1A radiomic nomogram based on an apparent diffusion coefficient map for differential diagnosis of suspicious breast findings显示文摘Objective: To develop and validate a radiomic nomogram based on an apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC) map for differentiating benign and malignant lesions in suspicious breast findings classified as Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System(BI-RADS) category 4 on breast magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).Methods: Eighty-eight patients diagnosed with BI-RADS 4 findings on breast MRI in the First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University from December 2014 to December 2015 were retrospectively analyzed in this study. Sixty-three were randomized electronically to establish forecasting models, and the other 25 were used for validation. Radiomic features based on the ADC map were generated automatically by Artificial Intelligence Kit software(A.K. software; GE Healthcare, China). Feature reduction was conducted using the Mann-Whitney test and Spearman correlation after pre-treatment. A prediction model of ADC radiomics was established by logistic linear regression and cross-validation. A nomogram was established based on ADC radiomic features,pharmacokinetics and clinical features, including the morphology and ADC value for breast BI-RADS 4 lesions on MRI.Results: A total of 396 radiomic features were extracted automatically by the A.K. software. Five features were selected after pre-processing, Mann-Whitney tests and Spearman correlation analysis. The area under the ROC curve of the prediction model comprising ADC radiomic features was 0.79 when the cutoff value was 0.45, and the accuracy, sensitivity and specificity were 80.0%, 0.813 and 0.778, respectively. A visualized differential nomogram based on the radiomic score, pharmacokinetics and clinical features was established. The decision curve showed good consistency.Conclusions: ADC radiomic features could provide an important reference for differential diagnosis between benign and malignant lesions in suspicious BI-RADS 4 lesions. 2A multicenter hospital-based diagnosis study of automated breast ultrasound system in detecting breast cancer among Chinese women显示文摘Objective: The automated breast ultrasound system(ABUS) is a potential method for breast cancer detection;however, its diagnostic performance remains unclear. We conducted a hospital-based multicenter diagnostic study to evaluate the clinical performance of the ABUS for breast cancer detection by comparing it to handheld ultrasound(HHUS) and mammography(MG).Methods: Eligible participants underwent HHUS and ABUS testing; women aged 40–69 years additionally underwent MG. Images were interpreted using the Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System(BI-RADS).Women in the BI-RADS categories 1–2 were considered negative. Women classified as BI-RADS 3 underwent magnetic resonance imaging to distinguish true-and false-negative results. Core aspiration or surgical biopsy was performed in women classified as BI-RADS 4–5, followed by a pathological diagnosis. Kappa values and agreement rates were calculated between ABUS, HHUS and MG.Results: A total of 1,973 women were included in the final analysis. Of these, 1,353(68.6%) and 620(31.4%)were classified as BI-RADS categories 1–3 and 4–5, respectively. In the older age group, the agreement rate and Kappa value between the ABUS and HHUS were 94.0% and 0.860(P<0.001), respectively; they were 89.2% and0.735(P<0.001) between the ABUS and MG, respectively. Regarding consistency between imaging and pathology results, 78.6% of women classified as BI-RADS 4–5 based on the ABUS were diagnosed with precancerous lesions or cancer; which was 7.2% higher than that of women based on HHUS. For BI-RADS 1–2, the false-negative rates of the ABUS and HHUS were almost identical and were much lower than those of MG.Conclusions: We observed a good diagnostic reliability for the ABUS. 3Cancer situation in China:what does the China cancer map indicate fromthe first national death survey to the latest cancer registration?显示文摘Background:Over the past four decades,the Chinese government has conducted three surveys on the distribution of causes of death and built cancer registration.In order to shine a new light on better cancer prevention strategies in China,we evaluated the profile of cancer mortality over the forty years and analyzed the policies that have been implemented.Methods:We described spatial and temporal changes in both cancer mortality and the ranking of major cancer types in China based on the data collected from three national surveys during 1973-1975,1990-1992,2004-2005,and the latest cancer registration data published by National Central Cancer Registry of China.The mortality data were compared after conversion to age-standardized mortality rates based on the world standard population(Segi’s population).The geographical distribution characteristics were explored by marking hot spots of different cancers on the map of China.Results:From 1973 to 2016,China witnessed an evident decrease in mortality rate of stomach,esophageal,and cervical cancer,while a gradual increase was recorded in lung,colorectal,and female breast cancer.A slight decrease of mortality rate has been observed in liver cancer since 2004.Lung and liver cancer,however,have become the top two leading causes of cancer death for the last twenty years.From the three national surveys,similar profiles of leading causes of cancer death were observed among both urban and rural areas.Lowermortality rates from esophageal and stomach cancer,however,have been demonstrated in urban than in rural areas.Rural areas had similar mortality rates of the five leading causes of cancer death with the small urban areas in 1973-1975.Additionally,rural areas in 2016 also had approximate mortality rates of the five leading causes with urban areas in 2004-2005.Moreover,stomach,esophageal,and liver cancer showed specific geographical distributions.Althoughmortality rates have decreased atmost of the hotspots of these cancers,they were still higher than the national average levels during the same time periods.Conclusions:Building up a strong primary public health system especially among rural areas may be one critical step to reduce cancer burden in China.Ruimei Feng Qingling Su Xiaoyin Huang Til Basnet Xin Xu Weimin Ye 2023Cancer Communications2023,43,1:10
4Application of approximate entropy on dynamic characteristics of epileptic absence seizure显示文摘Electroencephalogram signals are time-varying complex electrophysiological signals. Existing studies show that approximate entropy, which is a nonlinear dynamics index, is not an ideal method for electroencephalogram analysis. Clinical electroencephalogram measurements usually contain electrical interference signals, creating additional challenges in terms of maintaining robustness of the analytic methods. There is an urgent need for a novel method of nonlinear dynamical analysis of the electroencephalogram that can characterize seizure-related changes in cerebral dynamics. The aim of this paper was to study the fluctuations of approximate entropy in preictal, ictal, and postictal electroencephalogram signals from a patient with absence seizures, and to improve the algorithm used to calculate the approximate entropy. The approximate entropy algorithm, especially our modified version, could accurately describe the dynamical changes of the brain during absence seizures. We could also demonstrate that the complexity of the brain was greater in the normal state than in the ictal state. 6Approximate entropy and support vector machines for electroencephalogram signal classification显示文摘The automatic detection and identification of electroencephalogram waves play an important role in the prediction, diagnosis and treatment of epileptic seizures. In this study, a nonlinear dynamics index-approximate entropy and a support vector machine that has strong generalization ability were applied to classify electroencephalogram signals at epileptic interictal and ictal periods. Our aim was to verify whether approximate entropy waves can be effectively applied to the automatic real-time detection of epilepsy in the electroencephalogram, and to explore its generalization ability as a classifier trained using a nonlinear dynamics index. Four patients presenting with partial epileptic seizures were included in this study. They were all diagnosed with neocortex localized epilepsy and epileptic foci were clearly observed by electroencephalogram. The electroencephalogram data form the four involved patients were segmented and the characteristic values of each segment, that is, the approximate entropy, were extracted. The support vector machine classifier was constructed with the approximate entropy extracted from one epileptic case, and then electroencephalogram waves of the other three cases were classified, reaching a 93.33% accuracy rate. Our findings suggest that the use of approximate entropy allows the automatic real-time detection of electroencephalogram data in epileptic cases. 7Nitrogen-doped carbon nanotube/polyaniline composite:Synthesis, characterization, and its application to the detection of dopamine显示文摘Nitrogen-doped carbon nanotubes (N-CNTs)/polyaniline (PANI) composites are developed as an electrode material for biosensors. The morphology, composition, and optical properties of the resulting products were characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and ultraviolet-visible absorption spectra (UV-vis). Furthermore, N-CNTs/PANI composite was immobilized on the surface of a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) and applied to construct a sensor. The obtained N-CNTs/PANI-modified GCE showed one pair of redox peaks and high catalytic activity for the oxidation of dopamine (DA) in a neutral environment. Differential pulse voltam-mograms results illustrate that the fabricated DA biosensor has high anti-interference ability towards ascorbic acid (AA). 8High-density SNP genetic linkage map construction and quantitative trait locus mapping for resistance to cucumber mosaic virus in tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum L.)显示文摘Genetic linkage maps are essential for studies of genetics, genomic structure, and genomic evolution, and for mapping quantitative trait loci (QTL). Identification of molecular markers and construction of genetic linkage maps in tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum L.), a classical model plant and important economic crop, have remained limited. In the present study we identified a large number of single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers and constructed a high-density SNP genetic map for tobacco using restriction site-associated DNA sequencing. In 1216.30 Gb of clean sequence obtained using the Illumina HiSeq 2000 sequencing platform, 99,647,735 SNPs were identified that differed between 203 sequenced plant genomes and the tobacco reference genome. Finally, 13,273 SNP markers were mapped on 24 high-density tobacco genetic linkage groups. The entire linkage map spanned 3421.80 cM, with a mean distance of 0.26 cM between adjacent markers. Compared with genetic linkage maps published previously, this version represents a considerable improvement in the number and density of markers. Seven QTL for resistance to cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) in tobacco were mapped to groups 5 and 8. 9NiCoLDH nanosheets grown on MOF-derived Co_(3)O_(4) triangle nanosheet arrays for high-performance supercapacitor显示文摘Hierarchical Co_(3)O_(4)@NiCoLDH nanosheets(NSs)were prepared on carbon cloth through a multistep method,containing Metal-organic frameworks(MOF)-templated thermal annealing and electrodeposition.The triangle-shaped Co_(3)O_(4 NSs)were firstly obtained by thermal treatment of MOF templates in air.Then,ultrathin NiCoLDH_(NSs)were in-situ electrodeposited on the surface of Co_(3)O_(4NSs),constructing a core-shell structure.Benefiting the unique hierarchical structure,high conductivity of Co_(3)O_(4 NSs)core and large surface area of NiCoLDHNSs shell,the Co_(3)O_(4)@NiCoLDH_(NSs)array served as supercapacitor electrode exhibits excellent electrochemical properties,such as high specific capacitance of 1708 F g^(-1)(850 C g^(-1))at a current density of 1 A g^(-1),good rate capability,and excellent cycling stability.Further,the asymmetric supercapacitor assembled by Co_(3)O_(4)@NiCoLDH_(NSs)and activated carbon,also displays superior electrochemical perfo rmance with high energy density and power density.Remarkably,the strategy of constructing core-shell structure based on MOF templates could be extended to other electrochemical fields.Xuemin Yin Hejun Li Ruimei Yuan Jinhua Lu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,3:2
10Theories and calculation methods for regional objective ET(evapotranspiration):Applications显示文摘The regional objective ET(evapotranspiration) is defined as the quantity of water that could be con-sumed in a particular region.It varies with the water conditions and economic development stages in the region.It is also constrained by the requirement of benign environment cycle.At the same time,it must meet the demands of sustainable economic growth and the construction of harmony society.Objective ET based water resources distribution will replace the conventional method,which empha-sizes the balance between the water demand and the water supply.It puts focus on the reasonable water consumption instead of the forecasted water demand,which is usually greater than the actual one.In this paper,we calculated the objective ET of 2010 year level in Tianjin by an analysis-integra-tion-assessment method.Objective ET can be classified into two parts:controllable ET and uncontrol-lable ET.Controllable ET includes the ET from irrigation land and the ET from resident land,among which the former can be calculated with soil moisture model and evapotranspiration model,while the latter can be calculated by water use ration and water consumption rate.The uncontrollable ET can be calculated with the distributed hydrological model and the remote sensing monitoring model.The two models can be mutually calibrated.In this paper,eight schemes are put forward based on different portfolios of water resources.The objective ET of each scheme was calculated and the results were assessed and analyzed.Finally,an optimal scheme was recommended.LIU JiaHong QIN DaYong WANG MingNa LüJinYan SANG XueFeng ZHANG RuiMei 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,5:2

17Modeling spatial and temporal change of soil erosion based on multi-temporal remotely sensed data显示文摘In order to monitor the pattern, distribution, and trend of land use/cover change(LUCC) and its impacts on soil erosion, it is highly appropriate to adopt Remote Sensing(RS) data and Geographic Information System(GIS) to analyze, assess, simulate, and predict the spatial and temporal evolution dynamics. In this paper, multi-temporal Landsat TM/ETM+ remotely sensed data are used to generate land cover maps by image classification, and the Cellular Automata Markov(CA_Markov) model is employed to simulate the evolution and trend of landscape pattern change. Furthermore, the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation(RUSLE) is used to evaluate the situation of soil erosion in the case study mining area. The trend of soil erosion is analyzed according to total/average amount of soil erosion, and the rainfall(R), cover management(C), and support practice(P) factors in RUSLE relevant to soil erosion are determined. The change trends of soil erosion and the relationship between land cover types and soil erosion amount are analyzed. The results demonstrate that the CA_Markov model is suitable to simulate and predict LUCC trends with good efficiency and accuracy, and RUSLE can calculate the total soil erosion effectively.
