| 1 | Synthesis of mesoporous Cu/Mg/Fe layered double hydroxide and its adsorption performance for arsenate in aqueous solutions显示文摘The mesoporous Cu/Mg/Fe layered double hydroxide(Cu/Mg/Fe-LDH) with carbonate intercalation was synthesized and used for the removal of arsenate from aqueous solutions.The Cu/Mg/Fe-LDH was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectrometry,X-ray diffraction crystallography,scanning electron microscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller.Effects of various physico-chemical parameters such as pH,adsorbent dosage,contact time and initial arsenate concentration on the adsorption of arsenate onto Cu/Mg/Fe-LDH were investigated.Results showed that it was efficient for the removal of arsenate,and the removal efficiency of arsenate increased with the increment of the adsorbent dosage,while the arsenate adsorption capacity decreased with increase of initial pH from 3 to 11.The adsorption isotherms can be well described by the Langmuir model with R 2 > 0.99.Its adsorption kinetics followed the pseudo second-order kinetic model.Coexisting ions such as HPO42-,CO32-,SO42and NO3could compete with arsenate for adsorption sites on the Cu/Mg/Fe-LDH.The adsorption of arsenate on the adsorbent can be mainly attributed to the ion exchange process.It was found that the synthesized Cu/Mg/Fe-LDH can reduce the arsenate concentration down to a final level of < 10 μg/L under the experimental conditions,and makes it a potential material for the decontamination of arsenate polluted water. | Yanwei Guo Zhiliang Zhu Yanling Qiu Jianfu Zhao | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,5: | 11 |

| 3 | Research and application of methods for effectiveness evaluation of mine cooling system显示文摘Regarding the complexity and inconsistency of results in existing evaluation methods of mine cooling system, this paper clarifies the advantages, disadvantages and application of various mine cooling systems through principle analysis, and divides all the cooling systems into air-cooling, ice-cooling and water-cooling according to the transportation of cold energy. On this basis, the paper proposes a simple and efficient evaluation method for mine cooling system. The first index of this method is the air temperature at point C which is 15 m away from the return wind corner at working face. A cooling system will be judged ineligible if the air temperature at point C is above 30 °C during operation, because in this case, the combustible gases in coal will sharply overflow, inducing gas incidents. Based on the preliminary judgment of the first index, another two evaluation indexes are proposed based on the cooling ability and dehumidification of an airflow volume of 1000 m3/min at point C to evaluate the investment and operation cost of mine cooling system. | 4 | Jurassic Hornblende Gabbros in Dongga,Eastern Gangdese,Tibet:Partial Melting of Mantle Wedge and Implications for Crustal Growth显示文摘The Gangdese batholith, more than 2500 km in length, is composed mainly of JurassicMiocene igneous rocks. This batholith is one of the most important constituents of the Tibetan orogenesis and provides an ideal place for study of Neo-Tethyan ocean geodynamic evolution and plateau uplift. Recent studies on the Gangdese Jurassic felsic magmatism highlight its juvenile source. However, important aspects concerning the genesis of the juvenile magmatism and related deep geodynamic evolution are still unclear. Here, we report detailed petrological, geochronological, geochemical, whole-rock Sr-Nd isotopic, and in situ Sr-Hf isotopic data for a recently identified hornblende gabbro in the Dongga area, southern Lhasa sub-block. This hornblende gabbro is dominated by hornblende and plagioclase, dated at Early Jurassic(ca. 180–190 Ma), and characterized by a narrow compositional range in SiO_2(49.38wt%–52.27wt%), MgO(4.08wt%–7.00wt%), FeO(10.43wt%–11.77wt%), Na_2O(2.58wt%–3.51wt%), and K_2O(0.48wt%–1.53wt%). It has depleted isotopic signatures, with whole-rock(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)i ratios of 0.7033–0.7043, ε_(Nd)(t) values of +4.90 to +6.99, in situ plagioclase(^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr)i ratios of 0.7034–0.7042, and zircon ε_(Hf)(t) of +12.2 to +16.8. Our results integrated with published data suggest a model of Gangdese juvenile crustal growth by a subduction-related water-enriched mantle wedge. The hydrous partial melting of the lithosphere mantle was triggered by the dehydration of a Neo-Tethyan oceanic slab. | 6 | Methionine deficiency and its hydroxy analogue influence chicken intestinal 3-dimensional organoid development显示文摘Methionine and its hydroxy analogue(MHA)have been shown to benefit mouse intestinal regeneration.The intestinal organoid is a good model that directly reflects the impact of certain nutrients or chemicals on intestinal development.Here,we aimed to establish a chicken intestinal organoid culture method first and then use the model to explore the influence of methionine deficiency and MHA on intestinal organoid development.The results showed that 125-mm cell strainer exhibited the highest efficiency for chicken embryo crypt harvesting.We found that transforming growth factor-b inhibitor(A8301)supplementation promoted enterocyte differentiation at the expense of the proliferation of intestinal stem cells(ISC).The mitogen-activated protein kinase p38 inhibitor(SB202190)promoted intestinal organoid formation and enterocyte differentiation but suppressed the differentiation of enteroendocrine cells,goblet cells and Paneth cells.However,the suppression of enteroendocrine cell and Paneth cell differentiation by SB202190 was alleviated at the presence of A8301.The glycogen synthase kinase 3 inhibitor(CHIR99021),valproic acid(VPA)alone and their combination promoted chicken intestinal organoid formation and enterocyte differentiation at the expense of the expression of Paneth cells and goblet cells.Chicken serum significantly improved organoid formation,especially in the presence of A8301,SB202190,CHIR99021,and VPA,but inhibited the differentiation of Paneth cells and enteroendocrine cells.Chicken serum at a concentration of 0.25%meets the requirement of chicken intestinal organoid development,and the beneficial effect of chicken serum on chicken intestinal organoid culture could not be replaced by fetal bovine serum and insulin-like growth factor-1.Moreover,commercial mouse organoid culture medium supplemented with A8301,SB202190,CHIR99021,VPA,and chicken serum promotes chicken organoid budding.Based on the chicken intestinal organoid model,we found that methionine deficiency mimicked by cycloleucine suppressed organoid formation and organoid size,and this effect was reinforced with increased cycloleucine concentrations.Methionine hydroxy analogue promoted regeneration of ISC but decreased cell differentiation compared with the results obtained with L-methionine.In conclusion,our results provide a potentially excellent guideline for chicken intestinal organoid culture and insights into methionine function in crypt development. | Youli Wang Qihang Hou Yuqin Wu Yanwei Xu Yan Liu Jing Chen Lingling Xu Yuming Guo Shuai Gao Jianmin Yuan | 2022 | Animal Nutrition2022,,1: | 4 |

| 10 | An inspiration to the studies on mechanisms of acupuncture and moxibustion action derived from 2021 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine显示文摘The editorial board of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine recently convened an academic seminar with a focus on studies regarding the mechanisms mediating acupuncture efficacy and moxibustion action inspired by the 2021 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.Specifically,Professor Bailong Xiao introduced the Nobel Prize for research on the mechanically activated Piezo ion channel,evaluating the structure of the Piezo channel and its physiological and pathological functions,and proposed a possible role for the Piezo channel in acupuncture mechanical stimulation.Professor Michael Xi Zhu introduced the discovery of the transient receptor potential(TRP)family,reporting that the therapeutic effects of Chinese medicine and acupuncture may be achieved via the TRP family,and that information regarding associations between the meridian and lymphatic systems may have important research and medical value.In addition,Professor Tianle Xu reviewed the history of ion channel research,particularly the physiological and pharmacological effects of non-classical ion channels(eg,the acid sensing ion channel family)and pointed out that the characterization and neural circuits of acupuncture deqi manipulation are important for elucidating the mechanisms of acupuncture actions.Professor Yongming Li similarly proposed that the 2021 Nobel Prize may open the door to disclosing the histological basis of acupuncture and moxibustion and analyzing the main scientific concerns regarding the clinical translation of acupuncture and moxibustion from basic to translational research.Finally,Professor Yi Guo summarized the study progress of the acupoint microenvironment induced by acupuncture over the course of nearly 30 years and put forward the hypothesis that acupuncture may initiate the physical-chemical coupling network by activating ion channel receptors in acupoints via physical and mechanical stimulation.Therefore,we conclude that a primary achievement of the 2021 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine is in helping interpret how acupuncture and moxibustion adjust homeostasis(ie,by activating mechanical and thermal sensation),which is conducive to validating and promoting the clinical efficacy of acupuncture modalities. | Yi Guo Yongming Li Tianle Xu Michael Xi Zhu Zhifang Xu Baomin Dou Yanwei Li Zhihan Chen | 2022 | Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine2022,2,1: | 2 |

With the proposed model, numerical simulations were preformed to investigate the effects of pouring temperature and holding time on the oxygen concentrations and reactive layer thickness in metal. In this field, interconnection and novel display applications are acknowledged as important future directions.However, it is a huge scientific and technical challenge to develop intrinsically flexible displays due to the limited size and shape of the display panel. To address this conundrum, it is crucial to develop intrinsically flexible electrode materials, semiconductor materials and dielectric materials, as well as the relevant flexible transistor drivers and display panels. In this review, we focus on the recent progress in this field from seven aspects: background and concept, intrinsically flexible electrode materials, intrinsically flexible organic semiconductors and dielectric materials for organic thin film transistors(OTFTs), intrinsically flexible organic emissive semiconductors for electroluminescent devices, and OTFT-driven electroluminescent devices for intrinsically flexible displays.
