Destruction geodynamics of the North China Craton and its Paleoproterozoic plate tectonics显示文摘Much attention has been paid in the last two decades to the physical and chemical processes as well as temporal-spatial variations of the lithospheric mantle beneath the North China Craton. In order to provide insights into the geodynamics of this variation, it is necessary to thoroughly study the state and structure of the lithospheric crust and mantle of the North China Craton and its adjacent regions as an integrated unit. Based on the velocity structure of the crust and upper mantle constrained from seismological studies, this paper presents various available geophysical results regarding the lithosphere thickness, the nature of crust-mantle boundary, the upper mantle structure and deformation characteristics as well as their tectonic features and evolution systematics. Combined with the obtained data from petrology and geochemistry, a mantle flow model is proposed for the tectonic evolution of the North China Craton during the Mesozoic-Cenozoic. We suggest that subduction of the Pacific plate made the mantle underneath the eastern Asian continent unstable and able to flow faster. Such a regional mantle flow system would cause an elevation of melt/fluid content in the upper mantle of the North China Craton and the lithospheric softening, which, subsequently resulted in destruction of the North China Craton in different ways of delamination and thermal erosion in Yanshan, Taihang Mountains and the Tan-Lu Fault zone. Multiple lines of evidence recorded in the crust of the North China Craton, such as the amalgamation of the Archean eastern and western blocks, the subduction of Paleo-oceanic crust and Paleo-continental residue, indicate that the Earth in the Paleoproterozoic had already evolved into the plate tectonic system similar to the present plate tectonics. | ZHU RiXiang ZHENG TianYu | 2009 | Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,19: | 89
Destruction of the North China Craton显示文摘A National Science Foundation of China(NSFC) major research project,Destruction of the North China Craton(NCC),has been carried out in the past few years by Chinese scientists through an in-depth and systematic observations, experiments and theoretical analyses, with an emphasis on the spatio-temporal distribution of the NCC destruction, the structure of deep earth and shallow geological records of the craton evolution, the mechanism and dynamics of the craton destruction. From this work the following conclusions can be drawn:(1) Significant spatial heterogeneity exists in the NCC lithospheric thickness and crustal structure, which constrains the scope of the NCC destruction.(2) The nature of the Paleozoic,Mesozoic and Cenozoic sub-continental lithospheric mantle(CLM) underneath the NCC is characterized in detail. In terms of water content, the late Mesozoic CLM was rich in water, but Cenozoic CLM was highly water deficient.(3) The correlation between magmatism and surface geological response confirms that the geological and tectonic evolution is governed by cratonic destruction processes.(4) Pacific subduction is the main dynamic factor that triggered the destruction of the NCC,which highlights the role of cratonic destruction in plate tectonics. | ZHU RiXiang XU YiGang ZHU Guang ZHANG HongFu XIA QunKe ZHENG TianYu | 2012 | Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,10: | 119

Mantle dynamics of the reactivating North China Craton:Constraints from the topographies of the 410-km and 660-km discontinuities显示文摘The topographies of the 410-km and 660-km discontinuities have important implications for mantle dynamics. Here we present high-resolution seismic imaging of the 410-km and 660-km discontinuities beneath the North China Craton (NCC) employing the receiver function method.Depth anomalies (deeper or shallower than the global average depths) at both discontinuities were detected by introducing a three-dimensional regional velocity model. The depressions of the 410-km discontinuity are mostly located in the eastern NCC.A local elevation of the 660-km discontinuity appeared in the northwest of the NCC and a significant depression of the 660-km discontinuity is located in the southeast of the NCC.Two dynamic mantle regimes are speculated to explain the formation of the anomalous depth zones in the NCC.One possibility is a complex mantle upwelling linked to edge-derived convection between the stagnant slab and the thick cratonic root. The other potential dynamic regime is slab stagnating, sinking, and induced upwelling at the neighboring slab front. These regimes hint that the mantle flow was possibly dominated by dynamic interactions among the subducting slab, cratonic root, and ambient mantle beneath the NCC. | XU WeiWei ZHENG TianYu ZHAO Liang | 2011 | Science China Earth Sciences2011,54,6: | 17
A seismic model for crustal structure in North China Craton显示文摘We present a digital crustal model in North China Craton(NCC). The construction of crustal model is based on digitization of original seismic sounding profiles, and new results of three-dimensional structure images of receiver functions. The crustal model includes seismic velocity and thickness of crustal layers. The depths to Moho indicate a thinning crust ~30 km in the east areas and a general westward deepening to more than 40 km in the west. The P wave velocity varies from 2.0 to 5.6 km/s in the sedimentary cover, from 5.8 to 6.4 km/s in the upper crust, and from 6.5 to 7.0 km/s in the lower crust. By analyzing regional trends in crustal structure and links to tectonic evolution illustrated by typical profiles, we conclude that:(1) The delimited area by the shallowing Moho in the eastern NCC represents the spatial range of the craton destruction. The present structure of the eastern NCC crust retains the tectonic information about craton destruction by extension and magmatism;(2) The tectonic activities of the craton destruction have modified the crustal structure of the convergence boundaries at the northern and southern margin of the NCC;(3) The Ordos terrene may represent a relatively stable tectonic feature in the NCC, but with the tectonic remnant of the continental collision during the assembly of the NCC in the north-east area and the response to the lateral expansion of the Tibetan Plateau during the Cenozoic in the south-west. | TianYu Zheng YongHong Duan WeiWei Xu YinShuang Ai | 2017 | Earth and Planetary Physics2017,1,1: | 5

3D dahlia-like NiAl-LDH/CdS heterosystem coordinating with 2D/2D interface for efficient and selective conversion of CO_(2)显示文摘Developing photocatalyst with high activity, superior stability and prominent selectivity for CO_(2)conversion is of great importance for the target of carbon neutralization.Herein,3 D dahlia-like NiAl-LDH/CdS heterosystem is developed through in-situ decoration of exfoliated CdS nanosheets on the scaffold of NiAl-LDH and the on-spot self-assembly.The formation of a hierarchical architecture collaborating with well-defined 2 D/2 D interfacial interaction is constructed by optimizing the ratio of CdS integrated in the formation of the heterojunction. The light-harvesting capacity of NiAl-LDH/CdS is improved by this unique scaffold, and the charge transfer between NiAl-LDH and CdS is effectively facilitated by virtue of the unique 2 D/2 D interface. As a result, the 3 D hierarchical NiAl-LDH/CdS heterosystem presents 12.45μmol g^(-1)h^(-1)of CO production(3.3 and 1.6 folds of pristine NiAl-LDH and CdS) with 96% selectivity and superior stability. This 3 D hierarchical design collaborating with 2 D/2 D interfacial interaction provides a new avenue to develop ideal catalysts for artificial photosynthesis. | Xiaoyue Zhang Yong Yang Lijun Xiong Tianyu Wang Zheng Tang Panjie Li Nan Yin Aiwu Sun Jinyou Shen | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,4: | 2
Effect of system response on partial surge initiated instability in a transonic axial flow compressor显示文摘Partial surge is a type of instability inception in transonic compressors and occurs in the form of axisymmetric low-frequency disturbances localized in the hub region.Previous studies illustrate that the frequency of partial surge is set by the Helmholtz frequency of the entire system, which motivates to propose a hypothesis that the system response performs an important role in the formation of partial surge. For further verification,a series of experiments are conducted to explore the link between the propagating of the partial surge and the system feedback in this study. In the first case,an additional test point is set on the wall of the plenum to detect the system response.Combining the flow behaviors inside the plenum with the disturbances in the rotor tip and stator hub/tip regions, the effects of the system feedback on the occurrence of the continuous disturbances and the rotating stall cells are illustrated. In the second case,a screen is mounted at the compressor outlet to prevent positive feedback from the plenum. The experimental results demonstrate that in the absence of system feedback,it is the occurrence of spike-type stall inception that leads to the flow instability instead of that of partial surge. In addition, three flow phenomena in the second case are discussed, including the occurrence of the single pulse, the unstable process during the stall evolution and the switch of instability inception. | Tianyu PAN Zhaoqi YAN Dakun SUN Simin LI Mengzong ZHENG Qiushi LI | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,2: | 2
Small RNAs in pollen显示文摘In plants, each pollen mother cell undergoes two rounds of cell divisions to form a mature pollen grain, which contains a vegetative cell(VC) and two sperm cells(SC). As a companion cell, the VC carries the SCs to an ovule by germinating a pollen tube. In-depth sequencing analyses of mature pollen showed that micro RNAs(mi RNAs) and short interfering RNAs(si RNAs) are present in both the VC and SCs. Additionally, epigenetically-regulated transposable elements(TEs) are reactivated in the VC and these TE m RNAs are further processed into 21-nt epigenetically reactivated si RNA(easiR NA) in SCs, which prevent 24-nt si RNA accumulation and sequester mi RNA loading. Small RNAs are thought to move from the VC to SCs, where they regulate gene expression and reinforce TE silencing. Here, we summarize current knowledge of the biogenesis and function of mi RNAs, si RNAs, and easi RNAs in pollen, emphasizing how these different small RNAs coordinately contribute to sperm cell formation and TE silencing. | HE Hui YANG TianYu WU WenYe ZHENG BingLian | 2015 | Science China(Life Sciences)2015,58,3: | 2
Sugarcane bagasse dietary fiber as an adjuvant therapy for stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease:a four-center,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled study显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of sugarcane bagasse dietary fiber as an adjuvant therapy for improving quality of life in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).METHODS:This was a multicenter,randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled trial.A total of196 participants were randomized into a trial group(treated with 6 g/day sugarcane bagasse plus conventional treatment,n = 98) and a control group(treated with placebo plus conventional treatment,n = 98).All efficacy analyses were performed according to the intention-to-treat(ITT) principle.A per-protocol analysis set(PPS) was used to analyze the cases that completed the clinical trial with good compliance. The trial period was 30 days, with a 6-month follow-up.Pre-and post-treatmentpulmonary symptom scores(cough, sputum, wheezing, and dyspnea) were recorded for both groups. The St.George's Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ) and the modified Medical Research Council(m MRC) dyspnea scale were assessed before treatment and at the end of the 6-month follow-up.RESULTS:The ITT population was 178 and the PPS population was 166.Post-treatment pulmonary clinical symptoms and severity of dyspnea(m MRC and SGRQ evaluation) were significantly improved in both the trial group and the control group(ITT and PPS:P < 0.05).However,there was no statistical difference between the two groups in post-treatment pulmonary symptoms and m MRC.There was a greater reduction in the SGRQ subscales of activity, effect and total score in the trial group compared with the control group(ITT and PPS:P < 0.01).There was no statistical difference in pre-and post-treatment safety variables in either group.CONCLUSION:Sugarcane bagasse combined with conventional treatment improved quality of life in patients with stable COPD.Sugarcane bagasse appears to be a safe herbal medicine with potential for treating patients with stable COPD when taken orally as an adjuvant therapy. | Liu Miao Zheng Fengjie Ni Lei Sun Yan Wu Ruohan Zhang Tianyu Zhang Jinchao Zhong Xianggen Li Yuhang | 2016 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,4: | 2
Determining the key conditions for the formation of metamorphic core complexes by geodynamic modeling and insights into the destruction of North China Craton显示文摘Metamorphic core complex(MCC) is characterized by the exhumation of lower crust over a large-scale detachment fault, providing natural records for tectonic extension. MCCs are widely identified in the North China Craton(NCC), which have been intensively studied on their structural and geological characteristics. Yet, the condition for the formation of MCCs and their link with NCC destruction are still in debate. In this study, we perform numerical simulations to investigate MCC formation under extension, with a focus on the effect of crustal rheologies. Results indicate that three end-member modes of deformation may occur: the metamorphic core complex mode, the detachment fault-uplifting mode and the pure shear mode. Weaker lower crust and stronger upper crust may promote the formation of MCC. In contrast, stronger lower crust(>1.3×1021 Pa s) may prohibit the exhumation of lower crust(detachment fault-uplifting mode), while weaker upper crust(<7.8×1021 Pa s) may fail to develop detachment faults(pure shear mode). Given that cratons typically have a strong crust, we suggest that the lower crust of NCC was weakened prior to extension, which promoted the formation of MCC in a later stage under the back-arc extension. | LU Gang ZHAO Liang ZHENG TianYu WANG Kun YANG JianFeng | 2016 | Science China Earth Sciences2016,59,9: | 2
Integrated guidance and control design of a flight vehicle with side-window detection显示文摘This paper considers the guidance and control problem of a flight vehicle with sidewindow detection. In order to guarantee the target remaining in the seeker's sight of view, the line of sight and the attitude of the flight vehicle should be under some constraints caused by the sidewindow, which leads to coupling between the guidance and the attitude dynamics model. To deal with the side-window constraints and the coupling, a novel Integrated Guidance and Control(IGC)design approach is proposed. Firstly, the relative motion equations are derived in the body-Line of Sight(LOS) coordinate system. And the guidance and control problem of the flight vehicle is formulated into an IGC problem with state constraints. Then, based on the singular perturbation method, the IGC problem is decomposed into the control design of the quasi-steady-state subsystem and the boundary-layer subsystem which can be designed separately. Finally, the receding horizon control is applied to the control design for the two subsystems. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach. | Tianyu ZHENG Yu YAO Fenghua HE Denggao JI | 2018 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2018,31,4: | 2
A bio-inspired and self-powered triboelectric tactile sensor for underwater vehicle perception显示文摘Marine mammals relying on tactile perception for hunting are able to achieve a remarkably high prey capture rate without visual or acoustic perception. Here,a self-powered triboelectric palm-like tactile sensor(TPTS)is designed to build a tactile perceptual system for underwater vehicles. It is enabled by a three-dimensional structure that mimics the leathery, granular texture in the palms of sea otters, whose inner neural architecture provides additional clues indicating the importance of tactile information. With the assistance of palm structure and triboelectric nanogenerator technology, the proposed TPTS has the ability to detect and distinguish normal and shear external load in real-time and approximate the external stimulation area, especially not affected by the touch frequency, that is,it can maintain stable performance under high-frequency contact. The results show that the TPTS is a promising tool for integration into grippers mounted on underwater vehicles to complete numerous underwater tasks. | Peng Xu Jianhua Liu Xiangyu Liu Xinyu Wang Jiaxi Zheng Siyuan Wang Tianyu Chen Hao Wang Chuan Wang Xianping Fu Guangming Xie Jin Tao Minyi Xu | 2022 | npj Flexible Electronics2022,6,1: | 1

A new approach for inversion of receiver function for crustal structure in the depth domain显示文摘A method for reconstructing crustal velocity structure using the optimization of stacking receiver function amplitude in the depth domain, named common conversion amplitude(CCA)inversion,is presented. The conversion amplitude in the depth domain, which represents the impedance change in the medium,is obtained by assigning the receiver function amplitude to the corresponding conversion position where the P-to-S conversion occurred.Utilizing the conversion amplitude variation with depth as an optimization objective, imposing reliable prior constraints on the structural model frame and velocity range, and adopting a stepwise search inversion technique, this method efficiently weakens the tendency of easily falling into the local extremum in conventional receiver function inversion.Synthetic tests show that the CCA inversion can reconstruct complex crustal velocity structures well and is especially suitable for revealing crustal evolution by estimating diverse velocity distributions. Its performance in reconstructing crustal structure is superior to that of the conventional receiver function imaging method. | TianYu Zheng YuMei He Yue Zhu | 2022 | Earth and Planetary Physics2022,6,1: | 1
Detection of free surface composition and molecular-level structural development of styrene(S)/butadiene(B) block copolymer films during a solution-to-film process显示文摘The surface chemical structure development in solution-cast styrene(S)/butadiene(B) block copolymer films as a function of solvent evaporation time was investigated using sum frequency generation vibrational spectroscopy(SFG).The surface structure formation of the styrene(S)/butadien(B) block copolymer(30 wt% PS) films during the solution-to-film process was found to be controlled mainly by dynamic factors, such as the mobility of the PB block in solution. For SB diblock copolymers,a pure PB surface layer was formed only when the film was cast by dilute toluene solution. With increasing concentration of casting solution,PB and PS components were found to coexist on the film surface, and the morphology of the PB component on the film surface changed from cylindrical rods to spheres. For SBS triblock copolymers,a small amount of PS component existed on the surface even if the film was cast by 1.0 wt% toluene solution. In addition,PS components at the outermost layer of the film increased and the length of PB cylindrical rods on the surface decreased with increasing concentration of casting solution. | YAN ZhuoHua ZHANG RongPing ZHAO YuRong ZUO Biao ZHENG FanFan CHEN TianYu WANG XinPing SHEN ZhiQuan | 2012 | Science China Chemistry2012,55,7: | 1
The chromatin remodeling complex imitation of switch controls stamen filament elongation by promoting jasmonic acid biosynthesis in Arabidopsis显示文摘Plant reproduction requires the coordinated development of both male and female reproductive organs.Jasmonic acid(JA)plays an essential role in stamen filament elongation. However, the mechanism by which the JA biosynthesis genes are regulated to promote stamen elongation remains unclear. Here,we show that the chromatin remodeling complex Imitation of Switch(ISWI)promotes stamen filament elongation by regulating JA biosynthesis. We show that AT-Rich Interacting Domain 5(ARID5)interacts with CHR11,CHR17,and RLT1,several known subunits of ISWI.Mutations in ARID5 and RLTs caused a reduced seed set due to greatly shortened stamen filaments.RNA-seq analyses reveal that the expression of key genes responsible for JA biosynthesis is significantly down-regulated in the arid5 and rlt mutants.Consistently, the JA levels are drastically decreased in both arid5 and rlt mutants.Chromatin immunoprecipitationquantitative PCR analyses further show that ARID5 is recruited to the chromatin of JA biosynthesis genes.Importantly, exogenous JA treatments can fully rescue the defects of stamen filament elongation in both arid5 and rlt mutants, leading to the partial recovery of fertility. Our results provide a clue how JA biosynthesisis positively regulated by the chromatin remodeling complex ISWI,thereby promoting stamen filament elongation in Arabidopsis. | Youshang Zhao Ting Jiang Lei Li Xiaotuo Zhang Tianyu Yang Cuimei Liu Jinfang Chu Binglian Zheng | 2021 | Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,2: | 1
