1Distribution characteristic and geological signiflcance of rare earth elements in Lopingian mudstone of Permian,Panxian county,Guizhou province显示文摘In order to discuss the geochemical characteristic of REEs(rare earth elements) and their geological application,we measured the contents of rare earth elements,trace elements and minerals of 29 Lopingian(Late Permian) mudstone samples in Panxian county,carrying out ICP-MS and XRD analysis.The results show that the amount of REEs(185.56-729.46 10à6) is high.The ratios of w(LREE)/w(HREE)(6.84-13.86) and w(La)N/w(Yb)N(1.01-3.02) show clear differentiation of LREEs and HREEs.RREE has a significantly or critically positive correlation with lithophile elements Th,Nb,Ta,Ti,Ga,Sc,Cs,Zr,Hf,Sr,Be and chalcophile element Zn,a critically negative correlation with siderophile element Fe and a slightly positive correlation with illite,illite smectite mixed layers and siderite.REEs originate mainly from terrigenous minerals,in an inorganic phase.Source rocks of our samples consist of Emeishan basalt and a small part of sedimentary rocks,as suggested by the distribution patterns of REEs and w(PREE)-w(La)/w(Yb) diagram.Moreover,abnormal surfaces near the sequence boundaries(SB2,SB3,SB4) are related with the boundaries,identifled by geochemical characteristics of the REEs,such as PREE,w(LREE)/w(HREE),Eu/Eu and Ceanom.Shao Yubao Guo Yinghai Qin Yong Shen Yulin Tian Li 2011Mining Science and Technology2011,21,4:23
2Determining "abnormal" levator hiatus distensibility using three-dimensional transperineal ultrasound in Chinese women显示文摘The dimension of the levator hiatus is a possible predictor of pelvic organ prolapse (POP). Thisretrospective study investigated 360 women who went to urogynecological clinic for pelvic floor discomfort.Levator hiatus dimensions were obtained by three-dimensional transperineal ultrasound and results werecompared between women with and without significantly objective prolapse (International Continence SocietyPOP quantification, grade 2 or higher). Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analyses were performed todetermine valid screening index for detecting abnormal levator hiatus distensibility. Women with significantlyobjective prolapse had significantly higher levator hiatus dimensions than those without (all P 〈 0.001). ROCcurve analyses confirmed that hiatal area (HA) of 19.5 cm2 during Valsalva maneuver can be used as single-screening index for abnormal levator hiatus distensibility with sensitivity of 0.80 and specificity of 0.70. In thisstudy, we used a two-step method and achieved higher sensibility (0.80 vs. 0.87) without reducing specificity (0.70vs. 0.71) compared with a single-screening index method. 3Progress and records in the study of endogenetic mineralization during collisional orogenesis显示文摘To develop and perfect the theory of plate tectonics and regional metallogeny, metal-logenesis during collisional orogenesis should be thoroughly studied and will attract increasing at-tention of more and more scientists. This paper presents the main aspects of research and discus-sions on metallogenesis during collisional orogenesis after the development of plate tectonics, and accordingly divides the study history into two stages, i.e. the junior stage during 1971-1990 and the senior stage after 1990. Beginning with the negation of mineralization in the collision regime by Guild (1971), the focus of study was put on whether there occurred any mineralization during collisional orogenesis at the junior stage. 4Neural substrates of data-driven scientific discovery:An fMRI study during performance of number series completion task显示文摘Although much has been known about how humans psychologically perform data-driven scientific discovery,less has been known about its brain mechanism.The number series completion is a typical data-driven scientific discovery task,and has been demonstrated to possess the priming effect,which is attributed to the regularity identification and its subsequent extrapolation.In order to reduce the heterogeneities and make the experimental task proper for a brain imaging study,the number magnitude and arithmetic operation involved in number series completion tasks are further restricted.Behavioral performance in Experiment 1 shows the reliable priming effect for targets as expected.Then,a factorial design (the priming effect:prime vs.target;the period length:simple vs.complex) of event-related functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) is used in Experiment 2 to examine the neural basis of data-driven scientific discovery.The fMRI results reveal a double dissociation of the left DLPFC (dorsolateral prefrontal cortex) and the left APFC (anterior prefrontal cortex) between the simple (period length=1) and the complex (period length=2) number series completion task.The priming effect in the left DLPFC is more significant for the simple task than for the complex task,while the priming effect in the left APFC is more significant for the complex task than for the simple task.The reliable double dissociation may suggest the different roles of the left DLPFC and left APFC in data-driven scientific discovery.The left DLPFC (BA 46) may play a crucial role in rule identification,while the left APFC (BA 10) may be related to mental set maintenance needed during rule identification and extrapolation.ZHONG Ning LIANG PeiPeng QIN YuLin LU ShengFu YANG YanHui LI KunCheng 2011Science China(Life Sciences)2011,54,5:8
5Activity of cold vortex in northeastern China and its connection with the characteristics of precipitation and circulation during 1960-2012显示文摘Based on the daily reanalysis data released by NCEP/NCAR and the daily precipitation of 753 Chinese stations from May to August during the period of 1960 to 2012, the statistical characteristics of the cold vortex in northeastern China were analyzed. In addition, the strength index, which described the characteristics of the vortex consistently and frequently, and the geographical distribution were given by continuous anomalies of circulation. Based on this index, the activity routines of the cold vortex, characteristics of atmospheric circulation, and their effects on precipitation in northeastern China were analyzed. The results show that: the activities of the cold vortex exhibit remarkable features of annual and interdecadal oscillation, and the vortex high frequency and its characteristics of atmospheric circulation are described more accurately by the strength index of the cold vortex, which shows a high correspondence with the vortex precipitation during early summer and midsummer in the northeast. In strong(weak) vortex years, the general circulation in the middle and high latitudes of Eurasia is to the advantage(disadvantage) of the formation, development and maintenance of the cold vortex, thus it is easy(difficult) to form the circulation which is beneficial to transmit vapor from south to north during the period of July to August. Blocking over the Ural Mountains prevails(does not prevail) in early summer, and blocking over the Sea of Okhotsk prevails(does not prevail) in midsummer. 8Geochemical Characteristics and Sedimentary Control of Pinghu Formation(Eocene)Coal-bearing Source Rocks in Xihu Depression,East China Sea Basin显示文摘Coal-bearing source rocks of the Pinghu Formation in the Xihu Depression comprise an important material basis of oil and gas resources in the East China Sea Basin.Based on drilling core observation results combined with the analysis and test results of macerals,trace/rare earth elements,and rock pyrolysis,the geochemical characteristics and sedimentary control of coal-bearing source rocks formation are discussed in a high-frequency sequence framework.The results indicate that the macerals composition of the coal-bearing source rocks of the Eocene Pinghu Formation in the Xihu Depression is dominated by vitrinite,with low-medium abundance of exinite and almost no inertinite.The coals and carbonaceous mudstones display higher amounts of total organic carbon(TOC)(14.90%-65.10%),S1+S2(39.24-136.52 mg/g),and IH(191-310 HC/g TOC)respectively,as compared to the mudstones.Organic matter is plotted in typeⅢkerogens and partially in typeⅡ;it is mainly in the low maturity stage.The trace elements results imply that the samples were deposited in a weakly reducing to weakly oxidizing environment and were occasionally affected by seawater.The coal-bearing source rocks were deposited in a relatively oxygen-containing environment.The coal-bearing source rocks development is jointly controlled by the coal accumulation environment,the water conditions affected by ocean currents in offshore basins in China,oxidation-reduction cycles of aqueous media and paleoclimate evolution in a high-frequency sequence framework.SHEN Yulin QIN Yong CUI Min XIE Guoliang GUO Yinghai QU Zhenghui YANG Tianyang YANG Liu 2021Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2021,95,1:2

10Transient expression of the enhanced green fluorescent protein(egfp) gene in Sargassum horneri显示文摘Sargassum horneri is a macroalga widespread in North Asia-Pacific region, and these years its bloom has caused huge damage to the environment and the economic in China. To make up the blank on genetic engineering research, a transient transformation system for the multicellular marine brown alga S . horneri was established in this research. The algae used in this research were collected from the Yellow Sea of China and verified as a same species S . horneri with analysis of molecular markers. The S . horneri parietal leaves were transformed with the enhanced green fluorescent gene as the reporter by micro-particle bombardment. The results show that green fluorescent protein (GFP) is an eff ective transgene reporter for S . horneri and that particle bombardment is a suitable method for transformation of S . horneri . Through selection of four diff erent promoters for EGFP and six groups’ bombardment characters, the highest transformation efficiency approximately 1.31% was got with the vector pEGFP-N1 at bombardment characters 900 spi and 6 cm distance. 17Molecular phylogeny found the distribution of Bungarus candidus in China(Squamata: Elapidae)显示文摘Based on molecular phylogeny of the Chinese white cross-band krait, Bungarus multicinctus, several individuals from southwestern and southern China were found to be nested within putative species B. candidus(Linnaeus, 1758) with high support values. Morphological examination also indicated these specimens were identical to B. candidus. We concluded that the Chinese white cross-band krait, previously identified as B. multicinctus in southwest and south China, should be recognized as B. candidus, a new record in China, and B. m. wanghaoti should be invalid. 18An Easily Compatible Eye-tracking System for Freely-moving Small Animals显示文摘Measuring eye movement is a fundamental approach in cognitive science as it provides a variety of insightful parameters that reflect brain states such as visual attention and emotions.Combining eye-tracking with multimodal neural recordings or manipulation techniques is beneficial for understanding the neural substrates of cognitive function.Many commercially-available and custom-built systems have been widely applied to awake,head-fixed small animals.However,the existing eyetracking systems used in freely-moving animals are still limited in terms of their compatibility with other devices and of the algorithm used to detect eye movements.Here,we report a novel system that integrates a general-purpose,easily compatible eye-tracking hardware with a robust eye feature-detection algorithm.With ultra-light hardware and a detachable design,the system allows for more implants to be added to the animal's exposed head and has a precise synchronization module to coordinate with other neural implants.Moreover,we systematically compared the performance of existing commonly-used pupil-detection approaches,and demonstrated that the proposed adaptive pupil feature-detection algorithm allows the analysis of more complex and dynamic eye-tracking data in freemoving animals.Synchronized eye-tracking and electroencephalogram recordings,as well as algorithm validation under five noise conditions,suggested that our system is flexibly adaptable and can be combined with a wide range of neural manipulation and recording technologies.Kang Huang Qin Yang Yaning Han Yulin Zhang Zhiyi Wang Liping Wang Pengfei Wei 2022Neuroscience Bulletin2022,38,6:0
19Preparation and evaluation of an enzymatic microreactor based on HILIC matrix for digestion and identification of proteins显示文摘In the present study,a new enzymatic microreactor is developed by immobilizing trypsin on the matrix-HILIC (hydrophilic interaction chromatography).The influences of different types of buffer solutions (borate,Tris·HCl,and phosphate),their concentrations and pH values on the immobilizing rate and the activity of immobilized trypsin were investigated.The optimal condition for off-line immobilization of trypsin on matix-HILIC was Tris·HCl buffer (20 mmol/L,pH 8.0),and then,under the optimal condition,an enzymatic microreactor was prepared by trypsin dynamically immobilized on HILIC matrix which was packed in a Peeksil column.It can be found that the microreactor possessed high hydrolytic activity according to the hydrolysis results of N-α-benzoyl-DL-arginine P-nitroanilide (BAPNA),a substrate of trypsin.Moreover,bovine serum albumin (BSA),cytochrome C and myoglobin as standard proteins were chosen to characterize the enzymolysis of the microreactor demonstrating the high enzymolysis efficiency by this enzymatic microreactor.Besides,the deactivated trypsin can be easily eluted from the matrix-HILIC to re-immobilize trysin,which is highly cost-effective in the experiment.All the results show that the new enzymatic microreactor associated with HPLC-MS techniques can realize online enzymolysis of proteins,and the time to analyze and identify the proteins is greatly shortened.WANG ShanShan LI Qin LU XueFei LIU Tong ZHANG WeiBo GENG LiNa DENG YuLin 2010Chinese Science Bulletin2010,55,10:0
20Effects of Radix Puerariae, Radix Rehmanniae and Their Compatibility on Blood Glucose and Blood Lipids in Mice显示文摘[Objectives]To explore the effects of the compatibility of Radix Puerariae and Radix Rehmanniae on blood glucose and blood lipids in diabetic mouses.[Methods]Diabetic mouse model was established.The body weight and fasting blood glucose of mice were measured after 7 and 14 d of administration,and the biochemical indicators of blood lipids(TC,HDL-C,and LDL-C)were detected after 14 d of administration.[Results]Compared with the Radix Puerariae group and Radix Rehmanniae group,the compatibility group(1:2)had the best hypoglycemic effect(P<0.05),and TC and LDL-C in the compatibility group(2:1)significantly decreased(P<0.05),while HDL-C in the compatibility group(1:1)significantly increased(P<0.05).[Conclusions]Radix Puerariae,Radix Rehmanniae and their combination can reduce the blood glucose of diabetic mice.The compatibility group(1:2)had a significant hypoglycemic effect(P<0.05),and LDL-C in the compatibility group(2:1)significantly declined,while HDL-C in the compatibility group(1:1)rose significantly.Yumei ZHANG Yulin ZHAO Yanmei QIN Jialing WEI Xiang QIN Suoyi HUANG 2024Medicinal Plant2024,15,1:0
