Holocene. The more obvious ones occurred around 12800, 11300, 10200, 9580, 8900, 6400, 4400, 3700, 2800 and 1500 cal. aBP. These events correlate well with both ice rafting events recorded in high latitude North Atlantic Ocean sediment cores and cooling events in the low latitude SST. Spectral analysis indicates high frequency climate variation on centennial-millennial time scale during the Holocene. | 2 | Assessment of the GPM and TRMM Precipitation Products Using the Rain Gauge Network over the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Using high-quality hourly observations from national-level ground-based stations, the satellite-based rainfall products from both the Global Precipitation Measurement(GPM) Integrated Multisatellit E Retrievals for GPM(IMERG) and its predecessor, the Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission(TRMM) Multi-satellite Precipitation Analysis(TMPA), are statistically evaluated over the Tibetan Plateau(TP), with an emphasis on the diurnal variation.The results indicate that:(1) the half-hourly IMERG rainfall product can explicitly describe the diurnal variation over the TP, but with discrepancies in the timing of the greatest precipitation intensity and an overestimation of the maximum rainfall intensity over the whole TP. In addition, the performance of IMERG on the hourly timescale, in terms of the correlation coefficient and relative bias, is different for regions with sea level height below or above 3500 m;(2) the IMERG products, having higher correlation and lower root-mean-square error, perform better than the TMPA products on the daily and monthly timescales; and(3) the detection ability of IMERG is superior to that of TMPA, as corroborated by a higher Hanssen and Kuipers score, a higher probability of detection, a lower false alarm ratio, and a lower bias. Compared to TMPA, the IMERG products ameliorate the overestimation across the TP. | 5 | Fe-based metallic glass:An efficient and energy-saving electrode material for electrocatalytic degradation of water contaminants显示文摘Excessive consumption of electrical energy has hampered the widespread application of electrochemical technology for degradation of various contaminants. In this paper, a Fe-based metallic glass(MG) was demonstrated as a new type of electrocatalyst to effectively and economically degrade an azo dye. In comparison to other typical electrodes, Fe-based MG electrodes exhibit a minimized degradation time, and the specific energy is 4-6 orders of magnitude lower than that of dimensionally stable anode(DSA), metal-like boron-doped diamond(BDD) and other electrodes. As sacrificial electrode materials, Fe-based MGs have less specific electrode mass consumption than iron electrodes. | 7 | Analysis of Vitamin P Content and Inheritance Models in Eggplant显示文摘The eggplant(Solanum melongena L.)is rich in vitamin P(also known as rutin),which is beneficial for humans.In this study,the vitamin P contents of 53 eggplant lines were measured via UV spectrophotometry.The results showed that the vitamin P content differed significantly among the eggplant lines and the actual contents of vitamin P in fresh fruit pulp and fresh peel were 0.18–0.82mg·g^−1 and 0.42–2.32mg·g^−1,respectively.Furthermore,themixed major gene and polygene inheritance modelmethod was used for the inheritance analysis of the vitamin P content in F2 populations of three hybridization combinations.Inheritance analysis demonstrated that the vitamin P content of these eggplant lines was a quantitative trait.One or two major genes were the contributor,and the genetic effect was an additive-dominance effect.The high vitamin P content trait was regulated by the main gene and followed an additive effect.The heritability of the major genes controlling the high vitamin P content was low,while the heritability of the major gene that controls the low vitamin P content trait was high.These results provide a theoretical basis for the breeding of eggplants with high vitamin P content. | Riyue Dong Bingwei Yu Shuangshuang Yan Zhengkun Qiu Jianjun Lei Changming Chen Ye Li Bihao Cao | 2020 | Horticultural Plant Journal2020,6,4: | 3 |
| 8 | Treatment of constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome by focusing on the liver in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine:a meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To assess the efficacy of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)on constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome by focusing on the liver.METHODS:Databases(domestic and foreign)were searched with the key words'irritable bowel syndrome','constipation',and'Chinese medicine';the relevant articles were retrieved and evaluated.Cure rate,'remarkable efficacy',recurrence rate and the incidence of adverse reactions were the outcome indicators.Review Manager ver 5.1 was used for this meta-analysis,and funnel plots used to detect publication bias.RESULTS:Nineteen randomized controlled trials were included and 1510 patients involved.The treatment guided byTCM based on the liver was superior to Western Medicine[odds ratio(OR)=2.46,95%confidence interval(CI)1.80,3.35)],cure rate[OR=2.61,95%CI(1.93,3.52)],remarkable efficacy[OR=2.68,95%CI(1.82,3.95)],recurrence rate[OR=0.19,95%CI(0.12,0.29)]and the incidence of adverse reactions[OR=0.24,95%CI(0.09,0.65)].However,funnel plots showed publication bias.CONCLUSION:Compared with Western Medicine,the treatment of IBS-C based on the liver is significantly better but the results must be treated with caution because publication bias was recorded. | Qianwen Li Fengbin Liu Zhengkun Hou Di Luo | 2013 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2013,33,5: | 3 |

| 12 | Co_(78)Si_(8)B_(14)metallic glass:A highly efficient and ultra-sustainable Fenton-like catalyst in degrading wastewater under universal pH conditions显示文摘Overcoming the pH limitation and increasing the catalyst reusability remain pressing demands for metal-lic glass(MG)in wastewater remediation.Herein,Co_(78)Si_(8)B_(14)MG ribbons are used to degrade dye wastew-ater by activating hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))as Fenton-like catalysts.The Co-based MG catalysts exhibit high degradation efficiency under both acidic and alkaline conditions,and the kinetic reaction rate at pH 10(0.176 min^(−1)) and pH 4(0.089 min^(−1)) is 5.9 and 1.2 times higher than that of the extensively studied Fe-based MG catalysts,respectively.Impressively,the Co-based MG catalysts can be reused up to 20-60 times at universal pH conditions,demonstrating fairly good reusability.The newly discovered Co-based MG catalysts do not follow the classical Fenton reactions with H_(2)O^(2) the way Fe-based MGs do.In an acid environment,hydroxyl radicals play a dominant role in the degradation,while in an alkaline environ-ment,the effect of hydroxyl radicals is weakened,and Co^(3+) ions exert a relatively major function on the degradation.The excellent performance in catalytic activity and reusability at universal pH conditions of the Co-based MGs will inspire the development of MGs in wastewater treatment. | Xindong Qin Jiliang Xu Zhengwang Zhu Zhengkun Li Dawei Fang Huameng Fu Shiming Zhang Haifeng Zhang | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,18: | 2 |
| 13 | Mechanism and kinetics of treatment of acid orange II by aged Fe-Si-B metallic glass powders显示文摘The mechanism and kinetics of acid orange II(AOII) treated by aged gas-atomized Fe-Si-B metallic glass(MG) powders were investigated in this study. The decolorization reaction is shown to obey the pseudofirst-order kinetic model, and the treatment processes could be divided into two stages: a slow step followed by a rapid one. This observation is in accordance with the following results, the azo dye is simply adsorbed onto the Fe-based MG powders in the initial stage, because the oxide layer coated on the powder surface depresses the degradation reaction by covering the activity sites, and then the degradation occurs with the desquamation of the powders. The AOII could be degraded with a rapid reaction rate when the Fe-based MG powders are applied to the treatment process again, because of the consumption of the oxide layer and the unchanged core of the Fe-based MGs.
