| 2 | Restoration and Rational Use of Degraded Saline Reed Wetlands:A Case Study in Western Songnen Plain, China显示文摘The protection, restoration and sustainable use are key issues of all the wetlands worldwide. Ecological, agronomic, and engineering techniques have been integrated in the development of a structurally sound, ecologically beneficial engineering restoration method for restoring and utilizing a degraded saline wetland in the western Songnen Plain of China. Hydrological restoration was performed by developing a system of biannual irrigation and drainage using civil engineering measures to bring wetlands into contact with river water and improve the irrigation and drainage system in the wetlands. Agronomic measures such as plowing the reed fields, reed rhizome transplantation, and fertilization were used to restore the reed vegetation. Biological measures, including the release of crab and fish fry and natural proliferation, were used to restore the aquatic communities. The results of the restoration were clear and positive. By the year 2009, the reed yield had increased by 20.9 times. Remarkable ecological benefits occurred simultaneously. Vegetation primary-production capacity increased, local climate regulation and water purification enhanced, and biodiversity increased. This demonstration of engineering techniques illustrates the basic route for the restoration of degraded wetlands, that the biodiversity should be reconstructed by the comprehensive application of engineering, biological, and agronomic measures based on habitat restoration under the guidance of process-oriented strategies. | 5 | Synergetic catalytic removal of chlorobenzene and NOχfrom waste incineration exhaust over MnNb0.4Ce0.2Oχcatalysts:Performance and mechanism study显示文摘Nb doped MnCe0.2Ox complex oxides catalysts prepared via a homogeneous precipitation method were investigated for synergistic catalytic removal of NOx and chlorobenzene(CB)at low temperatures.The MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox catalyst with a molar ratio of Nb/Mn=0.4 exhibits excellent activity and the NOx and CB removal efficiency reaches 94.5%and 96%at 220℃,respectively.Furthermore,the NOx and CB removal efficiency of MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox still remains above 80%after injecting 300 ppm SO2 and 7 vol%H2 O for 36 h.In addition,the presence of CB and NOx+NH3 can improve the NOx and CB removal efficiency of MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox,respectively.The analysis results from N2-BET,Py-IR,H2-TPR and NH3-TPD reveal that the introduction of Nb increases the average pore size,pore volume and surface area,promoted the growth of Lewis acid amount obviously,and enhances redox ability of MnCe0.2Ox at 100-250℃.Moreover,the molecular migration process of NOx,NH3,CB and SO2 in NH3-SCR and CB oxidation reaction over MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox catalysts were systematically studied.In situ DRIFTS,FT-IR and XPS also confirm that the adsorption of sulfate species and SO2 on the surface of MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox is inhibited effectively by the introduction of Nb in the presence of SO2 and H2 O.Moreover,Nb additives also enhance the structural stability of MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox,due to the interactions among Mn,Nb and Ce.The NH3-TPD,H2-TPR and in situ DRIFTS results also confirm that the MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox still retains abundant acid sites and high redox ability in the presence of SO2 and H2O.In summary,MnNb0.4Ce0.2Ox catalysts represent a promising and effective candidate for controlling NOx and CB at low temperatures. | Bo Yang Qijie Jin Qiong Huang Mindong Chen Leilei Xu Yuesong Shen Haitao Xu Shemin Zhu Xiujun Li | 2020 | Journal of Rare Earths2020,38,11: | 6 |

| 8 | Impacts of land use and salinization on soil inorganic and organic carbon in the middle-lower Yellow River Delta显示文摘Soil inorganic carbon(SIC)is an important reservoir of carbon(C)in arid,semi-arid,and semi-humid regions.However,knowledge is incomplete on the dynamics of SIC and its relationship with soil organic C(SOC)under different land use types in the semi-humid region,particularly in coastal zones impacted by soil salinization.We collected 170 soil samples from 34 profiles across various land use types(maize-wheat,cotton,paddy,and reed)in the middle-lower Yellow River Delta(YRD),China.We measured soil pH,electrical conductivity(EC),water-soluble salts,and SOC and SIC contents.Our results showed significant differences in both SOC and SIC among land use types.The dry cropland(maize-wheat and cotton)soils had significantly higher SOC and SIC densities(4.71 and 15.46 kg C m^(-2),respectively)than the paddy soils(3.28 and 14.09 kg C m^(-2),respectively)in the 0–100 cm layer.Compared with paddy soils,reed soils contained significantly higher SOC(4.68 kg C m^(-2))and similar SIC(15.02 kg C m^(-2))densities.There was a significant positive correlation between SOC and SIC densities over a 0–100 cm soil depth in dry cropland soils,but a negative relationship in the paddy soils.On average,SOC and SIC densities under maize-wheat cropping were 15%and 4%lower,respectively,in the salt-affected soils in the middle-lower YRD than the upper YRD.This study indicated that land use types had great influences on both SOC and SIC and their relationship,and salinization had adverse effect on soil C storage in the YRD. | Yang GUO Xiujun WANG Xianglan LI Minggang XU Yuan LI Haonan ZHENG Yongming LUO Pete SMITH | 2021 | Pedosphere2021,31,6: | 4 |

| 10 | De novo Assembly of Pen Shell(Atrina pectinata) Transcriptome and Screening of Its Genic Microsatellites显示文摘The pen shell(Atrina pectinata) is a large wedge-shaped bivalve, which belongs to family Pinnidae. Due to its large and nutritious adductor muscle, it is the popular seafood with high commercial value in Asia-Pacific countries. However, limiting genomic and transcriptomic data have hampered its genetic investigations. In this study, the transcriptome of A. pectinata was deeply sequenced using Illumina pair-end sequencing technology. After assembling, a total of 127263 unigenes were obtained. Functional annotation indicated that the highest percentage of unigenes(18.60%) was annotated on GO database, followed by 18.44% on PFAM database and 17.04% on NR database. There were 270 biological pathways matched with those in KEGG database. Furthermore, a total of 23452 potential simple sequence repeats(SSRs) were identified, of them the most abundant type was mono-nucleotide repeats(12902, 55.01%), which was followed by di-nucleotide(8132, 34.68%), tri-nucleotide(2010, 8.57%), tetra-nucleotide(401, 1.71%), and penta-nucleotide(7, 0.03%) repeats. Sixty SSRs were selected for validating and developing genic SSR markers, of them 23 showed polymorphism in a cultured population with the average observed and expected heterozygosities of 0.412 and 0.579, respectively. In this study, we established the first comprehensive transcript dataset of A. pectinata genes. | 11 | Isolation and Characterization of Melanin Pigment from Yesso Scallop Patinopecten yessoensis显示文摘Melanin is one of the essential compounds in the pigments of molluscan shells.However,the effects of melanin on color variations in molluscs are largely unknown.Our previous study suggests that Yesso scallop Patinopecten yessoensis might contain melanin pigment in the dark brown shell.We therefore isolated melanin from the pigmented shells using hydrochloric acid method,and characterized the types of melanin pigments by spectrophotometry.The purified melanin,which was verified by spectrophotometry scanning and HPLC analysis,showed the typical characteristics of melanin absorption spectra and HPLC chromatograms.The contents of pheomelanin and eumelanin in pigmented shells,which were determined by the linear standard curve of melanin at 405 nm and 350 nm absorbance,were 48.23 ? 1.350 and 157.65 ? 5.905 mg,respectively.The present results indicate that the brown-pigmented shells of scallops comprise approximately 76.6% of eumelanin and 23.4% of pheomelanin,which supports the presence of eumelanin-rich pigment in scallop shells.Therefore,the combination of hydrochloric acid extraction and spectrophotometric quantification is a rapid and efficient method to isolate and quantify melanin in shells.This will facilitate the melanin studies related to shell color polymorphism and the selective breeding of bivalves with different shell colors. | SUN Xiujun WU Biao ZHOU Liqing LIU Zhihong DONG Yinghui YANG Aiguo | 2017 | Journal of Ocean University of China2017,16,2: | 2 |

| 14 | Characteristics of Channeling Flow in Cultivated Horizon of Saline Rice Soil显示文摘By applying bromide ion as tracer,the channeling flow has been quantitatively described in saline rice soil and alkaline soil of Da,an City,Jilin Province of China.Breakthrough curves of bromide ion in the saline rice soils after 1-year cultivation and 5-year cultivation and alkaline soil have been attained.Results show that the rice cultivation practice can improve the alkaline soil structure,however,it can accelerate the development of channeling flow pathway.Therefore,the channeling flow pathway has been developed widely in saline rice soil,but rarely in the alkaline soil.Three models of convection-dispersion equation(CDE),transfer functional model(TFM) and Back-Progation Network(BP Network) were used to simulate the transportation process of bromide ion.The peaks of probability density function of saline rice soil are higher with left skewed feature compared with that of the alkaline soil.It shows that the TFM and CDE can simulate the transportation process of the bromide ion in saline rice soil after 5-year cultivation,however,some deviation exists when it was used to simulate transportation process of bromide ion in saline rice soil after 1-year cul-tivation and alkaline soil;BP network can effectively simulate transportation process of bromide ion in both saline rice soil and alkaline soil. | LUO Jinming DENG Wei ZHANG Xiaoping YANG Fan LI Xiujun | 2006 | Chinese Geographical Science2006,16,4: | 1 |

| 18 | Developmental Dynamics of the Larval Muscle System of Bay Scallop(Argopecten irradians)显示文摘Though the larval development of bivalves has been extensively studied for commercial purposes,the dynamic development of larval muscle system remains largely unknown.In this study,we characterized the larval muscle system at different developmental stages(D-shaped veligers,umbo veligers and spats)in the bay scallop(Argopecten irradians)by phalloidin staining and under a confocal microscopy.The functional muscles are initially established at the early stage of veligers,which have four pairs of velar retractors and one anterior adductor.At the veliger stage,the velum and posterior retractor muscles are functionally important for velar contractility but undergo an irreversible shrink until they disappear at the end of the larval stage.During metamorphosis,three crucial modifications take place in the larval muscle system.The metamorphosis process involves the gradual degeneration of velum retractors,mantle margin development from an unfolded to a three-fold state,and remodeling of the adductor muscle system from dimyarian(two adductors)to monomyarian condition(one adductor)as in juveniles/adults.All retractor muscles are composed of striated muscle,but both anterior and posterior adductors have smooth and striated components.These findings highlight that the morphological changes at different stages are typical features of myogenesis in scallops.The present knowledge on the developmental dynamics of myogenesis in the bay scallop will not only improve our understanding of phenotypic diversity of larval myoanatomy in bivalves,but also provide useful information on the larval culture in hatcheries. | SUN Xiujun LIU Zhihong ZHOU Liqing WU Biao YANG Aiguo TIAN Jiteng | 2020 | Journal of Ocean University of China2020,19,2: | 1 |
| 19 | Joint Acaricidal Action of Diafenthiuron and Fenbutatin-oxide Against Tetranychus cinnabarinus(Boisduval)(Acari: Tetranychidae)显示文摘[Objective]This study was conducted to obtain a new high-efficiency acaricide mixture.[Method]The synergism acaricidal of diafenthiuron and fenbutatin-oxide against carmine spider mite was investigated,and the optimal ratio of both acaricides were determined by means of co-toxicity factors and co-toxicity coefficients(CTC).[Result]At 24 h post-treatment,the LC50values of diafenthiuron and fenbutatin-oxide against T.cinnabarinus female adults were 154.67 and 93.26 mg/L,respectively,and the synergistic mass ratios of diafenthiuron and fenbutatin-oxide ranged from 1:0.06 to 1:0.87,and the optimal diafenthiuron-to-fenbutatin-oxide ratio was 1:0.39 with the LC50and CTC of 67.87 mg/L and 188.93(CTC significantly above 100 strongly indicated synergism),respectively,and the toxicity relative to diafenthiuron and fenbutatin-oxide was 2.28 and 1.37 times,respectively.[Conclusion]The joint acaricidal action of diafenthiuron and fenbutatin-oxide strongly indicates synergism.These findings proved scientific theoretical basis for mixing diafenthiuron and fenbutatin-oxide to control spider mites and developing a new synergisic acaricide. | Zhenguo YANG Daoyan XIE Aisi DA Xiujun JIANG Jing NI Ping HUANG Jianping CHAI Yanjie LUO | 2014 | Agricultural Science & Technology2014,15,12: | 0 |
| 20 | Abnormal Karyotype of Pen Shell (Atrina pectinata) During Its Early Embryonic Development in Late Breeding Season显示文摘The pen shell,Atrina pectinata,distributes globally.It is one of the most important edible bivalves in east Asian countries.However,there are multiple difficulties in rearing pen shell larvae and juveniles because of their high mortality.To understand the mechanism underlining such high mortality at the early embryonic development stage,we obtained approximately 100 million larvae during later breeding season in June,2017,and checked a large amount of mitotic chromosomal plates of the early embryos and post-spawning gonads tissue slices of their parents.The results showed that most diploid A.pectinata embryos have 17 pairs of chromosomes(2n=34)as their parents do.The first pair of particularly large chromosomes are heterotypic in some diploid embryos while they are homomorphic in others.The primary sex-determination chromosome type is XX/XY.A lot of triploid,pentaploid and aneuploid embryos with different numbers of the largest homomorphic or heteromorphic chromosomes were found due to the degeneration of overmatured parent gonads which hold normal karyotype.These larvae will die even though most of them may develop into the trochophore stage with 34 chromosomes.Genetic deficiency of chromosomes will cause a high rate of mortality in early embryos in late breeding season.These findings should enrich the current knowledge of juvenile pen shell aquaculture. | ZHOU Liqing WANG Xuemei YANG Aiguo WU Biao SUN Xiujun LIU Zhihong CHEN Siqing ZHAO Dan | 2020 | Journal of Ocean University of China2020,19,4: | 0 |
