| 1 | γ-MnO2 nanorods/graphene composite as efficient cathode for advanced rechargeable aqueous zinc-ion battery显示文摘Aqueous Zn//MnO2 batteries are emerging as promising large-scale energy storage devices owing to their cost-effectiveness,high safety,high output voltage,and energy density.However,the MnO2 cathode suffers from intrinsically poor rate performance and rapid capacity deterioration.Here,we remove the roadblock by compositing MnO2 nanorods with highly conductive graphene,which remarkably enhances the electrochemical properties of the MnO2 cathode.Benefiting from the boosted electric conductivity and ion diffusion rate as well as the structural protection of graphene,the Zn//MnO2-graphene battery presents an admirable capacity of 301 mAh g^-1 at 0.5 A g^-1,corresponding to a high energy density of 411.6 Wh kg^-1.Even at a high current density of 10 A g^-1,a decent capacity of 95.8 mAh g^-1 is still obtained,manifesting its excellent rate property.Furthermore,an impressive power density of 15 kW kg^-1 is achieved by the Zn//MnO2-graphene battery. | Chao Wang Yinxiang Zeng Xiang Xiao Shijia Wu Guobin Zhong Kaiqi Xu Zengfu Wei Wei Su Xihong Lu | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,4: | 13 |
| 2 | Optimal operation strategy for distributed battery aggregator providing energy and ancillary services显示文摘The high penetration of distributed renewable energy raises a higher concern for the safe and economic operation of the smart grid. Distributed batteries equipped in demand-side can not only contribute to the reliability and security of the grid, but also make profits by participating in the electricity market, especially when distributed batteries are combined and operated by an aggregator.Considering the well-operated mechanism of performance based regulation(PBR) in the U.S. electricity market, it becomes increasingly lucrative for batteries to participate not only in energy markets for energy arbitrage, but also in ancillary service markets to provide regulation and peakload shaving services. In this study, distributed batteries are operated and coordinated by the aggregator, which simultaneously submits offers to the energy and the ancillary service markets as an individual entity. An optimaldecision model is formulated for the aggregator to determine the operation and bidding strategy for the distributed batteries by considering the characteristics of batteries,including the terms of capacity, efficiency and degradation cost. | 3 | COMPARISON OF GRANULAR MATERIAL BEHAVIOUR UNDER DRAINED TRIAXIAL AND PLANE STRAIN CONDITIONS USING 3D DEM SIMULATIONS显示文摘Three dimensional (3D) DEM (discrete element method) simulations of drained triaxial compression and plane strain tests are presented for both dense and loose assemblies of polydisperse spheres using a periodic cell. In the work reported, drained tests were modelled by deforming the samples under constant mean stress conditions. The drained behaviour is shown to be qualitatively similar to published physical experimental results. The Bishop's formula for the estimation of the intermediate principal stress is evaluated. The existence of critical density is shown to be independent of initial packing densities and strain conditions. Different failure criteria have been compared based on the DEM simulation results, and the Lade criterion is found to be the most appropriate one. A new microscopic fabric parameter is introduced to give insight to structural anisotropy under general 3D fabric conditions. | 4 | Numerical simulation of the propagation of electromagnetic waves in ionospheric irregularities显示文摘The characteristics of high-frequency(HF)electromagnetic(EM)wave propagation can be affected when EM waves propagate in the ionosphere.When ionospheric irregularities appear in the ionosphere,they can have a serious impact on the propagation of HF EM waves.In this study,the propagation of HF EM waves in ionospheric irregularities was investigated by numerical simulation.First,a twodimensional model of plasma bubbles was used to produce ionospheric irregularities in the ionosphere.A ray-tracing method was then utilized to simulate the propagation of HF radio waves in these ionospheric irregularities.Results showed that the propagation of HF radio waves in the ionosphere was more complex in ionospheric irregularities than without ionospheric irregularities.In addition,corresponding ionograms were synthesized by radio rays propagated in the ionosphere with these irregularities.The synthesized ionograms were then compared with the experimental ionograms recorded by an ionosonde.Results showed that spread F could be simulated on the ionograms when ionospheric irregularities occurred in the ionosphere.This result was consistent with the ionosonde observations. | Chun Hua Jiang LeHui Wei GuoBin Yang Chen Zhou ZhengYu Zhao | 2020 | Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,6: | 3 |

| 6 | DEM SIMULATION OF LIQUEFACTION FOR GRANULAR MEDIA UNDER UNDRAINED AXISYMMETRIC COMPRESSION AND PLANE STRAIN CONDITIONS显示文摘Based on three dimensional (3D) Discrete Element Method (DEM), the paper presents simulation results of undrained tests on loose assemblies of polydisperse spheres under axisymmetric compression and plane strain conditions using a periodic cell. In the present work, undrained tests were modelled by deforming the samples under constant volume conditions. The undrained (effective) stress paths are shown to be qualitatively similar to experimental results in literature. A microscopic parameter in terms of redundancy factor (RF) is used to identify the onset of liquefaction (or temporary liquefaction), with the condition of RF equal to unity defining the transition from 'solid-like' to 'liquid-like' behaviour. | 7 | The analysis of genetic diversity and differentiation of six Chinese cattle populations using microsatellite markers显示文摘A total of 321 individuals from six cattle populations of four species in a bovine subfamily in China were studied using 12 pairs of mi- crosatellite markers. The genetic diversities within and between populations were calculated. The phylogenetic trees were constructed by (δμ) 2 and DA distances, and the divergence times between populations were estimated by (δμ) 2. Altogether, 144 microsatellite alleles were detected including 24 private alleles and nine shared alleles. Chinese Holstein had the largest number of private alleles (10), whereas, Bohai black and Buffalo had the smallest number of private alleles (2). Chinese Holstein showed the highest genetic variability. Its ob- served number of alleles (Na), mean effective number of alleles (MNA), and mean heterozygosity (He) were 7.7500, 4.9722, and 0.7719, respectively, whereas, the Buffalo and Yak showed low genetic variability. In the phylogenetic trees, Luxi and Holstein grouped first, followed by Bohai and Minnan. Yak branched next and buffalo emerged as the most divergent population from other cattle populations. Luxi and Bohai were estimated to have diverged 0.039-0.105 million years ago (MYA), however, buffalo and Holstein diverged 0.501-1.337 MYA. | 8 | Matrix-assisted pulsed laser evaporation of polyimide thin films and the XPS study显示文摘Compared with the traditional thin film techniques, the matrix-assisted pulsed laser evaporation (MAPLE) technique has many advantages in the deposition of polymer and organic thin films. It has a wide range of applications in many fields, such as non-linear optics, luminescent devices, electronics, various sensors. We have successfully deposited polyimide thin films by using the MAPLE technique. These films were characterized with XPS. The XPS spectra showed that the single-photon effect is ob-vious at low laser fluence and the chemical bonds will be broken, resulting in decomposition of the films. Contrarily, the single-photon effect will decrease and the multi-photon effect and the photothermal effect will increase at high laser fluence, resulting in the protection of the structure of the polyimide thin films and the obvious decrease in decomposition. | 9 | The research of propagation characteristic and formation of double half-Gaussian hollow beams显示文摘A new kind of hollow beams, double half-Gaussian hollow beams,was put forward. With the help of the Collins formula, the analytical equation of propagation and transformation of the hollow laser beams in free space was deduced. The simulation shows that the intensity exhibits the three-dimensional trap distribution in the near-field, while the double half-Gaussian hollow beams turn into solid laser beams when propagating a certain distance, which shows the characteristics of self-focus. The double half-Gaussian hollow beams were obtained by means of the dual-reflecting splitting optical system. | 17 | Ratiometric fluorescence immunoassay of SARS-CoV-2 nucleocapsid protein via Si-FITC nanoprobe-based inner filter effect显示文摘The global pandemic caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)virus has necessitated rapid,easy-to-use,and accurate diagnostic methods to monitor the virus infection.Herein,a ratiometric fluorescence enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was developed using Si-fluorescein isothiocyanate nanoparticles(FITC NPs)for detecting SARSCoV-2 nucleocapsid(N)protein.Si-FITC NPs were prepared by a one-pot hydrothermal method using 3-aminopropyl triethoxysilane(APTES)-FITC as the Si source.This method did not need post-modification and avoided the reduction in quantum yield and stability.The p-nitrophenyl(pNP)produced by the alkaline phosphatase(ALP)-mediated hydrolysis of pnitrophenyl phosphate(pNPP)could quench Si fluorescence in Si-FITC NPs via the inner filter effect.In ELISA,an immunocomplex was formed by the recognition of capture antibody/N protein/reporter antibody.ALP-linked secondary antibody bound to the reporter antibody and induced pNPP hydrolysis to specifically quench Si fluorescence in Si-FITC NPs.The change in fluorescence intensity ratio could be used for detecting N protein,with a wide linearity range(0.01-10.0 and 50-300 ng/mL)and low detection limit(0.002 ng/mL).The concentration of spiked SARS-CoV-2 N protein could be determined accurately in human serum.Moreover,this proposed method can accurately distinguish coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)and non-COVID-19 patient samples.Therefore,this simple,sensitive,and accurate method can be applied for the early diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 virus infection. | Guobin Mao Yang Yang Shijie Cao Silu Ye Yifang Li Wei Zhao Hongwei An Yingxia Liu Junbiao Dai Yingxin Ma | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 0 |

To better utilize the spectrum and fully explore different channel characteristics, this paper constructs an integrated network comprising the High Altitude Platform(HAP) and Unmanned Air Vehicles(UAVs) with the NonOrthogonal Multiple Access(NOMA) technology. In order to improve the transmission quality of images and videos, a power management scheme is proposed to minimize the distortion of the transmissions from the HAP and UAVs to the terminals. The power control is formulated as a non-convex problem constrained by the maximal transmit power and the minimal terminal rate requirements. The variable substitution and the first-order Tailor’s expansion is used to transform it into a sequence of convex problems, which are subsequently solved through the gradient projection method. | 19 | Modeling of kilometer-scale ionospheric irregularities at Mars显示文摘Recently, kilometer-scale Martian ionospheric irregularities have been measured by the Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN(MAVEN) mission(Fowler et al., 2020). In this study, we carried out a simulation of these irregularities, assuming a uniform Martian zonal neutral wind and a cosinusoidal perturbation of the plasma density as the seeding source. Results show that a vertical electric field shear could be induced by such a plasma density perturbation. We find that the vertical electric field shear causes a velocity shear of the plasma between the topside and bottomside ionosphere, which in turn is able to produce kilometer-scale ionospheric irregularities — irregularities of a smaller scale than were seen in previous simulations(Jiang CH et al., 2021). | 20 | Facile cyclic ammonium salt with the smallest size for high performance electric double layer capacitors显示文摘The smallest cyclic ammonium salt reported to date, N,N-dimethylpyrrolidinium tetrafluoroborate (P11-BF4), was successively synthesized using a synthesis route without metal ions and halogen ions, then investigated as the electrolyte with Propylene carbonate in EDLCs. The electrochemical characteristics of EDLCs assembled by 1 mol/L P11-BF4/PC paired with activated carbon electrodes were compared to traditional electrolytes. P11-BF4 has proven to have superior voltage resistance by using cyclic voltammetry and constant current charge-discharge testing. Moreover, P11-BF4 exhibits a more brilliant rate performance due to its high conductivity.
