Relocation of the 10 March 2011 Yingjiang,China, earthquake sequence and its tectonic implications显示文摘An earthquake with MS5.8 occurred on 10 March 2011 in Yingjiang county, western Yunnan,China. This earthquake caused 25 deaths and over 250 injuries. In order to better understand the seismotectonics in the region,we collected the arrival time data from the Yunnan seismic observational bulletins during 1 January to 25 March 2011,and precisely hand-picked the arrival times from high-quality seismograms that were recorded by the temporary seismic stations deployed by our Institute of Crustal Dynamics,China Earthquake Administration.Using these arrival times,we relocated all the earthquakes including the Yingjiang mainshock and its aftershocks using the double-difference relocation algorithm. Our results show that the relocated earthquakes dominantly occurred along the ENE direction and formed an upside-down bow-shaped structure in depth. It is also observed that after the Yingjiang mainshock, some aftershocks extended toward the SSE over about 10 km.These results may indicate that the Yingjiang mainshock ruptured a conjugate fault system consisting of the ENE trending Da Yingjiang fault and a SSE trending blind fault.Such structural features could contribute to severely seismic hazards during the moderate-size Yingjiang earthquake. | Jianshe Lei Guangwei Zhang Furen Xie Yuan Li Youjin Su Lifang Liu Honghu Ma Junwei Zhang | 2012 | Earthquake Science2012,25,1: | 35
Edible Peanut Worm(Sipunculus nudus) in the Beibu Gulf: Resource, Aquaculture, Ecological Impact and Counterplan显示文摘Sipunculus nudus is an important economic species because of its high nutritional and medicinal values. The exploitation and utilization of S. nudus primarily occur in the coastal regions of the Beibu Gulf. However, wild resource of S. nudus is rapidly decreasing because of the overexploitation, which has led to considerable developments of artificial breeding techniques. The cultivation scale of S. nudus has increased in response to successful artificial breeding; however, methods for culturing S. nudus in tidal flats or ponds require further study. Most studies have focused on the breeding, nutrition, medical value and ecological impact of these worms. Studies on the distribution, sediment requirements, nutrition characteristics, breeding techniques and aquaculture ecology of this species are summarized in this paper to promote the development of the aquaculture industry for S. nudus. The high biomass of S. nudus in the Beibu Gulf is positively correlated with the sediment characteristics and water quality of the region. The production of peanut worm has improved to some extent through culturing; however, the nutrient value and ecological environment problems have been observed, which reflect the over exploitation of trace elements and the sediment. These problems will worsen unless they are resolved, and the release of organic materials, nitrogen and phosphorus during harvesting impacts the coastal environment. Moreover, genetic erosion is a potential risk for larvae in artificial breeding programs in tidal flats. Therefore, culturing and collecting methods should be improved and the wild resource conservation should be implemented to promote the sustainable development of the peanut worm. | LI Junwei XIE Xiaoyong ZHU Changbo GUO Yongjian CHEN Suwen | 2017 | Journal of Ocean University of China2017,16,5: | 10
Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm Based on Entropy Theory for Solving DAR Scheduling Problem显示文摘An efficient task-scheduling algorithm in the Digital Array Radar(DAR) is essential to ensure that it can handle a large number of requested tasks simultaneously. As a solution to this problem, in this paper, we propose an optimization model for scheduling DAR tasks using a hybrid approach. The optimization model considers the internal task structure and the DAR task-scheduling characteristic. The hybrid approach integrates a particle swarm optimization algorithm with a genetic algorithm and a heuristic task-interleaving algorithm. We introduce the chaos theory to optimize initialized particles and use entropy theory to indicate the diversity of particles and adaptively adjust the inertia weight, the crossover probability, and the mutation probability. Then, we improve both the efficiency and global exploration ability of the hybrid algorithm. In the framework of the swarm exploration algorithm, we include a heuristic task-interleaving scheduling algorithm, which not only utilizes the wait interval to transmit or receive subtasks, but also overlaps the receive intervals of different tasks. In a large-scale simulation,we demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is more robust and effective than existing algorithms. | Haowei Zhang Junwei Xie Jiaang Ge Junpeng Shi Zhaojian Zhang | 2019 | Tsinghua Science and Technology2019,24,3: | 8
Finite sensor selection algorithm in distributed MIMO radar for joint target tracking and detection显示文摘Due to the requirement of anti-interception and the limitation of processing capability of the fusion center, the subarray selection is very important for the distributed multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) radar system, especially in the hostile environment. In such conditions, an efficient subarray selection strategy is proposed for MIMO radar performing tasks of target tracking and detection. The goal of the proposed strategy is to minimize the worst-case predicted posterior Cramer-Rao lower bound(PCRLB) while maximizing the detection probability for a certain region. It is shown that the subarray selection problem is NP-hard, and a modified particle swarm optimization(MPSO) algorithm is developed as the solution strategy. A large number of simulations verify that the MPSO can provide close performance to the exhaustive search(ES) algorithm. Furthermore, the MPSO has the advantages of simpler structure and lower computational complexity than the multi-start local search algorithm. | ZHANG Haowei XIE Junwei GE Jiaang ZHANG Zhaojian LU Wenlong | 2020 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2020,31,2: | 5
Pulse interleaving scheduling algorithm for digital array radar显示文摘An online pulse interleaving scheduling algorithm is proposed for a solution to the task scheduling problem in the digital array radar(DAR). The full DAR task structure is explicitly considered in a way that the waiting duration is able to be utilized to transmit or receive subtasks, namely the pulse interleaving,as well as the receiving durations of different tasks are able to be overlapped. The algorithm decomposes the pulse interleaving scheduling analysis into the time constraint check and the energy constraint check, and schedules online all kinds of tasks that are able to be interleaved. Thereby the waiting duration and the receiving duration in the DAR task are both fully utilized. The simulation results verify the performance improvement and the high efficiency of the proposed algorithm compared with the existing ones. | ZHANG Haowei XIE Junwei ZHANG Zhaojian ZONG Binfeng SHENG Chuan | 2018 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2018,29,1: | 3
Method to reconnoiter pulse amplitude train for phased array radar based on Hausdorff distance显示文摘This paper presents a method to estimate beam pointing of phased array radar by the pulse amplitude train, which is significant in radar electronic reconnaissance and electronic support measure. Firstly, the antenna patterns modeling of the phased array system is exploited to build the radar sweeping model and the signal propagation model. Secondly, the relationship between the variation of the radiated power and the antenna beam pointing angles in the given airspace is analyzed. Based on the above two points, the sample with obvious amplitude characteristics of the pulse amplitude train can be screened out after detecting the train peaks. Finally, the sample is matched to the subsequent pulse amplitude train based on the Hausdorff distance. The proposed methods have less prior knowledge and higher efficiency and are easier to process. By cross correlating the sample of the pulse amplitude train with the sample data of the antenna follow-up radiation, the probability of detection of the beam pointing direction becomes larger in case that the subsequent antenna beam returns to the specific position. | Chuan Sheng Yongshun Zhang Wenlong Lu Junwei Xie | 2017 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2017,28,6: | 3
Antenna selection in MIMO radar with collocated antennas显示文摘An antenna adjustment strategy is developed for the target tracking problem in the collocated multiple-input multipleoutput(MIMO)radar. The basic technique of this strategy is to optimally allocate antennas by the prior information in the tracking recursive period, with the objective of enhancing the worst-case estimate precision of multiple targets. On account of the posterior Cramer-Rao lower bound(PCRLB)offering a quantitative measure for target tracking accuracy, the PCRLB of joint direction-of-arrival(DOA)and Doppler is derived and utilized as the optimization criterion. It is shown that the dynamic antenna selection problem is NP-hard,and an efficient technique which combines convex relaxation with local search is put forward as the solution.Simulation results demonstrate the outperformance of the proposed strategy to the fixed antenna configuration and heuristic search algorithm. Moreover,it is able to offer close-to performance of the exhaustive search method. | ZHANG Haowei XIE Junwei SHI Junpeng ZHANG Zhaojian | 2019 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2019,30,6: | 3
Variable scheduling interval task scheduling for phased array radar显示文摘A scheduling algorithm is presented aiming at the task scheduling problem in the phased array radar. Rather than assuming the scheduling interval(SI) time, which is the update interval of the radar invoking the scheduling algorithm, to be a fixed value,it is modeled as a fuzzy set to improve the scheduling flexibility. The scheduling algorithm exploits the fuzzy set model in order to intelligently adjust the SI time. The idle time in other SIs is provided for SIs which will be overload. Thereby more request tasks can be accommodated. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm improves the successful scheduling ratio by 16%,the threat ratio of execution by 16% and the time utilization ratio by 15% compared with the highest task mode priority first(HPF)algorithm. | ZHANG Haowei XIE Junwei ZHANG Zhaojian SHAO Lei CHEN Tangjun | 2018 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2018,29,5: | 3
Effects of Dietary Vitamins A,B_2,and B_6 Supplementation on Growth and Feed Utilization of Juvenile Chinese Soft-shelled Turtle Pelodiscus sinensis according to an Orthogonal Array Experiment显示文摘An orthogonal experimental design OA_9(3~3) was used to evaluate the effects of vitamins(A, B_2, and B_6) on the growth and digestive ability of the juvenile Chinese soft-shelled turtle, Pelodiscus sinensis(initial weight, 5.9±0.2 g). A total of 135 turtles were divided into 9 groups, which each included 15 individuals. The results revealed that vitamin A(VA) had the strongest impacts on the growth rate and feed utilization among the three vitamins; 35,000 IU kg^(-1) VA had optimal effects on the feeding intake and specific growth rate, and 20,000 IU kg^(-1) VA had optimal effects on protein digestibility and the feed conversion ratio. Vitamin B_2(VB_2) was essential for regulating protein deposition and the energy efficiency for growth of the turtles; 120 mg kg^(-1) VB_2 resulted in increased protein and energy deposition, and 180 mg kg^(-1) VB_2 had greater beneficial effects on the growth rate. Vitamin B_6(VB_6) had important effects on protein and feed efficiency; however, VB_6 at an excessive level(120 mg kg^(-1)) restricted turtle growth. Based on the above growth results, dietary supplementation of VA, VB_2 and VB_6 at levels of 35,000 IU kg^(-1), 180 mg kg^(-1) and 70 mg kg^(-1), respectively, were recommended for the juvenile soft-shelled turtle. | Junwei LI Zhencai YANG Xiaoling HAN Quansen XIE Haiyan LIU | 2016 | Asian Herpetological Research2016,7,4: | 2
Comparative Study on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Mg-Li-Al Based Alloys with Yttrium and Strontium Addition显示文摘The effects of yttrium and strontium on the microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-11Li-3Al magnesium alloy(LA113) are compared and analyzed. Microstructures and phases of the alloys were studied with optical microscope(OM), scanning electron microscope(SEM), X-ray diffractometer(XRD) and energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS). Mechanical properties of alloys were measured with tensile tester. The results show that yttrium and/or strontium additions produce a strong grain refi ning effect in LA113 alloy. Al2 Y and Al4 Sr, etc. phases with different morphologies are verifi ed and exist inside the grain or at the grain boundaries, which directly impact on the mechanical properties of LA113 alloy. The results of tensile tests show that, the as-extruded LA113-1Y-1Sr alloy obtains the optimal tensile property of which the tensile strength and elongation are 253.56 MPa and 18.12%, the tensile strength is increased by almost 25% compared with the asextruded LA113 alloy. | 许天才 彭晓东 JIANG Junwei XIE Weidong CHEN Yuanfang ZHANG Xi | 2015 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2015,30,3: | 2
Effects of GA3 and ABA on the respiratory pathways during the secondary bud burst in black currants显示文摘The effects of exogenous gibberellic acid(GA_3)and abscisic acid(ABA) on the total respiratory rate, percentages of total respiratory rate contributed by respiratory pathways [Embden-Meyerhof-Parnas Pathway(EMP),Pentose Phosphate Pathway(PPP), and Tricarboxylic Acid Cycle(TCA)], and conversion of starch to soluble sugars in the buds of black currants during secondary bud burst were investigated to determine the relationship between respiratory rates and secondary bud burst. ‘Adelinia', a black currant cultivar that is prone to secondary bud burst after the first harvest, was used in this study. Mature bushes of Adelinia were sprayed with 30 mg/L GA_3 and 50 mg/L ABA to manipulate bud burst. The results showed that exogenous applications of GA_3 and ABA had opposite effects on bud respiratory rate. Generally, GA_3 treatment increased the total respiratory rate and respiratory rate of the TCA and PPP, and the respiratory rates after GA_3 treatment were higher than those of control. While ABA treatment mostly decreased the total respiratory rate and the respiratory rate of TCA and PPP in buds in comparison to control. In terms of the percentage of the three respiratory rates in comparison to the total respiratory rate, GA_3 treatment significantly increased the percentage of TCA and PPP respiratory rate in comparison to the control(P \ 0.01), whereas ABA decreased the rates. GA_3 significantly increased the content of soluble sugars and decreased the starch content, while the starch content in buds after ABA treatment was significantly higher than that of the control. All results showed that PPP is a critical process for the second bud burst in black currants. While the EMP–TCA pathway is still dominant in bud respiration, provides a series of basic materials and energy(ATP). The conversion of starch to soluble sugars is essential for bud burst. Thus, we conclude that an energy shortage is a main contributor in ABA inhibition of the secondary bud burst of black currants. | Dong Qin Huanhuan Wang Chunhao Zhang Zeyuan Yu Yu Gary Gao Fuchun Xie Ning Hung Junwei Huo | 2017 | Journal of Forestry Research2017,28,4: | 2
Beamforming analysis based on CSB sin-FDA显示文摘This paper studies the adaptive beamforming algorithm based on the frequency diverse array(FDA)array where the interference is located at the same angle(but different range)with the target. We take the cross subarray-based FDA with sinusoidal frequency offset(CSB sin-FDA)as the receiving array instead of the basic FDA.The sampling covariance matrix under insufficient snapshot can be corrected by the automatic diagonal loading method. On the basis of decomposing the mismatched steering vector error into a vertical component and a parallel one, this paper searches the vertical component of the error by the quadratic constraint method. The numerical simulation verifies that the beamformer based on the CSB sin-FDA can effectively hold the mainlobe at the target position when the snapshot is insufficient or the steering vector is mismatched. | WANG Bo XIE Junwei ZHANG Jing ZHANG Haowei | 2020 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2020,31,1: | 2
Dot-shaped beamforming analysis based on OSB log-FDA显示文摘The range and angle information of the frequency diverse array(FDA) cannot be exclusively determined at the output of the array because of the range-angle coupled transmit beampattern. The best decoupling approach is to form a dot-shaped beampattern rather than the S-shaped beampattern of the basic FDA.Considering the degradation of the output signal-to-interferenceplus-noise ratio(SINR) caused by the coupled beampattern, we propose a dot-shaped beamforming method based on the analyzed overlapping subarray-based using a logarithmic offset and a subarray-based planar FDA using a logarithmically increasing frequency offset, with elements transmitting at multiple frequencies. Several simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method in transmit energy focusing, sidelobe suppression and array resolution. | WANG Bo XIE Junwei ZHANG Jing ZHANG Haowei | 2020 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2020,31,2: | 1
Tunnel elasticity enhancement effect of 3D submicron ceramics(A_(l)2O_(3),TiO_(2),ZrO_(2)) fiber on polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)显示文摘Some polymers are flexible, foldable, and wearable.Structural-functional composite is fabricated by adding inorganic fillers with functional properties.Up to date, compared with the polymer matrix, the composite prepared by polymer-inorganic fillers has lower flexibility, higher brittleness, and higher modulus of elasticity. In this paper,three-dimensional (3D) net-shaped submicron α-Al_(2)O_(3),orthorhombic ZrO_(2),and rutile TiO_(2) fiber were fabricated by solution blowing spinning on a large scale. On the contrary, the elastic modulus (E) of the composite prepared by this 3D ceramic fiber was greatly reduced, and the flexibility of the composite was higher than that of the polymer matrix. When the strain was 75%,the E of the 3D net-shaped Al_(2)O_(3) fiber-polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) composite was 20% lower than that of PDMS.When the strain was 78%,the E of the 3D net-shaped TiO_(2) fiber-PDMS and 3D net-shaped ZrO_(2) fiber-PDMS composites decreased by 20% and 25%,respectively.This abnormal effect, namely the tunnel elastic enhancement effect, has great practical significance. In all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries, the composite inhibits lithium dendrite growth and the 3D inorganic network contributes to lithium ion transport. It is possible to promote the industrial production of low-cost and large-scale flexible solid-state lithium-ion batteries and it can enhance the energy storage density of energy storage materials. This novel idea also has bright prospects in flexible electronic materials. | Yuxiu HAO Junwei XIE Bingqing XU Bingkun HU Yunpeng ZHENG Yang SHEN | 2021 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2021,10,3: | 1
Parameterized time-frequency analysis to separate multi-radar signals显示文摘Multi-radar signal separation is a critical process in modern reconnaissance systems. However, the complicated battlefield is typically confronted with increasing electronic equipment and complex radar waveforms. The intercepted signal is difficult to separate with conventional parameters because of severe overlapping in both time and frequency domains. On the contrary, timefrequency analysis maps the 1D signal into a 2D time-frequency plane, which provides a better insight into the signal than traditional methods. Particularly, the parameterized time-frequency analysis(PTFA) shows great potential in processing such nonstationary signals. Five procedures for the PTFA are proposed to separate the overlapped multi-radar signal, including initiation, instantaneous frequency estimation with PTFA, signal demodulation, signal separation with adaptive filter and signal recovery. The proposed method is verified with both simulated and real signals, which shows good performance in the application on multi-radar signal separation. | Wenlong Lu Junwei Xie Heming Wang Chuan Sheng | 2017 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2017,28,3: | 1

Fewer is more:efficient object detection in large aerial images显示文摘Current mainstream object detection methods for large aerial images usually divide large images into patches and then exhaustively detect the objects of interest on all patches,no matter whether there exist objects or not. This paradigm, although effective,is inefficient because the detectors have to go through all patches, severely hindering the inference speed. This paper presents an objectness activation network(OAN) to help detectors focus on fewer patches but achieve more efficient inference and more accurate results, enabling a simple and effective solution to object detection in large images. In brief,OAN is a light fully-convolutional network for judging whether each patch contains objects or not, which can be easily integrated into many object detectors and jointly trained with them end-to-end.We extensively evaluate our OAN with five advanced detectors.Using OAN,all five detectors acquire more than 30.0% speed-up on three large-scale aerial image datasets, meanwhile with consistent accuracy improvements. On extremely large Gaofen-2 images(29200 × 27620 pixels),our OAN improves the detection speed by 70.5%.Moreover,we extend our OAN to driving-scene object detection and 4K video object detection, boosting the detection speed by 112.1% and 75.0%,respectively,without sacrificing the accuracy. | Xingxing XIE Gong CHENG Qingyang LI Shicheng MIAO Ke LI Junwei HAN | 2024 | Science China(Information Sciences)2024,67,1: | 1
Emergency Control Strategy for Power Systems with Renewables Considering a Utility-scale Energy Storage Transient显示文摘Integration of renewable energy generators has greatly altered both static and dynamic characteristics of the system.Combined with the uncertainties it introduced, the risk of a system being transient instable is significantly alleviated. This paper proposes a multi-objective coordinated post-contingency control method. It aims to increase post-contingency system security with emergence control(EC)while minimizing the total control cost. Two ECs are adopted in this paper:energy storage systems(ESSs)and emergency load shedding(ELS).ESSs are immediately connected to the network after contingency occurrence to provide both active and reactive power support.ELS will be triggered when the support from ESSs is insufficient to stabilize the system to prevent further deterioration of system security.Performance of the proposed method was evaluated on a modified New England 39-bus benchmark system. The results indicate that the proposed method can find solutions to stabilize the system against credible contingencies and optimally balance between system stability and economy. | Xuekuan Xie Yuchen Zhang Ke Meng Zhao Yang Dong Junwei Liu | 2021 | CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2021,7,5: | 1
Adaptive transmit beamspace optimization design based on RD-log-FDA radar显示文摘Because of the range-angle dependency in random log frequency diverse array(RD-log-FDA) radar, a method for designing beamspace transformation matrix in angle and range based on the receive signal has been proposed. It is demonstrated that the designed beamspace transformation matrix basically meets the requirements of beam gain. However, there are some problems in the transformation matrix designed, such as unstable beam gain and high sidelobe.Hence, we propose an optimization method by adjusting array element spacing and random number in frequency offset to get the optimum beam gain. Therefore, particle swarm optimization(PSO) is used to find the optimal solution. The beam gain comparison before and after the optimization is obtained by simulation, and the results show that the optimized array after beamspace preprocessing has more stable beam gain, lower sidelobe, and higher resolution in parameter estimation. In conclusion, the RD-log-FDA is capable of forming desired beam gain in angle and distance through beamspace preprocessing, and suppressing interference signals in other areas. | DING Zihang XIE Junwei LI Zhengjie | 2022 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2022,33,1: | 1
Cognate pulse sorting method based on beam missions characteristics显示文摘In most multi-function phased array radar applications, multiple missions, including airspace searching and target tracking, are usually performed simultaneously by the digital beam-forming technique and the time dividing method. This paper presents a novel method to classify pulses of different missions from an interleaved pulse sequence emitted by the same radar, which is significant in radar electronic reconnaissance and electronic support measure. Firstly, two hypotheses, i.e., pulse relativity within the same mission and pulse independence among different missions, are proposed by analyzing the antenna pattern and the beam scheduling method of the phased array radar. Based on the above two hypotheses, an optimal model for pulse classification is exploited with pulse amplitude series, where the absolute-value sum of second order difference is taken as the optimal kernel to measure sequence smooth continuity. Finally, several pieces of sequences under different numbers of missions and tracking data rates are simulated for algorithm verification. The simulation results show that the long data length and the high data rate will increase classification efficiency due to the validity of the two hypotheses in sufficient pulse amplitude sequence. | Wenlong Lu Junwei Xie Heming Wang Chuan Sheng | 2016 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2016,27,6: | 0
