| 3 | Focal adhesion protein Kindlin-2 regulates bone homeostasis in mice显示文摘Our recent studies demonstrate that the focal adhesion protein Kindlin-2 is critical for chondrogenesis and early skeletal development. Here, we show that deleting Kindlin-2 from osteoblasts using the 2.3-kb mouse Col1 a1-Cre transgene minimally impacts bone mass in mice, but deleting Kindlin-2 using the 10-kb mouse Dmp1-Cre transgene, which targets osteocytes and mature osteoblasts, results in striking osteopenia in mice. Kindlin-2 loss reduces the osteoblastic population but increases the osteoclastic and adipocytic populations in the bone microenvironment. Kindlin-2 loss upregulates sclerostin in osteocytes,downregulates β-catenin in osteoblasts, and inhibits osteoblast formation and differentiation in vitro and in vivo. Upregulation ofβ-catenin in the mutant cells reverses the osteopenia induced by Kindlin-2 deficiency. Kindlin-2 loss additionally increases the expression of RANKL in osteocytes and increases osteoclast formation and bone resorption. Kindlin-2 deletion in osteocytes promotes osteoclast formation in osteocyte/bone marrow monocyte cocultures, which is significantly blocked by an anti-RANKLneutralizing antibody. | 6 | Tectonics-palaeogeomorphology in rift basins: controlling effect on the sequence architecture显示文摘The relationship between deposition and tectonics of sedimentary basins has been a significant subject in recent years.Using typical rift basins such as the Nanpu Sag as an example,combined with the analysis of the tectonics-palaeogeomorphology of basins,we undertook a detailed study of the differences of the third-order sequences in different basins,the combination of depositional systems within the sequence framework and the distribution of depocenters and subsidence centers.Our results revealed a significant relationship between the tectonics-palaeogeomorphology of rift basins and the filling styles of sedimentary sequences.The basin structure plays a primary role in controlling the development of the third-order sequences and the boundary of these sequences is easily formed in basins with gentle slopes,shallow water and a small area.The characteristics of the tectonics-palaeogeomorphology of rift basins are dominated by half-grabens of extensional faults,which affect the temporal and spatial combination of sedimentary systems within the sequences as well as the distribution of depocenters and subsidence centers.Based on the development rules of the faults dominating the half-grabens of extensional faults,rift basins are classified into two types: the single fault segmented-linkage type and the multi-fault combination type.The main controlling factors of the temporal and spatial combination of sedimentary systems and the distribution of depocenters and subsidence centers in different basins are different.The characteristics of early segmentation and later linkage of the faults play a critical role in controlling the sedimentary system combination within the sequence framework and the temporal and spatial differences of depocenters and subsidence centers of the single fault segmented-linkage rift basins,while the differences in fault activities are the dominating factors of the multi-fault combination rift basins. | Ji Hancheng Jia Haibo Sun Simin Chen Liang Tang Yang Chen Wei Geng Yikai Zhou Hang | 2013 | Petroleum Science2013,10,4: | 3 |
| 7 | Dielectric Properties of Bi_4Ti_3O_(12) Ceramics by Impedance Spectroscopic Method显示文摘Various lead-free ceramics have been investigated in search for new high-temperature dielectrics. In particular, Bi_4Ti_3O_(12) is a type of ferroelectric ceramics, which is supposed to replace leadcontaining ceramics for its outstanding dielectric properties in the near future. Ferroelectric ceramics of Bi_4Ti_3O_(12) made by conventional mixed oxide route have been studied by impedance spectroscopy in a wide range of temperature. X-ray diffraction patterns show that Bi_4Ti_3O_(12) ceramics are a single-phase of ferroelectric Bi-layered perovskite structure whether it is calcined at 800 ℃ or after sintering production. This study focused on the effect of the grain size on the electric properties of BIT ceramics. The BIT ceramics with different grain sizes were prepared at different sintering temperatures. Grain becomes coarser with the sintering temperature increasing by 50 ℃, relative permittivity and dielectric loss also change a lot. When sintered at 1 100 ℃, r values peak can reach 205.40 at a frequency of 100 k Hz, the minimum dielectric losses of four different frequencies make no difference, all close to 0.027. The values of Ea range from 0.52 to 0.68 e V. The dielectric properties of the sample sintered at 1 100 ℃ are relatively better than those of the other samples by analyzing the relationship of the grain, the internal stresses, the homogeneity and the dielectric properties. SEM can better explain the results of the dielectric spectrum at different sintering temperatures. The results show that Bi_4Ti_3O_(12) ceramics are a kind of dielectrics. | 8 | Effects of characteristic inhomogeneity of bamboo culm nodes on mechanical properties of bamboo fiber reinforced composite显示文摘Dendrocalamus farinosus and Phyllostachys heterocycla bamboo logs were subjected to a novel treatment process for the preparation of bamboo fiber mats(BFMs), and the obtained BFM were used to fabricate bamboo fiber reinforced composite(BFRC). We studied the mechanical properties of the BFRCs manufactured from the mats with and without bamboo nodes. The presence of nodes in BFM greatly reduced tensile strength,compressive strength, modulus of elasticity, and modulus of rupture of the BFRCs, while the BFRCs fabricated from BFMs with nodes possessed higher horizontal shear strength. | 9 | The interaction between polyphyllin I and SQLE protein induces hepatotoxicity through SREBP-2/HMGCR/SQLE/LSS pathway显示文摘Polyphyllin I(PPI)and polyphyllin II(PII)are the main active substances in the Paris polyphylla.However,liver toxicity of these compounds has impeded their clinical application and the potential hepatotoxicity mechanisms remain to be elucidated.In this work,we found that PPI and PII exposure could induce significant hepatotoxicity in human liver cell line L-02 and zebrafish in a dose-dependent manner.The results of the proteomic analysis in L-02 cells and transcriptome in zebrafish indicated that the hepatotoxicity of PPI and PII was associated with the cholesterol biosynthetic pathway disorders,which were alleviated by the cholesterol biosynthesis inhibitor lovastatin.Additionally,3-hydroxy-3-methy-lglutaryl CoA reductase(HMGCR)and squalene epoxidase(SQLE),the two rate-limiting enzymes in the cholesterol synthesis,selected as the potential targets,were confirmed by the molecular docking,the overexpression,and knockdown of HMGCR or SQLE with siRNA.Finally,the pull-down and surface plasmon resonance technology revealed that PPI could directly bind with SQLE but not with HMGCR.Collectively,these data demonstrated that PPI-induced hepatotoxicity resulted from the direct binding with SQLE protein and impaired the sterol-regulatory element binding protein 2/HMGCR/SQLE/lanosterol synthase pathways,thus disturbing the cholesterol biosynthesis pathway.The findings of this research can contribute to a better understanding of the key role of SQLE as a potential target in drug-induced hepatotoxicity and provide a therapeutic strategy for the prevention of drug toxic effects with similar structures in the future. | Zhiqi Li Qiqi Fan Meilin Chen Ying Dong Farong Li Mingshuang Wang Yulin Gu Simin Guo Xianwen Ye Jiarui Wu Shengyun Dai Ruichao Lin Chongjun Zhao | 2023 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2023,13,1: | 2 |

| 12 | Topological electronic states in HfRuP family superconductors显示文摘Based on the first-principles calculations and experimental measurements,we report that the hexagonal phase of ternary transition metal pnictides TT’X(T=Zr,Hf;T’=Ru;X=P,As),which are well-known noncentrosymmetric superconductors with relatively high transition temperatures,host nontrivial bulk topology.Before the superconducting phase transition,we find that HfRuP belongs to a Weyl semimetal phase with 12 pairs of type-II Weyl points,while ZrRuAs,ZrRuP and HfRuAs belong to a topological crystalline insulating phase with trivial Fu-Kane Z_(2) indices but nontrivial mirror Chern numbers.High-quality single crystal samples of the noncentrosymmetric superconductors with these two different topological states have been obtained and the superconductivity is verified experimentally.The wide-range band structures of ZrRuAs have been identified by ARPES and reproduced by theoretical calculations.Combined with intrinsic superconductivity,the nontrivial topology of the normal state may generate unconventional superconductivity in both bulk and surfaces.Our findings could largely inspire the experimental searching for possible topological superconductivity in these compounds. | Yuting Qian Simin Nie Changjiang Yi Lingyuan Kong Chen Fang Tian Qian Hong Ding Youguo Shi Zhijun Wang Hongming Weng Zhong Fang | 2019 | npj Computational Materials2019,,1: | 1 |

| 15 | The Synthesis of Sub-Nano-Thick Pd Nanobelt-Based Materials for Enhanced Hydrogen Evolution Reaction Activity显示文摘Tailoring atomic structures of noblemetal nanomaterials with size close to single-unit cell range is essential in both fundamental researchand applications,including their development into high catalytic performance materials in renewable,green energy conversions,devices for energy storage,and as biosensors for environmental pollutants.However,several strategies used in fabricating these materials still impose enormous challenges,arising from lack of even size distribution,shape uniformity,and controlled composition,which are critical in determining their specific activities and efficiencies.Herein,we report a facile approach for preparing sub-nano-thick palladium nanobelt-based(PdNB)materials.Then we rationalized the formation mechanism of such highly anisotropic structures by morphology-related thermodynamic and kinetic analysis.Moreover,we investigated if electrocatalysis performance of these NB-basedmaterialswere enhanced.Thepalladium(Pd)NBs featured a thickness of∼0.9-1.2 nm and width of 5-18nmwith length extending to severalmicrometers[denoted as Pd(0.9)],or a thickness of∼0.7-0.9 nm and width of 2.5-6 nmwith length of several hundreds of nanometers[denoted as Pd(0.7)].According to our theoretical analysis,one-dimensional(1D)growth encountered almost no energy barrier at optimal reaction conditions,whereas the growth of Pd nanostructures with other dimensions confronted high barriers,indicating that it was plausible to prepare 1D structures with sizes close to single-unit cells.Also,platinum(Pt)could be successfully doped into the Pd(0.9)NBs through a galvanic epitaxial growth,forming edge-Pt-enriched Pd NBs(eePtPd NBs).Further,electron transfer from Pd to Pt imparted the eePtPd NBs with high hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)activity.The eePtPd NBs showed a 3.5 and 1.8 times higher in exchange current density and mass activity(at−0.1 V),respectively,compared to those of Pt catalysts in perchloric acid(HClO_(4))solutions.Finally,the NBs all showed high activity toward ethanol and formic acid oxidation reactions.Our current work aids in gaining insights into tailoring Pd nanostructures at an atomic level and provides Pd sub-nanometric 1D structures for further research.Moreover,our morphology-related thermodynamic and kinetic analysis extend our understanding of the control of nanostructure morphology and might shed light on the precision of designing specific morphologies of noble metal nanocrystal structures. | Bing Ni Qinghua Zhang Chen Ouyang Simin Zhang Biao Yu Jing Zhuang Lin Gu Xun Wang | 2020 | CCS Chemistry2020,2,1: | 1 |

| 19 | Effects of soil organism interactions and temperature on carbon use efficiency in three different forest soils显示文摘Microbial carbon use efficiency(CUE)affects the soil C cycle to a great extent,but how soil organisms and the abiotic environment combine to influence CUE at a regional scale remains poorly understood.In the current study,microcosms were used to investigate how microbial respiration,biomass,and CUE responded to biotic and abiotic factors in natural tropical,subtropical,and temperate forests.Soil samples from the forests were collected,sterilized,and populated with one or a combination of three types of soil organisms(the fungus Botrytis cinerea,the bacterium Escherichia coli,and the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans).The microcosms were then kept at the mean soil temperatures of the corresponding forests.Microbial respiration,biomass,and CUE were measured over one-month incubation period.The results showed that microbial biomass and CUE were significantly higher,but microbial respiration lower in the subtropical and temperate forest soils than in tropical forest soil.Biotic factors mainly affected CUE by their effect on microbial biomass,while temperature affected CUE by altering respiration.Our results indicate that temperature regulates the interactive effects of soil organisms on microbial biomass,respiration,and CUE,which would provide a basis for understanding the soil C cycle in forest ecosystems. | Simin Wang Xiaoyun Chen Debao Li Jianping Wu | 2021 | Soil Ecology Letters2021,3,2: | 1 |
