1Ce and Er Co-doped TiO2 for rapid bacteria- killing using visible light显示文摘Bacterial infection and related diseases are threatening the health of human beings.Photocatalytic disinfection as a simple and low-cost disinfection strategy is attracting more and more attention.In this work,TiO2 nanoparticles(NPs)were modified by co-doping of Ce and Er using the sol-gel method,which endowed TiO2 NPs with enhanced visible light photocatalytic performance but not pure ultraviolet photocatalytic properties compared the untreated TiO2.Our results disclosed that as the doping content of Er increased,the photocatalytic activity of modified TiO2 NPs initially increased and subsequently decreased.The same trend occurred for Ce doping.When the doping dose of Er and Ce is 0.5 mol%and 0.2 mol%,the 0.5Ce0.2Ti-O calcined at 800℃ presented the best antibacterial properties,with the antibacterial efficiency of 91.23%and 92.8%for Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli,respectively.The existence of Er ions is thought to successfully turn the near-infrared radiation into visible region,which is easier to be absorbed by TiO2 NPs.Meanwhile,the addition of Ce ions can effectively extend spectral response range and inhibit the recombination of electrons and holes,enhancing the photocatalytic disinfection activity of co-doped TiO2.Yawei Ren Yajing Han Zhaoyang Li Xiangmei Liu Shengli Zhu Yanqin Liang Kelvin Wai Kwok Yeung Shuilin Wu 2020Bioactive Materials2020,5,2:7
2Identification of novel Lynch syndrome mutations in Chinese patients with endometriod endometrial cancer显示文摘Objective:Lynch syndrome(LS)predisposes patients to early onset endometrioid endometrial cancer(EEC).However,little is known about LS-related EEC in the Chinese population.The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of LS and to identify the specific variants of LS in Chinese patients with EEC.Methods:We applied universal immunohistochemistry screening to detect the expression of mismatch repair(MMR)proteins,which was followed by MLH1 methylation analysis to identify suspected LS cases,next-generation sequencing(NGS)to confirm LS,and microsatellite instability(MSI)analysis to verify LS.Results:We collected 211 samples with EEC.Twenty-seven(27/211,12.8%)EEC cases had a loss of MMR protein expression.After MLH1 methylation analysis,16 EEC cases were suggested to be associated with LS.Finally,through NGS and MSI analysis,we determined that 10 EEC(10/209,4.78%)cases were associated with LS.Among those cases,3 unreported mutations(1 frameshift and 2 nonsense)were identified.M SH6 c.597_597delC,found in 4 patients,is likely to be a founder mutation in China.Conclusions:We demonstrated the feasibility of a process for LS screening in Chinese patients with EEC,by using universal immunohistochemistry screening followed by MLH1 methylation analysis and confirmation through NGS and MSI analysis.The novel mutations identified in this study expand knowledge of LS.Caixia Ren Yan Liu Yuxiang Wang Yan Tang Yawei Wei Congrong Liu Hongquan Zhang 2020Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,2:3

10Audio-visual keyword transformer for unconstrained sentence-level keyword spotting显示文摘As one of the most effective methods to improve the accuracy and robustness of speech tasks,the audio-visual fusion approach has recently been introduced into the field of Keyword Spotting(KWS).However,existing audio-visual keyword spotting models are limited to detecting isolated words,while keyword spotting for unconstrained speech is still a challenging problem.To this end,an Audio-Visual Keyword Transformer(AVKT)network is proposed to spot keywords in unconstrained video clips.The authors present a transformer classifier with learnable CLS tokens to extract distinctive keyword features from the variable-length audio and visual inputs.The outputs of audio and visual branches are combined in a decision fusion module.As humans can easily notice whether a keyword appears in a sentence or not,our AVKT network can detect whether a video clip with a spoken sentence contains a pre-specified keyword.Moreover,the position of the keyword is localised in the attention map without additional position labels.Exper-imental results on the LRS2-KWS dataset and our newly collected PKU-KWS dataset show that the accuracy of AVKT exceeded 99%in clean scenes and 85%in extremely noisy conditions.The code is available at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asqcp6ovpx65q069vv.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/jialeren/AVKT.Yidi Li Jiale Ren Yawei Wang Guoquan Wang Xia Li Hong Liu 2024CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology2024,9,1:0
11Rbm8a regulates neurogenesis and reduces Alzheimer's disease-associated pathology in the dentate gyrus of 5×FAD mice显示文摘Alzheimer’s disease is a prevalent and debilitating neurodegenerative condition that profoundly affects a patient’s daily functioning with progressive cognitive decline,which can be partly attributed to impaired hippocampal neurogenesis.Neurogenesis in the hippocampal dentate gyrus is likely to persist throughout life but declines with aging,especially in Alzheimer’s disease.Recent evidence indicated that RNA-binding protein 8A(Rbm8a)promotes the proliferation of neural progenitor cells,with lower expression levels observed in Alzheimer’s disease patients compared with healthy people.This study investigated the hypothesis that Rbm8a overexpression may enhance neurogenesis by promoting the proliferation of neural progenitor cells to improve memory impairment in Alzheimer’s disease.Therefore,Rbm8a overexpression was induced in the dentate gyrus of 5×FAD mice to validate this hypothesis.Elevated Rbm8a levels in the dentate gyrus triggered neurogenesis and abated pathological phenotypes(such as plaque formation,gliosis reaction,and dystrophic neurites),leading to ameliorated memory performance in 5×FAD mice.RNA sequencing data further substantiated these findings,showing the enrichment of differentially expressed genes involved in biological processes including neurogenesis,cell proliferation,and amyloid protein formation.In conclusion,overexpressing Rbm8a in the dentate gyrus of 5×FAD mouse brains improved cognitive function by ameliorating amyloid-beta-associated pathological phenotypes and enhancing neurogenesis.Chenlu Zhu Xiao Ren Chen Liu Yawei Liu Yonggang Wang 2024Neural Regeneration Research2024,19,4:0
12Distribution of Partial Arc Propagation Path on Insulator and Its Discrimination Method显示文摘Pollution flashover is one of themajor insulation accidents that can occur inmodern power systems.If the local arc is not sufficiently elongated by the creepage distance,the flashover performance of the insulator will decrease.The insulator structure and equivalent salt deposition density(ESDD)are the main factors affecting the arc path and length.To investigate the forms of arc paths under different insulator structures and their influence on flashover characteristics,a platformfor recording arc paths is established.This study presents amethod to identify the pattern and distribution of insulator arc paths based on the effect of initial arc on electric field distribution.The results show that there are two main types of local arc paths between umbrellas—the cling-surface arc and the air-jump arc.Moreover,the air-jump arc includes two types—the bridging arc and the gap arc.With the increase in umbrella spacing and ESDD,the probability of arc propagation along the surface increases.The use of the creepage distance can be improved by changing the creepage coefficient to increase the distance between umbrellas.This method has over 90%accuracy.This study is of great significance for improving insulator structure and reducing pollution flashover accidents.Zhibo Song Hao Yang Wei Shen Yixin Ren Yawei Li Jianlong Ma 2023Energy Engineering2023,120,9:0
13Durable semi-crystalline interphase engineering to stabilize high voltage Ni-rich cathode in dilute ether electrolyte显示文摘Ethers are promising electrolyte solvents for secondary Li metal batteries because of their excellent reduction stability.However,their oxidation stability has been mostly relying on the high concentration approach,and limited progress has been made on building effective interphase to protect the cathode from the corrosion of the electrolyte.In this work,we construct a semi-crystalline interfacial layer on the surface of Li(Ni_(0.8)Co_(0.1)Mn_(0.1))O_(2)cathode that can achieve improved electrochemical stability in the highly corrosive chemical environment formed by the decomposition of ether molecules.Different from traditional brittle crystalline interphases,the optimized semi-crystalline layer with low modulus and high ionic conductivity can effectively relieve electrode strain and maintain the integrity of the interface layer.Due to this design,the continuous oxidation decomposition of ether-based electrolytes could be significantly suppressed and the battery shows outstanding cycling stability(84%capacity retention after 300 cycles).This article provides a solution to address the oxidation instability issue of ether-based electrolytes.Zhuangzhuang Cui Shunqiang Chen Qingshun Nian Yecheng Li Yawei Chen Bing-Qing Xiong Zihong Wang Zixu He Shuhong Jiao Xiaodi Ren 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,4:0
14Highly reliable and efficient encoding systems for hexadecimal polypeptide-based data storage显示文摘Polypeptides consisting of amino acid(AA)sequences are suitable for high-density information storage.However,the lack of suitable encoding systems,which accommodate the characteristics of polypeptide synthesis,storage and sequencing,impedes the application of polypeptides for large-scale digital data storage.To address this,two reliable and highly efficient encoding systems,i.e.RaptorQ-Arithmetic-Base64-Shuffle-RS(RABSR)and RaptorQArithmetic-Huffman-Rotary-Shuffle-RS(RAHRSR)systems,are developed for polypeptide data storage.The two encoding systems realized the advantages of compressing data,correcting errors of AA chain loss,correcting errors within AA chains,eliminating homopolymers,and pseudo-randomized encrypting.The coding efficiency without arithmetic compression and error correction of audios,pictures and texts by the RABSR system was 3.20,3.12 and 3.53 Bits/AA,respectively.While that using the RAHRSR system reached 4.89,4.80 and 6.84 Bits/AA,respectively.When implemented with redundancy for error correction and arithmetic compression to reduce redundancy,the coding efficiency of audios,pictures and texts by the RABSR system was 4.43,4.36 and 5.22 Bits/AA,respectively.This efficiency further increased to 7.24,7.11 and 9.82 Bits/AA by the RAHRSR system,respectively.Therefore,the developed hexadecimal polypeptide-based systems may provide a new scenario for highly reliable and highly efficient data storage.Yubin Ren Yi Zhang Yawei Liu Qinglin Wu Hong-Gang Hu Jingjing Li Chunhai Fan Dong Chen Kai Liu Hongjie Zhang 2023Fundamental Research2023,3,2:0
