Numerical simulation of particle flow behavior in a screw conveyor using the discrete element method显示文摘Particle motion in a screw conveyor was simulated w让h the discrete element method. The particle flow behavior and transport processes at different screw rotating speeds and filling levels were investigated in this study. The spatial distributions of particle velocity were predicted. The predicted mass flow rate increased w让h increasing screw rotating speed and filling level. The contact forces and granular temperatures of particles were also calculated. The simulation results showed that the translational granular particle temperatures were higher than the rotational granular particle temperatures. In add让ion, the configurational temperatures of particles were calculated from simulated instantaneous particle overlaps, and results indicated that deformation of elastic particles contributed to the rate of energy dissipation. Good agreement between the numerical simulation and experimental results was achieved in this study. | Shuyan Wang Haolong Li Ruichao Tian Ruichen Wang Xu Wang Qiji Sun jiawei Fan | 2019 | Particuology2019,17,2: | 7
Key technologies and practice for gas field storage facility construction of complex geological conditions in China显示文摘In view of complex geological characteristics and alternating loading conditions associated with cyclic large amount of gas injection and withdrawal in underground gas storage(UGS) of China, a series of key gas storage construction technologies were established, mainly including UGS site selection and evaluation, key index design, well drilling and completion, surface engineering and operational risk warning and assessment, etc. The effect of field application was discussed and summarized. Firstly, trap dynamic sealing capacity evaluation technology for conversion of UGS from the fault depleted or partially depleted gas reservoirs. A key index design method mainly based on the effective gas storage capacity design for water flooded heterogeneous gas reservoirs was proposed. To effectively guide the engineering construction of UGS, the safe well drilling, high quality cementing and high pressure and large flow surface injection and production engineering optimization suitable for long-term alternate loading condition and ultra-deep and ultra-low temperature formation were developed. The core surface equipment like high pressure gas injection compressor can be manufactured by our own. Last, the full-system operational risk warning and assessment technology for UGS was set up. The above 5 key technologies have been utilized in site selection, development scheme design, engineering construction and annual operations of 6 UGS groups, e.g. the Hutubi UGS in Xinjiang. To date, designed main indexes are highly consistent with actural performance, the 6 UGS groups have the load capacity of over 7.5 billion cubic meters of working gas volume and all the storage facilities have been running efficiently and safely. | MA Xinhua ZHENG Dewen SHEN Ruichen WANG Chunyan LUO Jinheng SUN Junchang | 2018 | Petroleum Exploration and Development2018,45,3: | 2
Grey Incidence Analysis Applied to Civil Aircraft Customization Process显示文摘The airlines need to select the optional equipment according to their individual development demands and the manufacture′s standard specification manual when purchasing a new airplane. For this customization process, the selection theory is mainly based on qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The grey incidence analysis(GIA)is used for modeling, which evaluates the correlations between optional equipment and airlines′individual demands.Meanwhile, the customization demands are quantitatively processed as different weights in evaluation index system with analytical hierarchy process. Then, the value of grey incidence degree is obtained which shows whether the optional equipment is on the purchasing list or not. Finally, two airlines′customization demands are applied in the example of aircraft cabin′s seats,so two different purchasing priorities and equipment installation lists can be obtained. The results and comparisons verify the reasonable of modeling, which provides an objective scheme of aircraft equipment selection. | Ding Songbin Ge Ruichen Wang Xiaoli | 2016 | Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2016,33,2: | 1
Conceptual rotational mode design for optical conical scanning imaging small satellites显示文摘This paper focuses upon the novel optical conical scanning imaging working mode design for small satellites. This kind of satellite employs only one inclined optical camera achieving wide-swath imaging via a rotational motion about the nadir axis either by the camera or by the satellite.Three working modes are designed,i.e.,high-speed rotational mode,low-speed rotational mode, and variable-speed rotational mode. For the high-speed and low-speed working modes, the camera rotates at a constant speed and the corresponding angular velocity is derived under the consideration of guaranteed coverage and minimized overlap. To improve the system performance,an enhanced working mode taking advantages of both the high-speed rotational mode and lowspeed rotational mode is proposed.Working in this variable-speed rotational mode, the camera rotates slowly to get high-quality pictures when it works, while it rotates rapidly to reduce the energy consumption and save the storage during which period the camera is turned off to minimize the overlap. All these working modes are illustrated in detail, and numerical simulation tests are conducted to validate their effectiveness. | WANG Feng XI RuiChen YUE ChengFei LI HuaYi CAO XiBin | 2020 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,8: | 1

Evaluation of power regeneration in primary suspension for a railway vehicle显示文摘To improve the fuel economy of rail vehicles, this study presents the feasibility of using power regenerating dampers(PRDs)in the primary suspension systems of railway vehicles and evaluates the potential and recoverable power that can be obtained.PRDs are configured as hydraulic electromagnetic-based railway primary vertical dampers and evaluated in parallel and series modes(with and without a viscous damper).Hydraulic configuration converts the linear behavior of the track into a unidirectional rotation of the generator, and the electromagnetic configuration provides a controllable damping force to the primary suspension system. In several case studies, generic railway vehicle primary suspension systems that are configured to include a PRD in the two configuration modes are modeled using computer simulations. The simulations are performed on measured tracks with typical irregularities for a generic UK passenger route. The performance of the modified vehicle is evaluated with respect to key performance indicators, including regenerated power, ride comfort, and running safety. Results indicate that PRDs can simultaneously replace conventional primary vertical dampers, regenerate power, and exhibit desirable dynamic performance.A peak power efficiency of 79.87%is theoretically obtained in series mode on a top-quality German Intercity Express track(Track 270)at a vehicle speed of 160 mile/h(~257 km/h). | Ruichen WANG Zhiwei WANG | 2020 | Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2020,15,2: | 1
Pharmacokinetics after single and multiple intravaginal application of clindamycin phosphate vaginal gel in Chinese female volunteers显示文摘Objective:To investigate the pharmacokinetics of clindamycin phosphate vaginal gel in healthy Chinese female volunteers. Methods:Ten healthy Chinese female volun- teers were intravaginally given with 5.0g of clindamycin phosphate vaginal gel (equivalent to 100mg of clindamycin) once for single dose treatment, and 5.0g,once a day for 3 days, for mul- tiple dose treatment. The serum concentration of clindamycin were determined by HPLC-MS method and its pharmacokinetic parameters of clindamycin were calculated by DAS 1.0 soft- ware. Results:The main pharmacokinetic parameters of clindamycin for single dose and multiple doses were as follows:t_(1/2) were (15.30±2.62) hours and (14.78±2.49) hours,Tmax were (4.88±0.94) hours and (4.70±0.59) hours,Cmax were (38.30±22.77) ng/ml and (44.87±26.71) ng/ml,AUC0_(-∞) were (783.45±351.19) ng·ml^(-1)·h^(-1) and (1015.68±456.95) ng·ml^(-1)·h^(-1),respectively.Conclusion:The Cmax of clindamycin phosphate vaginal gel after a single dose and multiple doses are obviously lower and t_(1,2) are longer than that of clindamycin phosphate oral preparations, which suggests that clindamycin phosphate vaginal gel acts locally and can be slowly absorbed to circulation for systemic actions. | Wang Benjie Li Yunxia Yuan Guiyan Bu Fanlong Guo Ruichen | 2007 | 现代妇产科进展2007,16,2: | 1
Caveolin-1-deficient fibroblasts promote migration, invasion, and stemness via activating the TGF-β/Smad signaling pathway in breast cancer cells显示文摘Cancer-associated fibroblasts(CAFs)represent one of the main components in the tumor stroma and play a key role in breast cancer progression.Transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β)has been established to mediate breast cancer metastasis by regulating the epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)and stemness of cancer cells.Caveolin-1(CAV-1)is a scaffold protein of caveolae that is related to the proliferation and metabolism of cancer cells. It is now well demonstrated that CAV-1 deficiency in the tumor stroma is positively correlated with distant metastasis, but the mechanism remains unclear. Here,we explore whether CAV-1-deficient fibroblasts play an essential role in the EMT and stemness of breast cancer cells(BCCs)through TGF-βsignaling.We establish a specific small interfering RNA(siRNA)to inhibit CAV-1 expression in fibroblasts and coculture them with BCCs to investigate the effect of CAV-1-deficient fibroblasts and the tumor microenvironment on breast cancer progression. This study refreshingly points out that CAV-1 deficiency in fibroblasts enhances TGF-β1 secretion and then activates the TGF-β1/Smad signaling pathway of BCCs,thus promoting the metastasis and stemness of BCCs.Collectively, our findings indicate an unexpected role of CAV-1 deficiency in fibroblasts and the tumor microenvironment as a permissive factor, which is regulated by the TGF-β1 signaling pathway in BCCs. | Qingyun Huang Longyuan Wu Yi Wang Xinyu Kong Xinhua Xiao Qiyuan Huang Miao Li Yujia Zhai Fuxiu Shi Ruichen Zhao Junpei Zhong Lixia Xiong | 2022 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2022,54,11: | 1

Crucial role of histone deacetylase SIRT1 in myeloid-derived suppressor cell-mediated reprogramming of CD4^(+) T-cell differentiation显示文摘Myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)are heterogeneous, immature myeloid cells that inhibit the immune responses of T cells.1–5 MDSCs play a crucial role in infection,6,7 transplantation,8,9 autoimmune diseases10,11,and tumors12,13 by driving the differentiation of specific T-cell subsets, but the precise regulatory mechanism is still unclear.Recently, our results showed that SIRT1,a histone deacetylase, suppresses the functions of proinflammatory MDSCs and promotes tumor growth.14 However,it remains unclear whether SIRT1 regulates the MDSC-induced differentiation of T cells. Here,we identified the regulatory effects of SIRT1 in CD11b+Gr1+MDSCs on T-cell differentiation. | Lin Dong Yujing Bi Anna Jia Qing Yu Yuexin Wang Yufei Wang Qiuli Yang Yejin Cao Ying He Ruichen Liu Yan Li Guangwei Liu | 2020 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,7: | 0
Reactive nano-essential oils for sustained release of essential oils and application to wallpaper显示文摘Essential oils are a volatile and aromatic substance with a variety of active biological activities. However, the excessive volatility and inconvenience of the use of essential oils limit their applications. In this study,we developed a reactive mesoporous silica nanoparticle(rMSNs)based on cyanuric chloride modification for essential oil encapsulation and commodity adhesion. The large pore volume and specific surface area of rMSNs facilitate the nanoparticles adhering to a large amount of essential oil and achieve the sustained release of essential oil, thus prolonging the fragrance retention time of essential oils. The reactive nanoessential oils can form covalent bonds with the wallpaper, thereby remarkably improving the adhesion of the reactive nano-essential oils on the wallpaper and preventing the reactive nano-essential oil from deadhering from the wallpaper. The active nano essential oil simultaneously overcomes the intense volatility of the essential oil and inconvenience in use,has a simple preparation process and low cost, and has great application potential. | Qiulian Hao Huan Peng Ruichen Zhao Jianze Wang Zhiguo Lu Jingwen Wang Jie Shen Yunwei Niu Zuobing Xiao Guiying Liu Jifu Hao Xin Zhang | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,1: | 0
Can urban forests provide acoustic refuges for birds?Investigating the influence of vegetation structure and anthropogenic noise on bird sound diversity显示文摘As a crucial component of terrestrial ecosystems, urban forests play a pivotal role in protecting urban biodiversity by providing suitable habitats for acoustic spaces.Previous studies note that vegetation structure is a key factor influencing bird sounds in urban forests;hence, adjusting the frequency composition may be a strategy for birds to avoid anthropogenic noise to mask their songs. However,it is unknown whether the response mechanisms of bird vocalizations to vegetation structure remain consistent despite being impacted by anthropogenic noise. It was hypothesized that anthropogenic noise in urban forests occupies the low-frequency space of bird songs, leading to a possible reshaping of the acoustic niches of forests, and the vegetation structure of urban forests is the critical factor that shapes the acoustic space for bird vocalization.Passive acoustic monitoring in various urban forests was used to monitor natural and anthropogenic noises, and sounds were classified into three acoustic scenes(bird sounds, human sounds, and bird-human sounds)to determine interconnections between bird sounds, anthropogenic noise, and vegetation structure.Anthropogenic noise altered the acoustic niche of urban forests by intruding into the low-frequency space used by birds, and vegetation structures related to volume(trunk volume and branch volume)and density(number of branches and leaf area index)significantly impact the diversity of bird sounds. Our findings indicate that the response to low and high frequency signals to vegetation structure is distinct.By clarifying this relationship, our results contribute to understanding of how vegetation structure influences bird sounds in urban forests impacted by anthropogenic noise. | Zezhou Hao Chengyun Zhang Le Li Bing Sun Shuixing Luo Juyang Liao Qingfei Wang Ruichen Wu Xinhui Xu Christopher A.Lepczyk Nancai Pei | 2024 | Journal of Forestry Research2024,35,2: | 0
Dietary supplemental coated essential oils and organic acids mixture improves growth performance and gut health along with reduces Salmonella load of broiler chickens infected with Salmonella Enteritidis显示文摘Background Reducing Salmonella infection in broiler chickens by using effective and safe alternatives to antibiotics is vital to provide safer poultry meat and minimize the emergence of drug-resistant Salmonella and the spread of salmonellosis to humans. This study was to first evaluate the protective efficacy of feeding coated essential oils and organic acids mixture(EOA)on broiler chickens infected with Salmonella Enteritidis(S.Enteritidis,SE),and then its action mechanism was further explored. Methods A total of 4801-day-old Arbor Acres male chickens were randomly assigned into five treatments with six replicates, including non-challenged control fed with basal diet(A),SE-challenged control(B),and SE-infected birds fed a basal diet with 300 mg/kg of EOA(BL),500 mg/kg of EOA(BM)and 800 mg/kg of EOA(BH),respectively. All birds on challenged groups were infected with Salmonella Enteritidis on d 13.Results Feeding EOA showed a reversed ability on negative effects caused by SE infection,as evidenced by decreasing the feed conversion rate(FCR)and the ratio of villus height to crypt depth(VH/CD)(P<0.05),obviously decreasing intestinal and internal organs Salmonella load along with increasing cecal butyric acid-producing bacteria abundance(P<0.05).Moreover,supplemental different levels of EOA notably up-regulated claudin-1(CLDN-1),occludin(OCLN),zonula occludens-1(ZO-1),mucin-2(MUC-2),fatty acid binding protein-2(FABP-2),nuclear factor kappa-light-chainenhancer of activated B cells(NF-κB),myeloid differential protein-88(MyD88)and interleukin-6(IL-6)mRNA levels in the ileum of the infected chickens after challenge, whereas down-regulated toll-like receptor-4(TLR-4)mRNA levels(P<0.05).Linear discriminant analysis combined effect size measurements analysis(LEfSe)showed that the relative abundance of g_Butyricicoccus,g_Anaerotruncus and g_unclassified_f_Bacillaceae significantly was enriched in infected birds given EOA.Also, phylogenetic investigation of communities by reconstruction of unobserved states(PICRUSt)analysis showed that alpha-linolenic acid metabolism, fatty acid metabolism and biosynthesis of unsaturated fatty acids were significantly enriched in the EOA group. Conclusion Our data suggest that the essential oils and organic acids mixture can be used as an effective strategy to ameliorate and alleviate Salmonella Enteritidis infection in broilers. | Zeqiong Hu Lin Liu Fangshen Guo Jia Huang Jianing Qiao Ruichen Bi Jinyu Huang Kaichen Zhang Yuming Guo Zhong Wang | 2023 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,6: | 0
Influence of Shear Effects on the Characteristics of Axisymmetric Wave Propagation in a Buried Fluid‑Filled Pipe显示文摘The acoustic propagation characteristics of axisymmetric waves have been widely used in leak detection of fluid-filled pipes. The related acoustic methods and equipment are gradually coming to the market, but their theoretical research obviously lags behind the field practice, which seriously restricts the breakthrough and innovation of this technology.Based on the fully three-dimensional effect of the surrounding medium,a coupled motion equation of axisymmetric wave of buried liquid-filled pipes is derived in detail,a contact coefficient is used to express the coupling strength between surrounding medium and pipe, then,a general equation of motion was derived which contain the pipe soil lubrication contact, pipe soil compact contact and pipe in water and air. Finally, the corresponding numerical calculation model is established and solved used numerical method. The shear effects of the surrounding medium and the shear effects at the interface between surrounding medium and pipe are discussed in detail. The output indicates that the surrounding medium is to add mass to the pipe wall, but the shear effect is to add stiffness. With the consideration of the contact strength between the pipe and the medium, the additional mass and the pipe wall will resonate at a specific frequency, resulting in a significant increase in the radiation wave to the surrounding medium. The research contents have great guiding effect on the theory of acoustic wave propagation and the engineering application of leak detection technology in the buried pipe. | Ping Lu Xiaozhen Sheng Yan Gao Ruichen Wang | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2022,35,3: | 0
A STIR nucleic acid drug delivery system for stirring phenotypic switch of microglia in Parkinson’s disease treatments显示文摘Neuroinflammation is one of the three important pathological features in neurodegenerative diseases including Parkinson’s disease(PD).The regulation of neuroinflammation can reduce the severity of neurological damage to alleviate diseases.Numerous studies have shown that the phenotype switch of microglia is tightly associated with the nuclear factorκB(NF-κB)-mediated inflammatory pathway. Therefore, the small interfering RNA(siRNA)therapy for downregulating the expression of NF-κB,provides a promising therapeutic strategy for Parkinson’s disease treatments.Considering the brain delivery challenges of siRNA,a sequential targeting inflammation regulation(STIR)delivery system based on poly(amino acid)s is developed to improve the therapeutic effects of Parkinson’s disease treatments. The STIR system sequentially targets the blood–brain barrier and the microglia to enhance the effective concentration of siRNA in the targeted microglia. The results demonstrate that the STIR nanoparticles can transform microglial phenotypes and regulate brain inflammation, thus achieving neuronal recovery and abnormal aggregation ofα-synuclein protein(α-syn)reduction in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease.Herein, this STIR delivery system provides a promising therapeutic platform in PD treatments and has great potential for other neurodegenerative diseases’therapies. | Yanyue Wu Wenli Wang Xinyu Qiu Zhiguo Lu Weihong Ji Jie Shen Huan Peng Ruichen Zhao Jingwen Wang Tianlu Zhang Jun Yang Xin Zhang | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,5: | 0
Flexible multichannel electrodes for acute recording in nonhuman primates显示文摘Flexible electrodes have demonstrated better biocompatibility than rigid electrodes in relieving tissue encapsulation and long-term recording.Nonhuman primates are closer to humans in their brains’structural and functional properties, thus making them more suitable than rodents as animal models for potential clinical usage. However, the application of flexible electrodes on nonhuman primates has rarely been reported. In the present study,a flexible multichannel electrode array for nonhuman primates was developed and implemented for extracellular recording in behaving monkeys. To minimize the window of durotomy for reducing possible risks,a guide-tube-compatible implantation solution was designed to deliver the flexible electrodes through the dura into the cortex. The proposed structure for inserting flexible electrodes was characterized ex vivo and validated in vivo.Furthermore, acute recording of multichannel flexible electrodes for the primates was performed. The results showed that the flexible electrodes and implantation method used in this study meet the needs of extracellular recording in nonhuman primates.Task-related neuronal activities with a high signal-to-noise ratio of spikes demonstrated that our whole device is currently a minimally invasive and clinically viable approach for extracellular recording. | Yang Wang Qifan Wang Ruichen Zheng Xinxiu Xu Xinze Yang Qiang Gui Xiaowei Yang Yijun Wang He Cui Weihua Pei | 2023 | Microsystems & Nanoengineering2023,9,4: | 0
