1Effect of scraping therapy on weightlifting ability显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To verify the effects of scraping therapy on the weightlifting ability by measuring the subjective sensation,and changes of biomarkers.METHODS:Five students,who have been trained for 3 years in a sport school in China were participated in this study.A course of scraping therapy was applied to intervene during the normal 7-week of weightlifting training programme.The ability of weightlifting,the scale of rating perceived exertion and serum biochemical markers were measured before and after the intervention.RESULTS:Scraping therapy caused a significant increase in weightlifting ability(P<0.05).The level of rating perceived exertion remained stable with the increase in the training volume.Immuno-globulinA was significantly increased(P<0.05),and creatine kinase and blood urea nitrogen were significantly decreased(P<0.05).No significant changes were observed in white blood cell,neutrophil,and testosterone.CONCLUSION:Scraping therapy may facilitate weightlifting ability mainly by decreasing weight sensation and improving serum biochemical parameters.Xingze Wang Wichai Eungpinichpong Jinsheng Yang Uraiwan Chatchawan Saowanee Nakmareong Yingying Wang Xinyan Gao 2014Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2014,34,1:11
2Towards a natural classification of Botryosphaeriales显示文摘The type specimens of Auerswaldia,Auerswaldiella,Barriopsis,Botryosphaeria,Leptoguignardia,Melanops,Neodeightonia,Phaeobotryon,Phaeobotryosphaeria,Phyllachorella,Pyrenostigme,Saccharata,Sivanesania,Spencermartinsia and Vestergrenia were examined and fresh specimens of Botryosphaeriales were collected from Thailand.This material is used to provide a systematic treatment of Botryosphaeriales based on morphology and phylogeny.Two new genera,Botryobambusa and Cophinforma are introduced and comparedwith existing genera.Four species newto science,Auerswaldia dothiorella,A.lignicola,Botryosphaeria fusispora and Phaeobotryosphaeria eucalypti,are also described and justified.We accept 29 genera in Botryosphaeriales,with Macrovalsaria being newly placed.In the phylogenetic tree,the 114 strains of Botyrosphaeriales included in the analysis cluster into two major clades with 80%,96%and 1.00(MP,ML and BY)support,with Clade A containing the family type of Botryosphaeriaceae,and Clade B containing Phyllosticta,Saccharata and Melanops species.This group may represent Phyllostictaceae.In Clade A the taxa analyzed cluster in eight sub-clades(Clades A1-8).Clade A1 comprises three distinct subclusters corresponding to the genera Diplodia(Diplodia Clade),Neodeightonia(Neodeightonia Clade)and Lasiodiplodia(Lasiodiplodia Clade).Clade A2 clusters into three groups representing Phaeobotryosphaeria(100%),Phaeobotryon(100%)and Barriopsis(94%).Clade A3 incorporates 17 strains that cluster into three well-supported genera(Dothiorella(86%),Spencermartinsia(100%)and Auerswaldia(63%);the position of Macrophomina is not stable.Clade A4 is a single lineage(100%)representing the new genus Botryobambusa.Clade A5 is a wellsupported subclade incorporating Neofussicoccum.Clade A6 represents the type species of Botryosphaeria,three other Botryosphaeria species and two other genera,Neoscytalidium and Cophinforma gen.nov.Clade A7 comprises two Pseudofusicoccum species and Clade A8 has two Aplosporella species.These sub-clades may eventually require separate families but this requires analysis of a much larger dataset.Our data advances the understanding of Botryosphaeriales,there is,however,still much research to be carried out with resolution of families and genera,linkage of sexual and asexual morphs and differentiation of cryptic species.Jian-Kui Liu Rungtiwa Phookamsak Mingkhuan Doilom Saowanee Wikee Yan-Mei Li Hiran Ariyawansha Saranyaphat Boonmee Putarak Chomnunti Dong-Qin Dai Jayarama D.Bhat Andrea I.Romero Wen-Ying Zhuang Jutamart Monkai E.B.Gareth Jones Ekachai Chukeatirote Thida Win Ko Ko Yong-Chang Zhao Yong Wang Kevin D.Hyde 2012Fungal Diversity2012,,6:4
3Factor influencing land degradation sensitivity and desertification in a drought prone watershed in Thailand显示文摘This study aimed to assess land degradation sensitivity of an area contributing to desertification risk in Lam Ta Kong Watershed using Environmental Sensitivity Area Index(ESAI).Five risk factors comprised climatic,soil,geographical,land utilization and vegetation,and water resources factors together with fifteen sub-factors were used to analyze the sensitivity to land degradation.The spatial analysis was calculated using Geographic Information System(GIS)and Remote Sensing(RS)techniques.The key factors influencing land degradation risks in the watershed area were analyzed using the triangular fuzzy numbers(TFNs)method.The results showed that approximately 33%of Lam Ta Kong watershed was affected by a high desertification risk excluded the water bodies and around 24.64%of the area suffered from a moderate risk.This research pointed out that key factors causing land degradation and desertification in the watershed area were related to the soil factors,followed by climatic,geographical factors,water resources,and land utilization and vegetation,respectively.The results of this study can be used as a database for planning and implementing area-based mitigations and measures as well as for land use planning in the watershed area.Saowanee Wijitkosum 2021International Soil and Water Conservation Research2021,9,2:3

7Phyllosticta capitalensis,a widespread endophyte of plants显示文摘Phyllosticta capitalensis is an endophyte and weak plant pathogen with a worldwide distribution presently known from 70 plant families.This study isolated P.capitalensis from different host plants in northern Thailand,and determined their different life modes.Thirty strains of P.capitalensis were isolated as endophytes from 20 hosts.An additional 30 strains of P.capitalensis from other hosts and geographic locations were also obtained from established culture collections.Phylogenetic analysis using ITS,ACTand TEF gene data confirmed the identity of all isolates.Pathogenicity tests with five strains of P.capitalensis originating from different hosts were completed on their respective host plants.In all cases there was no infection of healthy leaves,indicating that this endophyte does not cause disease on healthy,unstressed host plants.That P.capitalensis is often isolated as an endophyte has important implications in fungal biology and plant health.Due to its endophytic nature,P.capitalensisis commonly found associated with lesions of plants,and often incorrectly identified as a species of quarantine importance,which again has implications for trade in agricultural and forestry production.Saowanee Wikee Lorenzo Lombard Pedro W.Crous Chiharu Nakashima Keiichi Motohashi Ekachai Chukeatirote Siti A.Alias Eric H.C.McKenzie Kevin D.Hyde 2013Fungal Diversity2013,,3:1

9Screening of Fabry disease in patients with end-stage renal disease of unknown etiology:the first Thailand study显示文摘We aimed to explore the prevalence of Fabry disease in Thai patients who were diagnosed with end-stage renal disease(ESRD) of an unknown origin.Venous blood samples were collected from ESRD patients for biochemical and molecular studies.Alpha-galactosidase A(a-GAL A) screening was performed from dried-blood spots using fluorometry.Molecular confirmation was performed using DNA sequencing of the GLA gene.A total of 142 male and female patients were included in this study.Ten patients(7.04%) exhibited a significant decrease in a-GAL A activity.There were no definitive pathogenic mutations observed in the molecular study.However,four patients revealed a novel nucleotide variant at c.l-10 C>T,which was identified as a benign variant following screening in the normal population.In conclusion,the a-GAL A assay utilizing dried-blood spots revealed a significant false positive rate.There was no definitive Fabry disease confirmed in Thai patients diagnosed with ESRD of unknown etiology.Objoon Trachoo Paisan Jittorntam Sarunpong Pibalyart Saowanee Kajanachumphol Norasak Suvachittanont Suthep Patputthipong Piyatida Chuengsaman Arkom Nongnuch 2017The Journal of Biomedical Research2017,31,1:1

18Biochar derived from agricultural wastes and wood residues for sustainable agricultural and environmental applications显示文摘Lignocellulosic biomass can be circulated to produce many materials and products,including biochar.This study analyzed five different types of biochar produced from agricultural wastes and wood residues.The raw materials included three agricultural by-products:corncob,cassava rhizome,rice husk,and two types of wood residues:rain tree(Samanea saman(Jacq.)Merr.)and krachid(Streblus ilicifolius(Vidal)Corner.).The biochar were made in patented retorts with locally-appropriated technology at a temper-ature range of 450e500C.This research focuses on the primary physicochemical properties and biochar components,allowing biochar to become a vital material to support sustainable agriculture and the environment.Biochar properties used for agriculture consist of specific surface area,total pore volume,average pore diameter,pH,electrical conductivity(EC),and cation exchange capacity(CEC).The prop-erties that benefit the environmental purposes are the element:carbon(C),hydrogen(H),nitrogen(N),oxygen(O),and the molar ratio of H/C,O/C,and C/N.The study found that all five types of biochar contained suitable properties for soil amendment and carbon sequestration.However,significant dif-ferences were shown in specific surface area,average pore diameter,pH,CEC,and EC of various biochar.Based on O/C and H/C ratios,all five types of biochar persisted in soil from 100 to over 1,000 years.Saowanee Wijitkosum 2022International Soil and Water Conservation Research2022,10,2:1
