| 1 | The state-of-the-art of the China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite mission显示文摘The China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite(CSES) mission was proposed in 2003 and approved in 2013 after ten years' scientific and engineering demonstrations. To meet the requirement of scientific objectives, the satellite is designed to be in a sunsynchronous orbit with an altitude of 507 km and descending node time of 14:00 LT. The CSES satellite carries 8 instruments,including search-coil magnetometer(SCM), electric field detector(EFD), high precision magnetometer(HPM), GNSS occultation receiver(GOR), plasma analyzer package(PAP), langmuir probe(LAP), high energetic particle package(HEPP) and detector(HEPD), and tri-band beacon(TBB), among which HEPD is provided by Italian Space Agency. The CSES satellite was launched successfully on February 2, 2018, and is planned to operate for 5 years. | 2 | Accuracy and responses of genomic selection on key traits in apple breeding显示文摘The application of genomic selection in fruit tree crops is expected to enhance breeding eficiency by increasing prediction accuracy,increasing selection intensity and decreasing generation interval.The objectives of this study were to assess the accuracy of prediction and selection response in commercial apple breeding programmes for key traits.The training population comprised 977 individuals derived from 20 pedigreed fllsib families.Historic phenotypic data were available on 10 traits related to productivity and fruit external appearance and genotypic data for 7829 SNPs obtained with an llumina 20K SNP array.From these data,a genome-wide prediction model was built and subsequently used to calculate genomic breeding values of five application fllsib families.The application families had genotypes at 364 SNPs from a dedicated 512 SNP array,and these genotypic data were extended to the high-density level by imputation.These five families were phenotyped for 1 year and their phenotypes were compared to the predicted breeding values.Accuracy of genomic prediction across the 10 traits reached a maximum value of 0.5 and had a median value of 0.19.The accuracies were strongly affected by the phenotypic distribution and heritability of traits.In the largest family,significant selection response was observed for traits with high heritability and symmetric phenotypic distribution.Traits that showed non-significant response often had reduced and skewed phenotypic variation or low heritability.Among the five application families the accuracies were uncorrelated to the degree of relatedness to the training population.The results underline the potential of genomic prediction to accelerate breeding progress in outbred fruit tree crops that still need to overcome long generation intervals and extensive phenotyping costs. | Hélène Muranty Michela Troggio Inès Ben Sadok Mehdi Al Rifaï Annemarie Auwerkerken Elisa Banchi Riccardo Velasco Piergiorgio Stevanato W.Eric van de Weg Mario Di Guardo Satish Kumar François Laurens Marco C.A.M.Bink | 2015 | Horticulture Research2015，2，1： | 14 |

| 4 | The HEPD particle detector of the CSES satellite mission for investigating seismo-associated perturbations of the Van Allen belts显示文摘CSES(China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite) is a mission developed by CNSA(Chinese National Space Administration) and ASI(Italian Space Agency), to investigate the near-Earth electromagnetic, plasma and particle environment, for studying the seismo-associated disturbances in the ionosphere-magnetosphere transition zone. The anthropogenic and electromagnetic noise,as well as the natural non-seismic electromagnetic emissions is mainly due to tropospheric activity. In particular, the mission aims to confirming the existence of possible temporal correlations between the occurrence of earthquakes for medium and strong magnitude and the observation in space of electromagnetic perturbations, plasma variations and precipitation of bursts with highenergy charged particles from the inner Van Allen belt. In this framework, the high energy particle detector(HEPD) of the CSES mission has been developed by the Italian LIMADOU Collaboration. HEPD is an advanced detector based on a tower of scintillators and a silicon tracker that provides good energy and angular resolution and a wide angular acceptance, for electrons of 3–100 Me V, protons of 30–200 Me V and light nuclei up to the oxygen. | 12 | Role of the advanced glycation end products receptor in Crohn's disease inflammation显示文摘AIM:To investigate the level of mucosal expression and the involvement of the receptor for the advanced glycation end products(RAGE)in delayed apoptosis and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αproduction in Crohn’s disease(CD).METHODS:Surgical and endoscopic specimens from both inflamed and non-inflamed areas of the ileum and/or colon were collected from 20 and 14 adult CD patients,respectively,and used for the assessment of RAGE expression by means of immunohistochemistry and western blotting analysis.Normal tissues from 21 control subjects were used for comparison.The same polyclonal anti-human RAGE antibody(R and D System)was used in all experimental conditions.RAGE staining was quantized by a score including both the amount of positive cells and intensity of immunoreactivity;cellular pattern was also described.The effects of RAGE blocking on apoptotic rate and TNF-αproduction were investigated on immune cells freshly isolated from CD mucosa and incubated both with and without the muramyl dipeptide used as antigenic stimulus.Statistical analysis was performed via the test for trend,with regression models to account for intra-patient correlations.A 2-sided P<0.05 was considered significant.RESULTS:In inflamed areas,RAGE expression in both the epithelial and lamina propria compartments was higher than control tissues(P=0.001 and 0.021,respectively),and a cluster of positive cells were usually found in proximity of ulcerative lesions.Similar results were obtained in the lamina propria compartment of non-inflamed areas(P=0.025).The pattern of staining was membranous and granular cytosolic at the epithelial level,while in the lamina propria it was diffuse cytosolic.When evaluating the amount of protein expression by immunoblotting,a significant increase of both surface area and band intensity(P<0.0001 for both)was observed in CD inflamed areas compared to control tissue,while in non-inflamed areas a significant increase was found only for band intensity(P<0.005).Moreover,a significantly lower expression in noninflamed areas in comparison with inflamed areas was found for both surface area and band intensity(P<0.0006 for both).Finally,RAGE blocking largely affects both the apoptotic rate of mucosal cells(towards an increase in both non-inflamed and inflamed areas of P<0.001 and<0.0001,respectively)and TNF-αsecretion(towards a decrease in both non-inflamed and inflamed areas of P<0.05 and<0.01,respectively),mainly in the presence of antigenic stimulation.CONCLUSION:RAGE is up-regulated in CD,especially in inflamed areas,and it appears to play a role in the mechanisms involved in chronic inflammation. | Rachele Ciccocioppo Alessandro Vanoli Catherine Klersy Venerina Imbesi Vincenzo Boccaccio Rachele Manca Elena Betti Giuseppina Cristina Cangemi Elena Strada Roberta Besio Antonio Rossi Colomba Falcone Sandro Ardizzone Paolo Fociani Piergiorgio Danelli Gino Roberto Corazza | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013，19，45： | 2 |
