1Laparoscopic surgery for benign and malign diseases of the digestive system:Indications,limitations,and evidence显示文摘The laparoscopic technique was introduced in gastrointestinal surgery in the mid 1980s.Since then,the development of this technique has been extraordinary.Triggered by technical innovations(stapling devices or coagulation/dissecting devices),nowadays any type of gastrointestinal resection has been successfully performed laparoscopically and can be performed laparoscopically dependent on the patient’s condition.This summary gives an overview over 30 years of laparoscopic surgery with focus on today’s indications and evidence.Main indications remain the more common procedures,e.g.,appendectomy,cholecystectomy,bariatric procedures or colorectal resections.For all these indications,the laparoscopic approach has become the gold standard with less perioperative morbidity.Regarding oncological outcome there have been several highquality randomized controlled trials which demonstrated equivalency between laparoscopic and open colorectal resections.Less common procedures like esophagectomy,oncological gastrectomy,liver and pancreatic resections can be performed successfully as well by anexperienced surgeon.However,the evidence for these special indications is poor and a general recommendation cannot be given.In conclusion,laparoscopic surgery has revolutionized the field of gastrointestinal surgery by reducing perioperative morbidity without disregarding surgical principles especially in oncological surgery.Markus Alexander Küper Friederike Eisner Alfred K?nigsrainer J?rg Glatzle 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,17:9
2Direct generation of linearly polarized photon emission with designated orientations from site-controlled InGaN quantum dots显示文摘Semiconductor quantum dots(QDs)have been demonstrated viable for efficient light emission applications,in particular for the emission of single photons on demand.However,the preparation of QDs emitting photons with predefined and deterministic polarization vectors has proven arduous.Access to linearly polarized photons is essential for various applications.In this report,a novel concept to directly generate linearly-polarized photons is presented.This concept is based on InGaN QDs grown on top of elongated GaN hexagonal pyramids,by which the predefined elongation determines the polarization vectors of the emitted photons from the QDs.This growth scheme should allow fabrication of ultracompact arrays of photon emitters,with a controlled polarization direction for each individual emitter.Anders Lundskog Chih-Wei Hsu K Fredrik Karlsson Supaluck Amloy Daniel Nilsson Urban Forsberg Per Olof Holtz Erik Janzen 2014Light(Science & Applications)2014,3,1:4
