1Controversies in diagnosis and management of Kawasaki disease显示文摘Kawasaki disease(KD) is a common medium vessel systemic vasculitis that usually occurs in small children. It has a predilection for the coronary arteries, but other medium sized arteries can also be involved. The etiology of this disorder remains a mystery. Though typical presentation of KD is quite characteristic, it may also present as incomplete or atypical disease in which case the diagnosis can be very challenging. As both incomplete and atypical forms of KD can be associated with serious coronary artery complications, the pediatrician can ill afford to miss these diagnoses. The American Heart Association has enunciated consensus guidelines to facilitate the clinical diagnosis and treatment of this condition. However, there are still several issues that remain controversial. Intravenous immunoglobulin remains the cornerstone of management but several other treatment modalities, especially glucocorticoids, are increasingly finding favour. 2Platelets in Kawasaki disease:Is this only a numbers game or something beyond?显示文摘Kawasaki disease(KD)is a medium vessel vasculitis with predilection to cause coronary artery abnormalities.KD is now the most common cause of acquired heart disease in developed countries.Thrombocytosis is consistently found in patients with KD,usually in 2nd to 3rd week of illness.Thrombocytopenia has occasionally been reported in the acute phase of KD.An increase or decrease in platelet number in patients with KD was initially considered to be a benign phenomenon.However,recent literature on platelet biology in KD has suggested that platelets are not only increasing but are rather activated.This phenomenon has been found to increase the risk of thrombosis in these patients.Similarly a fall in platelet counts during acute stage of KD has also been found to be associated with increased severity of disease.In this review,we update on the current best understanding about pathogenic role of platelets in patients with KD.Kanika Arora Sandesh Guleria Ankur Kumar Jindal Amit Rawat Surjit Singh 2020Genes & Diseases2020,7,1:9
3生物质热解渣应用于低温SCR脱硝催化剂的研究显示文摘对棉杆热解渣分别进行物理、化学及物理化学综合活化,并以它们为载体,分别负载锰铈的氧化物获得催化剂,探讨它们用于低温选择性催化还原的脱硝性能。同时对3种催化剂进行BET、NH3-TPD、H2-TPR和XRD表征研究。结果表明,经过物理化学综合法活化后所得催化剂的比表面积最大,可达到1 614 m2/g,且其微孔中孔分布最为丰富;NH3-TPD表征结果说明化学活化法所得催化剂对NH3吸附效果最佳,其次为物理化学综合活化法所得的催化剂;H2-TPR表征结果可知经化学活化法所得催化剂氧化还原性最好,其次为物理化学综合活化法所得的催化剂;脱硝试验结果可知物理化学综合活化法所得到的催化剂在低温条件下SCR活性最佳,并对结果进行了分析。沈伯雄 孙喜 陈建宏 Surjit Singh 胡国丽 2013环境科学与技术2013,36,5:5

5Recent developments in self-powered smart chemical sensors for wearable electronics显示文摘The next generation of electronics technology is purely going to be based on wearable sensing systems. Wearable electronic sensors that can operate in a continuous and sustainable manner without the need of an external power sources, are essential for portable and mobile electronic applications. In this review article, the recent progress and advantages of wearable self-powered smart chemical sensors systems for wearable electronics are presented. An overview of various modes of energy conversion and storage technologies for self-powered devices is provided. Self-powered chemical sensors (SPCS) systems with integrated energy units are then discussed, separated as solar cell-based SPCS, triboelectric nano-generators based SPCS, piezoelectric nano-generators based SPCS, energy storage device based SPCS, and thermal energy-based SPCS. 6Sustainability Assessment and Ranking of Run of the River(RoR) Hydropower Projects Using Analytical Hierarchy Process(AHP):A Study from Western Himalayan Region of India显示文摘In the present scenario,tapping the unutilised hydropower potential is one of the highest priorities in developing countries of the world.Special emphasis is being imparted to run of the river(RoR)mode of power generation.However,the governments are now facing the dilemma whether to promote small hydropower projects(SHPs) or encourage large hydropower projects(LHPs).RoR large hydropower projects result into large scale cutting of mountains for constructing tunnels and access roads,generation of huge quantity of muck and large scale impact on flora and fauna due to diversion of rivers/streams.On the other hand,though SHPs are claimed to be greener and more sustainable by a section of researchers and energy planners but,they will be required to be set up in large number to generate equivalent amount of electricity.The aim of this study is to rank the most sustainable installed capacity range of RoR hydropower projects.To achieve this aim,the study proposes the use of quite popular multi-criteria decision making(MCDM)method of Operation Research named Analytical Hierarchy Process.A case study has been presented from Himachal Pradesh,a hydro rich state located in the western Himalayan region.As per sustainability assessment carried out in this study,hydropower projects in the capacity range 1 to 5 MW have been ranked to be the most sustainable.Deepak KUMAR Surjit Singh KATOCH 2015Journal of Mountain Science2015,12,5:2

14Photometric Analysis of Three Potential Red Nova Progenitors显示文摘We present photometric analysis of three bright red nova progenitor contact binary systems:ASAS J082151-0612.6,TYC 7281-269-1 and TYC 7275-1968-1.The primary components in all three systems are solar-type low mass stars with radii somewhat larger than their zero age main sequence counterparts.The secondaries,as in most contact binary systems,have radii and luminosities well above their main sequence counterparts.All three have extremely low mass ratios ranging from 0.075 to 0.097 and two have high degrees of contact,in excess of 75%.All three have mass ratios and separations below the theoretical values for orbital stability.Chromospheric activity,a hallmark of magnetic activity and magnetic braking,considered important in mediating angular momentum loss,is also explored.All three systems demonstrate the O’Connell effect,and all systems require the introduction of star spots for a better light curve solution.In addition,we show that ASAS J082151-0612.6 and TYC 7281-269-1 have a UV color excess in the range indicating high chromospheric activity.Another measure of potential significant magnetic activity is X-ray luminosity;TYC 7275-1968-1 and probably also TYC 7281-269-1 have X-ray luminosity well above other contact binary systems.We conclude that it is likely that all three are unstable and hence are potential merger candidates.Surjit S.Wadhwa Ain De Horta Miroslav D.Filipovic N.F.H.Tothill Bojan Arbutina Jelena Petrovic Gojko Djurasevic 2022Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2022,22,10:1
