| 3 | Study and Application of Health Care Measure in Tunnel Construction of Qinghai-Tibet Railway显示文摘In this paper we studied a key control project in QinghaiTibet Railway construction. The project included the oxygen supplying system, the ventilation and air changing system measure of tunnel environment, monitoring and comprehensive treatment on airborne dust and toxic and harmful gases, hygiene intervention with builders in Fenghuoshan Tunnel construction. In the worst sector of the whole Qinghai-Tibet Railway line, we acquired a good achievement of the lowest incidence rate of altitude disease. Hence the Fenghuoshan Tunnel was joined up in advance, which set up a new record for frozen soil tunnel construction at high altitudes. | 5 | Surface modification of titanium implant for repairing/improving microenvironment of bone injury and promoting osseointegration显示文摘Bone injury and implantation operation are often accompanied by microenvironment damage of bone tis-sue,which seriously affects the process of osseointegration of implants,especially for titanium(Ti)-based bioinert materials.Thus,repairing or improving the microenvironment of damaged bone tissue is of great significance for bone rescue,reconstruction,and regeneration,which is still a major medical challenge.Oxidative stress(OS)and oxygen(O_(2))deficiency are considered to be specific physiological signals of the bone-injury microenvironment.From the above background,a coating consisting of manganese dioxide(MnO_(2))nanoenzyme and strontium(Sr)ions was fabricated on the surface of the Ti implant via a one-step hydrothermal treatment.MnO_(2) nanoenzyme presented in the coating alleviated OS and O_(2) deficiency at the injury site by catalyzing the decomposition of abundant endogenous H_(2)O_(2) around the modified Ti implants into O_(2).In addition,Sr ions were released from the surface of the implant at a certain rate in a body-fluid environment,further promoting the adhesion,growth,and osteogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells.More importantly,a Sprague Dawley rat femur model demonstrated that the modified Ti implant showed significant potential to accelerate bone tissue reconstruction in vivo.In sum-mary,the present system provides a new idea for the treatment of bone injury and the development of new orthopedic implants. | Yao Ding Bailong Tao Ruichen Ma Xin Zhao Peng Liu Kaiyong Cai | 2023 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,12: | 0 |

| 7 | Dietary supplemental coated essential oils and organic acids mixture improves growth performance and gut health along with reduces Salmonella load of broiler chickens infected with Salmonella Enteritidis显示文摘Background Reducing Salmonella infection in broiler chickens by using effective and safe alternatives to antibiotics is vital to provide safer poultry meat and minimize the emergence of drug-resistant Salmonella and the spread of salmonellosis to humans.This study was to first evaluate the protective efficacy of feeding coated essential oils and organic acids mixture(EOA)on broiler chickens infected with Salmonella Enteritidis(S.Enteritidis,SE),and then its action mechanism was further explored.Methods A total of 4801-day-old Arbor Acres male chickens were randomly assigned into five treatments with six replicates,including non-challenged control fed with basal diet(A),SE-challenged control(B),and SE-infected birds fed a basal diet with 300 mg/kg of EOA(BL),500 mg/kg of EOA(BM)and 800 mg/kg of EOA(BH),respectively.All birds on challenged groups were infected with Salmonella Enteritidis on d 13.Results Feeding EOA showed a reversed ability on negative effects caused by SE infection,as evidenced by decreasing the feed conversion rate(FCR)and the ratio of villus height to crypt depth(VH/CD)(P<0.05),obviously decreasing intestinal and internal organs Salmonella load along with increasing cecal butyric acid-producing bacteria abundance(P<0.05).Moreover,supplemental different levels of EOA notably up-regulated claudin-1(CLDN-1),occludin(OCLN),zonula occludens-1(ZO-1),mucin-2(MUC-2),fatty acid binding protein-2(FABP-2),nuclear factor kappa-light-chainenhancer of activated B cells(NF-κB),myeloid differential protein-88(MyD88)and interleukin-6(IL-6)mRNA levels in the ileum of the infected chickens after challenge,whereas down-regulated toll-like receptor-4(TLR-4)mRNA levels(P<0.05).Linear discriminant analysis combined effect size measurements analysis(LEfSe)showed that the relative abundance of g_Butyricicoccus,g_Anaerotruncus and g_unclassified_f_Bacillaceae significantly was enriched in infected birds given EOA.Also,phylogenetic investigation of communities by reconstruction of unobserved states(PICRUSt)analysis showed that alpha-linolenic acid metabolism,fatty acid metabolism and biosynthesis of unsaturated fatty acids were significantly enriched in the EOA group.Conclusion Our data suggest that the essential oils and organic acids mixture can be used as an effective strategy to ameliorate and alleviate Salmonella Enteritidis infection in broilers. | Zeqiong Hu Lin Liu Fangshen Guo Jia Huang Jianing Qiao Ruichen Bi Jinyu Huang Kaichen Zhang Yuming Guo Zhong Wang | 2023 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2023,14,6: | 0 |
| 8 | Vegetation Changes in Alberta Oil Sands,Canada,Based on Remotely Sensed Data from 1995 to 2020显示文摘There are rich oil and gas resources in Alberta oil sand mining area in Canada.Since the 1960s,the Canadian government decided to increase the mining intensity.However,the exploitation will bring many adverse effects.In recent years,more people pay attention to the environmental protection and ecological restoration of mining area,such as issues related with changes of vegetated lands.Thus,the authors used the Landsat-5 TM and Landsat-8 OLI remote sensing images as the basic data sources,and obtained the land cover classification maps from 1995 to 2020 by ENVI.Based on the NDVI,NDMI and RVI,three images in each period are processed and output to explore the long-term impact of exploitation.The results show that from 1995 to 2020,the proportion of vegetation around mining areas decreased sharply,the scale of construction land in the mining area increased,and the vegetated land was changed to land types such as tailings pond,oil sand mine and other land types.In addition,three vegetation indexes decreased from 1995 to 2020.Although the exploitation of oil sand mining area brings great economic benefits,the environmental protection(especially vegetation)in oil sand mining areas should be paid more attention. | Jinxin He Debo Chen Ye Zhan Chao Liu Ruichen Liu | 2022 | Journal of Environmental & Earth Sciences2022,4,2: | 0 |
