| 1 | Distribution of soil aggregates and organic carbon in deep soil under long-term conservation tillage with residual retention in dryland显示文摘To ascertain the effects of long-term conservation tillage and residue retention on soil organic carbon(SOC) content and aggregate distribution in a deep soil(>20-cm depth) in a dryland environment,this paper analyzed the SOC and aggregate distribution in soil, and the aggregate-associated organic carbon(OC) and SOC physical fractions. Conservation tillage(reduced tillage with residue incorporated(RT) and no-tillage with residue mulch(NT)) significantly increased SOC sequestration and soil aggregation in deep soil compared with conventional tillage with residue removal(CT). Compared with CT, RT significantly increased the proportion of small macroaggregates by 23%–81% in the 10–80 cm layer, and the OC content in small macroaggregates by 1%–58% in the 0–80 cm layer. RT significantly increased(by 24%–90%) the OC content in mineral-SOC within small macroaggregates in the 0–60 cm layer, while there was a 23%–80% increase in the 0–40 cm layer with NT. These results indicated that:(1) conservation tillage treatments are beneficial for soil aggregation and SOC sequestration in a deep soil in a dryland environment; and(2)the SOC in mineral-associated OC plays important roles in soil aggregation and SOC sequestration. | 2 | Porosity Effects on Mechanical Properties of 3D Random Fibrous Materials at Elevated Temperatures显示文摘In this study,we prepare the specimens of three-dimensional random fibrous(3D RF)material along its through-the-thickness(TTT)and in-plane(IP)directions.The experimental tests of tensile and compressive properties as well as fracture toughness of 3D RF material are performed at elevated temperatures.Then,the porosity(83%,87%and 89%)and temperature dependence of the tensile and compressive strength,elastic modulus,fracture toughness and fracture surface energy of the 3D RF materials for both the TTT and IP directions are analyzed.From the results of the tensile strength and elastic modulus versus material porosities at various temperatures,we find that tensile strength and elastic modulus for the TTT direction are more sensitive to the porosity,but not for the IP direction.Fracture toughness increases firstly and then decreases at a certain critical temperature.Such critical temperature is found to be the lowest for the porosity of 83%.On the other hand,at below 1073 K,the temperature-dependent fracture surface energies with three porosities for the TTT direction show similar variation trends. | Datao Li Wenshan Yu Wei Xia Qinzhi Fang Shengping Shen | 2020 | Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2020,33,1: | 2 |
| 3 | Reconstruction clipping of ruptured anterior circulation aneurysms via supraorbital lateral keyhole approach显示文摘Background:Intracranial aneurysm(IA)is a serious disease.Analyze and review the cases of anterior circulation ruptured IA by supraorbital lateral keyhole approach,and summarize the experiences of this approach.Methods:Retrospective analysis of 16 cases of ruptured anterior circulation IA in our department from January 2019 to June 2020,CT angiography(CTA)was performed before operation.Analyzing the IA’s parameters by 3D-CT reconstruction.The IA was clipped by supraorbital lateral keyhole approach combined with the 3D-skull reconstruction.Extraventricular drainage was performed before craniotomy.Intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring was performed during the operation.After operation,fluorescein angiography and vascular ultrasound were performed to check the clipping effect.Intracranial pressure monitor was performed postoperatively.CTA was reexamined one week after operation.The modified Rankin Scale(MRS)was performed 6 months after operation.Results:There were 7 males(43.8%)and 9 females(56.2%),and the average age is 52.31±11.12 years old.Among them,11 patients(68.8%)were anterior communicating artery aneurysms and 5(31.2%)were middle cerebral artery aneurysms.All patients were out of hospital within 10 days without any death,without cerebral infarction,cerebrospinal fluid leakage and neurological impairments.About mRS score,after 6 months follow-up,8 cases(50%)had 0 point,4 cases(25%)had 1 point,and 4 cases(25%)had 2 points.Conclusions:For ruptured anterior circulation IA,the supraorbital lateral keyhole approach combined with ventricular drainage,intraoperative electrophysiological monitoring,and intraoperative vascular ultrasound is a safe and minimally invasive treatment.The application of reconstruction clipping can reconstruct the diameter of parent vessel and reduce the recurrence rate of IA. | Yuzhang Wu Yan Zhao Shengping Yu Fan Li Shifei Cai Chao Peng Zhen Wang Yifan Yang Bangyue Wang Xinyu Yang | 2022 | Chinese Neurosurgical Journal2022,8,2: | 2 |
| 4 | Central role of myeloid MCPIP1 in protecting against LPSinduced inflammation and lung injury显示文摘Although systemic inflammatory responses attributable to infection may lead to significant lung injury,the precise molecular mechanisms leading to lung damage are poorly understood and therapeutic options remain limited.Here,we show that myeloid monocyte chemotactic protein-inducible protein 1(MCPIP1)plays a central role in protecting against LPS-induced inflammation and lung injury.Myeloid-specific MCPIP1 knockout mice developed spontaneous inflammatory syndromes,but at a late age compared to global MCPIP1 knockout mice.Moreover,mice with a myeloid-specific deletion of MCPIP1 were extremely sensitive to LPS-induced lung injury due to overproduction of proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines.We identified C/EBPβand C/EBPδ,two critical transcriptional factors that drive cytokine production and lung injury,as targets of MCPIP1 RNase.LPS administration caused MCPIP1 protein degradation in the lungs.Pharmacological inhibition of MALT1,a paracaspase that cleaves MCPIP1,by MI-2 selectively increased the MCPIP1 protein levels in macrophages and in the lungs.Meanwhile,administration of MI-2 protected mice from LPS-induced inflammation,lung injury and death.Collectively,these results indicate that myeloid MCPIP1 is central in controlling LPS-induced inflammation and lung injury.Pharmacological inhibition of MALT1 protease activity may be a good strategy to treat inflammatory diseases by enhancing MCPIP1 expression in myeloid cells. | Yong Li Xuan Huang Shengping Huang Hui He Tianhua Lei Fatma Saaoud Xiao-Qiang Yu Ari Melnick Anil Kumar Christopher J Papasian Daping Fan Mingui Fu | 2017 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2017,2,1: | 2 |

| 6 | Analysis of Saccharina japonica transcriptome using the high-throughput DNA sequencing technique and its vanadium-dependent haloperoxidase gene显示文摘Saccharina is one of the most important cold-water living marine brown algal genera.In this study we analyzed the transcriptome of S.japonica,which belongs to the 1 000 Plants(OneKP) Project,by using a nextgeneration high-throughput DNA sequencing technique.About 5.16 GB of raw data were generated,and 65 536 scaffolds with an average length of 454 bp were assembled with SOAP de novo assembly method.In total,19 040 unigenes were identified by BLAST;25 734 scaffolds were clustered into 37 Gene ontology functional groups;6 760 scaffolds were classified into 25 COG categories,as well as 2 665 scaffolds that were assigned to 306 KEGG pathways.Majority of the unigenes exhibited more similarities to algae including brown algae and diatom than other cyanobacteria,marine diatom,and plant.Saccharina japonica has the outstanding capability to accumulate halogen such as Br and I via halogenation processes from seawater.We acquired 42 different vanadium-dependent haloperoxidases(vHPO) in S.japonica transcriptome data,including 5 segments of vanadium-dependent iodoperoxidase(vIPO) and 37 segments of vanadium-dependent bromoperoxidase(vBPO).Complicated analyses of identified fulllength S.japonica vBPO1 and S.japonica vBPO2 revealed the importance of vBPO among species of brown algae and the strong relationship between marine algal vBPOs and vIPOs.This study will enhance our understanding of the biological characteristics and economic values of S.japonica species. | LIANG Xiayuan WANG Xumin CHI Shan WU Shuangxiu SUN Jing LIU Cui CHEN Shengping YU Jun LIU Tao | 2014 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2014,33,2: | 1 |

| 13 | Molecular basis of heterosis and related breeding strategies reveal its importance in vegetable breeding显示文摘Heterosis has historically been exploited in plants;however,its underlying genetic mechanisms and molecular basis remain elusive.In recent years,due to advances in molecular biotechnology at the genome,transcriptome,proteome,and epigenome levels,the study of heterosis in vegetables has made significant progress.Here,we present an extensive literature review on the genetic and epigenetic regulation of heterosis in vegetables.We summarize six hypotheses to explain the mechanism by which genes regulate heterosis,improve upon a possible model of heterosis that is triggered by epigenetics,and analyze previous studies on quantitative trait locus effects and gene actions related to heterosis based on analyses of differential gene expression in vegetables.We also discuss the contributions of yield-related traits,including flower,fruit,and plant architecture traits,during heterosis development in vegetables(e.g.,cabbage,cucumber,and tomato).More importantly,we propose a comprehensive breeding strategy based on heterosis studies in vegetables and crop plants.The description of the strategy details how to obtain F_(1) hybrids that exhibit heterosis based on heterosis prediction,how to obtain elite lines based on molecular biotechnology,and how to maintain heterosis by diploid seed breeding and the selection of hybrid simulation lines that are suitable for heterosis research and utilization in vegetables.Finally,we briefly provide suggestions and perspectives on the role of heterosis in the future of vegetable breeding. | Daoliang Yu Xingfang Gu Shengping Zhang Shaoyun Dong Han Miao Kiros Gebretsadik Kailiang Bo | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 1 |
| 14 | Chemo-mechanical coupling effect in the high-temperature oxidation of metal materials: A review显示文摘The metal materials are susceptible to be oxidized when they are exposed to the complex and harsh environments, especially at the elevated temperature. The development of corresponding chemo-mechanical coupling theory is indispensable in theoretically and numerically predicting the material properties reduction and failures due to the oxidation. In this paper, we review the historical sketch of the coupling theory of chemical reactions and mechanics in the high-temperature oxidation of metal materials. The oxidation results in the stress generation while the generated stress in turn affects the chemical reaction rate and the diffusion process of the reactants. It is therefore a complex chemo-mechanical coupling problem. This review begins with the discussion of the diffusion-controlled oxidation, and then discusses the stress-dependent diffussion during the oxidation and the oxide growth induced stress, and ends with the discussion of interaction between chemical reactions and stress. | 16 | Stabilizing mechanism of single-atom catalysts on a defective carbon surface显示文摘Single-atom(SA)catalysts represent the ultimate limit of atom use efficiency for catalysis.Promising experimental progress in synthesizing SA catalysts aside,the atomic-scale transformation mechanism from metal nanoparticles(NPs)to metal SAs and the stabilization mechanism of SA catalysts at high temperature remain elusive.Through systematic molecular dynamics simulations,for the first time,we reveal the atomic-scale mechanisms associated with the transformation of a metal NP into an array of stable SAs on a defective carbon surface at a high temperature,using Au as a model material.Simulations reveal the pivotal role of defects in the carbon surface in trapping and stabilizing the Au-SAs at high temperatures,which well explain previous experimental observations.Furthermore,reactive simulations demonstrate that the thermally stable Au-SAs exhibit much better catalyst activity than Au-NPs for the methane oxidation at high temperatures,in which the substantially reduced energy barriers for oxidation reaction steps are the key.Findings in this study offer mechanistic and quantitative guidance for material selection and optimal synthesis conditions to stabilize metal SA catalysts at high temperatures. | Lianping Wu Shuling Hu Wenshan Yu Shengping Shen Teng Li | 2020 | npj Computational Materials2020,,1: | 0 |
| 17 | Air pressure law of a reservoir constructed in karst sinkholes显示文摘Karst sinkholes with natural negative landform provide favorable conditions for the pumped storage reservoir construction for less excavation work.However,the construction of the reservoir would plug the natural karst channels for water and air,which would cause remarkable air pressure in karst channels when the groundwater level fluctuates.A large laboratory simulation test was carried out to study the air pressure variation of a reservoir built on the karst sinkhole.The air pressure in the karst channel and inside the model was monitored during the groundwater rising and falling process.Result showed that the variation of air pressure in the karst channel and the surrounding rock exhibited a high degree of similarity.The air pressure increased rapidly at the initial stage of water level rising,followed by a slight decrease,then the air pressure increased sharply when the water level approached the top of the karst cave.The initial peak of air pressure and the final peak of air pressure were defined,and both air pressure peaks were linearly increasing with the water level rising rate.The negative air pressure was also analyzed during the drainage process,which was linearly correlated with the water level falling rate.The causes of air pressure variation in karst channels of a pumped storage reservoir built on the karst sinkhole were discussed.The initial rapid increase,then slight decrease and final sudden increase of air pressure were controlled by the combined effects of air compression in karst channel and air seepage into the surrounding rock.For the drainage process,the instant negative air pressure and gradual recovering of air pressure were controlled by the combined effects of negative air pressure induced by water level falling and air supply from surrounding rock.This work could provide valuable reference for the reservoir construction in karst area. | YU Bo TAI Shengping ZHENG Kexun CHEN Shiwan HAN Xiao WANG Senlin ZUO Shuangying | 2024 | Journal of Mountain Science2024,21,3: | 0 |

| 20 | Shear response of β-SiC bulk dependent on temperature and strain rate显示文摘The shear responses of β-SiC are investigated using molecular dynamics simulation with the Tersoff interatomic potential. Results show a clear decreasing trend in critical stress,fracture strain and shear modulus as temperature increases. Above a critical temperature, β-SiC bulk just fractures after the elastic deformation. However, below the critical temperature, an interesting pattern in β-SiC bulk emerges due to the elongation of Si-C bonds before fracture. Additionally, the shear deformation of β-SiC at room temperature is found to be dependent on the strain rate.
