3Expressions of Nucleoside Diphosphate Kinase (nm23) in Tumor Tissues are Related with Metastasis and Length of Survival of Patients with Hepatocellular Carcinoma显示文摘Objective To evaluate the relationship of expressions of nucleoside diphosphate kinase (nm23) and proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA), as well as apoptosis, with the prognosis of HCC patients by analyzing their pathological and clinical data. Methods The expressions of nm23 and PCNA were analyzed by immunohistochemistry and the apoptotic phenomena were detected by TUNEL technique in the liver samples from 43 HCC tissues, 39 para-neoplastic tissues, and 10 normal tissues. The mean apoptosis index (AI) and proliferative index (PI) in individual sample were calculated. Results As shown by the detection, 32.6% of carcinomas had negative nm23 signal in tumor tissues, whereas all para-neoplastic and normal tissues had positive nm23. The AI in nm23 positive HCC was significantly higher than that in nm23 negative one, with statistical difference (P<0.05). Furthermore, the expressions of nm23, and the values of AI and PI were contrastively analyzed with some main pathological and clinical data of HCC. It revealed that HCC with extrahepatic metastasis showed remarkable correlation with the negative nm23 (P=0.013) and higher PI values of HCC (P=0.015). The disease-free survival in HCC patients with negative nm23 expression was significantly poorer than that in patients with positive nm23 expression. 5Rapid Determination of Silicon Content in Rice显示文摘A method for rapid determination of silicon content in rice was introduced. The reliability of this method was verified byusing a recombinant inbred line (RIL) population of rice cross Zhenshan 97B / Milyang 46. Two hundred and forty-nine RILs weretransplanted in two replications. Simple correlation coefficients on the silicon content in the hull, flag leaf and stem in rice betweenduplicate samples of 498 rice materials were 0.97954, 0.97026 and 0.98848, respectively. Ten representative samples wereselected for measurement using the high-temperature alkaline fusion method. 9A Preliminary Urinary Metabolomics Study of Sprague-Dawley Rats after Short‑term Ketamine Administration by Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy显示文摘Drug abuse has become a global problem.The mass spectrometry‑based metabolic consequences of ketamine administration in anesthesia and therapy have been well studied,but to the best of our knowledge,metabolomic studies of ketamine abuse based on nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)spectroscopy are still lacking.In this study,twenty Sprague–Dawley rats were randomly assigned into two groups:a control group(n=10)and a ketamine group(n=10).The animals in the ketamine group received intraperitoneal injections of ketamine twice daily at 12‑h intervals at progressively increasing doses over a period of 9 days,while the control group received an equal volume of saline.The urine samples were collected for 24 h at days 0,1,3,5,7,and 9 for the metabolomics study.The metabolic changes in urine after short‑term ketamine administration were analyzed by proton NMR coupled with multivariate statistical analysis.The results indicated that short‑term ketamine exposure led to significant alterations of the metabolites in the urine of the rats.Specifically,1,3,7‑trimethyluric acid,1,3‑dimethyluric acid,acetoacetic acid,acetylglycine,creatine,sarcosine,dimethylglycine,glycine,and theobromine were significantly increased in the urine.Significant changes were also found in metabolites related to antioxidant and energy metabolism,including acetoacetic acid,succinate,1,3,7‑trimethyluric acid,1,3‑dimethyluric acid,creatine,and taurine.Our findings indicated that short‑term ketamine administration leads to disorder of energy metabolism and oxidative stress.In addition,the modified metabolites identified could serve as the new biological markers and potential biological indices reflecting the underlying mechanism of ketamine abuse.Xiang Lu Qunxing Tang Yi Ye Run Guo Fan Chen Xinhua Dai Youyi Yan Linchuan Liao 2016Journal of Forensic Science and Medicine2016,2,2:1

14Yiqi Qingre Xiaozheng formula protects against diabetic nephropathy by restoring autophagy in mice显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the protective effect of Yiqi Qingre Xiaozheng formula(YQQRXZF)via the regulation of autophagy in diabetic nephropathy(DN)mice induced by injection of streptozotocin(STZ)after high fat diet(HFD).Methods:The composition of YQQRXZF was analyzed by high performance liquid chromatographyelectrospray ionization/mass spectrometry(HPLC-ESI/MSn).The DN model was induced by intraperitoneally injection of 50 mg/kg STZ within 5 days,followed by HFD feeding for 8 weeks in C57BL/6J mice.Mice were randomly separated into DN group,YQQRXZF group,irbesartan group,and control group.Blood glucose was calculated,and body weight was measured every 2 weeks.An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to measure the urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio(uACR)before and after treatment,and the serum concentrations of total cholesterol(TC),low-density lipoprotein(LDL),triglycerides(TG),high-density lipoprotein(HDL),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),and serum creatinine(Scr)were measured.In addition,hematoxylin-eosin(H&E)staining,periodic acid-Schiff(PAS)staining,Masson's trichrome staining,and transmission electron microscopy(TEM)were used to observe pathological changes in renal tissue.Autophagy levels were determined by immunofluorescence staining.Results:In this study,21 dominant chemical constituents were identified in YQQRXZF.The treatment group reduced u ACR in a more significant way than the DN group(P=.018).The treatment group reduced TC,TG,and LDL concentrations after YQQRXFF treatment(P=.021,P=.014 and P=.026,respectively).H&E,PAS,and Masson staining showed that pathological damage to mice kidneys improved,the volume of renal glomeruli was reduced,and glomerular sclerosis and fibrosis were reduced.Immunofluorescence analysis revealed that expressions of LC3-Ⅱprotein increased in the treatment group(P=.013).In contrast,the protein expressions of P62 were reduced after treatment(P=.025).Na Sun Nan Yang Jingwei Zhou Ying He Jian Wang Yingnan Liang Run Dai Jiajia Bai Zhenjie Chen 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2023,10,3:0
15Mn-doping induced electronic modulation and rich oxygen vacancies on vertically grown NiFe2O4 nanosheet array for synergistically triggering oxygen evolution reaction显示文摘Large-scale electrolysis of water to produce high-purity hydrogen is one of the effective ways to solve the energy crisis and environmental pollution problems.However,efficient,cheap and stable catalysts are one of the bottlenecks for industrial application in water splitting.Herein,a facile one-step hydrothermal process was applied to fabricate Mn-doped nickel ferrite nanosheets(Mn-NiFe_(2)O_(4))which shown a low overpotential of 200 mV at 50 mA·cm^(-2)and a small Tafel slope of 47 mV·dec^(-1),together with a prominent turnover frequency(TOF)value(0.14 s^(-1))and robust stability.The in-situ UV-vis spectroscopy unveiled the surface reconstruction to generate NiOOH as active sites during oxygen evolution reaction(OER).The excellent electrocatalytic activity of Mn-NiFe_(2)O_(4)is attributed to the vertically grown nanosheets for exposure more active sites,rich oxygen vacancies,and the hybridization between Ni 3d and O 2p orbitals caused by Mn doping.This work should provide a facile strategy by Mn-doping to simultaneously engineer oxygen vacancies and electronic structure for synergistically triggering oxygen evolution reaction.Yonghao Gan Meilin Cui Xiaoping Dai Ying Ye Fei Nie Ziteng Ren Xueli Yin Baoqiang Wu Yihua Cao Run Cai Xin Zhang 2022Nano Research2022,15,5:0
