| 1 | A cellular automata evacuation model considering friction and repulsion显示文摘There exist interactions among pedestrians and between pedestrian and environment in evacuation. These interactions include attraction, repulsion and friction that play key roles in human evacuation behaviors, speed and efficiency. Most former evacuation models focus on the attraction force, while repulsion and friction are not well modeled. As a kind of multi-particle self-driven model, the social force model introduced in recent years can represent those three forces but with low simulation efficiency because it is a continuous model with complex rules. Discrete models such as the cellular automata model and the lattice gas model have simple rules and high simulation efficiency, but are not quite suitable for interactions’ simulation. In this paper, a new cellular automata model based on traditional models is introduced in which repulsion and friction are modeled quantitatively. | 2 | Effect of dietary interventions on the intestinal microbiota of Mongolian hosts显示文摘The gut microbiota of Mongolian hosts has distinctive characteristics due to their meat- and dairyoriented daily diets and unique genotype.The aim of the present study was to investigate the effect of switching from the typical high protein and fat Mongolian diets to carbohydrate-rich meals composed principally of wheat,rice and naked oats on the host gut microbiota within 3 weeks.Our study took the advantage of the long sequence reads produced by the Pac Bio single molecule real-time sequencing technology to enable the profiling of subjects' gut microbiota communities along the diet intervention to the species precision.We found that the bacterial richness and diversity decreased apparently along the diet intervention.During the diet intervention,the gut microbiota composition displayed no significant difference at phylum level(with major phyla of Firmicutes,Bacteroidetes,Tenericutes and Proteobacteria).The relative abundances of some genera such as Bacteroidetes,Faecalibacterium,Roseburia,Alistipes,Streptococcus,and Oscillospira were significantly altered after the diet switching started.Notably,significant changes were also observed in the proportions of the species Bacteroides dorei,Bacteroides fragilis,Bacteroides thetaiotaomicron,Ruminococcus albus,Ruminococcus faecis,Roseburia faecis and Eubacterium ventriosum.These results have demonstrated that diet and host gut microbiota is closely linked. | Jing Li Haiyan Xu Zhihong Sun Qiangchuan Hou Lai-Yu Kwok Wuri Laga Yanjie Wang Huimin Ma Zhongjie Yu Bilige Menghe Heping Zhang | 2016 | Science Bulletin2016,61,20: | 14 |
| 3 | Quantitative computed tomography analysis for stratifying the severity of Coronavirus Disease 2019显示文摘To examine the feasibility of using a computer tool for stratifying the severity of Coronavirus Disease 2019(COVID-19)based on computed tomography(CT)images.We retrospectively examined 44 confirmed COVID-19 cases.All cases were evaluated separately by radiologists(visually)and through an in-house computer software.The degree of lesions was visually scored by the radiologist,as follows,for each of the 5 lung lobes:0,no lesion present;1,<1/3 involvement;2,>1/3 and<2/3 involvement;and 3,>2/3 involvement.Lesion density was assessed based on the proportion of ground-glass opacity(GGO),consolidation and fibrosis of the lesions.The parameters obtained using the computer tool included lung volume(mL),lesion volume(mL),lesion percentage(%),and mean lesion density(HU)of the whole lung,right lung,left lung,and each lobe.The scores obtained by the radiologists and quantitative results generated by the computer software were tested for correlation.A Chi-square test was used to test the consistency of radiologist-and computer-derived lesion percentage in the right/left lung,upper/lower lobe,and each of the 5 lobes.The results showed a strong to moderate correlation between lesion percentage scores obtained by radiologists and the computer software(r ranged from 0.7679 to 0.8373,P<0.05),and a moderate correlation between the proportion of GGO and mean lesion density(r=-0.5894,P<0.05),and proportion of consolidation and mean lesion density(r=0.6282,P<0.05).Computer-aided quantification showed a statistical significant higher lesion percentage for lower lobes than that assessed by the radiologists(x^2=8.160,P=0.004).Our experiments demonstrated that the computer tool could reliably and accurately assess the severity and distribution of pneumonia on CT scans. | Cong Shen Nan Yu Shubo Cai Jie Zhou Jiexin Sheng Kang Liu Heping Zhou Youmin Guo Gang Niu | 2020 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2020,10,2: | 13 |

| 5 | Numerical simulations of land surface physical processes and land-atmosphere interactions over oasis-desert/Gobi region显示文摘A land-surface physical process model was coupled with a mesoscale atmospheric model. This cou- pled model was then used to simulate the interactions between land and the atmosphere, including surface temperature, net radiation, sensible heat flux and latent heat flux over a desert/Gobi with an oasis in northwestern semiarid regions in China. Comparisons between observations and simulations were made over the oasis and the desert/Gobi, respectively. Both cold island effect and wet island ef- fect, the so-called oasis effect, were observed and simulated. Lower temperature, higher specific hu- midity and weaker turbulent transfer were present over the oasis than the desert/Gobi. | 9 | Three-dimensional temperature reconstruction of diffusion flame from the light-field convolution imaging by the focused plenoptic camera显示文摘The plenoptic imaging technique provides a promising approach to the non-invasive three-dimensional measurement, especially for the high-temperature combustion diagnosis. We establish a light-field convolution imaging model for diffusion flame in this work, considering the radiation transfer process inside the diffusion flame and the light transfer process inside the focused plenoptic camera together. The radiation transfer process is described by the radiation transfer equation and solved by the generalized source multi-flux method. Wave optics theory is adopted to describe the light transfer process, combining Fresnel diffraction and the phase conversion of the lens. The flame light-field image is obtained by the light-field convolution imaging model and adopted as the measurement signal to reconstruct three-dimensional temperature field. The inverse problem of temperature reconstruction is solved by the least square QR decomposition method. The simulative temperature reconstruction work is conducted, including the inverse analysis, the uncertainty analysis, and the measurement noise influence. All the results show that the proposed measurement method is available to reconstruct three-dimensional temperature with satisfactory accuracy and acceptable uncertainty. | 17 | Study on Ocular Torsion of V Patterns Strabismus显示文摘Purpose: To investigate the ocular torsion of V patterns.Methods:Twenty-two in hospital V patterns patients underwent bilateral inferior obliquemuscles myectomy for inferior oblique overacting and hortizon recti underwent recessresection procedure to correct hortizon devation. Objective cycloposition was assessed by fundus photograph before and 7 days after surgery in all cases. The photographs was stored in computer, and the disc-fovea angle was measured by means of drawing picture software. As well as the deviation, oblique muscle function was recorded before and after surgery.Result: Seventeen cases were bilateral ocular excyclotropia, 4 cases were monocular excyclotropia and one case was normal.The disc-fovea angle of right eyes and left eyes before operation is 15.67°+5.72° and 16.59°+6.69°.The comparisons among V patterns and normal average showed significant differences ( P < 0.001). The disc-fovea angle of right eyes and left eyes after operation is 5.24°+5.87° and 7.17°+5.40°. | 20 | FERONIA is involved in phototropin 1-mediated blue light phototropic growth in Arabidopsis显示文摘Plant shoot phototropism is triggered by the formation of a light-driven auxin gradient leading to bending growth.The blue light receptor phototropin 1(phot1)senses light direction,but how this leads to auxin gradient formation and growth regulation remains poorly understood.Previous studies have suggested phot1’s role for regulated apoplastic acidification,but its relation to phototropin and hypocotyl phototropism is unclear.Herein,we show that blue light can cause phot1 to interact with and phosphorylate FERONIA(FER),a known cell growth regulator,and trigger downstream phototropic bending growth in Arabidopsis hypocotyls.fer mutants showed defects in phototropic growth,similar to phot1/2 mutant.FER also interacts with and phosphorylates phytochrome kinase substrates,the phot1 downstream substrates.The phot1-FER pathway acts upstream of apoplastic acidification and the auxin gradient formation in hypocotyl under lateral blue light,both of which are critical for phototropic bending growth in hypocotyls.Our study highlights a pivotal role of FER in the phot1-mediated phototropic cell growth regulation in plants. | Chiyu Li Jia Chen Xiaoyan Li Xin Zhang Ying Liu Sirui Zhu Long Wang Heping Zheng Sheng Luan Jiada Li Feng Yu | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,10: | 1 |
