| 1 | Science and Prediction of Heavy Rainfall over China:Research Progress since the Reform and Opening-Up of New China显示文摘This paper reviews the major progress on development of the science and prediction of heavy rainfall over China since the beginning of the reform and opening-up of new China(roughly between 1980 and 2019).The progress of research on the physical mechanisms of heavy rainfall over China is summarized from three perspectives:1)the relevant synoptic weather systems,2)heavy rainfall in major sub-regions of China,and 3)heavy rainfall induced by typhoons.The development and application of forecasting techniques for heavy rainfall are summarized in terms of numerical weather prediction techniques and objective forecasting methods.Greatly aided by the rapid progress in meteorological observing technology and substantial improvement in electronic computing,studies of heavy rainfall in China have advanced to investigating the evolution of heavy-rain-producing storms and observational analysis of the cloud microphysical features.A deeper and more systematic understanding of the synoptic systems of importance to the production of heavy rainfall has also been developed.Operational forecast of heavy rainfall in China has changed from subjective weather event forecasts to a combination of both subjective and objective quantitative precipitation forecasts,and is now advancing toward probabilistic quantitative precipitation forecasts with the provision of forecast uncertainty information. | Yali LUO Jisong SUN Ying LI Rudi XIA Yu DU Shuai YANG Yuanchun ZHANG Jing CHEN Kan DAI Xueshun SHEN Haoming CHEN Feifan ZHOU Yimin LIU Shenming FU Mengwen WU Tiangui XIAO Yangruixue CHEN Huiqi LI Mingxin LI | 2020 | Journal of Meteorological Research2020，34，3： | 10 |
| 2 | Geochemical characteristics and applications of 18α(H)-neohopanes and 17α(H)-diahopanes显示文摘Distributions and geochemical significances of 18α(H)-neohopanes and of 17α(H)-diahopanes in oils from west Xialiaohe depression of the Bohai Bay Basin have been studied. Relative abundance of 18α(H)-neohopanes and of 17α(H)-diahopanes can be effectively used as maturity parameters, in a range of medium-high mature stage, based on consideration on sedimentary-organic facies of source rocks. With a dual geochemical significance of maturity and sedimentary-organic facies, neohopane and diahopane parameters can be well used in oil-source correlation and in petroleum population division. Formation, primary concentration and preservation of precursors of rearranged hopanes are closely related to depositional conditions such as Eh-pH and clays content. | 4 | NLP1 reciprocally regulates nitrate inhibition of nodulation through SUNN-CRA2 signaling in Medicago truncatula显示文摘Most legume plants can associate with diazotrophic soil bacteria called rhizobia,resulting in new root organs called nodules that enable N2 fixation.Nodulation is an energy-consuming process,and nodule number is tightly regulated by independent systemic signaling pathways controlled by CLE/SUNN and CEP/CRA2.Moreover,nitrate inhibits legume nodulation via local and systemic regulatory pathways.In Medicago truncatula,NLP1 plays important roles in nitrate-induced inhibition of nodulation,but the relationship between systemic and local pathways in mediating nodulation inhibition by nitrate is poorly understood.In this study,we found that nitrate induces CLE35 expression in an NLP1-dependent manner and that NLP1 binds directly to the CLE35 promoter to activate its expression.Grafting experiments revealed that the systemic control of nodule number involves negative regulation by SUNN and positive regulation by CRA2 in the shoot,and that NLP1’s control of the inhibition of rhizobial infection,nodule development,and nitrogenase activity in response to nitrate is determined by the root.Unexpectedly,grafting experiments showed that loss of CRA2 in the root increases nodule number at inhibitory nitrate levels,probably because of CEP1/2 upregulation in the cra2 mutants,suggesting that CRA2 exerts active negative feedback regulation in the root. | Zhenpeng Luo Jie-shun Lin Yali Zhu Mengdi Fu Xiaolin Li Fang Xie | 2021 | Plant Communications2021，2，3： | 5 |

| 6 | Diagnostic value of negative enrichment and immune fluorescence in situ hybridization for intraperitoneal free cancer cells of gastric cancer显示文摘Objective:To explore the intraperitoneal free cancer cell(IFCC)detection value of negative enrichment and immune fluorescence in situ hybridization(NEimFISH)on chromosomes(CEN)8/17.Methods:To verify the reliability of NEimFISH,29 gastric cancer tumors,their adjacent tissues and greater omental tissues were tested.Our study then included 105 gastric cancer patients for IFCC.We defined patients as IFCC-positive if a signal was detected,regardless of the detailed cancer cell numbers.A comparison of clinicopathological features was conducted among IFCC groups.We also compared the diagnosis value and peritoneal recurrence predictive value among different detection methods.The comparison of IFCC number was also conducted among different groups.Results:A cutoff of 2.5 positive cells could distinguish all benign tissue samples and 97%of malignant tissue samples in our study.Compared to intestinal gastric cancer,patients with diffuse gastric cancer tended to have more IFCCs(6 vs.4,P=0.002).The IFCC counts were often higher in the lymphovascular invasion positive group than negative group(3 vs.1,P=0.022).All IFCC samples that were considered positive using conventional cytology were also found to be positive using NEimFISH.When compared to conventional cytology and paraffin pathology,NEimFISH had a higher IFCC positive rate(68.9%)and higher one-year peritoneal recurrence predictive value with area under the curve(AUC)of 0.922.Conclusions:Gastric cancer could be effectively diagnosed by NEimFISH.The IFCC number found using NEimFISH on CEN8/17 is closely associated with Lauren type and vascular invasion of cancer.NEimFISH is a reliable detection modality with a higher positive detection rate,higher one-year peritoneal recurrence predictive value and quantitative features for IFCC of gastric cancer. | Anqiang Wang Zhongwu Li Qian Wang Yali Bai Xin Ji Tao Fu Ke Ji Yanwen Xue Tingxu Han Xiaojiang Wu Ji Zhang Yingjie Yang Guobin Xu Zhaode Bu Jiafu Ji | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2019，31，6： | 3 |
| 7 | THz spectra of five borates crystals显示文摘Terahertz spectral responses have been studied for five borate crystals Na5[B2P3O13] (NBP), Zn3BPO (ZBP), SrB4O7 (SBO), Na3La9O3(BO 3)8 (NLBO) and PbB4O7 (PBO). It is found that the samples had good transmission in 0.25―1.5 THz region. Both SBO and NLBO have an absorption coefficient less than 10 cm1. Among them, SBO has not only the smallest absorption coefficient but also a very flat dispersion in the frequency region under investigation. Distinct resonance absorption peaks are observed for ZBP at ν1 = 1.4 THz, ν2 = 2.0 THz and SBO at ν = 2.4 THz. In the spectrum of PBO, two abnormal dispersions appear in the frequency regions 1.44―1.74 and 2.2―2.5 THz. The absorption coefficients and refraction indices of the five crystals are extracted from the THz time-domain (THz-TDS) spectra in 0.25―2.5 THz region. | 13 | CDK6 inhibits lymphoid cell infiltration and represents a prognostic marker in HPV+ squamous cell carcinoma of head and neck显示文摘Objective:We investigated the correlations between cyclin-dependent kinase 4/6(CDK4/6)levels and human papillomavirus(HPV)infection state in head and neck squamous cell cancer(HNSCC).The aim was to explore the potential value of CDK4/6 inhibitors in the treatment of HNSCC.Methods:Multiomic sequencing data for HNSCC were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA),and the mRNA levels and copy number variations(CNVs)of CDK4 and CDK6 were strictly analyzed.Overall survival(OS)curves were produced using the Kaplan-Meier method,and survival differences between groups were assessed by the log-rank test.Next,gene set enrichment analysis(GSEA)was applied to interrogate CDK4/6-associated molecular pathways in HPV-positive(HPV+)and HPV-negative(HPV-)HNSCC.Last,lymphoid cell infiltrates in each type of HNSCC were explored,and the correlations between CDK4/6 expression and lymphoid infiltrates were explored by Tumor Immune Estimation Resource(TIMER)analysis.Results:Overexpression of either CDK6 or CDK4 was not a relevant factor for OS in HPV-HNSCC(CDK6:top 40%vs.bottom 40%,P=0.885;CDK4:top 40%vs.bottom 40%,P=0.267).In HPV+HNSCC,CDK6 but not CDK4 was a relevant factor for OS(CDK6:top 40%vs.bottom 40%,P=0.002;CDK4:top 40%vs.bottom 40%,P=0.452).GSEA found that overexpressed CDK6 in HPV+HNSCC inhibited pathways involved in the tumor immune response,suggesting its roles in antitumor immunity.TIMER analysis results revealed that CDK6 but not CDK4 accumulation was negatively correlated with the number of tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes specific for HPV+HNSCC,which led to tumor response suppression.Conclusions:CDK6,but not CDK4,is a poor prognostic marker specific in HPV+HNSCC patients.Overexpressed CDK6 might stimulate tumor progression by suppressing lymphocytes infiltration independent of its kinase activity.Only abrogating its kinase activity using current CDK4/6 inhibitors was not enough to block its tumor promotion function. | Chuanhao Tang Li Lin Wei Zhou Xiang Liu Yali Fu Lingling Zhang Li Li Xiangyi Wang Libo Zhao Jun Liang Libo Zhao Jun Liang | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2019，31，6： | 1 |

| 15 | Presence of organophosphate flame retardants(OPEs)in different functional areas in residential homes in Beijing,China显示文摘The production and application of organophosphate esters(OPEs)have dramatically increased in recent years due to their use as a replacement for brominated flame retardants.In this study,13 OPEs(∑_(13)OPEs)were analyzed in indoor air samples from kitchens and living rooms in 14 residential homes in Beijing,China.The concentrations of ∑_(13)OPEs in kitchen air samples(mean:13 ng/m^(3))were significantly(p<0.05)higher than in living room air samples(5.0 ng/m^(3)).In addition,paired window surface organic film samples were collected and analyzed to investigate film-air partitioning,exhibiting a mean concentration of ∑_(13)OPEs of 4100 ng/m^(2).The congener profiles showed that tris(2-chloroisopropyl)phosphate(TCPP)was the predominant compound in both window film samples(48%)and the corresponding indoor air sample(56%).The estimated daily intakes(EDI)of OPEs via indoor air inhalation were 2.8 and 1.4 ng/kg/day for infants and adults,respectively,both of which are below the reference dose values(RfDs).Overall,these findings indicate that OPEs in the indoor air environment of residential homes in Beijing are not likely to pose a health risk to the general population. | Kun Lv Lu Bai Boyu Song Xindong Ma Minmin Hou Jie Fu Yali Shi Yawei Wang Guibin Jiang | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022，34，5： | 1 |

| 18 | Energy Paths that Sustain the Warm-Sector Torrential Rainfall over South China and Their Contrasts to the Frontal Rainfall: A Case Study显示文摘Predicting warm-sector torrential rainfall over South China,which is famous for its destructive power,is one of the most challenging issues of the current numerical forecast field.Insufficient understanding of the key mechanisms underlying this type of event is the root cause.Since understanding the energetics is crucial to understanding the evolutions of various types of weather systems,a general methodology for investigating energetics of torrential rainfall is provided in this study.By applying this methodology to a persistent torrential rainfall event which had concurrent frontal and warm-sector precipitation,the first physical image on the energetics of the warm-sector torrential rainfall is established.This clarifies the energy sources for producing the warm-sector rainfall during this event.For the first time,fundamental similarities and differences between the warm-sector and frontal torrential rainfall are shown in terms of energetics.It is found that these two types of rainfall mainly differed from each other in the lower-tropospheric dynamical features,and their key differences lay in energy sources.Scale interactions(mainly through downscale energy cascade and transport)were a dominant factor for the warm-sector torrential rainfall during this event,whereas,for the frontal torrential rainfall,they were only of secondary importance.Three typical signals in the background environment are found to have supplied energy to the warm-sector torrential rainfall,with the quasi-biweekly oscillation having contributed the most. | Shenming FU Jingping ZHANG Yali LUO Wenying YANG Jianhua SUN | 2022 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2022，39，9： | 1 |
