| 1 | Several significant hydrographic characteristics and their formation mechanism in the South China Sea during the spring and summer of 1998显示文摘On the basis of the CTD data obtained by the two cruises before and after summer monsoon burst (25th May, 1998), several significant hydrographic characteristics, their variation and formation mechanism in the South China Sea (SCS) are analyzed. The results show that the Kuroshio water intrudes into the SCS in the form of loop current, and its main part is limited to the east of 118°E near the Luzon Strait. Then it continuously extends westwards under the influence of the large-scale circulation, and has a distinct impact on the area north of 16°N. There are two high temperature and low salinity regions:west off Luzon and east off Vietnam respectively. One region west off Luzon strengthens obviously after summer monsoon burst, the other east off Vietnam shows a tendency of weakening in the north and strengthening in the south. The formation of these two high temperature and low salinity regions is related to the anti-cyclonic eddies existing in this area, besides, it is also related to the high temperature feature west of Luzon, the influx of Sulu Sea water and the influence of the large-scale air circulation. There is a cold region below the depth of 50 m in the south of Zhongsha Islands, and it strengthens after monsoon burst. | 2 | Evolution of Specialization with Reachable Transaction Scope Based on a Simple and Symmetric Firm Resource Allocation Model显示文摘In the last decade, as an emerging transaction measure driven by computer and internet technology,e-commerce experienced explosive growth in many areas. It has greatly broken down the limitations of space and time to economic activities, thus changing the rules of business fundamentally. Significant work has been done to understand the laws of e-commerce from multiple dimensions, but the question of how e-commerce shapes firms' specialization and market structure from the perspective of spatial factors remains obscure. In this paper, we propose a simple and symmetric firm resource allocation model with a specialized-economy production function and market size constraint, to investigate how individual firms adjust resource allocation with reachable transaction scope expanded. It is shown that with the expansion of reachable transaction scope, individual firms discretely take back one unit resource from a low-investment direction and, instead, channel it to a 'specialized direction'.Meanwhile, at the macro level, an optimal division network evolves from a static self-sufficient stage to a diverse semi-specialized stage, and finally to a highly integrated completely specialized stage. Ergo, a Complex Adaptive System(CAS) based simulation framework is constructed. | 4 | Impact of Phase Noise on TDMS Based Calibration for Spaceborne Multi-Beam Antennas显示文摘For spaceborne multi-beam antennas(MBAs), time division multiplexed switching(TDMS) based calibration receiver can reduce implementation costs effectively and is very suitable for large-scale applications. However, in practice, random phase noise imposed by noisy local oscillators can cause significant performance degradation in TDMS-based calibration systems. Characterization of phase noise effects is therefore crucial for practical applications. In this paper, we analyze the impact of phase noise on the calibration performance for a MBA system. Specifically, we derive the relationship between the probability of correct amplitude/phase estimation and various practical factors involving the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR), the standard deviation of phase noise, the given tolerance region, and the length of the spreading code. The results provide high efficiency for evaluating the calibration performance of the MBAs based on TDMS, especially for precisely anticipating the impact of phase noise. | 5 | Architecture of Next-Generation E-Commerce Platform显示文摘E-commerce, driven by computer and internet technology, has experienced a significant growth in almost all fields during the past two decades. E-commerce has significantly changed the rules of business. Numerous research institutions and enterprises have made e-commerce more intelligent and convenient. Here, we propose a novel prototype of next-generation e-commerce platform with an architecture framework and theoretical models.Each subject, including the individual, enterprise, and administrative department, has his/her personalized portal to complete the subject information synchronization, supply release, demand satisfaction, and social contact. By using the personalized portal, instead of the traditional trading platform, the consumers and suppliers can complete intelligent matching transactions without intermediate traders. Moreover, the overall transaction process can be reviewed, making the transaction safer, more transparent, and more interesting. | 8 | Study of the decorporation efficacy and toxicity of tetradentate 3-hydroxy- 2-pyridinone ligands at the cellular level显示文摘Objective:A series of experiments were carried out to study the comparative decorporation efficacy and toxicity of three tetradentate hydroxypyridinone ligands(3LI-1-Cm-3,2-HOPO,5LIO-1-Cm-3,2-HOPO,and 7LIO-1-Cm-3,2-HOPO)with the variation of the linker length and the substituents.Methods:Three ligands were obtained from a 4-step synthesis via the amidation of HOPO unit and different backbones.Potentiometric titrations were carried out to evaluate the formation constants of their corresponding uranyl complexes.CCK-8 and colony formation assays were used to compare the cytotoxicity of the three ligands and uranyl using renal proximal tubular epithelial(NRK-52E)cells.In vitro uranium removal assays were performed to assess decorporation efficiencies of those ligands by co-incubating uranium and chelators with NRK-52E cells for 48 h.Results:Among the three ligands,5LIO-1-Cm-3,2-HOPO exhibits the highest uranyl affinity(logβ110?18.6(7))in comparison to the other two ligands(logβ110?14.9(2)for 3LI-1-Cm-3,2-HOPO and logβ110?16.7(1)for 7LIO-1-Cm-3,2-HOPO).The results of CCK-8 tests and colony formation assays further elucidate that 5LIO-1-Cm-3,2-HOPO and 7LIO-1-Cm-3,2-HOPO both show a similar level of cytotoxicity compared with ZnNa3-DTPA at relatively low ligand concentrations.In contrast,in the 3LI-1-Cm-3,2-HOPO treated group,the cell viability decreased markedly with the increase of the ligand concentrations,and the colony formation capability of NRK-52E cells was inhibited.Furthermore,the comparative decorporation efficacy of the three ligands was obtained from in vitro uranium removal assays,suggesting that these ligands could significantly inhibit the cellular uptake and prompt the cellular release of uranium from NRK-52E cells by the level of 81.9%,91.8%,and 87.1%,respectively.Conclusion:Our current results demonstrate that the linker/backbone species would significantly affect the decorporation efficacy and toxicity of the tetradentate 3-hydroxy-2-pyridinone ligands,which is informative for the future design and modification of novel decorporation ligands. | Xiaomei Wang Cen Shi Manni Gao Ying Xu Yang Jiao Jianmei Wan Jianping Cao Zhifang Chai Juan Diwu | 2020 | Radiation Medicine and Protection2020,1,4: | 1 |

| 10 | Two types of cinnamoyl-Co A reductase function divergently in accumulation of lignins,flavonoids and glucosinolates and enhance lodging resistance in Brassica napus显示文摘Brassica crops,which are of worldwide importance,provide various oil,vegetable and ornamental products,as well as feedstocks for animal husbandry and biofuel industry.Cinnamoyl-Co A reductase(CCR)is the entry point to the lignin pathway and a crucial locus in manipulation of associated traits,but CCRassociated metabolism and traits in Brassica crops have remained largely unstudied except in Arabidopsis thaliana.We report the identification of 16 CCR genes from Brassica napus and its parental species B.rapa and B.oleracea.The Bn CCR1 and Bn CCR2 subfamilies displayed divergent organ-specificity and participation in the yellow-seed trait.Their functions were dissected via overexpression of representative paralogs in B.napus.Bn CCR1 was expressed preferentially in G-and H-lignin biosynthesis and vascular development,while Bn CCR2 was expressed in S-lignin biosynthesis and interfascicular fiber development.Bn CCR1 showed stronger effects on lignification-related development,lodging resistance,phenylpropanoid flux control,and seed coat pigmentation,whereas Bn CCR2 showed a stronger effect on sinapate biosynthesis.Bn CCR1 upregulation delayed bolting and flowering time,while Bn CCR2 upregulation weakened the leaf vascular system in consequence of suppressed G-lignin accumulation.Bn CCR1 and Bn CCR2 were closely but almost oppositely linked with glucosinolate metabolism via inter-pathway crosstalk.We conclude that Bn CCR1 and Bn CCR2 subfamilies offer great but differing potential for manipulating traits associated with phenylpropanoids and glucosinolates.This study reveals the CCR1–CCR2 divergence in Brassicaceae and offers a resource for rapeseed breeding for lodging resistance,yellowseed traits,and glucosinolate traits. | Nengwen Yin Bo Li Xue Liu Ying Liang Jianping Lian Yufei Xue Cunmin Qu Kun Lu Lijuan Wei Rui Wang Jiana Li Yourong Chai | 2022 | The Crop Journal2022,10,3: | 1 |

| 12 | Joint Acaricidal Action of Diafenthiuron and Fenbutatin-oxide Against Tetranychus cinnabarinus(Boisduval)(Acari: Tetranychidae)显示文摘[Objective]This study was conducted to obtain a new high-efficiency acaricide mixture.[Method]The synergism acaricidal of diafenthiuron and fenbutatin-oxide against carmine spider mite was investigated,and the optimal ratio of both acaricides were determined by means of co-toxicity factors and co-toxicity coefficients(CTC).[Result]At 24 h post-treatment,the LC50values of diafenthiuron and fenbutatin-oxide against T.cinnabarinus female adults were 154.67 and 93.26 mg/L,respectively,and the synergistic mass ratios of diafenthiuron and fenbutatin-oxide ranged from 1:0.06 to 1:0.87,and the optimal diafenthiuron-to-fenbutatin-oxide ratio was 1:0.39 with the LC50and CTC of 67.87 mg/L and 188.93(CTC significantly above 100 strongly indicated synergism),respectively,and the toxicity relative to diafenthiuron and fenbutatin-oxide was 2.28 and 1.37 times,respectively.[Conclusion]The joint acaricidal action of diafenthiuron and fenbutatin-oxide strongly indicates synergism.These findings proved scientific theoretical basis for mixing diafenthiuron and fenbutatin-oxide to control spider mites and developing a new synergisic acaricide. | Zhenguo YANG Daoyan XIE Aisi DA Xiujun JIANG Jing NI Ping HUANG Jianping CHAI Yanjie LUO | 2014 | Agricultural Science & Technology2014,15,12: | 0 |
| 13 | Twenty years of ocean observations with China Argo显示文摘The international Argo program,a global observational array of nearly 4000 autonomous profiling floats initiated in the late 1990s,which measures the water temperature and salinity of the upper 2000 m of the global ocean,has revolutionized oceanography.It has been recognized one of the most successful ocean observation systems in the world.Today,the proposed decade action“OneArgo”for building an integrated global,full-depth,and multidisciplinary ocean observing array for beyond 2020 has been endorsed.In the past two decades since 2002,with more than 500 Argo deployments and 80 operational floats currently,China has become an important partner of the Argo program.Two DACs have been established to process the data reported from all Chinese floats and deliver these data to the GDACs in real time,adhering to the unified quality control procedures proposed by the Argo Data Management Team.Several Argo products have been developed and released,allowing accurate estimations of global ocean warming,sea level change and the hydrological cycle,at interannual to decadal scales.In addition,Deep and BGC-Argo floats have been deployed,and time series observations from these floats have proven to be extremely useful,particularly in the analysis of synoptic-scale to decadal-scale dynamics.The future aim of China Argo is to build and maintain a regional Argo fleet comprising approximately 400 floats in the northwestern Pacific,South China Sea,and Indian Ocean,accounting for 9%of the global fleet,in addition to maintaining 300 Deep Argo floats in the global ocean(25%of the global Deep Argo fleet).A regional BGC-Argo array in the western Pacific also needs to be established and maintained. | Zenghong Liu Xiaogang Xing Zhaohui Chen Shaolei Lu Xiaofen Wu Hong Li Chunling Zhang Lijing Cheng Zhaoqin Li Chaohui Sun Jianping Xu Dake Chen Fei Chai | 2023 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,2: | 0 |
