1Ocean Observation Technologies:A Review显示文摘Covering about three quarters of the surface area of the earth,the ocean is a critical source of sustenance,medicine,and commerce.However,such vast expanse in both surface area and depth,presents myriad observing challenges for researchers,such as corrosion,attenuation of electromagnetic waves,and high pressure.Ocean observation technologies are progressing from the conventional single node,static and short-term modalities to multiple nodes,dynamic and long-term modalities,to increase the density of both temporal and spatial samplings.Although people’s knowledge of the oceans has been still quite limited,the contributions of many nations cooperating to develop the Global Ocean Observing System(GOOS)have remarkably promoted the development of ocean observing technologies.This paper reviews the typical observing technologies deployed from the sea surface to the seafloor,and discusses the future trend of the ocean observation systems with the docking technology and sustained ocean energy.Mingwei Lin Canjun Yang 2020Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,2:6
2Study on falling film generation heat transfer of lithium bromide solution in vertical tubes显示文摘Falling film generation process in lithium bromide absorption refrigeration generation system is researched in thispaper. To describe the coupled heat and mass transfer of laminar falling film in vertical generation tube, a mathematicalmodel is developed, in which the effect of mass transfer on heat transfer is carefully evaluated. Moreover,an equation related Re number with solution volume flow was also obtained in given conditions. We carried outthe experiments with the mass fraction of the inlet solution LiBr being 49.5% and obtained an empirical correlationof heat transfer with the film Re number and heat flux in different volume flow. 4NOVEL 6-DOF WEARABLE EXOSKELETON ARM WITH PNEUMATIC FORCE-FEEDBACK FOR BILATERAL TELEOPERATION显示文摘A particular emphasis is put on a novel wearable exoskeleton arm,ZJUESA,with 6 degrees of freedom,which is used for the robot teleoperation with the force-feedback in the unknown environment.In this external structure mechanism,the 3-revolution-prismatic-spherical(3RPS) parallel mechanism is devised from the concept of the human upper-limb anatomy and applied for the shoulder 3-DOF joint.Meanwhile,the orthogonal experiment design method is introduced for its optimal design.Aiming at enhancing the performance of teleoperation,the force feedback is employed by the pneumatic system on ZJUESA to produce the vivid feeling in addition to the soft control interface.Due to the compressibility and nonlinearity of the pneumatic force feedback system, a novel hybrid fuzzy controller for the precise force control is proposed and realized based on the Mega8 microcontroller units as the units of the distributed control system on ZJUESA.With the results of several experiments for master-slave control with force feedback,the feasibility of ZJUESA system and the effect of its hybrid fuzzy controller are verified.ZHANG Jiafan FU Hailun DONG Yiming ZHANG Yu YANG Canjun CHEN Ying 2008Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2008,21,3:3
5The pressure compensation technology of deep-sea sampling based on the real gas state equation显示文摘Compressed gas is usually used for the pressure compensation of the deep-sea pressure-maintaining sampler.The pressure and volume of the recovered fluid sample are highly related to the precharged gas. To better understand the behavior of the gas under high pressure, we present a new real gas state equation based on the compression factor Z which was derived from experimental data. Then theoretical calculation method of the pressure and volume of the sample was introduced based on this empirical gas state equation. 7Mechatronic integration and implementation of in situ multipoint temperature measurement for seafloor hydrothermal vent显示文摘In order to provide firsthand reference data for model building and analysis of temperature field of seafloor hydrothermal vent, a temperature measurement sys- tem is designed, which can be used to measure the temperature of seafloor hydrothermal vent. The system can implement in situ multipoint temperature measurement and work for 15 days on the seafloor, so low power consumption design principle of the integrated circuit board is adopted. To enable the system to endure the high pressure on the seafloor, mechanical structure of the system is designed in terms of design principle of pressure container. The pressure test ex- periment was performed in the authoritative institution, and the results indicated that the system was safe and could work reliably on the seafloor. In the first Sino-American Joint Dive Cruise, the instruments were carried to the seafloor to work by Alvin. The experiment in the sea was successful, and the results indicated that the system could survive in the high pressure and high temperature environ- ment and record the temperature activities of hydrothermal vents. 10DESIGN OF NOVEL HIGH PRESSURE-RESISTANT HYDROTHERMAL FLUID SAMPLE VALVE显示文摘Sampling study is an effective exploration method,but the most extreme environments of hydrothermal vents pose considerable engineering challenges for sampling hydrothermal fluids. Moreover,traditional sampler systems with sample valves have difficulty in maintaining samples in situ pressure. However,decompression changes have effect on microorganisms sensitive to such stresses. To address the technical difficulty of collecting samples from hydrothermal vents,a new bidirectional high pressure-resistant sample valve with balanced poppet was designed. The sample valve utilizes a soft high performance plastic 'PEEK' as poppet. The poppet with inapposite dimension is prone to occur to plastic deformation or rupture for high working pressure in experiments. To address this issue,based on the finite element model,simulated results on stress distribution of the poppet with different structure parameters and preload spring force were obtained. The static axial deformations on top of the poppet were experimented. The simulated results agree with the experimental results. 12Tauroursodeoxycholic acid(TUDCA)improves intestinal barrier function associated with TGR5-MLCK pathway and the alteration of serum metabolites and gut bacteria in weaned piglets显示文摘Background:Tauroursodeoxycholic acid(TUDCA),a hydrophilic bile acid,is the main medicinal component of bear bile and is commonly used to treat a variety of hepatobiliary diseases.Meanwhile,TUDCA has been shown to modulate the intestinal barrier function and alleviate DSS-induced colitis in mice.However,the effect of TUDCA on the intestinal barrier of weaned piglets remains largely unclear.Methods:The weaned piglets and porcine IPEC-J2 intestinal epithelial cells were used to investigate the effects of TUDCA on intestinal barrier function in weaned piglets and explore the possible underlying mechanisms.In vivo,72 healthy weaned piglets were randomly allocated into 2 groups according to their gender and body weight,and piglets were fed the basal diet with 0(control,CON)and 200 mg/kg TUDCA for 30 d,respectively.Three female and three male piglets reflecting the average bodyweight were slaughtered in each group and samples were collected.In vitro,IPEC-J2 cells were subjected to 100μmol/L TUDCA to explore the possible underlying mechanisms.Results:Our results demonstrated that dietary TUDCA supplementation significantly reduced the diarrhea incidence of weaned piglets,possibly attributing to the TUDCA-enhanced intestinal barrier function and immunity.In addition,TUDCA supplementation altered serum metabolites and the relative abundance of certain gut bacteria,which might contribute to the improved intestinal barrier function.Furthermore,the in-vitro results showed that TUDCA improved the E.coli-induced epithelial barrier impairment of IPEC-J2 cells and increased Takeda G-coupled protein receptor 5(TGR5)protein expression.However,knockdown of TGR5 and inhibition of myosin light chain kinase(MLCK)pathway abolished the TUDCA-improved epithelial barrier impairment in E.coli-treated IPEC-J2 cells,indicating the involvement of TGR5-MLCK in this process.Conclusions:These findings showed that TUDCA improved intestinal barrier function associated with TGR5-MLCK pathway and the alteration of serum metabolites and gut bacteria in weaned piglets,suggesting the potential application of TUDCA in improving gut health in piglet production.Min Song Fenglin Zhang Yiming Fu Xin Yi Shengchun Feng Zhichang Liu Dun Deng Qiang Yang Miao Yu Canjun Zhu Xiaotong Zhu Lina Wang Ping Gao Gang Shu Xianyong Ma Qingyan Jiang Songbo Wang 2022Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,6:1

20Liver cell therapies:cellular sources and grafting strategies显示文摘The liver has a complex cellular composition and a remarkable regenerative capacity.The primary cell types in the liver are two parenchymal cell populations,hepatocytes and cholangiocytes,that perform most of the functions of the liver and that are helped through interactions with non-parenchymal cell types comprising stellate cells,endothelia and various hemopoietic cell populations.The regulation of the cells in the liver is mediated by an insoluble complex of proteins and carbohydrates,the extracellular matrix,working synergistically with soluble paracrine and systemic signals.In recent years,with the rapid development of genetic sequencing technologies,research on the liver’s cellular composition and its regulatory mechanisms during various conditions has been extensively explored.Meanwhile breakthroughs in strategies for cell transplantation are enabling a future in which there can be a rescue of patients with end-stage liver diseases,offering potential solutions to the chronic shortage of livers and alternatives to liver transplantation.This review will focus on the cellular mechanisms of liver homeostasis and how to select ideal sources of cells to be transplanted to achieve liver regeneration and repair.Recent advances are summarized for promoting the treatment of end-stage liver diseases by forms of cell transplantation that now include grafting strategies.Wencheng Zhang Yangyang Cui Yuan Du Yong Yang Ting Fang Fengfeng Lu Weixia Kong Canjun Xiao Jun Shi Lola M.Reid Zhiying He 2023Frontiers of Medicine2023,17,3:0
