| 1 | Signet-ring cell carcinoma of the stomach: Impact on prognosis and specific therapeutic challenge显示文摘While the incidence of gastric cancer has decreased worldwide in recent decades,the incidence of signetring cell carcinoma(SRCC) is rising. SRCC has a specific epidemiology and oncogenesis and has two forms: early gastric cancer,which can be resected endoscopically in some cases and which has a better outcome than non-SRCC,and advanced gastric cancer,which is generally thought to have a worse prognosis and lower chemosensitivity than non-SRCC. However,the prognosis of SRCC and its chemosensitivity with specific regimens are still controversial as SRCC is not specifically identified in most studies and its poor prognosis may be due to its more advanced stage. It therefore remains unclear if a specific therapeutic strategy is justified,as the benefit of perioperative chemotherapy and the value of taxanebased chemotherapy are unclear. | 2 | Colorectal cancer and immunity:what we know and perspectives显示文摘Strong evidence supports the concept of immunosurveillance and immunoediting in colorectal cancer.In particular,the density of T CD8+and CD45+lymphocyte infiltration was recently shown to have a better prognostic value than the classic tumor node metastasis classification factor.Other immune subsets,as macrophages,natural killer cells or unconventionnal lymphocytes,seem to play an important role.Induction of regulatory T cells(Tregs)or immunosuppressive molecules such as PD-1 or CTLA-4 and downregulation of antigen-presenting molecules are major escape mechanisms to antitumor immune response.The development of these mechanisms is a major obstacle to the establishment of an effective immune response,but also to the use of immunotherapy.Although im-munotherapy is not yet routinely used in colorectal cancer,we now know that most treatments used(chemotherapy and biotherapy)have immunomodulatory effects,such as induction of immunogenic cell death by chemotherapy,inhibition of immunosuppression by antiangiogenic agents,and antibody-dependent cytotoxicity induced by cetuximab.Finally,many immunotherapy strategies are being developed and tested in phaseⅠtoⅢclinical trials.The most promising strategies are boosting the immune system with cytokines,inhibition of immunoregulatory checkpoints,vaccination with vectorized antigens,and adoptive cell therapy.Comprehension of antitumor immune response and combination of the different approaches of immunotherapy may allow the use of effective immunotherapy for treatment of colorectal cancer in the near future. | Simon Pernot Magali Terme Thibault Voron Orianne Colussi Elie Marcheteau Eric Tartour Julien Taieb | 2014 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,14: | 19 |

| 4 | Dairy manure as a potential source of crop nutrients and environmental contaminants显示文摘Although animal manure is applied to agricultural fields for its nutrient value,it may also contain potential contaminants.To determine the variability in such contaminants as well as in valuable nutrients,nine uncomposted manure samples from Idaho dairies collected during 2.5 years were analyzed for macro-and micro-nutrients,hormones,phytoestrogens,antibiotics,veterinary drugs,antibiotic resistance genes,and genetic elements involved in the spread of antibiotic resistance.Total N ranged from 6.8 to 30.7(C:N of 10 to 21),P from 2.4 to 9.0,and K from 10.2 to 47.7 g/kg manure.Zn(103-348 mg/kg)was more abundant than Cu(56-127 mg/kg)in all samples.Phytoestrogens were the most prevalent contaminants detected,with concentrations fluctuating over time,reflecting animal diets.This is the first study to document the presence of flunixin,a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug,in solid stacked manure from regular dairy operations.Monensin was the most frequently detected antibiotic.Progesterones and sulfonamides were regularly detected.We also investigated the relative abundance of several types of plasmids involved in the spread of antibiotic resistance in clinical settings.Plasmids belonging to the Inc I,Inc P,and Inc Q1 incompatibility groups were found in almost all manure samples.Inc Q1 plasmids,class 1 integrons,and sulfonamide resistance genes were the most widespread and abundant genetic element surveyed,emphasizing their potential role in the spread of antibiotic resistance.The benefits associated with amending agricultural soils with dairy manure must be carefully weighed against the potential negative consequences of any manure contaminants. | Danika Hill Matthew J.Morra Thibault Stalder Sven Jechalke Eva Top Anne T.Pollard Inna Popova | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,2: | 4 |
