12018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). 5Plasmacytoid dendritic cells promote acute kidney injury by producing interferon-α显示文摘Acute kidney injury(AKI)is a common clinical complication associated with high mortality in patients.Immune cells and cytokines have recently been described to play essential roles in AKI pathogenesis.Plasmacytoid dendritic cells(pDCs)are a unique DC subset that specializes in type Ⅰ interferon(IFN)production.Here,we showed that pDCs rapidly infiltrated the kidney in response to AKI and contributed to kidney damage by producing IFN-α.Deletion of pDCs using DTR^(BDCA2) transgenic(Tg)mice suppressed cisplatin-induced AKI,accompanied by marked reductions in proinflammatory cytokine production,immune cell infiltration and apoptosis in the kidney.In contrast,adoptive transfer of pDCs during AKI exacerbated kidney damage.We further identified IFN-α as the key factor that mediated the functions of pDCs during AKI,as IFN-α neutralization significantly attenuated kidney injury.Furthermore,IFN-α produced by pDCs directly induced the apoptosis of renal tubular epithelial cells(TECs)in vitro.In addition,our data demonstrated that apoptotic TECs induced the activation of pDCs,which was inhibited in the presence of an apoptosis inhibitor.Furthermore,similar deleterious effects of pDCs were observed in an ischemia reperfusion(IR)-induced AKI model.Clinically,increased expression of IFN-α in kidney biopsies was observed in kidney transplants with AKI.Taken together,the results of our study reveal that pDCs play a detrimental role in AKI via IFN-α.Bo Deng Yuli Lin Yusheng Chen Shuai Ma Qian Cai Wenji Wang Bingji Li Tingyan Liu Peihui Zhou Rui He Feng Ding 2021Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,1:1

10Effect of Methane Emission Increases in East Asia on Atmospheric Circulation and Ozone显示文摘We used a fully coupled chemistry–climate model(version 3 of the Whole Atmosphere Community Climate Model,WACCM3) to investigate the effect of methane(CH4) emission increases,especially in East Asia and North America,on atmospheric temperature,circulation and ozone(O3). We show that CH4 emission increases strengthen westerly winds in the Northern Hemisphere midlatitudes,accelerate the Brewer–Dobson(BD) circulation,and cause an increase in the mass flux across the tropopause. However,the BD circulation in the tropics between 10?S and 10?N at 100 h Pa weakens as CH4 emissions increase in East Asia and strengthens when CH4 emissions increase in North America. When CH4 emissions are increased by 50% in East Asia and 15% globally,the stratospheric temperature cools by up to 0.15 K,and the stratospheric O3 increases by 45 ppbv and 60 ppbv,respectively. A 50% increase of CH4 emissions in North America(with an amplitude of stratospheric O3 increases by 60 ppbv) has a greater influence on the stratospheric O3 than the same CH4 emissions increase in East Asia. CH4 emission increases in East Asia and North America reduce the concentration of tropospheric hydroxyl radicals(4% and 2%,respectively) and increase the concentration of mid-tropospheric O3(5% and 4%,respectively) in the Northern Hemisphere midlatitudes. When CH4 emissions increase in East Asia,the increase in the tropospheric O3 concentration is largest in August. 13A novel blue-purple Ce^(3+) doped whitlockite phosphor:Synthesis,crystal structure,and photoluminescence properties显示文摘At present,the rare earth(RE) ions doped phosphors have attracted more and more attention because of their excellent properties.In this paper,a series of novel blue-purple β-Ca_(3)(PO_(4))_(2):Ce^(3+) phosphors were synthesized by a high temperature solid phase method.The X-ray diffraction(XRD),infrared spectrum,energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra were used to investigate the crystal structure,composition and the luminescent properties of the resulting samples.The phosphor shows a strong absorption in the ultraviolet band.Under the excitation of 269 nm,the phosphor emits a strong purple fluorescence ranging from 360 to 520 nm.When Ce^(3+) doping content is 0.07 mol,the strongest luminescence intensity is reached,and the concentration quenching mechanism is dipole-dipole(d-d)interaction for Ce^(3+) based on Dexter theory.Yuli Yuan Haoran Lin Jing'ao Cao Qingfeng Guo Fei Xu Libing Liao Lefu Mei 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,6:1

15Deep learning quantified mucus-tumor ratio predicting survival of patients with colorectal cancer using whole-slide images显示文摘Background:In colorectal cancer(CRC),mucinous adenocarcinoma differs from other adenocarcinomas in gene-phenotype,morphology,and prognosis.However,mucinous components are present in a large number of adenocarcinomas,and the prognostic value of mucus proportion has not been investigated.Artificial intelligence provides a way to quantify mucus proportion on whole-slide images(WSIs)accurately.We aimed to quantify mucus proportion by deep learning and further investigate its prognostic value in two CRC patient cohorts.Methods:Deep learning was used to segment WSIs stained with hematoxylin and eosin.Mucus-tumor ratio(MTR)was defined as the proportion of mucinous component in the tumor area.A training cohort(N=419)and a validation cohort(N=315)were used to evaluate the prognostic value of MTR.Survival analysis was performed using the Cox proportional hazard model.Result:Patients were stratified tomucus-low andmucus-high groups,with 24.1%as the threshold.In the training cohort,patients with mucus-high had unfavorable outcomes(hazard ratio for high vs.low 1.88,95%confidence interval 1.18–2.99,P=0.008),with 5-year overall survival rates of 54.8%and 73.7%in mucus-high and mucus-lowgroups,respectively.The resultswere confirmed in the validation cohort(2.09,1.21–3.60,0.008;62.8%vs.79.8%).The prognostic value of MTR was maintained in multivariate analysis for both cohorts.Conclusion:The deep learning quantified MTR was an independent prognostic factor in CRC.With the advantages of advanced efficiency and high consistency,our method is suitable for clinical application and promotes precision medicine development.Ke Zhao Lin Wu Yanqi Huang Su Yao Zeyan Xu Huan Lin Huihui Wang Yanting Liang Yao Xu Xin Chen Minning Zhao Jiaming Peng Yuli Huang Changhong Liang Zhenhui Li Yong Li Zaiyi Liu 2021Precision Clinical Medicine2021,4,1:0
16Mutation analysis of 13 driver genes of colorectalcancer-related pathways in Taiwan Residents patients显示文摘AIM To investigate the driver gene mutations associatedwith colorectal cancer (CRC) in the Taiwan Residentspopulation.METHODS: In this study, 103 patients with CRCwere evaluated. The samples consisted of 66 menand 37 women with a median age of 59 years and anage range of 26-86 years. We used high-resolutionmelting analysis (HRM) and direct DNA sequencing tocharacterize the mutations in 13 driver genes of CRCrelatedpathways. The HRM assays were conductedusing the LightCycler? 480 Instrument provided with the software LightCycler 480 Gene Scanning SoftwareVersion 1.5. We also compared the clinicopathologicaldata of CRC patients with the driver gene mutationstatus.RESULTS: Of the 103 patients evaluated, 73.79%had mutations in one of the 13 driver genes. Wediscovered 18 novel mutations in APC , MLH1 , MSH2 ,PMS2 , SMAD4 and TP53 that have not been previouslyreported. Additionally, we found 16 de novo mutationsin APC , BMPR1A , MLH1 , MSH2 , MSH6 , MUTYH andPMS2 in cancerous tissues previously reported in thedbSNP database; however, these mutations couldnot be detected in peripheral blood cells. The APCmutation correlates with lymph node metastasis(34.69% vs 12.96%, P = 0.009) and cancer stage(34.78% vs 14.04%, P = 0.013). No association wasobserved between other driver gene mutations andclinicopathological features. 17Two-stage stochastic programming with robust constraints for the logistics network post-disruption response strategy optimization显示文摘Logistics networks (LNs) are essential for the transportation and distribution of goods or services from suppliers to consumers. However, LNs with complex structures are more vulnerable to disruptions due to natural disasters and accidents. To address the LN post-disruption response strategy optimization problem, this study proposes a novel two-stage stochastic programming model with robust delivery time constraints. The proposed model jointly optimizes the new-line-opening and rerouting decisions in the face of uncertain transport demands and transportation times. To enhance the robustness of the response strategy obtained, the conditional value at risk (CVaR) criterion is utilized to reduce the operational risk, and robust constraints based on the scenario-based uncertainty sets are proposed to guarantee the delivery time requirement. An equivalent tractable mixed-integer linear programming reformulation is further derived by linearizing the CVaR objective function and dualizing the infinite number of robust constraints into finite ones. A case study based on the practical operations of the JD LN is conducted to validate the practical significance of the proposed model. 18UM15 reinforces a lymphocyte-mimicking nanotrap for precise HIV-1 inhibition显示文摘Even the potential of T cell-mimicking nanotrap for long term viral control due to its overcoming of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)genetic diversity and viral resistance,the robust HIV inhibition was not expected because these nanotraps displayed no obvious advantages compared with the infinite host cells.Herein,a glycoprotein 120(gp120)-targeting polypeptide UM15 reinforced lymphocyte-mimicking nanotrap was constructed,and its improved HIV-1 inhibiting efficacy was validated.According to the results,the constructed nanotraps exhibited evident escaping ability from uptake of the mononuclear phagocyte system and highly improved binding ability with gp120 proteins.The constructed nanotraps neutralized all tested HIV-1 pseudo typed viruses with IC80 of 21.0μg/mL,and inhibited both X4-tropic and R5-tropic HIV-1 with IC80 of 34.4 and 20.6μg/mL,respectively.Approximately 40%of gp120 was observed to be shed from pseudo virus,and above 40%bystander T cells were prevented from gp120-induced death by the constructed nanotraps.The safety of the constructed nanotraps was confirmed both in vitro and in mice.Therefore,the constructed nanotraps could specifically neutralize free HIV-1,selectively bind with gp120 expressing HIV-1 infected cells,cause gp120 shedding,inhibit gp120-induced bystander T cell killing on the premise of safety,and were considered as promising therapeutic agents for precise inhibition of HIV.Jinbang Zhang Zhengyang Li Jiaxin Li Hui Li Junwei Che Te Zhao Pengfei Zou Jingwan Han Yang Yang Meiyan Yang Yuli Wang Wei Gong Haihua Xiao Zhiping Li Lin Li Chunsheng Gao 2023Nano Research2023,16,7:0
19Boosting Li-ion storage in Li2MnO_(3) by unequal-valent Ti4+-substitution and interlayer Li vacancies building显示文摘Lithium rich layered oxide(LRLO) has been considered as one of the promising cathodes for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs). The high voltage and large capacity of LRLO depend on Li2MnO_(3)phase. To ameliorate the electrochemical performance of Li2MnO_(3), also written as Li(Li1/3Mn2/3)O_(2), we propose a strategy to substitute Mn4+and Li+in Mn/Li transition metal layer with Ti4+, which can stabilize the structure of Li2MnO_(3)by inhibiting the excessive oxidation of O_(2)-above 4.5 V. More significantly, the unequal-valent substitution brings about the emergence of interlayer Li vacancies, which can promote the Li-ion diffusion based on the enlarged interlayer and increase the capacity by activating the Mn3+/4+redox. We designed Li0.7[Li1/3Mn2/3]0.7Ti0.3O_(2)with high interlayer Li vacancies, which presents a high capacity(290 m Ah/g at 10 m A/g) and stable cycling performance(84% over 60 cycles at 50 m A/g).
