| 1 | A GFP-based bacterial biosensor with chromosomally integrated sensing cassette for quantitative detection of Hg(Ⅱ) in environment显示文摘A mercury biosensor was constructed by integrating biosensor genetic elements into E. coli JM109 chromosome in a single copy number, using the attP/attB recombination mechanism of λ phage. The genetic elements used include a regulatory protein gene (merR) along with operator/promoter (O/P) derived from the mercury resistance operon from pDU1358 plasmid of Serratia marcescens. The expression of reporter gene gfp is also controlled by merR/O/P. Integration of the construct into the chromosome was done to increase the stability and precision of the biosensor. This biosensor could detect Hg(Ⅱ) ions in the concentration range of 100–1700 nmol/L, and manifest the result as the expression of GFP. The GFP expression was significantly different (P 0.05) for each concentration of inducing Hg(Ⅱ) ions in the detection range, which reduces the chances of misinterpretation of results. | 2 | Palliative surgical bypass for unresectable periampullary carcinoma显示文摘BACKGROUND:Around 60%to 80%of patients with periampullary carcinoma are unresectable either due to distant metastasis or local vascular invasion.With the advancement of endoscopic interventional procedures,the role of surgical bypass has diminished.However,surgical bypass is still appropriate in patients with unresectable disease discovered at the time of surgery.This study was conducted to assess the results of palliative surgical bypass for patients with unresectable periampullary carcinoma at our hospital,a tertiary referral center of Northern India. METHOD:The study group comprised 204 patients who had undergone surgical bypass for advanced periampullary carcinoma over the last 15 years. RESULTS:Between January 1990 and December 2004,204 patients(128 males,76 females)consisting of 179 patients with carcinoma of head of the pancreas,14 patients with ampullary carcinoma,8 patients with lower end cholangiocarcinoma and 3 patients with duodenal carcinoma underwent surgical bypass.Their average age was 51 years (range 20-78 years).Both biliary and gastric bypasses were done in 158(77.45%),biliary bypass alone in 37(18.13%) and gastric bypass alone in 9(4.32%).Biliary bypass was done by Roux-en-Y hepaticojejunostomy,and gastric bypass by retrocolic gastrojejunostomy.The overall postoperative mortality and morbidity were 0.98%and 26.9%,respectively The patients who died had undergone previously endoscopic intervention.Complications included wound infection in 12.25%of the patients,bile leak in 5.12%,delayed gastric emptying in 5.38%,ascitic leak from drains in 8.8%,and upper gastrointestinal bleeding in 1.96%.The incidences of wound infection and bile leak both were significantly higher in patients who had had preoperative biliary stenting None of the patients who had undergone Roux-en-Y hepati cojejunostomy+retrocolic gastrojejunostomy required any intervention later in their life.CONCLUSIONS:Surgical bypass is a safe procedure with negligible mortality and minimal morbidity.It has not lost its relevance and is an appropriate treatment in patients deemed unresectable on peroperative assessment. | Shivendra Singh Ajay Kumar Sachdev Adarsh Chaudhary Anil Kumar Agarwal | 2008 | Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Diseases International2008,7,3: | 3 |
| 3 | 铬解毒机制诱导香根草的生长和抗氧化反应(英文)显示文摘本文研究了铬(Cr)对香根草(Chrysopogon zizanioides)生长以及抗氧化防御酶活性的影响,探讨其对Cr的解毒机制。在50 mg/L Cr处理条件下,植物地上部分和地下部分的生长量分别降低了36.8%和45.0%;Cr在植物地下部分的积累量(9807μg/g干重)大于地上部分的积累量(8730μg/g干重)。随着Cr添加量的增加,光合色素和丙二醛含量增加,在30 mg/L Cr处理条件下含量达到最高,之后,随着Cr处理浓度的增加略有下降;同时,抗氧化防御酶(超氧化物歧化酶、过氧化氢酶和过氧化物酶)的活性显著提高,在较高浓度Cr处理下略有下降。同工酶结果显示在高浓度Cr处理下,超氧化物歧化酶、过氧化氢酶和过氧化物酶的条带强度降低。目前研究结果表明,高浓度Cr导致活性氧过量产生,从而增加了对香根草的氧化损伤,而光合色素、丙二醛、抗氧化酶含量的增加表明香根草对Cr有潜在的耐性机制。结果表明,香根草具有对Cr的解毒机制,并可以积累高浓度的Cr。本文为更深入地研究根草对Cr的解毒机制提供了依据。 | Manikdanan RAJENDRAN 安文慧 李伟展 Venkatachalam PERUMAL 吴川 Shivendra Vikram SAHI Santosh Kumar SARKAR | 2019 | Journal of Central South University2019,26,2: | 3 |
| 4 | Designing a Mini-Core Collection Effectively Representing 3004 Diverse Rice Accessions显示文摘Genetic diversity provides the foundation for plant breeding and genetic research.Over 3000 rice genomes were recently sequenced as part of the 3K Rice Genome(3KRG)Project.We added four additional Indian rice accessions to create a panel of 3004 accessions.However,such a large collection of germplasm is difficult to preserve and evaluate.The construction of core and mini-core collections is an efficient method for the management of genetic resources.In this study,we developed a mini-core comprising 520 accessions that captured most of the SNPs and represented all of the phenotypes and geographic regions from the original panel.The mini-core was validated using different statistical analyses and contained representatives from all major rice groups,including japonica,indica,aus/boro,and aromatic/basmati.Genomewide association analyses of the mini-core panel efficiently reproduced the marker–trait associations identified in the original panel.Haplotype analysis validated the utility of the mini-core panel.In the current era with many ongoing large-scale sequencing projects,such a strategy for mini-core design should be useful in many crops.The rice mini-core collection developed in this study would be valuable for agronomic trait evaluation and useful for rice improvement via marker-assisted molecular breeding. | Angad Kumar Shivendra Kumar Kajol B.M.Singh Manoj Prasad Jitendra K.Thakur | 2020 | Plant Communications2020,1,5: | 3 |

| 10 | A novel design approach of charge plasma tunnel FET for radio frequency applications显示文摘In this paper, the impact of extra electron source(EES) and dual metal gate engineering on conventional charge plasma TFET(CP-TFET) have been done for improving DC and analog/RF parameters. CP-TFET structure is upgraded to double source CP-TFET(DS-CP-TFET) by placing an EES below the source/channel junction for enhancing the device performance in terms of driving current and RF figures of merit(FOMs). But, in spite of these pros, the approach is having cons of higher leakage current similar to MOSFET and negative conductance(inherent nature of TFET). Both the issues have been resolved in the double source dual gate CP-TFET(DS-DG-CP-TFET) by gate workfunction engineering and drain underlapping respectively.
