1Impending HRT wave precursors to the Wenchuan M_s8.0 earthquake and methods of earthquake impending prediction by using HRT wave显示文摘We deployed four geo-electric monitoring stations in Sichuan and Yunnan provinces from 2004, using the new generation of equipment (PS-100) and technologies to capture the HRT wave earthquake precursor. Before the Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake, we recorded the HRT wave precursor at the only operating station in Hongge (HG, Δ=465 km) and found that significant impending signal had been recorded at the station in the early morning ( 0―5 am) of 12th of May, 2008. The precursor for this earthquake is consistent with precursors recorded for other strong earthquakes. The measured physical properties (geo-resistivity and telluric-current) show tidal wave period oscillations from several days to several months before the earthquakes and the amplitude of such HT oscillation increases significantly towards the occurrence of an earthquake. These HT and RT waves from the epicenter have a causal relationship with the earthquakes that happened several days later. The arrival time of two RT waves is proportional to the distance from the station to the epicenter. The estimated natural decay of the amplitude is correlated with the natural period (T0) of the earthquake fault, which is proportional to the fault length. From this relationship, we can predict the earthquake magnitude. For magnitude 6―9 earthquakes, the natural period is about 1―6 hours. Such oscillation comes from the epicenter area and they can propagate several thousand kilometers in the Earth's crust. Before a strong earthquake in the shallow crust, the conductive pore fluid will experience major changes before the fault rapture. Such fluid change will emit an oscillation in the pore fluid pressure. This is the mechanism for the HRT wave generation. Since the China Earthquake Administration funded the HRT wave short-term earth-quake prediction project in 2003, the first record of HRT precursor wave has been recorded from the 2004-12-26 Sumatra Mw9.0 earthquake with the largest epicentre distance Δ=2900 km. Thereafter, we have captured HRT waves from more than twenty strong earthquakes, which are well-matched and show repeatability, consistency and regularity. All our observation with the HRT waves demonstrate that HRT wave precursors to earthquakes indeed exist. Strong earthquakes can be predicted and short-term and impending earthquake prediction is achievable in the very near future. 5Neuron stem cell NLRP6 sustains hippocampal neurogenesis to resist stress-induced depression显示文摘Neurogenesis decline in hippocampal dentate gyrus(DG)participates in stress-induced depressive-like behaviors,but the underlying mechanism remains poorly understood.Here,we observed low-expression of NOD-like receptor family pyrin domain containing 6(NLRP6)in hippocampus of stress-stimulated mice,being consistent with high corticosterone level.NLRP6 was found to be abundantly expressed in neural stem cells(NSCs)of DG.Both Nlrp6 knockout(Nlrp6^(-/-))and NSCconditional Nlrp6 knockout(Nlrp6CKO)mice were susceptible to stress,being more likely to develop depressive-like behaviors.Interestingly,NLRP6 was required for NSC proliferation in sustaining hippocampal neurogenesis and reinforcing stress resilience during growing up.Nlrp6 deficiency promoted esophageal cancer-related gene 4(ECRG4)expression and caused mitochondrial dysfunction.Corticosterone as a stress factor significantly down-regulated NLRP6 expression,damaged mitochondrial function and suppressed cell proliferation in NSCs,which were blocked by Nlrp6 overexpression.ECRG4 knockdown reversed corticosterone-induced NSC mitochondrial function and cell proliferation disorders.Pioglitazone,a well-known clinical drug,up-regulated NLRP6 expression to inhibit ECRG4 expression in its protection against corticosterone-induced NSC mitochondrial dysfunction and proliferation restriction.In conclusion,this study demonstrates that NLRP6 is essential to maintain mitochondrial homeostasis and proliferation in NSCs,and identifies NLRP6 as a promising therapeutic target for hippocampal neurogenesis decline linked to depression.Chuanfeng Tang Qiaona Wang Jingyan Shen Congying Wang Hong Ding Shiyu Wen Fan Yang Ruiqing Jiao Xingxin Wu Jianmei Li Lingdong Kong 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,5:3

9Side-Chain Engineering of Organic Crystals for Lasing Media with Tunable Flexibility显示文摘Abundant high-performance organic crystals have been reported in the past decades;however,applications of crystalline materials are seriously restricted by their notorious brittleness.Recently,some organic crystals have been designed to be deformable in response to stress,light,heat,or humidity;nevertheless,the development of flexible organic crystals currently relies on a molecular framework design.So far there is no effective strategy for constructing organic crystals with tunable flexibility based on the same luminescent skeleton.Herein,we propose a side-chain engineering strategy aimed at facilely modulating the mechanical compliance of organic crystals.Subtly changing the side chains of a single-benzeneπ-skeleton greatly alters the mechanical behaviors while maintaining the unique optical functions of the produced crystals.Optical waveguides and amplified spontaneous emissions were measured to evaluate the application potentials of the flexible crystals as soft optical transducing media.We anticipate that the proposed strategy will be expanded to regulate the mechanical compliance of other organic crystals with unique emission properties.In addition,the applications attempted preliminarily here highlight the superiority of“crystal flexibility”in flexible optoelectronics for some special application scenarios that require complex and shape changeable optical circuits.Baolei Tang Shiyue Tang Cheng Qu Kaiqi Ye Zuolun Zhang Hongyu Zhang 2023CCS Chemistry2023,5,10:1

12Ultrahigh-performance planar β-Ga2O3 solar-blind Schottky photodiode detectors显示文摘The low dark current, high responsivity and high specific detectivity could be preferably achieved in detectors based on junctions, owing to the efficient constraint of carriers. Compared with the other junctions, planar Schottky junctions have simple structures and technological demands and are easy integrated. Herein, in this work, we prepared the β-Ga_(2)O_(3) thin film by metalorganic chemical vapor deposition method to construct planar Ti/β-Ga2O3/Ni Schottky photodiode detectors with different onstate resistances. Fortunately, all the devices exhibit state-of-the-art performances, such as responsivity of 175–1372 A W^(-1),specific detectivity of 10^(14) Jones and external quantum efficiency of 85700%–671500%. 13Evolution of Industrial Competitiveness Based on Evaluation of Urban Competitiveness of Dongguan City:A Case Study of Songshan Lake High-tech Zone显示文摘Based on the theoretical system of urban competitiveness,the evaluation model of urban competitiveness from the perspective of competition and cooperation was established.According to the significance index and explanatory index,the urban competitiveness was divided into urban comprehensive competitiveness(UC),urban internal node competitiveness(NC)and external competitiveness of urban network(EC).The scores and rankings of UC,NC and EC in 2006,2010 and 2015 were obtained by conducting the comprehensive evaluation of the urban competitiveness of Dongguan City with integrated usage of the principal component analysis and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to an Ideal Solution and the data of other 20 cities in Guangdong province,Hong Kong and Macao.The research showed that the competitiveness of Dongguan City has been greatly improved during the decade of 2006–2015,and the regional cities in Guangdong Province had significant differences,which are reflected in the two dimensions of urban internal node competitiveness(NC)and external competitiveness of urban network(EC).Based on this,this study further analyzed Dongguan’s urban competitiveness from two dimensions of NC and EC,and took Dongguan Songshan Lake High-tech Zone as an example to study how to promote Dongguan’s urban competitiveness from the industrial level.TANG Shiyu LU Bin HE Dongran 2020Journal of Landscape Research2020,12,3:0
14Fabrication and comprehensive structural and spectroscopic properties of Er:Y_(2)O_(3)transparent ceramics显示文摘Transparent Er:Y_(2)O_(3)ceramics with sub-micron grain size(<1μm)were fabricated by using one-step vacuum sintering followed by hot isostatic pressing(HIPing)technique.The transmission of the undoped Y_(2)O_(3)reaches 83%.The structural characteristics including the phonon energy were investigated through X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)analysis and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)measurement.The overall spectroscopic properties of transmission,fluorescence emission up to 3000 nm,lifetime,up-conversion luminescence,and refractive index were systematically studied for both 0.25 at%and 7.0 at%Er:Y_(2)O_(3)ceramics with different thicknesses.The comparison of the spectra of the fluorescence emission and up-conversion luminescence under both 976 and 808 nm laser excitation was performed.The multiple high-energy-state transitional processes after the excited state absorption(ESA)processes involved in the up-conversion are discriminated between the multi-phonon non-radiative transitions and the radiative transitions according to the measured maximum phonon vibrational energy.The calculation was performed based on the Judd-Ofelt theory.Yan Ling Xue Feng Zhu Jun Wang Shiyu Sun Lili Hu Dingyuan Tang 2022Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,12:0
15Functional characterization of novel NPRL3 mutations identified in three families with focal epilepsy显示文摘Focal epilepsy accounts for 60% of all forms of epilepsy, but the pathogenic mechanism is not well understood. In this study,three novel mutations in NPRL3(nitrogen permease regulator-like 3), c.937_945del, c.1514dup C and 6,706-bp genomic DNA(g DNA) deletion, were identified in three families with focal epilepsy by linkage analysis, whole exome sequencing(WES) and Sanger sequencing. NPRL3 protein is a component of the GATOR1 complex, a major inhibitor of m TOR signaling. These mutations led to truncation of the NPRL3 protein and hampered the binding between NPRL3 and DEPDC5, which is another component of the GATOR1 complex. Consequently, the mutant proteins enhanced m TOR signaling in cultured cells, possibly due to impaired inhibition of m TORC1 by GATOR1. Knockdown of nprl3 in Drosophila resulted in epilepsy-like behavior and abnormal synaptic development. 16Amplitude Ratio of Regional Seismic Phases: An Efficient Indicator of Thermal State of the Lithosphere显示文摘By analyzing seismograms of short period records at the Beijing SeismoJogicaJ Observatory, the present paper investigates the amplitude ratio of seismic phases. The results indicate that the amplitude ratio of Sn/Lg is correlated with the lithosphere structure, the thermal state, and strong earthquake occurrence in the region the seismic rays pass through. As the difference of hybrid energy source in stability and economy, thus, this paper focuses on the network with hybrid energy source, and design the utility of each user in the hybrid energy source system from the perspective of stability, economy and environment pollution. A dual power allocation algorithm based on Stackelberg game to maximize the utilities of users and networks is proposed. In addition, an iteration method is proposed which enables all players to reach the Stackelberg equilibrium(SE). 18Effect of Sand Content on Strength and Pore Structure of Cement Mortar显示文摘The effects of four sand contents on the compressive, flexural and splitting-tensile strength of cement mortars were evaluated. Moreover, we experimentally investigated the pore structure of cement mortar brought about by changing the sand content and water/cement ratio. The changes in the pore structure were quantified by measuring the porosity and pore size distribution obtained by using mercury intrusion porosimetry(MIP) technique. The test results show that the strengths of cement mortar increase with increasing sand content. It is also suggested that the traditional water/cement ratio law can be applied to cement mortar with different sand contents, provided that a slight modification is introduced. Sand content is an important parameter influencing the pore structure of cement mortar. 19SERPINE2 promotes liver cancer metastasis by inhibiting c-Cbl-mediated EGFR ubiquitination and degradation显示文摘Background:Liver cancer is a malignancy with high morbidity and mortality rates.Serpin family E member 2(SERPINE2)has been reported to play a key role in the metastasis of many tumors.In this study,we aimed to investigate the potential mechanism of SERPINE2 in liver cancer metastasis.Methods:The Cancer Genome Atlas database(TCGA),including DNA methy-lation and transcriptome sequencing data,was utilized to identify the crucial oncogene associated with DNA methylation and cancer progression in liver can-cer.Data from the TCGA and RNA sequencing for 94 pairs of liver cancer tissues were used to explore the correlation between SERPINE2 expression and clin-ical parameters of patients.DNA methylation sequencing was used to detect the DNA methylation levels in liver cancer tissues and cells.RNA sequencing,cytokine assays,immunoprecipitation(IP)and mass spectrometry(MS)assays,protein stability assays,and ubiquitination assays were performed to explore the regulatory mechanism of SERPINE2 in liver cancer metastasis.Patient-derived xenografts and tumor organoid models were established to determine the role of SERPINE2 in the treatment of liver cancer using sorafenib.Results:Based on the public database screening,SERPINE2 was identified as a tumor promoter regulated by DNA methylation.SERPINE2 expression was significantly higher in liver cancer tissues and was associated with the dismal prognosis in patients with liver cancer.SERPINE2 promoted liver cancer metas-tasis by enhancing cell pseudopodia formation,cell adhesion,cancer-associated fibroblast activation,extracellular matrix remodeling,and angiogenesis.IP/MS assays confirmed that SERPINE2 activated epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)and its downstream signaling pathways by interacting with EGFR.Mechanistically,SERPINE2 inhibited EGFR ubiquitination and maintained its protein stability by competing with the E3 ubiquitin ligase,c-Cbl.Additionally,EGFR was activated in liver cancer cells after sorafenib treatment,and SER-PINE2 knockdown-induced EGFR downregulation significantly enhanced the therapeutic efficacy of sorafenib against liver cancer.Furthermore,we found that SERPINE2 knockdown also had a sensitizing effect on lenvatinib treatment.Conclusions:SERPINE2 promoted liver cancer metastasis by preventing EGFR degradation via c-Cbl-mediated ubiquitination,suggesting that inhibition of the SERPINE2-EGFR axis may be a potential target for liver cancer treatment.Shiyu Zhang Xing Jia Haojiang Dai Xingxin Zhu Wenfeng Song Suchen Bian Hao Wu Shinuo Chen Yangbo Tang Junran Chen Cheng Jin Mengqiao Zhou Haiyang Xie Shusen Zheng Penghong Song 2024Cancer Communications2024,44,3:0
20Revealing structure behavior behind the piezoelectric performance of prototype lead-free Bi_(0.5)Na_(0.5)TiO_(3)-BaTiO_(3) under in-situ electric field显示文摘Bi_(0.5)Na_(0.5)TiO_(3)-BaTiO_(3)(BNT-100xBT)ceramics are promising candidates for piezoelectric applications.The correlation between their structure and piezoelectric properties has attracted considerable interest.Herein,the structures of 6BT and 7BT with distinct piezoelectricity are investigated via in-situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy.It is found that although both compositions present morphotropic phase boundary(MPB)features with coexisting R3c and P4bm phases,their refined structures are significantly different.6BT is composed of the R3c phase with a small P4bm fraction after electrical poling,while 7BT presents comparable fractions of the two phases.Less pronounced structure distortion and oxygen octahedral tilting occur in 7BT,which favor the phase transformation,resulting in an enhanced piezoelectricity.This enhancement driven by structural flexibility is elucidated by phenomenological analysis.These results demonstrate that the design of high piezoelectricity at MPBs should consider not only the phase-coexisting states but also the refined crystal structure.Huajie Luo Shiyu Tang Hui Liu Zheng Sun Baitao Gao Yang Ren He Qi Shiqing Deng Houbing Huang Jun Chen 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,6:0
