1The changing regional distribution of grain production in China in the 21st century显示文摘This paper examines the changing regional distribution of grain production in China. Based on the analysis of data from county statistics for the period 2000–2003, major differences in the main grain-output regions in China can be observed. The main grain-producing areas have shifted from the south to the north of China. New grain production regions have been also added to western China since the late 1990s. The per capita grain consumption in one third of China’s main grain-producing counties has fallen below 400 kg; most of these areas are located in southern China. In the new millennium, Northeast China, the central-south North China, and the arid and semi-arid regions of Northwest China produced three quarters of the surplus grains. Most of these areas are located in regions susceptible to environmental change. The amount of grain production in these regions shows high fluctuations. 3Discovery and demonstration of small circular DNA molecules derived from Chinese tomato yellow leaf curl virus显示文摘Tomato yellow leaf curl viruses belong to Begomoviruses of geminiviruses. In this work, we first found and demonstrated that the small circular DNA molecules were derived from Chinese tomato yellow leaf curl viruses (TYLCV-CHI). These small circular DNA molecules are about 1.3 kb, which are half the full-length of TYLCV-CHI DNA A. It was shown by sequence determination and analysis that there was unknown-origin sequence insertion in the middle of the small molecules. These sequences of unknown-origin were neither homologous to DNA A nor to DNA B, and were formed by recombination of virus DNA and plant DNA. Although various defective molecules contained different unknown-origin sequence insertion, all the molecules contained the intergenic region and part of the AC1 (Rep) gene. 4Multi-task MIML learning for pre-course student performance prediction显示文摘In higher education,the initial studying period of each course plays a crucial role for students,and seriously influences the subsequent learning activities.However,given the large size of a course’s students at universities,it has become impossible for teachers to keep track of the performance of individual students.In this circumstance,an academic early warning system is desirable,which automatically detects students with difficulties in learning(i.e.,at-risk students)prior to a course starting.However,previous studies are not well suited to this purpose for two reasons:1)they have mainly concentrated on e-learning platforms,e.g.,massive open online courses(MOOCs),and relied on the data about students’online activities,which is hardly accessed in traditional teaching scenarios;and 2)they have only made performance prediction when a course is in progress or even close to the end.In this paper,for traditional classroom-teaching scenarios,we investigate the task of pre-course student performance prediction,which refers to detecting at-risk students for each course before its commencement.To better represent a student sample and utilize the correlations among courses,we cast the problem as a multi-instance multi-label(MIML)problem.Besides,given the problem of data scarcity,we propose a novel multi-task learning method,i.e.,MIML-Circle,to predict the performance of students from different specialties in a unified framework.Extensive experiments are conducted on five real-world datasets,and the results demonstrate the superiority of our approach over the state-of-the-art methods.Yuling Ma Chaoran Cui Jun Yu Jie Guo Gongping Yang Yilong Yin 2020Frontiers of Computer Science2020,14,5:1

9The commensal consortium of the gut microbiome is associated with favorable responses to anti-programmed death protein 1 (PD-1) therapy in thoracic neoplasms显示文摘Objective:Immune checkpoint inhibitors have revolutionized cancer therapy for multiple types of solid tumors,but as expected,a large percentage of patients do not show durable responses.Biomarkers that can predict clinical responses to immunotherapies at diagnosis are therefore urgently needed.Herein,we determined the associations between baseline gut commensal microbes and the clinical treatment efficiencies of patients with thoracic neoplasms during anti-programmed death protein 1(PD-1)therapy.Methods:Forty-two patients with advanced thoracic carcinoma who received anti-PD-1 treatment were enrolled in the study.Baseline and time-serial stool samples were analyzed using 16S ribosomal RNA gene sequencing.Tumor responses,patient progression-free survival,and overall survival were used to measure clinical outcomes.Results:The diversities of the baseline gut microbiota were similar between responders(n=23)and nonresponders(n=19).The relative abundances of the Akkermansiaceae,Enterococcaceae,Enterobacteriaceae,Carnobacteriaceae and Clostridiales Family XI bacterial families were significantly higher in the responder group.These 5 bacterial families acted as a commensal consortium and better stratified patients according to clinical responses(P=0.014).Patients with a higher abundance of commensal microbes had prolonged PFS(P=0.00016).Using multivariable analysis,the abundance of the commensal consortium was identified as an independent predictor of anti-PD-1 immunotherapy in thoracic neoplasms(hazard ratio:0.17;95%confidence interval:0.05–0.55;P=0.003).Conclusions:Baseline gut microbiota may have a critical impact on anti-PD-1 treatment in thoracic neoplasms.The abundance of gut commensal microbes at diagnosis might be useful for the early prediction of anti-PD-1 immunotherapy responses.Huihui Yin Lu Yang Gongxin Peng Ke Yang Yuling Mi Xingsheng Hu Xuezhi Hao Yuchen Jiao Xiaobing Wang Yan Wang 2021Cancer Biology & Medicine2021,18,4:0
10Tumor-targeting intravenous lipid emulsion of paclitaxel:Characteristics,stability,toxicity,and toxicokinetics显示文摘Lipid nanoemulsions are promising nanodrug delivery carriers that can improve the efficacy and safety of paclitaxel(PTX).However,no intravenous lipid emulsion of PTX has been approved for clinical treatment,and systemic safety profiles have not yet been reported.Here we outline the development of a PTXloaded tumor-targeting intravenous lipid emulsion(PTX Emul)and describe its characteristics,colloidal stability,and systemic safety profiles in terms of acute toxicity,long-term toxicity,and toxicokinetics.We also compare PTX Emul with conventional PTX injection.Results showed that PTX Emul exhibited an ideal average particle size(approximately 160 nm)with narrow size distribution and robust colloidal stability under different conditions.Hypersensitivity reaction and hemolysis tests revealed that PTX Emul did not induce hypersensitivity reactions and had no hemolytic potential.In addition,where the alleviated systemic toxicity of PTX Emul may be attributed to the altered toxicokinetic characteristics in beagle dogs,including the decreased AUC and increased plasma clearance and volume of distribution,PTX Emul alleviated acute and long-term toxicity as evidenced by the enhanced the median lethal dose and approximate lethal dose,moderate body weight change,decreased bone marrow suppression and organ toxicity compared with those under PTX injection at the same dose.A fundamental understanding of the systemic safety profiles,high tumor-targeting efficiency,and superior antitumor activity in vivo of PTX Emul can provide powerful evidence of its therapeutic potential as a future treatment for breast cancer.Jun Ye Lin Li Jiye Yin Hongliang Wang Renjie Li Yanfang Yang Yongbiao Guan Xuejun Xia Yuling Liu 2022Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2022,12,6:0

13Geology,Geochemistry,and Genesis of the Tongcun Reduced Porphyry Mo(Cu) Deposit,NW Zhejiang Province,China显示文摘The Tongcun Mo(Cu) deposit in Kaihua city of Zhejiang Province,eastern China,occurs in and adjacent to the Songjiazhuang granodiorite porphyry and is a medium-sized and important porphyry type ore deposit.Two irregular Mo(Cu) orebodies consist of various types of hydrothermal veinlets.Intensive hydrothermal alteration contains skarnization,chloritization,carbonatization,silicification and sericitization.Based on mineral assemblages and crosscutting relationships,the oreforming processes are divided into five stages,i.e.,the early stage of garnet + epidote ± chlorite associated with skarnization and K-feldspar + quartz ± molybdenite veins associated with potassicsilicic alteration,the quartz-sulfides stage of quartz + molybdenite ± chalcopyrite ± pyrite veins,the carbonatization stage of calcite veinlets or stockworks,the sericite + chalcopyrite ± pyrite stage,and the late calcite + quartz stage.Only the quartz-bearing samples in the early stage and in the quartzsulfides stage are suitable for fluid inclusions(FIs) study.Four types of FIs were observed,including1) CO_2-CH_4 single phase FIs,2) CO_2-bearing two- or three-phase FIs,3) Aqueous two-phase FIs,and4) Aqueous single phase FIs.FIs of the early stages are predominantly CO_2- and CH_4-rich FIs of the CO_2-CH4-H_2O-NaCl system,whereas minerals in the quartz-sulfides stage contain CO_2-rich FIs of the CO_2-H_2O-NaCl system and liquid-rich FIs of the H_2O-NaCl system.For the CO_2-CH_4 single phase FIs of the early mineralization stage,the homogenization temperatures of the CO_2 phase range from 15.4 ℃ to 25.3 ℃(to liquid),and the fluid density varies from 0.7 g/cm^3 to 0.8 g/cm^3;for two- or three-phase FIs of the CO_2-CH_4-H_2O-NaCl system,the homogenization temperatures,salinities and densities range from 312℃ to 412℃,7.7 wt%NaCl eqv.to 10.9 wt%NaCl eqv.,and 0.9 g/cm^3 to 1.0 g/cm^3,respectively.For CO_2-H_2O-NaCI two- or threephase FIs of the quartz-sulfides stage,the homogenization temperatures and salinities range from255℃ to 418℃,4.8 wt%NaCl eqv.to 12.4 wt%NaCl eqv.,respectively;for H_2O-NaCl two-phase FIs,the homogenization temperatures range from 230 ℃ to 368 ℃,salinities from 11.7 wt%NaCl eqv.to16.9 wt%NaCl eqv.,and densities from 0.7 g/cm^3 to 1.0 g/cm^3.Microthermometric measurements and Laser Raman spectroscopy analyses indicate that CO_2 and CH_4 contents and reducibility(indicated by the presence of CH_4) of the fluid inclusions trapped in quartz-sulfides stage minerals are lower than those in the early stage.Twelve molybdenite separates yield a Re-Os isochron age of 163 ± 2.4 Ma,which is consistent with the emplacement age of the Tongcun,Songjiazhuang,Dayutang and Huangbaikeng granodiorite porphyries.The TANG Yanwen LI Xiaofeng XIE Yuling HUANG Cheng WEI Hao CAI Jiali YIN Yifan QIN Chaojian LIU Rong 2015Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2015,89,3:0
14Modifications in aerosol physical, optical and radiative properties during heavy aerosol events over Dushanbe, Central Asia显示文摘The location of Central Asia,almost at the center of the global dust belt region,makes it susceptible for dust events.The studies on atmospheric impact of dust over the region are very limited despite the large area occupied by the region and its proximity to the mountain regions (Tianshan,Hindu Kush-KarakoramHimalayas,and Tibetan Plateau).In this study,we analyse and explain the modification in aerosols’physical,optical and radiative properties during various levels of aerosol loading observed over Central Asia utilizing the data collected during 2010–2018 at the AERONET station in Dushanbe,Tajikistan.Aerosol episodes were classified as strong anthropogenic,strong dust and extreme dust.The mean aerosol optical depth (AOD) during these three types of events was observed a factor of ~3,3.5 and 6.6,respectively,higher than the mean AOD for the period 2010–2018.The corresponding mean fine-mode fraction was 0.94,0.20 and 0.16,respectively,clearly indicating the dominance of fine-mode anthropogenic aerosol during the first type of events,whereas coarse-mode dust aerosol dominated during the other two types of events.This was corroborated by the relationships among various aerosol parameters (AOD vs.AE,and EAE vs.AAE,SSA and RRI).The mean aerosol radiative forcing (ARF) at the top of the atmosphere (ARF_(TOA)),the bottom of the atmosphere (ARF_(BOA)),and in the atmosphere (ARFATM) were -35±7,-73±16,and38±17 Wm^(-2)during strong anthropogenic events,-48±12,-85±24,and 37±15 Wm^(-2)during strong dust event,and -68±19,-117±38,and 49±21 Wm-2during extreme dust events.Increase in aerosol loading enhanced the aerosol-induced atmospheric heating rate to 0.5–1.6 K day^(-1)(strong anthropogenic events),0.4–1.9 K day^(-1)(strong dust events) and 0.8–2.7 K day^(-1)(extreme dust events).The source regions of air masses to Dushanbe during the onset of such events are also identified.Our study contributes to the understanding of dust and anthropogenic aerosols,in particular the extreme events and their disproportionally high radiative impacts over Central Asia.Dipesh Rupakheti Maheswar Rupakheti Xiufeng Yin Julian Hofer Mukesh Rai Yuling Hu Sabur F.Abdullaev Shichang Kang 2021Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,6:0
15AtomGAN:unsupervised deep learning for fast and accurate defect detection of 2D materials at the atomic scale显示文摘The extraction of atomic-level material features from electron microscope images is crucial for studying structure-property relationships and discovering new materials.However,traditional electron microscope analyses rely on time-consuming and complex human operations;thus,they are only applicable to images with a small number of atoms.In addition,the analysis results vary due to observers’individual deviations.Although efforts to introduce automated methods have been performed previously,many of these methods lack sufficient labeled data or require various conditions in the detection process that can only be applied to the target material.Thus,in this study,we developed AtomGAN,which is a robust,unsupervised learning method,that segments defects in classical 2D material systems and the heterostructures of MoS_(2)/WS_(2)automatically.To solve the data scarcity problem,the proposed model is trained on unpaired simulated data that contain point and line defects for MoS_(2)/WS_(2).The proposed AtomGAN was evaluated on both simulated and real electron microscope images.The results demonstrate that the segmented point defects and line defects are presented perfectly in the resulting figures,with a measurement precision of 96.9%.In addition,the cycled structure of AtomGAN can quickly generate a large number of simulated electron microscope images.Danpeng CHENG Wuxin SHA Zuo XU Shide LI Zhigao YIN Yuling LANG Shun TANG Yuan-Cheng CAO 2023Science China(Information Sciences)2023,66,6:0
