| 2 | New Bradoriid Arthropods from the Early Cambrian Balang Formation of Eastern Guizhou, South China显示文摘The Early Cambrian Balang Formation is comprised of mudrock and shale, which was deposited in a shelf environment in the eastern part of Guizhou, south China. The Balang Fauna, which consists of seven phyla, occurs in the middle and upper parts of the Balang Formation. Arthropods are important constituents of the Balang Fauna and include a great number of trilobites, large bivalved arthropods, and newly-discovered well-preserved bradoriid fossils. The bradoriids present include three genera and four species : Comptaluta inflata (Cheng, 1974) emend Hou et al., 2002; Comptaluta kailiensis sp. nov., and Alutella elongeta sp. nov., Aluta sp. This faunal assemblage in the Balang Formation is distinguished from the Tsunyiella Chang, 1964, Songlinella Yin, 1978 and Kunmingella Hou, 1956 assemblage which occurs in the Niutitang and Mingxinsi formations of the Yangtze Platform in middle region of Guizhou and which is earlier than the Balang Formation in age. However, this assemblage resembles the Comptaluta pik, 1968 assemblage from the Early Cambrian Heilinpu Formation in Wuding County, Yuanan Province and from the Ordian Stage of the Cambrian of Australia. The great abundance of Comptaluta pik, 1968 and overall taxonomic diversity of the Comptaluta pik, 1968 assemblage set it distinctly apart from the Alutella Kobayashi et Kato, 1951 and Aluta Hou, 1956 assemblages of the Balang Formation. Alutella Kobayashi et Kato, 1951 and Aluta Hou, 1956 also occur in the Early Cambrian Niutitang Formation of the Yangtze Platform of Guizhou. Individual Bradoriids from the Balang Formation are characterized by large size (>3 mm). | 4 | X-ray pulsar-based navigation using pulse phase and Doppler frequency measurements显示文摘In order to eliminate the impact of the Doppler effects caused by the motion of the spacecraft on the X-ray pulsar-based navigation, an innovative navigation method using the pulse phase and Doppler frequency measurements of the X-ray pulsars is proposed. Given the initial estimate of the spacecraft's state,the real-time photon arrival model is established at the spacecraft with respect to the spacecraft's position and velocity predicted by the orbit dynamic model and their estimation errors. On this basis, a maximum likelihood estimation algorithm directly using the observed photon event timestamps is developed to extract a single pair of pulse phase and Doppler frequency measurements caused by the spacecraft's state estimation error. Since the phase estimation error increases as the observation time increases, we propose a new measurement updating scheme of referring the measurements to the middle time of an observation interval. By using the ground-based simulation system of X-ray pulsar signals, a series of photon-level simulations are performed. This paper reports and describes a new arthropod from the yellowish green mudstone at the lower part of the Wulongqing Formation, Canglangpuan Stage, Lower Cambrian in Kunming, Yunnan, China. The stratigraphic and geographic distribution, classification, fossil preservation, life style of this new arthropod and comparisons with other fossil arthropods are also discussed in details. The discovery and research of the non-mineralized arthropod, Guangweicaris Luo, Fu et Hu gen. nov. from the Guanshan Fauna adds new members to the taxonomic list and provides new information to the evolution of early arthropods. | 8 | Coupled trace element and SIMS sulfur isotope geochemistry of sedimentary pyrite:Implications on pyrite growth of Caixiashan Pb-Zn deposit显示文摘Colloform pyrite with core-rim texture is commonly deposited in carbonate platforms associated with the sulfide ores such as the Caixiashan Pb-Zn deposit.However,the genesis of colloform pyrite in Pb-Zn deposits,its growth controls and their geological implication are insufficiently understood.Integration of in-situ trace element and SIMS sulfur isotopes has revealed geochemical variations among these pyrite layers.These colloform pyrite occur as residual phases of core-rim aggregates,the cores are made up of very fine-grained anhedral pyrite particles,with some rims being made up of fine-grained and poorlycrystallized pyrite,while the other rims were featured with euhedral cubic pyrite.which are cemented by fine-grained calcite and/or dolomite with minor quartz.Sulfur isotope analysis shows that some wellpreserved rims have negative δ^34 S values(-28.12‰to-0.49‰),whereas most of the cores and rims have positive δ^34 S values(>0 to+44.28‰;peak at+14.91‰).Integrating with the methane and sulfate were observed in previous fluid inclusion study,we suggest that the 34 S depleted rims were initially formed by bacteria sulfate reduction(BSR),whereas the positive δ^34 S values were resulted from the sulfate reduction driven by anaerobic methane oxidation(AOM).The well-developed authigenic pyrite and calcite may also support the reaction of AOM.Combined with petrographic observations,trace element composition of the colloform pyrite reveals the incorporation and precipitation behavior of those high abundance elements in the pyrite:Pb and Zn were present as mineral inclusion and likely precipitated before Fe,as supported by the time-resolved Pb-Zn signal spikes in most of the analyzed pyrite grains.Other metals,such as Hg,Co and Ni,may have migrated as chloride complexes and entered the pyrite lattice.Arsenic and Sb,generally influenced by complex-forming reactions rather than substitution ones,could also enter the pyrite lattice,or slightly predate the precipitation of colloform pyrite as mineral inclusions,which are controlled by their hydrolysis constant in the ore fluids.The colloform pyrite may have grown inward from the rims.The successive BSR reaction process would enrich H^32/2S in the overlying water column but reduce the metal content,the nucleation of these pyrite rims was featured by strongly negative sulfur isotopes.The following AOM process should be activated by deformation like the turbidity sediment of the mudstone as the sulfide deposition are associated with fault activities that caused the emission of methane migration upward and simultaneously replenishing the metal in the column.The higher AOM reaction rate and the higher metal supply(not only Fe.but with minor other metals such as Pb and Zn) caused by sediment movement enhanced the metal concentration within the pyrite lattice. | Dengfeng Li Huayong Chen Xiaoming Sun Yu Fu Qiaofen Liu Xiaoping Xia Qing Yang | 2019 | Geoscience Frontiers2019,10,6: | 4 |
| 9 | Asymmetric distribution of cytokinins determines root hydrotropism in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘The phenomenon of plant root tips sensing moisture gradient in soil and growing towards higher water potential is designated as root hydrotropism,which is critical for plants to survive when water is a limited factor.Molecular mechanisms regulating such a fundamental process,however,are largely unknown.Here we report our identification that cytokinins are key signaling molecules directing root growth orientation in a hydrostimulation(moisture gradient)condition.Lower water potential side of the root tip shows more cytokinin response relative to the higher water potential side.Consequently,two cytokinin downstream type-A response regulators,ARR16 and ARR17,were found to be up-regulated at the lower water potential side,causing increased cell division in the meristem zone,which allows the root to bend towards higher water potential side.Genetic analyses indicated that various cytokinin biosynthesis and signaling mutants,including the arr16 arr17 double mutant,are significantly less responsive to hydrostimulation.Consistently,treatments with chemical inhibitors interfering with either cytokinin biosynthesis or cell division completely abolished root hydrotropic response.Asymmetrically induced expression of ARR16 or ARR17 effectively led to root bending in both wild-type and miz1,a previously known hydrotropism-defective mutant.These data demonstrate that asymmetric cytokinin distribution is a primary determinant governing root hydrotropism. | Jinke Chang Xiaopeng Li Weihao Fu Jiawen Wang Yueyuan Yong Hongyong Shi Zhaojun Ding Hong Kui Xiaoping Gou Kai He Jia Li | 2019 | Cell Research2019,29,12: | 4 |

| 11 | Formation mechanism of shrinkage and large inclusions of a 70t 12Cr2Mo1 heavy steel ingot显示文摘Shrinkage cavities and large inclusions are serious internal defects of heavy steel ingot and influence the quality of subsequent forgings. In order to remove these two types of defects, a 70 t 12Cr2Mo1 heavy ingot fabricated by vacuum carbon de-oxidation process was sectioned and investigated by means of structure observation and EDS analysis. To further study the forming mechanism of shrinkage and inclusion defects and find possible solutions, simulation on pouring and solidification processes was also carried out using Fluent and ProCAST software, respectively. Results show that the shrinkage defects do not appear in the middle-upper part of the ingot. The critical value of shrinkage cavity criterion is ascertained as 0.013 on the basis of sectioning investigation and simulation results, which can be used in computer simulation to predict and avoid shrinkage defects in production of 12Cr2Mo1 ingots with different weights. However, large inclusions are found at the bottom of the ingot body. The bad thermal conditions of the ingot surface and large amount of entrained slag are the main origin of the large inclusions. | 14 | The protective effect and crucial biological pathways analysis of Trametes lactinea mycelium polysaccharides on acute alcoholic liver injury in mice based on transcriptomics and metabonomics显示文摘Trametes lactinea mycelia polysaccharides(TLMPS)have a wide range of bioactivities.The potential mechanisms of action of TLMPS against acute alcohol-induced liver injury in vivo were investigated by analyzing the physical and chemical properties of TLMPS and its protective effects on a mouse model of alcoholic liver injury.TLMPS protected the liver against alcohol-induced injury,as evidenced by the reduced alcohol-induced elevation of the liver index,serum biochemical indices,and maintenance of hepatic morphology.Potential mechanisms were analyzed using transcriptome and metabolome analyses.The transcriptome data revealed the involvement of many differentially expressed genes in chemical carcinogenesis,drug metabolism,and metabolism of xenobiotics by cytochrome P450.The metabolome analysis revealed that TLMPS significantly regulated specific metabolites in the liver,including organic acids,lipids,nucleosides,and organic oxygen compounds.KEGG enrichment analysis revealed the signifi cant involvement of different metabolites in choline metabolism,ATP-binding cassette transporters,and glycerophospholipid metabolism.Assessment of the changes in gene expression and metabolites revealed the significantly different expression of several genes encoding key enzymes and metabolites in choline metabolism pathway.The collective fi ndings confi rmed that choline metabolism plays an important role in the protective effects of TLMPS against acute alcoholic liver injury. | Jinbin Hao Liyun Ye Guoliang Meng Yanjiao Song Junsheng Fu Xiaoping Wu | 2021 | Food Science and Human Wellness2021,10,4: | 2 |
| 15 | Integrated lens auto-focus system driven by a nut-type ultrosonic motor (USM)显示文摘This paper introduces an integrated optical auto-focus system driven by a nut-type ultrasonic motor (USM). The system comprises an optical lens as a rotor (M6 or M7), a polyhedral tube of copper as a stator; an image sensor, and a driver IC of the motor. The sizes of the AF (auto-focus) module are 8.5 mm×8.5 mm×5.9 mm. The piezoelectric elements are bonded on the external surface of the stator. The rotor has external screw thread that engages with the inner screw thread of the stator. When the piezoelectric elements are excited by the driver IC, a bend traveling wave in plane is generated on the stator along the circle direction, that drives the lens rotor to rotate and then to move axially. The driver IC is controlled by an image feedback of an image sensor centered on the axis of the casing, then the optical focusing is realized. The power consumption is zero at rest and is less than 0.25 W in motion; focusing precision <10 μm; speed >3 r/s(180 r/min); response <10 ms; high reliability: resistant to shock and fall off; directly driven by the driver IC without transmission mechanism; the friction force is namely the driving force and noiseless. The integrated optical auto-focus system is very useful, especially for cellular phones.
