1The antitumor effect of tanshinone IIA on antiproliferation and decreasing VEGF/VEGFR2 expression on the human non-small cell lung cancer A549 cell line显示文摘The effects of tanshinone IIA on the proliferation of the human non-small cell lung cancer cell line A549 and its possible mechanism on the VEGF/VEGFR signal pathway were investigated.The exploration of the interaction between tanshinone IIA and its target proteins provides a feasible platform for studying the anticancer mechanism of active components of herbs.The CCK-8 assay was used to evaluate the proliferative activity of A549 cells treated with tanshinone IIA(2.5 80 μmol/L) for 24,48 and 72 h,respectively.Flow cytometry was used for the detection of cell apoptosis and cell cycle perturbation.VEGF and VEGFR2 expression were studied by Western blotting.The binding mode of tanshinone IIA within thecrystal structure of the VEGFR2 protein was evaluated with molecular docking analysis by use of the CDOCKER algorithm in Discovery Studio 2.1.The CCK-8 results showed that tanshinone IIA can significantly inhibit A549 cell proliferation in a dose-and time-dependent manner.Flow cytometry results showed that the apoptosis rate of tested group was higher than the vehicle control,and tanshinone IIAtreated cells accumulated at the S phase,which was higher than the vehicle control.Furthermore,the expression of VEGF and VEGFR2 was decreased in Western blot.Finally,molecular docking analysis revealed that tanshinone IIA could be stably docked into the kinase domain of VEGFR2 protein with its unique modes to form H-bonds with Cys917 and π–π stacking interactions with Val848.In conclusion,tanshinone IIA may suppress A549 proliferation,induce apoptosis and cell cycle arrest at the S phase.This drug may suppress angiogenesis by targeting the protein kinase domains of VEGF/VEGFR2.Jun Xie Jiahui Liu Heng Liu Shihui Liang Meigui Lin Yueyu Gu Taoli Liu Dongmei Wang Hui Gee Sui-lin Mo 2015Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2015,5,6:26
2Indirect mineral carbonation of titanium-bearing blast furnace slag coupled with recovery of TiO_2 and Al_2O_3显示文摘Large quantities of CO_2 and blast furnace slag are discharged in the iron and steel industry. Mineral carbonation of blast furnace slag can offer substantial CO_2 emission reduction and comprehensive utilization of the solid waste.This paper describes a novel route for indirect mineral carbonation of titanium-bearing blast furnace(TBBF) slag,in which the TBBF slag is roasted with recyclable(NH_4)_2SO_4(AS) at low temperatures and converted into the sulphates of various valuable metals, including calcium, magnesium, aluminium and titanium. High value added Ti-and Al-rich products can be obtained through stepwise precipitation of the leaching solution from the roasted slag. The NH_3 produced during the roasting is used to capture CO_2 from flue gases. The NH_4HCO_3 and(NH_4)_2CO_3 thus obtained are used to carbonate the CaSO_4-containing leaching residue and MgSO_4-rich leaching solution, respectively. In this study, the process parameters and efficiency for the roasting, carbonation and Ti and Al recovery were investigated in detail. The results showed that the sulfation ratios of calcium,magnesium, titanium and aluminium reached 92.6%, 87% and 84.4%, respectively, after roasting at an AS-to-TBBF slag mass ratio of 2:1 and 350 °C for 2 h. The leaching solution was subjected to hydrolysis at 102 °C for 4 h with a Ti hydrolysis ratio of 95.7% and the purity of TiO_2 in the calcined hydrolysate reached 98 wt%.99.7% of aluminium in the Ti-depleted leaching solution was precipitated by using NH_3. The carbonation products of Ca and Mg were CaCO_3 and(NH_4)_2 Mg(CO_3)_2·4H_2O, respectively. The latter can be decomposed into MgCO_3 at 100–200 °C with simultaneous recovery of the NH_3 for reuse. In this process, approximately 82.1% of Ca and 84.2%of Mg in the TBBF slag were transformed into stable carbonates and the total CO_2 sequestration capacity per ton of TBBF slag reached up to 239.7 kg. 3Event-triggered Tracking Consensus with Packet Losses and Time-varying Delays显示文摘This paper mainly investigates the event-triggered tracking control for leader-follower multi-agent systems with the problems of packet losses and time-varying delays when both the first-order and the second-order neighbors' information are used. Event-triggered control laws are adopted to reduce the frequency of individual actuation updating under the sampleddata framework for discrete-time agent dynamics. The communication graph is undirected and the loss of data across each communication link occurs at certain probability, which is governed by a Bernoulli process. 4The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. 5Effect of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Bacillus subtilis on fermentation, dynamics of bacterial community and their functional shifts of whole-plant corn silage显示文摘Background:Bacillus amyloliquefaciens(BA)and Bacillus subtilis(BS)are usually used as feed supplements directly or bacterial inoculants in biological feeds for animals.However,few research have reported the effects of BA and BS on fermentation characteristics and bacterial community successions of whole-plant corn silage during ensiling.If the BA and BS inoculants have positive effects on silages,then they could not only improve fermentation characteristics,but also deliver BA or BS viable cells to ruminants,which would play its probiotic effect.Therefore,the objectives of this study were to investigate the effects of BA and BS on the fermentation,chemical characteristics,bacterial community and their metabolic pathway of whole-plant corn silage.Results:Freshly chopped whole-plant corn was inoculated without or with BA and BS,respectively,and ensiled for1,3,7,14 and 60 d.Results showed that BA and BS inoculations increased lactic acid concentrations of whole-plant corn silages compared with control,and BA inoculation decreased acetic acid concentrations,whereas BS inoculation decreased fiber contents and increased crude protein(CP)content.Higher water-soluble carbohydrate contents and lower starch contents were observed in BA-and BS-inoculated silages compared with that in control.The decreased CP content and increased non-protein nitrogen content were observed in BA-inoculated silage,which was consistent with the higher amino acid metabolism abundances observed in BA-inoculated silage.In addition,it was noteworthy that BA and BS inoculations increased the metabolism of cofactors and vitamins,and decreased the relative abundances of drug resistance:antimicrobial pathways.We also found that the bacterial metabolism pathways were clearly separated into three clusters based on the ensiling times of whole-plant corn silage in the present study.There were no significant differences in bacterial community compositions among the three groups during ensiling.However,BA and BS inoculations decreased the relative abundances of undesirable bacteria such as Acetobacter and Acinetobacter.Conclusion:Our findings suggested that the BS strain was more suitable as silage inoculants than the BA strain in whole-plant corn silage in this study.Jie Bai Marcia Franco Zitong Ding Lin Hao Wencan Ke Musen Wang Dongmei Xie Ziqian Li Yixin Zhang Lin Ai Xusheng Guo 2022Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2022,13,3:5
6Effects of substituent position on the interactions between PBDEs/PCBs and DOM显示文摘Dissolved organic matters (DOM) have important influence on the environmental behavior and fate of organic pollutants, therefore rationalization of interaction mechanisms between pollutants and DOM has become a hot topic in the field of environmental studies. In this paper, polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), widely detected pollutants, were chosen as target compounds. The effects of substituent position on the interaction between PBDEs/PCBs and DOM were explored. Equilibrium dialysis technique combined with quantum chemistry and molecular docking calculations were employed to reveal the interaction mechanism from the view of charge distribution and molecular conformation. It is shown that non-ortho-substituted isomers have larger volumes and stronger hydrophobicity than those of ortho-substituted, therefore non-ortho-substituted isomers bind more favorably with DOM by hydrophobic partition. By calculating the atomic charge distribution of target chemicals and Leonardite humic acid (LHA) molecular model, π-πinteractions between the aromatic rings of target chemicals with LHA are proposed and further proved in molecular docking calculations. There were 10, 8, 6 docking conformations demonstrating π-πinteraction with LHA for CB-77, BDE-77 and BDE-47, respectively, but none was found for CB-47. By comparing the change of dihedral angle of the aromatic rings and energy barrier, non-ortho-substituted PBDEs/PCBs have larger dihedral angle adjustment space and flexibility, which results in stronger interaction and binding capability with DOM than ortho-substituted isomers. 7Seasonal changes in the water-use strategies of three herbaceous species in a native desert steppe of Ningxia,China显示文摘Frequent periods of drought conditions are known to limit plant performance,primary production,and ecosystem stability in arid and semi-arid desert steppe environments.Plants often avoid competition by shifting their water use seasonally,which affects the water-use patterns of dominant species as well as the composition and structure of plant communities.However,the water-use strategies of dominant herbaceous species,which grow under natural field conditions in the desert steppe region of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region,China,are poorly known.Here,we explored the possible sources of water uptake and water-use efficiency(WUE)of three dominant herbaceous plant species(Stipa breviflora,Agropyron mongolicum,and Glycyrrhiza uralensis)in a native desert steppe in the semi-arid area of Ningxia through an analysis of multiple parameters,including(1)the stable isotopic oxygen and hydrogen(δ18O andδ2H)compositions of precipitation,soil water,and stem water,(2)the carbon isotope(13C)composition of leaves,and(3)the soil water contents,based on field sampling across varying water conditions from June to September,2017.Frequent small precipitation events replenished shallow soil water,whereas large events only percolated down to the deep soil layers.Changes in soil water availability affected the water-use patterns of plants.Generally,during light precipitation periods,the deep root system of G.uralensis accessed deeper(>80 cm)soil water,whereas S.breviflora and A.mongolicum,which only have shallow roots,primarily absorbed water from the shallow and middle soil layers.As precipitation increased,all three plant species primarily obtained water from the shallow soil layers.Variation in soil water uptake between the dry and wet seasons enabled plants to make better use of existing satoil water.In addition,theδ13C values of G.uralensis and S.breviflora were higher than those of A.mongolicum.Theδ13C values of the three plant species were significantly negatively correlated with soil water content.Therefore,G.uralensis and S.breviflora maintained a higher WUE through their conservative and water-saving strategies across the entire growing season.In contrast,A.mongolicum,with a relatively low WUE in the wet season but a high WUE in the dry season,exhibited a more flexible water-use strategy.The different water-use strategies of these dominant plant species demonstrated the mechanisms by which plant communities can respond to drought.HU Haiying ZHU Lin LI Huixia XU Dongmei XIE Yingzhong 2021Journal of Arid Land2021,13,2:4
8Detection of Huanglongbing(citrus greening) based on hyperspectral image analysis and PCR显示文摘Huanglongbing (HLB, citrus greening) is one of the most serious quarantine diseases of citrus worldwide. To monitor in real-time, recognize diseased trees, and efficiently prevent and control HLB disease in citrus, it is necessary to develop a rapid diagnostic method to detect HLB infected plants without symptoms. This study used Newhall navel orange plants as the research subject, and collected normal color leaf samples and chlorotic leaf samples from a healthy orchard and an HLB-infected orchard, respectively. First, hyperspectral data of the upper and lower leaf surfaces were obtained, and then the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to detect the HLB bacterium in each leaf. The PCR test results showed that all samples from the healthy orchard were negative, and a portion of the samples from the infected orchard were positive. According to these results, the leaf samples from the orchards were divided into disease-free leaves and HLB-positive leaves, and the least squares support vector machine recognition model was established based on the leaf hyperspectral reflectance. The effect on the model of the spectra obtained from the upper and lower leaf surfaces was investigated and different pretreatment methods were compared and analyzed. It was observed that the HLB recognition rate values of the calibration and validation sets based on upper leaf surface spectra under 9-point smoothing pretreatment were 100% and 92.5%, respectively. The recognition rate values based on lower leaf surface spectra under the second-order derivative pretreatment were also 100% and 92.5%, respectively. Both upper and lower leaf surface spectra were available for recognition of HLB-infected leaves, and the HLB PCR-positive leaves could be distinguished from the healthy by the hyperspectral modeling analysis. 9Spectroscopic studies of dye-surfactant interactions with the co-existence of heavy metal ions for foam fractionation显示文摘The interaction between a cationic dye Methylene Blue(MB) and an anionic surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) with the presence of Cd2+ was investigated spectrophotometrically in a certain concentration range.The spectrophotometric measurements of dye-metal ion-surfactant system were carried out.The results indicated that the SDS concentration had a significant influence on the dye spectrum,while the addition of Cd2+ hardly caused change of the maximum value of absorbance.According to this observation,we concluded that electrostatic and hydrophobic interaction between dye and surfactant occurred up to a certain level,and the homo-ions Cd2+ almost exerted no effect on the dye-surfactant complexation,establishing a theoretical foundation for simultaneous removal of organic dye and heavy metal using foam fractionation.Meanwhile,the effects of their interaction on foam performance were investigated.The results showed that the addition of Cd2+ favored the tendency to ameliorate foam properties just contrary to MB.The feasibility of foam separation for dye and heavy metal removal from simulated wastewater was also confirmed using a continuous foam fractionator.In the simultaneous removal process,with the initial SDS concentration ranging from 0.5 to 5.0mmol/L,the maximum removal efficiencies of MB and Cd2+ were obtained as 99.69% and 99.61%,respectively.The enrichment ratios were reduced from24.34 to 7.65 for MB and from22.01 to 3.35 for Cd2+.Dongmei Zhang Guangming Zeng Jinhui Huang Wenkai Bi Gengxin Xie 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,12:2
10Preparation of porous nanocrystalline TiO_2 electrode by screen-printing technique显示文摘Different paste has been used for preparing porous TiO2 thin film by screen-printing technique, the main component of it comes from commercial TiO2 P25 power. The dye-sensitized solar cell based on this TiO2 thin film without further chemical treatments exhibits high overall conversion efficiency of 5.81%―6.70%, even with low TiO2 content and thin film thickness. 12Preparation and characteristic of NASICON ceramics显示文摘Hot-pressed sintering was employed to prepare the sodium super ionic conductor (Na1+xZr2SixP3-xO12, 1.8≤x≤2.2) ceramics and compare with the sample obtained from normal-press sintering. The phase formation, density, and conductivity of the hot-press sintered and the normal-press sintered samples were investigated in detail. Results show that the density of NASICON ceramics and the degree of crystallization can be improved by hot-press process efficiently. The density of the sample sintered by normal sintering is obviously lower than that sintered by hot press. XRD analysis indicates all the hot press sintered samples contain mainly monoclinic NASICON and no ZrO2 phase was found. The ionic conductivity of normal-press sintered sample is much lower than that of hot-press sintered sample. When the composition is close to Na3Zr2Si2PO12, the dc conductivities of the hot press sintered samples were in the order of 10-3 S·cm-1. 17Auto machine learning-based modelling and prediction of excavationinduced tunnel displacement显示文摘The influence of a deep excavation on existing shield tunnels nearby is a vital issue in tunnelling engineering.Whereas,there lacks robust methods to predict excavation-induced tunnel displacements.In this study,an auto machine learning(AutoML)-based approach is proposed to precisely solve the issue.Seven input parameters are considered in the database covering two physical aspects,namely soil property,and spatial characteristics of the deep excavation.The 10-fold cross-validation method is employed to overcome the scarcity of data,and promote model’s robustness.Six genetic algorithm(GA)-ML models are established as well for comparison.The results indicated that the proposed AutoML model is a comprehensive model that integrates efficiency and robustness.Importance analysis reveals that the ratio of the average shear strength to the vertical effective stress E_(ur)/σ′_(v),the excavation depth H,and the excavation width B are the most influential variables for the displacements.Finally,the AutoML model is further validated by practical engineering.The prediction results are in a good agreement with monitoring data,signifying that our model can be applied in real projects.Dongmei Zhang Yiming Shen Zhongkai Huang Xiaochuang Xie 2022Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2022,14,4:1

19Comparative Study on Effects of Rheum officinale and Wine Prepared Rheum palmatum Dachengqi Decoction on Laxative Effect of Mice显示文摘[Objectives] To study the differences in the effects of Rheum officinale and wine prepared Rheum palmatum Dachengqi Decoction(DCQ) on laxative effect of mice.[Methods]First,72 mice were randomly divided into positive control group,blank control group,6 and10 g/kg dose R.officinale DCQ groups,6 and 10 g/kg dose wine prepared R.palmatum DCQ groups.After administration at the dose of20 m L/kg,metabolic cage method and carbon powder propulsion were used to conduct Na+-K+-ATPasc activity experiment,and the comparison was made for the differences in the normal laxative effect of R.officinale and wine prepared R.palmatum on DCQ,the carbon powder propulsion rate,and Na+-K+-ATPasc activit.[Results]There are differences in the laxative effect of R.officinale and wine prepared R.palmatum on DCQ,but their differences in changes are,to some extent,connected with R.officinale and wine prepared R.palmatum.From comparison of R.officinale DCQ group,wine prepared R.palmatum DCQ group,blank control group,and positive control group,it is found that there are differences in the normal laxative effect of normal mice,carbon powder propulsion,and inhibition of Na+-K+-ATPase activity.In addition,the comparison of drug administration groups indicates that the differences in the effects of R.officinale DCQ group are most significant,and there are significant differences in the 6 and 10 g/kg groups.[Conclusions]There are certain differences in the influence of R.officinale and wine prepared R.palmatum Dachengqi Decoction on normal laxative effect of mice,which may be connected with the fact that changes in main chemical components of king drugs R.officinale and wine prepared R.palmatum lead to changes in the dissolution amount of anthraquinones in the compound Dachengqi Decoction.Jiangcun WEI Yong CHEN Zhen XIE Dongmei HUANG Zijun CHEN Jinzhou LI Zuliang QUE Qian HAN 2018Medicinal Plant2018,9,6:1
