1Enhanced photocatalytic N2 fixation by promoting N2 adsorption with a co-catalyst显示文摘Photocatalytic N2 fixation involves a nitrogen reduction reaction on the surface of the photocatalyst to convert N2 into ammonia.Currently,the adsorption of N2 is the limiting step for the N2 reduction reaction on the surface of the catalyst.Based on the concept of photocatalytic water splitting,the photocatalytic efficiency can be greatly enhanced by introducing a co-catalyst.In this report,we proposed a new strategy,namely,the loading of a NiS co-catalyst on CdS nanorods for photocatalytic N2 fixation.Theoretical calculation results indicated that N2 was effectively adsorbed onto the NiS/CdS surface.Temperature programmed desorption studies confirmed that the N2 molecules preferred to adsorb onto the NiS/CdS surface.Linear sweep voltammetry results revealed that the overpotential of the N2 reduction reaction was reduced by loading NiS.Furthermore,transient photocurrent and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy indicated that the charge separation was enhanced by introducing NiS.Photocatalytic N2 fixation was carried out in the presence of the catalyst dispersed in water without any sacrificial agent.As a result,1.0 wt% NiS/CdS achieved an ammonia production rate of 2.8 and 1.7 mg L-1 for the first hour under full spectrum and visible light(λ>420 nm),respectively.The catalyst demonstrated apparent quantum efficiencies of 0.76%,0.39% and 0.09% at 420,475 and 520 nm,res pectively.This study provides a new method to promote the photocatalytic efficiency of N2 fixation.Xiang Gao Li An Dan Qu Wenshuai Jiang Yanxiao Chai Shaorui Sun Xingyuan Liu Zaicheng Sun 2019Science Bulletin2019,64,13:6

3Cloning, expression and protective immunity evalua-tion of the full-length cDNA encoding succinate dehydrogenase iron-sulfur protein of Schistosoma japonicum显示文摘1071-bp fragment was obtained from the Schistosoma japonicum (Chinese strain) adult cDNA library after the 3′ and 5′ ends of the incomplete expression sequence tag (EST) of succinate dehydrogenase iron-sulfur protein of Schistosoma japonicum (SjSDISP) were amplified by the anchored PCR with 2 pairs of primers designed according to the EST of SjSDISP and the sequence of multiclone sites of the library vector. Sequence analysis indicated that the fragment was a full-length cDNA with a complete open reading frame (ORF), encoding 278 amino acid residues. The fragment was cloned into prokary- otic expression vector pQE30, and subsequently sequenced and expressed in Escherichia coli. SDS-PAGE and Western-blot analyses showed that the recombinant protein was about 32 kD and could be recognized by the polyclonal antisera from rabbits immunized with Schistosoma japonicum adult worm antigen. Compared with the FCA controls, mice vaccinated with rSjSDISP (test) or rSjGST (posi- tive control) all revealed high levels of specific antibody and significant reduction in worm burden, liver eggs per gram (LEPG), fecal eggs per gram (FEPG) and intrauterine eggs. These results suggest that SjSDISP may be a novel and partially protective vaccine candidate against schistosomiasis. 5Renewable biomass-derived carbons for electrochemical capacitor applications显示文摘Biomass is rich,renewable,sustainable,and green resources,thereby excellent raw material for the fabrication of carbon materials.The diversity in structure and morphology of biomass are relevant in obtaining carbon materials with dif-ferent structures and performances.The inherent ordered porous structure of biomass also benefits the activation process to yield porous carbons with ultra-high specific surface area and pore volume.Besides,obtained biomass-derived carbons(BDCs)are hard carbon with porous morphology,stable structure,supe-rior hardness/strength,and good cycling performances when used in electro-chemical capacitors(ECs).The inherent N,S,P,and O elements in biomass yield naturally self-doped N,S,P,and O BDCs with unique intrinsic structures.In this paper,the synthesis approaches and applications of BDCs in ECs are reviewed.It shows that BDCs electrochemical performances are highly determined by their pore structures,specific surface areas,heteroatoms doping,graphitization degree,defects,and morphologies.The electrochemical performances of BDCs can further be improved by compositing with other materials,such as graphene,carbon nanofibers/nanotubes,transition metal oxides or hydroxides,and con-ducting polymers.The future challenges and outlooks of BDCs are also provided.Xianyou Luo Shaorui Chen Tianzhao Hu Yong Chen Feng Li 2021SusMat2021,1,2:3
6A precise theoretical method for high-throughput screening of novel organic electrode materials for Li-ion batteries显示文摘Organic electrode materials have gained significant attention due to their flexibility,lightweight characteristics,abundant resources in nature,and low CO_(2) emission.It's urgently needed for setting up an accurate high-throughput screening theoretical scheme that could find out possible candidates of electrode materials.Currently,the error between the theoretical potentials calculated by the PBE-D2(DFT-D2,dispersion-corrected density functional theory)method and the experimental values is larger than 12%.Thus,it's essential to finding a more accurate method.In the present work,hybrid functionals and vdW correction methods are applied to investigate six reported organic electrode materials for Li-ion batteries.The results show that the hybrid functional combined with the D2 dispersion corrected method,i.e.,HSE06-D2(Heyd,Scuseria,and Ernzerhof,dispersion-corrected),is able to predict the potential of the organic material precisely with an average error of approximately 5%.This method occupies much hardware resources and being very time consuming,but it could be applied as the final ultrafine step in the high-throughput screening program.Wanwan Zhang Pengkun Sun Shaorui Sun 2017Journal of Materiomics2017,3,3:2
