1N and P resorption in a pioneer shrub(Artemisia halodendron) inhabiting severely desertified lands of Northern China显示文摘Nutrient resorption is an important conservation mechanism for plants to overcome nutrient limitation in the less fertile area of desertified land.In the semi-arid Horqin Sandy Land of Northern China,the shrub Artemisia halodendron usually colonizes into the bare ground of severely desertified land as a pioneer species.It is,therefore,expected that A.halodendron will be less dependent on current nutrient uptake through efficient and proficient resorption of nutrients.In this study,we found that averaged nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)concentrations in senesced leaves significantly varied from 12.3 and 1.2 mg/g in the shifting sand dune to 15.9 and 1.9 mg/g in the fixed sand dune,respectively,suggesting that foliar N and P resorption of A.halodendron were more proficient in the shifting sand dune.In particular,positive relationships between nutrient concentrations in senesced leaves and soil nutrient availability indicate that A.halodendron in infertile habitats is more likely to manage with a low level of nutrients in senesced leaves,giving this species an advantage in infertile soil.Moreover,foliar N-and P-resorption efficiencies and proficiencies showed limited inter-annual variability although annual precipitation varied greatly among 2007–2009.However,N and P resorption of A.halodendron were not more efficient and proficient than those previously reported for other shrubs,indicating that the pioneer shrub in sand dune environments does not rely more heavily than other plants on the process of resorption to conserve nutrients.Incomplete resorption of nutrients in A.halodendron suggests that senesced-leaf fall would return litter with high quality to the soil,and thereby would indirectly improve soil nutrient availability.The restoration of desertified land,therefore,may be accelerated after A.halodendron pioneers into shifting sand dunes.YuLin LI Chen JING Wei MAO Duo CUI XinYuan WANG XueYong ZHAO 2014Journal of Arid Land2014,6,2:11

3Genetical study on the parthenogenesis in Laminaria japonica显示文摘The parthenogenesis and natural doubling of chromosomes in wild type female gametophytes of Laminaria japonica were studied. The results indicate that not all the female gametophytes from the wild type hybrid parent can propagate through parthenogenesis. Most parthenosporophytes can mature, their spores germinate into gametophytes, the latter then developed into female sporophytes. To form these parthenosporophytes the natural doubling of chromosomes occurred mainly at the first and second cell divisions of the spores. 4Geochemical Characteristics and Sedimentary Control of Pinghu Formation(Eocene)Coal-bearing Source Rocks in Xihu Depression,East China Sea Basin显示文摘Coal-bearing source rocks of the Pinghu Formation in the Xihu Depression comprise an important material basis of oil and gas resources in the East China Sea Basin.Based on drilling core observation results combined with the analysis and test results of macerals,trace/rare earth elements,and rock pyrolysis,the geochemical characteristics and sedimentary control of coal-bearing source rocks formation are discussed in a high-frequency sequence framework.The results indicate that the macerals composition of the coal-bearing source rocks of the Eocene Pinghu Formation in the Xihu Depression is dominated by vitrinite,with low-medium abundance of exinite and almost no inertinite.The coals and carbonaceous mudstones display higher amounts of total organic carbon(TOC)(14.90%-65.10%),S1+S2(39.24-136.52 mg/g),and IH(191-310 HC/g TOC)respectively,as compared to the mudstones.Organic matter is plotted in typeⅢkerogens and partially in typeⅡ;it is mainly in the low maturity stage.The trace elements results imply that the samples were deposited in a weakly reducing to weakly oxidizing environment and were occasionally affected by seawater.The coal-bearing source rocks were deposited in a relatively oxygen-containing environment.The coal-bearing source rocks development is jointly controlled by the coal accumulation environment,the water conditions affected by ocean currents in offshore basins in China,oxidation-reduction cycles of aqueous media and paleoclimate evolution in a high-frequency sequence framework.SHEN Yulin QIN Yong CUI Min XIE Guoliang GUO Yinghai QU Zhenghui YANG Tianyang YANG Liu 2021Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2021,95,1:2
5Efficient CO2 to CO conversion at moderate temperatures enabled by the cobalt and copper co-doped ferrite oxygen carrier显示文摘Chemical looping technology holds great potential on efficient CO2 splitting with much higher CO production and CO2 splitting rate than photocatalytic processes.Conventional oxygen carrier requires high temperature(typically 850–1000°C)to ensure sufficient redox activity,but the stable and high CO2 conversion is favored at a lower temperature,leading to the degrading on the reaction kinetics as well as the low CO production and CO2 splitting rate.In this paper,we prepared several ternary spinels and demonstrated their performance for chemical looping CO2 splitting at moderate temperatures.Using the promotion effect of Cu to cobalt ferrite reduction and reversible phase change of the reduced metals,Cu0.4 Co0.6 Fe2 O4 exhibits high CO2 splitting rate(144.6μmol g–1 min–1)and total CO production(9100μmol g–1)at 650°C.The high performance of this earth-abundant spinel material is also consistent in repeated redox cycles,enabling their potential in industrial use.Yu Qiu Li Ma Dewang Zeng Min Li Dongxu Cui Yulin Lv Shuai Zhang Rui Xiao 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,7:2

8Transient expression of the enhanced green fluorescent protein(egfp) gene in Sargassum horneri显示文摘Sargassum horneri is a macroalga widespread in North Asia-Pacific region, and these years its bloom has caused huge damage to the environment and the economic in China. To make up the blank on genetic engineering research, a transient transformation system for the multicellular marine brown alga S . horneri was established in this research. The algae used in this research were collected from the Yellow Sea of China and verified as a same species S . horneri with analysis of molecular markers. The S . horneri parietal leaves were transformed with the enhanced green fluorescent gene as the reporter by micro-particle bombardment. The results show that green fluorescent protein (GFP) is an eff ective transgene reporter for S . horneri and that particle bombardment is a suitable method for transformation of S . horneri . Through selection of four diff erent promoters for EGFP and six groups’ bombardment characters, the highest transformation efficiency approximately 1.31% was got with the vector pEGFP-N1 at bombardment characters 900 spi and 6 cm distance. 18Changes in soil and vegetation on moving sand dunes after exclosure in Horqin Sandy Land, Northern China显示文摘In the semiarid Horqin Sandy Land of northern China, land desertification is the main causation in vegetation degradation and formation of moving dunes. A study was conducted from 1996 to 2005 to monitor the changes of vegetation characteristics and soil properties after moving dunes were fenced. The changes were compared between moving sand dunes with exclosure and without exclosure to evaluate the effectiveness of vegetation and soil restoration after exclosure establishment. The results show that exlosure establishment facilitated the colonization and development of plant species by ameliorating stressful environmental conditions. Species diversity, average coverage, and plant density significantly increased after exclosure of moving sand dunes along sequence compared with sand dunes without exclosure. Vegetation recovery on moving sand dunes accelerated by exclosure resulted in significant changes in soil properties including increased silt and clay contents, organic C and total N and decreased sand content, especially at the 0-5 cm depth. 20Hierarchical Ti_(3)C_(2)/TiO_(2)/MoS_(2) Composite as an Anode Material for Sodium-ion Batteries显示文摘MoS_(2) with a large interlayer spacing of 6.24Å(1Å=0.1 nm)and a high theoretical capacity of 678 mA·h·g^(‒1) is recognized as a potential electrode candidate for sodium-ion batteries.However,its agglomeration tendency and volume change upon the charge/discharge cycling lead to fast capacity decay and poor cyclic stability.In this work,a hierarchical Ti_(3)C_(2)/TiO_(2)/MoS_(2) composite was prepared to improve the electrochemical performance of MoS_(2).Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx MXene was used as a conductive agent and mechanical support,while zero-strain TiO_(2) generated through the in-situ oxidization of Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx MXene was utilized as a structural stabilizer.Compared with Ti_(3)C_(2)/TiO_(2),Ti_(3)C_(2),and MoS_(2),the Ti_(3)C_(2)/TiO_(2)/MoS_(2) composite exhibited excellent electrochemical performance:a high specific capacity of 413.6 mA·h·g^(‒1)was retained after charge/discharge at 0.1 A/g for 100 cycles and a high rate capacity of 302.2 mA·h·g^(‒1) was achieved at 8.0 A/g as an anode material for sodium-ion batteries.Therefore,this work sheds light on the development of MoS_(2)-based materials for anodes of sodium-ion batteries.BAI Yulin FENG Rong YAN Tao LIU Yusi CUI Li WANG Kaixue 2023Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2023,39,6:0
