2Electrostatic Actuating Bendable Flat Electrode for Micro Electrochemical Machining显示文摘In micro-electrochemical machining(μECM), material dissolution takes place at very close vicinity of tool electrode due to localization of electric field. Controlling the gap between tool electrode and workpiece is the key to μECM. Therefore, a new method is proposed to solve a variety of problems in small gap control. In the present context, experiments were carried out with an indigenously developed setup to fabricate cylindrical arrays. During the machining process, the flat electrode bends due to electrostatic force in pulse on-time, which self-adaptively narrows the gap between the electrode and the workpiece. The workpiece material will be removed once the gap meets the processing condition. Therefore, this method has advantages of reducing dependence on high precision machine tools and of avoiding complex servo control. The flat electrode quickly restores to its original condition when it is in pulse off-time, making the gap much larger than that in traditional electrochemical machining(ECM). The large gap benefits debris removing, which improves the machining accuracy. The influence of different experimental parameters on accuracy and efficiency during the machining process has been investigated. It is observed that with the increase in applied voltage or concentration of electrolyte, the material removal rate and the process gap both increase. 4A long-life and safe lithiated graphite-selenium cell with competitive gravimetric and volumetric energy densities显示文摘Lithium-selenium(Li-Se) battery is a promising system with high theoretical gravimetric and volumetric energy densities, while its long-term cyclability is hard to realize, especially when a practical Se cathode with high Se content, high Se loading, and high density is employed. The main obstacles are the sluggish conversion kinetics of the dense Se cathodes and the continuous deterioration of the Li-metal anodes.Here, by introducing an acetonitrile(AN)-based electrolyte and replacing the Li electrode with a lithiated graphite, we successfully build a hybrid conversion-intercalation system using a high-content(80 wt%),decent-loading(3.0 mg cm^(-2)), and low-porosity(44%) Se cathode. The as-designed lithiated graphite||Se(LG||Se) cell demonstrated a high Se utilization(97.4%), a long cycle life(3000 cycles), and an ultrahigh average Coulombic efficiency(99.98%). The cell also works well under lean-electrolyte(2 l L mg^(-1)) condition and shows outstanding safety performance in the nail-penetrating test. The combination affords the competitive comprehensive performances, including high volumetric and gravimetric energy densities, long cycling life, and superb safety of the LG||Se cell. 6Drought Tolerance Identification and Eevluation of Maize during Flowering Stage in Guangxi显示文摘Total 20 maize varieties were subjected to drought stress at flowering stage,and then the relative water content,soluble sugar content,chlorophyll content,malondialdehyde( MDA) content and superoxide dismutase( SOD) activity in their leaves,as well as their yields were determined. The drought tolerance of the physiological and biochemical indexes was scored by five-level scoring method,and the drought tolerance index was calculated by the yield index to comprehensively evaluate the drought tolerance of maize during flowering stage. The results showed that the scores of drought tolerance of the maize varieties ranged from 1. 929 3 to 5. 659 5. Among them,the scores of Zhengda 619,Guidan 162 and Guidan 0810 were greater than 5. 0,followed by Dika 008,Xianyu 30 T60,Xianzhengda 901,Qingnong 68,South America No. 1 and Wanchuan 1306 of which the scores were in the range of 4. 0-5. 0. The drought tolerance indexes were in the range of 0. 410 4-1. 096 3. Among the test maize varieties,the drought tolerance indexes of Guidan 0810,Pacific 99 and Zhengda 619 were greater than 1. 0,and those of Xianyu 30 T60,Dika 008 and South America No. 1 were in the range of 0. 9-1. 0. The correlation between the two kinds of evaluation results was 0. 588 7 and was extremely significant. The five-level scoring method and the drought tolerance index can be used simultaneously for the evaluation of drought tolerance of maize during flowering stage. 7Effect of Foliar Application of Selenium Fertilizer on Yield,Selenium Content and Heavy Metal Contents of Waxy Maize显示文摘[Objectives]This study aimed to explore the effect of different concentrations of selenium fertilizer on the yield,selenium content and heavy metal contents of waxy maize,thereby providing reference for the scientific application of selenium fertilizer on waxy maize.[Methods]Different varieties of waxy maize(Guitiannuo 611,Guinuo 615 and Guiheinuo 609)were used as test materials.They were sprayed with different concentrations(0,0.5,1.0,1.5 and 2.0 g/L)of water-soluble selenium fertilizer(Xinxibao)at the big flare stage,and the effect on the yield,selenium content and heavy metal contents of the waxy maize was analyzed.[Results]Foliar application of different concentrations of selenium fertilizer showed no significant effect on the yield and yield components of waxy maize.As the concentration of selenium fertilizer increased,the grain selenium content of different varieties of waxy maize increased.Among them,the increase of Guinuo 615 was the largest,of which the selenium content reached 0.265 mg/kg,2.82 times that of the control(water).The cadmium and arsenic contents of different varieties of waxy maize decreased with the increase of the concentration of selenium fertilizer sprayed.Among the waxy maize varieties,the cadmium and arsenic contents of Guitiannuo 611 dropped the most significantly,up to 52.94%and 77.78%.In waxy maize,the correlation coefficients between selenium content and cadmium,arsenic contents were-0.5509(P<0.05)and-0.8530(P<0.01),respectively.[Conclusions]Spraying exogenous selenium fertilizer had no obvious effect on the yield of waxy maize.However,the increase of the concentration of exogenous selenium fertilizer could significantly increase the selenium content and reduce the cadmium and arsenic contents in grains of different varieties of waxy maize.Chenglin ZOU Ruining ZHAI Kaijian HUANG Hua TAN Debo ZHENG Aihua HUANG Xinxing WEI Runxiu MO Faqian XIONG Hui WEI Shanzhu WEI 2020Asian Agricultural Research2020,12,8:0
8Comprehensive Evaluation of New Maize Varieties for Grain and Fodder Based on Membership Function Method显示文摘To screen new maize(Zea mays L.)varieties suitable for food and fodder dual-purpose in Du'an Yao Autonomous County of Guangxi,the agronomic characters,yield and quality indexes of 12 new maize varieties were measured,and the correlation between various indexes were analyzed,and the comprehensive performance of tested varieties was evaluated by membership function method.The results showed that Guidan 671 had the highest grain yield and whole-plant biomass at 10908 and 49965 kg/hm^(2),respectively,and the second was Zhaoyu 215 with a grain yield and whole-plant biomass of 10086 and 47175 kg/hm^(2),respectively.Grain yield was highly significantly positively correlated with ear diameter and 100-grain weight(P<0.01),and significantly correlated with whole-plant biomass,starch content,ear length and grain number per row(P<0.05);and the whole-plant biomass was highly significantly correlated with the number of grains per row(P<0.01),and significantly correlated with starch content,panicle length,plant height and panicle height(P<0.05).The comprehensive performance scores of the tested varieties from high to low were Guidan 671,Zhaoyu 215,Guidan 669,Guidan 6208,Guidan 666,Guidan 6205,Guidan 660,Guidan 6203,Guidan 6206,Guidan 162,Guidan 668 and Guidan 673.According to the values of membership function and combined with various indexes,Guidan 671 and Zhaoyu 215 had good comprehensive performance,and could be used as the first choice for food and fodder dual-purpose maize varieties in Du'an Yao Autonomous County.Chenglin ZOU Qiongxiang LIN Kaijian HUANG Ruining ZHAI Meng YANG Aihua HUANG Runxiu MO Xinxing WEI Yanfen HUANG 2023Agricultural Biotechnology2023,12,2:0
9Effect of Drought Stress on Proteome of Maize Grain during Grain Filling显示文摘Based on isobaric tags for relative and absolute quantification(iTRAQ)technology,the proteome of grains of a maize cultivar Huangzao 4 under drought stress at grain filling stage was analyzed.The results show that under drought stress,438 proteins were differentially expressed in the maize grains during grain filling.Among them,200 were up-regulated and 238 were down-regulated.The gene ontology(GO)analysis shows that the biological processes in which differential proteins are more involved are cellular processes,metabolic processes and single biological processes;proteins in the cell component category are mainly distributed in cells,cell parts and organelles;and the proteins the molecular function category mainly possess catalytic activity and binding function.Differentially expressed proteins classified by COG are mainly involved in protein post-translational modification and transport,molecular chaperones,general functional genes,translation,ribosomal structure,biosynthesis,energy production and transformation,carbohydrate transport and metabolism,amino acid transport and metabolism,etc.The subcellular structure of the differentially expressed proteins is mainly located in the cell chloroplast and cytosol.The proportions are 35.01%and 30.21%respectively.KEGG metabolic pathway enrichment analysis shows that the differentially expressed proteins are mostly involved in antibiotic biosynthesis,microbial metabolism in different environments,and endoplasmic reticulum protein processing;the metabolic pathways with higher enrichment are the carbon fixation pathway and estrogen signaling pathway of prokaryotes;and the higher enrichment and greater significance are in the tricarboxylic acid cycle,carbon fixation of photosynthetic organisms and proteasome.The results of this study preliminarily reveal the adaptive mechanism of maize grains in response to drought stress during grain filling,providing a theoretical reference for maize drought-resistant molecular breeding.Chenglin ZOU Debo ZHENG Hua TAN Kaijian HUANG Aihua HUANG Xinxing WEI Runxiu MO Ruining ZHAI 2021Asian Agricultural Research2021,13,1:0
10Esterification of acetic acid with isobutanol catalyzed by ionic liquid n-sulfopropyl-3-methylpyridinium trifluoromethanesulfonate:Experimental and kinetic study显示文摘As an important organic,isobutyl acetate(IbAc)has been widely used in industries because of its good biodegradability,low surface tension,and other properties.The industrial production of IbAc is usually catalyzed by sulfuric acid.However,the use of sulfuric acid has the drawbacks of causing considerable corrosion to equipment and being difficult to be separated.In this work,n-sulfopropyl-3-methylpyridinium trifluoromethanesulfonate([HSO_(3)-PMPY][CF_(3)SO_(3)])Bronsted acidic ionic liquid(BAIL)was used as the catalyst and the catalytic activity,solubility,and corrosiveness were evaluated for the esterification of acetic acid with isobutanol.The reaction kinetics and chemical equilibrium were systemically studied.Compared to conventional acid catalysts,[HSO_(3)-PMPY][CF_(3)SO_(3)]showed higher catalytic activity,more excellent reusability,more favorable phase separation,and non-corrosiveness.Three kinetic equations based on ideal homogeneous(IH),non-ideal homogeneous(NIH),and modified nonideal homogeneous(NIH-M)models were established and correlated with the experimental data to determine the parameters and errors.The NIH-M model exhibited the best agreement with the experimental data,owing to its prediction considering the non-ideality and the self-catalysis effect of acetic acid in this system.Besides,the error of NIH-M model fitting was mainly caused by the difference in solubility between[HSO_(3)-PMPY][CF_(3)SO_(3)]with reactants and products in the reaction system.Furthermore,the applicability of the NIH-M model was investigated by simulating the esterification of acetic acid with three short-chain alcohols(ethanol,n-butanol,and isobutanol)catalyzed by BAILs.The NIH-M model displayed an acceptable simulation for this type of acetic acid esterification reaction catalyzed by BAILs at different ranges of the BAILs concentration and temperature.This study confirmed the industrial prospects of[HSO_(3)-PMPY][CF_(3)SO_(3)]in isobutyl acetate production and the applicability of the NIH-M kinetic model in the esterification of acetic acid.Meng Shi Kelei Huang Ruining He Yinghua Jiang Yun Zou Jing Xu Zhangfa Tong 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,63,11:0
11Demystifying the Salt‑Induced Li Loss:A Universal Procedure for the Electrolyte Design of Lithium‑Metal Batteries显示文摘Lithium(Li)metal electrodes show significantly different reversibility in the electrolytes with different salts.However,the understanding on how the salts impact on the Li loss remains unclear.Herein,using the electrolytes with different salts(e.g.,lithium hexafluorophosphate(LiPF_(6)),lithium difluoro(oxalato)borate(LiDFOB),and lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)amide(LiFSI))as examples,we decouple the irreversible Li loss(SEI Li^(+)and“dead”Li)during cycling.It is found that the accumulation of both SEI Li^(+)and“dead”Li may be responsible to the irreversible Li loss for the Li metal in the electrolyte with LiPF_(6)salt.While for the electrolytes with LiDFOB and LiFSI salts,the accumulation of“dead”Li predominates the Li loss.We also demonstrate that lithium nitrate and fluoroethylene carbonate additives could,respectively,function as the“dead”Li and SEI Li^(+)inhibitors.Inspired by the above understandings,we propose a universal procedure for the electrolyte design of Li metal batteries(LMBs):(i)decouple and find the main reason for the irreversible Li loss;(ii)add the corresponding electrolyte additive.With such a Li-loss-targeted strategy,the Li reversibility was significantly enhanced in the electrolytes with 1,2-dimethoxyethane,triethyl phosphate,and tetrahydrofuran solvents.Our strategy may broaden the scope of electrolyte design toward practical LMBs.Zhenglu Zhu Xiaohui Li Xiaoqun Qi Jie Ji Yongsheng Ji Ruining Jiang Chaofan Liang Dan Yang Ze Yang Long Qie Yunhui Huang 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,12:0
12Clinical features of 162 fatal cases of COVID-19:a multi-center retrospective study显示文摘Background:The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has affected approximately 2 million individuals worldwide;however,data regarding fatal cases have been limited.Objective:To report the clinical features of 162 fatal cases of COVID-19 from 5 hospitals in Wuhan between December 30,2019 and March 12,2020.Methods:The demographic data,signs and symptoms,clinical course,comorbidities,laboratory findings,computed tomographic(CT)scans,treatments,and complications of the patients with fatal cases were retrieved from electronic medical records.Results:The median patient age was 69.5(interquartile range:63.0–77.25)years,and 80%of the patients were over 61 years.A total of 112(69.1%)patients were men.Hypertension(45.1%)was the most common comorbidity,while 59(36.4%)patients had no comorbidity.At admission,131(81.9%)patients had severe or critical COVID-19,whereas 39(18.1%)patients with hypertension or chronic lung disease had moderate COVID-19.In total,126(77.8%)patients received antiviral treatment,while 132(81.5%)patients received glucocorticoid treatment.A total of 116(71.6%)patients were admitted to the intensive care unit(ICU),and 137(85.1%)patients received mechanical ventilation.Most patients received mechanical ventilation before ICU admission.Approximately 93.2%of the patients developed respiratory failure or acute respiratory distress syndrome.There were no significant differences in the inhospital survival time among the hospitals(P=0.14).Conclusion:Young patients with moderate COVID-19 without comorbidity at admission could also develop fatal outcomes.The in-hospital survival time of the fatal cases was similar among the hospitals of different levels in Wuhan.Xianlong Zhou Guoyong Ding Qing Fang Jun Guo Luyu Yang Ping Wang Shou-Zhi Fu Ang Li Jian Xia Jiangtao Yu Jianyou Xia Min Ma Zhuanzhuan Hu Lei Huang Ruining Liu Cheng Jiang Shaoping Li Mingxia Yu Xizhu Xu Yan Zhao Quan Hu Weijia Xing Zhigang Zhao 2022Emergency and Critical Care Medicine2022,2,3:0
