2Correlation between tongue manifestations and glucose, total cholesterol, and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol in patients with acute cerebral infarction显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To analyze the association between tongue manifestations and the levels of glucose (GLU), total cholesterol(TCH), and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C) in subjects with acute cerebral infarction.METHODS: Hospitalized patients with first unilateral cerebral infarction in the Neurological Department of Xuanwu Hospital were included and the correlation between tongue fur color, fur nature,and the levels of GLU,TCH, HDL-C were analyzed.RESULTS: HDL level in the thin fur group was higher than that in the thick fur group(P=0.02). The difference in the levels of GLU,TCH, and HDL-C among the groups was significant(P<0.05), classified in terms of slippery, moist, and dry fur. Further comparison between the groups by Student-Newman-Keuls test showed that GLU level in the dry fur group was the highest. 5Photodegradation of methyl orange by BiOI-sensitized TiO_2显示文摘BiOI-sensitized titanium dioxide (TiO2) photocatalysts were prepared by a deposition method at room temperature and characterized by X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller surface area measurements. The photocatalytic activities of the catalysts were evaluated for the degradation of methyl orange (MO) solution under UV and visible light irradiation. The effects of catalyst amount, initial pH value, initial concentration of MO, as well as KI amount were investigated. The repeatability of photocatalytic activity of the 1.7% BiOI/TiO2 catalyst was also tested. It is shown that BiOI sensitization enhances the photocatalytic activities of TiO2. With BiOI content increasing, the photocatalytic activities of BiOI/TiO2 under UV and visible light irradiation first increase, reaching a maximum around BiOI content of 1.7%, and then decrease with further increasing BiOI content. The 1.7% BiOI/TiO2 catalyst obviously exhibits much higher visible light photocatalytic activity than P25, and its UV light photocatalytic activity is slightly higher than that of P25. Under the conditions of a catalytic dose of 1.5 g.L-1, initial pH of 3.0, initial MO concentration of 20 mg.L-1, UV power of 300 W, and air flow rate of 0.8 L.min-1, complete degradatio is achieved within 60 min. 6An Adaptive Obstacle Avoidance Algorithm for Unmanned Surface Vehicle in Complicated Marine Environments显示文摘Unmanned surface vehicles(USVs) are important autonomous marine robots that have been studied and gradually applied into practice. However, the autonomous navigation of USVs, especially the issue of obstacle avoidance in complicated marine environment, is still a fundamental problem. After studying the characteristics of the complicated marine environment, we propose a novel adaptive obstacle avoidance algorithm for USVs,based on the Sarsa on-policy reinforcement learning algorithm.The proposed algorithm is composed of local avoidance module and adaptive learning module, which are organized by the “divide and conquer” strategy-based architecture. The course angle compensation strategy is proposed to offset the disturbances from sea wind and currents. In the design of payoff value function of the learning strategy, the course deviation angle and its tendency are introduced into action rewards and penalty policies. The validity of the proposed algorithm is verified by comparative experiments of simulations and sea trials in three sea-state marine environments. 7Regulatory effects of stage-treatment with established Chinese herbal formulas on inflammatory mediators in pediatric asthma显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To explore the regulatory effects of established Chinese herbal formulas on inflammatory mediators released during asthma attacks, and to elucidate the molecular mechanism of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the treatment of asthma. METHODS: Seventy-five asthmatic children were randomly divided into a Chinese medication group(45 cases) and a Western medication control group(30 cases). Patients in the Chinese medication group were treated with a series of established Chinese herbal formulas, whereas the Western medication control group received a leukotriene receptor antagonist and a bronchial relaxant. Real-time PCR was used to determine the mRNA expression levels of interleukin(IL)-4, cysteinyl leukotriene receptor 1(CysLTR1), and interferon(IFN)-γ in peripheral blood mononuclear cells before and after treatment. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to measure the peripheral blood levels of IL-4, leukotriene(LTE)-4, and INF-γ before and after treatment. RESULTS: After treatment, the mRNA expression levels of IL-4 and CysLTR1 were down-regulated(P< 0.01) and the mRNA expression levels of IFN-γ were up-regulated(P<0.05) in the Chinese medication and Western medication groups; no significant difference was found between the two groups. In the Chinese medication group, IL-4 blood level was decreased and it was significantly different from that in the Western medication group(P<0.05); there was also a significant increase in IFN-γ blood levels after treatment with Chinese medication(P<0.05). There were no significant differences in LTE-4 blood levels between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05). 8Prescriptions from Traditional Chinese Medicine compared with salbutamol and montelukast for the treatment of pediatric asthma: a randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To compare the effects of a series of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) empirical prescriptions with salbutamol and montelukast(SM) in children with asthma.METHODS: A total of 182 children with asthma were randomized into the TCM group(n = 97) or SM group(n = 85). Patients in the TCM group were treated with a series of TCM prescriptions, whereas those in the SM group received salbutamol and montelukast; both groups received their respective treatment for 12 weeks. Asthma control, changes in scores of TCM symptom patterns, and asthma symptom control(SC) scores after treatment were compared between the two groups.RESULTS: A higher percentage of patients in the TCM group had asthma control compared withthose in the SM group(91.67% and 76.83%, respectively, P = 0.006). Scores for abnormal feces(P <0.001), hyperhidrosis(P < 0.001), and tongue appearance(P = 0.001) in the TCM group were significantly better than those in the SM group. 9Surgical Management of Retinal Detachment Resulting from Macular Hole in a Setting of High Myopia显示文摘Purpose:To evaluate the anatomical and visual outcomes of pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) with internal limiting membrane (ILM).peeling and use of retinal tamponade for retinal detachments resulting from macular hole (MHRD) in highly myopic eyes. Methods:.Twenty-nine highly myopic patients.(29 eyes) underwent PPV with ILM peeling and retinal tamponade for MHRD were enrolled. Demographics and best-corrected visual acuity.(BCVA).were measured preoperatively and at final follow-up. Anatomical success and macular hole closure were analyzed. Results:.Patients' mean age of patients was 58.7±10.6 years, mean follow-up was 11.7±7.4 months. Twenty three eyes (23/26,88.5%)undergoing primary PPV combined with ILM peeling had successful initial retinal reattachment, including 19 eyes (19/19, 100%) with silicone oil tamponade and in 4 eyes (4/7,57.1%).with sulfur hexafluoride.(C3F8).tamponade. Overall anatomical success was achieved in 27 eyes (27/29, 93.1%)..The macular hole closure was observed in 17 eyes (17/26, 65.4%) with final anatomical success. Compared to preoperative BCVA,.the mean postoperative BCVA in the eyes with anatomical success was significantly improved (P = 0.007, Wilcoxon signed rank test). 12Injectable dual glucose-responsive hydrogel-micelle composite for mimicking physiological basal and prandial insulin delivery显示文摘For type 1 and advanced type 2 diabetic patients, insulin replacement therapy with simulating on-demand prandial and basal insulin secretion is the best option for optimal glycemic control. However, there is no insulin delivery system yet could mimic both controlled basal insulin release and rapid prandial insulin release in response to real-time blood glucose changes. Here we reported an artificial insulin delivery system, mimicking physiological basal and prandial insulin secretion, to achieve real-time glycemic control and reduce risk of hypoglycemia. A phenylboronic acid(PBA)/galactosyl-based glucose-responsive insulin delivery system was prepared with insulin-loaded micelles embedded in hydrogel matrix. At the hyperglycemic state, both the hydrogel and micelles could swell and achieve rapid glucose-responsive release of insulin, mimicking prandial insulin secretion.When the glucose level returned to the normal state, only the micelles partially responded to glucose and still released insulin gradually. The hydrogel with increased crosslinking density could slow down the diffusion speed of insulin inside, resulting in controlled release of insulin and simulating physiological basal insulin secretion. This hydrogel-micelle composite insulin delivery system could quickly reduce the blood glucose level in a mouse model of type 1 diabetes, and maintain normal blood glucose level without hypoglycemia for about 24 h. 14Reduced function and disassembled microtubules of cultured cardiomyocytes in spaceflight显示文摘Lack of gravity during spaceflight has profound effects on cardiovascular system, but little is known about how the cardiomyocytes respond to microgravity. In the present study, the effects of spaceflight on the structure and function of cultured cardiomyocytes were reported. The primary cultures of neo- natal rat cardiomyocytes were carried on Shenzhou-6 spacecraft and activated at 4 h in orbit. 8 samples were fixed respectively at 4, 48 and 96 h after launching for immunofluorescence of cytoskeleton, and 2 samples remained unfixed to analyze contractile and secretory functions of the cultures. Ground sam- ples were treated in our laboratory in parallel. After 115 h spaceflight, video recordings displayed that the number of spontaneous beating sites in flown samples decreased significantly, and the cells in the beating aggregate contracted in fast frequency without synchrony. Radioimmunoassay of the medium showed that the atrial natriuretic peptide secreted from flown cells reduced by 59.6%. Confocal images demonstrated the time-dependant disassembly of mirotubules versus unchanged distribution and or- ganization of microfilaments. 15Integrated generation–consumption dispatch based on compensation mechanism considering demand response behavior显示文摘Demand response(DR) is important to account for behaviors of the demand side to yield an optimal dispatch result. However, it is difficult for energy suppliers to collect customers' private information unless there is an incentive mechanism for customers to do so. Therefore,this paper proposes a new integrated generation–consumption dispatch based on compensation mechanism considering DR behavior. Firstly, in light of the dayahead load forecast data, we deduce the utility function model of different customers. By subtracting generating units' operation cost from consumers' total utility, the dispatch model has a decentralized demand participant structure based on this utility function. The utility function is used to describe consumers' preferences and energy consumption behaviors. Secondly, an effective compensation mechanism is designed to ensure customers to select the level of compensation appropriate to their willingness to curtail load. Finally, a new dispatch model is proposed that incorporates the DR compensation mechanism into the generation–consumption dispatch model. The new model can improve the interaction of generation and consumption,and benefit both the energy supplier and its customers. The proposed model is piecewise linearized and solved by a mixed-integer linear programming method. It is tested on a six-bus system and the IEEE 118-bus system. 16Effectiveness of flesh-moistening paste in psoriasis vulgaris patients with symptom pattern of blood stasis:a randomized and parallel-controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of flesh-moistening paste for treating psoriasis vulgaris in patients with blood stasis pattern in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM).METHODS:Eudipleural rashes on both the left and right side of the same patients with psoriasis vulgaris,diagnosed via TCM as blood stasis pattern,were selected as the targeted skin lesions.A randomized,double-blind,parallel-controlled,multicenter controlled trial was conducted.The targeted skin lesions were categorized into either the treatment or control group.The treatment group used the flesh-moistening paste;the control group used a placebo.Both the paste and the placebo were topically applied twice daily for eight weeks.The patients were examined biweekly to evaluate the effects.The two groups were compared in terms of the psoriasis area and severity index(PASI)of the targeted skin lesions,which is scored according to erythema,desquamation,infiltration,area,pruritus,and improvement of skin barrier function.Adverse events were recorded during the study period.SPSS 21.0 was used to analyze the data.RESULTS:Fifty-six patients were enrolled between February 2016 and October 2017.Two were complicated by cardio-cerebrovascular disease and were excluded;thus,54 outpatients were finally enrolled in the study.Four dropped out during the study period:three failed to complete their follow-up visits for unknown reasons,and one exited due to an adverse event.The final trial comprised 50 of the 56 originally selected patients,with a 92.6%completion rate.After 8 weeks of treatment,the targeted skin lesion scores differed significantly(P<0.05).The PASI scores of the targeted skin lesions differed significantly beginning at week 6(P<0.05).The treatment group presented better results than those of the control group.Only one patient had an adverse reaction associated with the treatment.Improvements in skin barrier function differed significantly(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The flesh-moistening paste demonstrated a reliable curative effect and safety for treating psoriasis vulgaris in patients with blood stasis patterns.The topical paste improved the barrier function of the skin lesions.Guo Xinwei Lang Na Li Guanru Li Ping Qu Jianhua Zhou Dongmei Wang Ping Cang Zhang Deng BingXu Lou Weihai Xu Jingna Lan Haibing Liu Yumin Zhang Weishu Sun Liyun 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,6:4

19All-dielectric three-element transmissive Huygens’ metasurface performing anomalous refraction显示文摘Metasurfaces have pioneered a new avenue for advanced wave-front engineering.Among the various types of metasurfaces,Huygens'metasurfaces are thought to be a novel paradigm for flat optical devices.Enabled by spectrally overlapped electric resonance and magnetic resonance,Huygens'metasurfaces are imparted with high transmission and full phase coverage of 2π,which makes them capable of realizing high-efficiency wave-front control.However,a defect of Huygens'metasurfaces is that their phase profiles and transmissive responses are often sensitive to the interaction of neighboring Huygens'elements.Consequently,the original assigned phase distribution can be distorted.In this work,we present our design strategy of transmissive Huygens'metasurfaces performing anomalous refraction.We illustrate the investigation of Huygens'elements,realizing the overlapping between an electric dipole and magnetic dipole resonance based on cross-shaped structures.We find that the traditional discrete equidistant-phase design method is not enough to realize a transmissive Huygens'surface due to the interaction between neighboring Huygens'elements.Therefore,we introduce an extra optimization process on the element spacing to palliate the phase distortion resulting from the element interaction.Based on this method,we successfully design unequally spaced three-element transmissive metasurfaces exhibiting anomalous refraction effect.The anomalous refractive angle of the designed Huygens'metasurface is 30°,which exceeds the angles of most present transmissive Huygens'metasurfaces.A transmissive efficiency of 83.5%is numerically derived at the operating wavelength.The far-field electric distribution shows that about 93%of transmissive light is directed along the 30°refractive direction.The deflection angle can be tuned by adjusting the number of Huygens'elements in one metasurface unit cell.The design strategies used in this paper can be inspiring for other functional Huygens'metasurface schemes.CHANG LIU LEI CHEN TIESHENG WU YUMIN LIU JING LI YU WANG ZHONGYUAN YU HAN YE LI YU 2019Photonics Research2019,7,12:3
20Two‑Dimensional Metal Halides for X‑Ray Detection Applications显示文摘Metal halide perovskites have recently emerged as promising candidates for the next generation of X-ray detectors due to their excellent optoelectronic properties.Especially,two-dimensional(2D)perovskites afford many distinct properties,including remarkable structural diversity,high generation energy,and balanced large exciton binding energy.With the advantages of 2D materials and perovskites,it successfully reduces the decomposition and phase transition of perovskite and effectively suppresses ion migration.Meanwhile,the existence of a high hydrophobic spacer can block water molecules,thus making 2D perovskite obtain excellent stability.All of these advantages have attracted much attention in the field of X-ray detection.This review introduces the classification of 2D halide perovskites,summarizes the synthesis technology and performance characteristics of 2D perovskite X-ray direct detector,and briefly discusses the application of 2D perovskite in scintillators.Finally,this review also emphasizes the key challenges faced by 2D perovskite X-ray detectors in practical application and presents our views on its future development.Yumin Li Yutian Lei Haoxu Wang Zhiwen Jin 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,8:3
