1Crop photosynthetic response to light quality and light intensity显示文摘Under natural conditions, plants constantly encounter various biotic and abiotic factors, which can potentially restrict plant growth and development and even limit crop productivity. Among various abiotic factors affecting plant photosynthesis, light serves as an important factor that drives carbon metabolism in plants and supports life on earth. The two components of light(light quality and light intensity) greatly affect plant photosynthesis and other plant's morphological, physiological and biochemical parameters. The response of plants to different spectral radiations and intensities differs in various species and also depends on growing conditions. To date, much research has been conducted regarding how different spectral radiations of varying intensity can affect plant growth and development. 2四川地区玉米/大豆带状套作对大豆形态、叶绿素荧光特征及系统产量的影响显示文摘玉米/大豆带状套作可以充分利用光环境,提高单位土地面积物质产出。为探明玉米/大豆带状复合种植模式下不同空间配置对大豆冠层光环境、形态、产量及系统效益的影响,进而为大豆高产优质栽培提供依据,本研究选用半紧凑型(‘川单418’)和紧凑型(‘荣玉1210’)玉米品种与大豆带状套作,固定带宽为200cm,玉米采用宽窄行种植,玉米窄行距设置3个处理:20cm、40cm、60cm;并以单作大豆(SS)作为对照。分析透光率、形态、光合色素、荧光参数、生物量和系统产量的变化规律。结果表明:套作大豆冠层透光率、红光/远红光(R/FR)比值随玉米窄行距的增大而逐渐降低;套作下大豆茎粗、节数、茎干重和全叶干重均随玉米窄行距增大呈降低趋势,最大值出现在玉米窄行距20cm处理下;与单作大豆相比,两个玉米品种下大豆茎粗、节数、茎干重和全叶干重均显著降低,而第2节间长和主茎长显著升高。套作下大豆叶片光合色素含量随玉米窄行距的增大而逐渐降低,各行距处理及不同玉米品种下套作的叶片光合色素含量均低于单作大豆。大豆叶片荧光参数Fv/Fm、NPQ、Fq'Fm'和Fq'/Fv'随玉米窄行距的增大均呈先增大后减小的趋势,而Fo变化趋势与之相反。玉米收获后,大豆光环境得到改善并迅速恢复生长,套作大豆形态生理指标与单作差异减小,但由于前期玉米的遮荫,各套作处理间大豆产量差异仍显著。通过系统效益分析,在玉米窄行距40cm处理下,套作系统综合产量最高,两玉米品种下玉米、大豆产量平均分别为8559.52kg·hm^-2、1717.60kg·hm^-2,土地当量比平均达1.57。本试验中大豆与两个株型玉米套作,大豆形态生理指标差异影响不显著。因此,选择紧凑或半紧凑玉米品种,适度缩小玉米窄行距可以显著改善带状套作大豆的生长环境,提高其生物量和产量。陈元凯 冯铃洋 Muhammad Ali Raza 范元芳 谌俊旭 雍太文 杨文钰 杨峰 2019中国生态农业学报(中英文)2019,27,6:16
3氮磷配施对玉米-大豆套作模式下种间作用、玉米产量及干物质积累与转运的影响显示文摘以盆栽和田间小区试验结合的方法,通过设置根系分隔与不分隔方式及不同供氮(0、120、180、240kg/hm^2,记为N_0、N_(120)、N_(180)、N_(240))、供磷水平(0、35、70、105kg/hm2,记为P_0、P_(35)、P_(70)、P_(105)),探究在玉米-大豆套作模式下氮磷配施对种间作用、玉米产量及干物质积累与转运的影响。结果表明,1)氮磷互作效应对带状套作系统的种间促进作用显著,配施可缓解玉米与大豆的种间竞争作用,提高套作系统土地当量比率、种间竞争力和营养竞争比率,促进玉米对氮、磷素的吸收,表现出显著的套作产量优势和资源利用优势(LER>1),且优势效应高于单施氮、磷肥。2)氮磷互作对玉米各生育期干物质积累量的影响呈峰形变化趋势,中氮中磷(N_(180)P_(70))处理可显著降低花前干物质的积累量,增加成熟期干物质积累总量,促进花后干物质积累向籽粒转运,提高玉米收获指数。3)种间作用和氮磷互作可显著影响玉米产量,提高套作玉米有效穗和穗粒数,两种植模式中无论施肥与否,在套作条件下玉米的产量均高于净作,且在N_(180)P_(70)处理时玉米产量达到最大值,套作较净作增产幅度达1.65%~20.43%。本研究结果表明,套作模式下玉米氮磷配施以施氮180kg/hm^2、施磷70kg/hm^2时,种间促进作用显著,可改善其穗部性状,有利于成熟期干物质的积累和向籽粒的转运,最终获得较高的产量。曾瑾汐 文熙宸 Muhammad Ali Raza 陈国鹏 陈诚 彭霄 马艳玮 李丽 官思成 杨文钰 王小春 2017草业学报2017,26,7:11
41-MCP Regulates Ethanol Fermentation and GABA Shunt Pathway Involved in Kiwifruit Quality During Postharvest Storage显示文摘Kiwifruit(Actinidia deliciosa)‘Bruno’is prone to accumulate ethanol rapidly after respiratory climacteric during storage at ambient conditions without stresses,which causes quality deterioration of the fruit associated with alcohol off-flavor.For maintaining the postharvest quality of kiwifruit‘Bruno’,the effects of 1.0μL•L^−11-methylcyclopropene(1-MCP)treatment on regulating the ethanol fermentation andγ-aminobutyric acid(GABA)shunt pathway associated with control of alcohol off-flavor were investigated during storage at room temperature(24±1)°C for 27 days.The results showed that 1-MCP treatment significantly reduced the respiration rate,ethylene production,decay rate,ascorbic acid(AsA)loss,and delayed the decline in the firmness and titratable acidity(TA),and the increase in total soluble solid(TSS)in kiwifruit.Furthermore,1-MCP treatment effectively inhibited the increases in contents of acetaldehyde,ethanol,and GABA along with the suppressed activities of key enzymes involved in ethanol fermentation and GABA shunt pathway,such as pyruvate decarboxylase(PDC),alcohol dehydrogenase(ADH),glutamate decarboxylase(GAD),and GABA-transaminase(GABA-T)in kiwifruit during storage.In conclusion,1-MCP treatment efficiently regulated the ethanol fermentation and GABA shunt pathway by delaying the ripening process to avoid the alcohol off-flavor development,thereby contributed to maintaining the quality of the kiwifruit.Maratab Ali Muhammad Ammar Raza Shenge Li Lichao Zhou Chen Huan Shen Shuling Xiaolin Zheng 2021Horticultural Plant Journal2021,7,1:7

6Far-red light: A regulator of plant morphology and photosynthetic capacity显示文摘Plant photosynthetic capacity directly determines crop yield. Light quality regulates photosynthetic capacity. This review discusses plant responses to far-red light from the phenotypic to the molecular level, focusing specifically on the improvement of photosynthetic capacity by adjustment of photosynthetic electron transport and the path of light energy. Far-red light can also regulate leaf angle and increase plant height and leaf area, via expression of associated genes, to capture more light energy.Thus, far-red light regulates plant morphology and photosynthetic capacity. 7Factors influencing hybrid maize farmers' risk attitudes and their perceptions in Punjab Province,Pakistan显示文摘Hybrid maize farmers have to face diverse kinds of climate, biological, price and financial risks. Farmers' risk perceptions and risk attitudes are essential elements influencing farm operations and management decisions. However, this important issue has been overlooked in the contemporary studies and therefore there is a dearth of literature on this important issue. The present research is therefore, an attempt to fill this gap. This study aims to quantify hybrid maize farmers' perceptions of disastrous risks, their attitudes towards risk and to explore the impacts of various farm and farm household factors on farmers' risk attitudes and risk perceptions. The present study is conducted in four hybrid maize growing districts of Punjab Province, Pakistan, using cross-sectional data of 400 hybrid maize farmers. Risk matrix and equally likely certainty equivalent(ELCE) method are used to rank farmers' perceptions of four catastrophic risk sources including climate, biological, price and financial risks and to investigate farmers' risk aversion attitudes, respectively. Furthermore, probit regression is used to analyze the determinants affecting farmers' risk attitudes and risk perceptions. The results of the study showed that majority of farmers are risk averse in nature and perceive price, biological and climate to be potential sources of risks to their farm enterprise. In addition, analysis divulges that distance from farm to main market, off-farm income, location dummies for Sahiwal and Okara, age, maize farming experience, access to extension agent, significantly(either negatively or positively) influence farmers' risk attitudes and risk perceptions. 10Antioxidant potential of phenolic extracts of Mimusops elengi显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the antioxidant potential of the phenolic extracts of Mimusops elengi(M.elengi) L.(Sapotaceae).Methods:The extract of stem bark and seeds of M.elengi were prepared in methanol and acefone:water(7:3).The acetone:water was further partitioned with ethyl acetate and n-butanol.Antioxidant activity of the extracts and partitioned fractions of M.elengi was evaluated in terms of radical scavenging potential(DPPH),inhibition of lipid peroxidation[ferric thiocyanate(FTC)],and total antioxidant activity(phosphomolybdate method).Total phenolics content were calculated using Folin-Ciocalteu reagent.Results:The stem bark extract partitioned with ethyl acetate exhibited highest amount ol total phenols(98.0 mg GAE/g dry weight),among all other extracts,with 92.0%DPPH radical scavenging activity al concentration of0.5 mg/mL.while methanol extract(stem bark) had maximum inhibition ol lipid peroxidation(62.0%)and total antioxidant activity(771.0 mg/g GAE/g).A positive correlation occurred between tolal phenols and radical scavenging activity(R^2 = 0.9229) and total antioxidant activity(R^2= 0.9451).Conclusions:Our study suggested that antioxidant activity of stembark extract of M.elengi is due the presence of phenolic compounds.Furthermore,the hark extract is a valuable source of natural antioxidants.Durre Shahwar Muhammad Asam Raza 2012Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2012,2,7:3
11Why more research needs to be done on echinococcosis in Pakistan显示文摘Background:Echinococcosis has a worldwide geographical distribution with endemic foci on every inhabited continent.Due to the frequent outbreaks in different parts of Pakistan in the recent past,echinococcosis is being described as a neglected tropical disease and is considered one of the most neglected parasitic diseases in the country.In endemic regions,predominantly settings with limited resources,there are high numbers of echinococcosis patients,as these communities do not have access to appropriate treatment.In Pakistan,there are limited reports on echinococcosis.The disease is prevalent in human and livestock,but this has not been sufficiently explored yet.Pakistan is an agricultural country and due to the disease’s zoonotic mode of transmission,there is a dire need of future research on it.The present paper is an effort to highlight the importance of echinococcosis in Pakistan.Discussion:There is a dire need for future research on echinococcosis in Pakistan as very few investigations had been carried out on this topic thus far.The prevalence of the disease in neighbouring countries highlights that Pakistan might be at severe risk of this zoonotic infection and further supports the need for more research.In Pakistan,the majority of the population lives in rural areas with limited acess to proper hygienic/sanitary facilities.These conditions favour the outbreak of diseases such as echinococcosis.The limited available data could result in higher outbreaks in the future,and thus cause the already weak healthcare system to overburden.The country has a meagre annual budget for health,which is being spent on known infections such as polio,dengue fever and hepatic viral infections.A proper surveillance system for echinococcosis is required across the country as treatment is usually expensive,complicated and may require extensive surgery and/or prolonged drug therapy.Development of new/novel drugs and other treatment modalities receives very little,if any,attention.Prognostic awareness programmes against this infection involve deworming of the infected animals,improved food inspection and slaughterhouse hygiene,and public education campaigns.Conclusion:Future research on echinococcosis is anticipated to demonstrate whether the epidemiology,diagnosis and recombinant vaccines/antibodies relating to echinococcosis can meet the quality standards(purity,potency,safety and efficacy)defined by the World Health Organization.Research work should be carried out on the epidemiology and serodiagnosis of echinocossis in the different areas of Pakistan,which will be useful for the proper eradication of echinococcosis in this region.The health department should implement awareness-raising campaigns for the general public in order to reduce the burden of disease.Haroon Ahmed Shahzad Ali Muhammad Sohail Afzal Abid Ali Khan Hamid Raza Zaheer Hussain Shah Sami Simsek 2017Infectious Diseases of Poverty2017,6,1:2
12Physiological and biochemical appraisal for mulching and partial rhizosphere drying of cotton显示文摘Water is the main factor for the healthy life of plant.One of the main negative effects of climate change is the increasing scarcity of water that is lethal for plant.Globally,for water deficit regions(arid and semi-arid),drought is the main factor responsible for low production of agriculture,especially for cotton.Great efforts have been and are being made to find alternatives to water saving practices.This study aimed to examine the effects of partial rhizosphere drying(PRD,half of the root system irrigated at one event,and the other half irrigated in the next event,and so on)with and/or without various mulching treatments on physiological and biochemical traits of cotton.To explore this objective,we laid out experiments in completely randomized design with factorial arrangement in the Islamia University of Bahawalpur,Pakistan in 2016.Two factors included were four mulching treatments(M0,no mulching;M1,black plastic mulching;M2,wheat straw mulching;and M3,cotton sticks mulching)and two irrigation levels(I0,control(full irrigation);and I1,PRD).Fisher's analysis of variance among means of treatments was compared using least significant difference test at 5% probability level.Results revealed that the maximum plant height,leaf area,leaf gas exchange(photosynthetic rate and stomata conductance),chlorophyll,proline and total sugar contents,and enzyme activities were higher under M2 than under other three mulching treatments.As for irrigation levels,higher values of plant height,photosynthesis and water related parameters(leaf water potential,leaf osmotic potential,leaf turgor potential,etc.)were recorded.Contents of total sugar and proline and activities of antioxidant enzymes were significantly higher in PRD-treated plants than in control plants.It was concluded that combined application of PRD and mulching was more effective than the rest of the treatments used in the experiment.Similar study can be conducted in the field by applying irrigation water in alternate rows in semi-arid regions.Rashid IQBAL Muhammad A S RAZA Muhammad F SALEEM Imran H KHAN Salman AHMAD Muhammad S ZAHEER Muhammad U ASLAM Imran HAIDER 2019Journal of Arid Land2019,11,5:2

14Soil inorganic carbon sequestration through alkalinity regeneration using biologically induced weathering of rock powder and biochar显示文摘Soil inorganic carbon(SIC)accounts for about half of the C reserves worldwide and is considered more stable than soil organic carbon(SOC).However,soil acidification,driven mainly by nitrogen(N)fertilization can accelerate SIC losses,possibly leading to complete loss under continuous and intensive N fertilization.Carbonate-free soils are less fertile,productive,and more prone to erosion.Therefore,minimizing carbonate losses is essential for soil health and climate change mitigation.Rock/mineral residues or powder have been suggested as a cheaper source of amendments to increase soil alkalinity.However,slow mineral dissolution limits its efficient utilization.Soil microorganisms play a vital role in the weathering of rocks and their inoculation with mineral residues can enhance dissolution rates.Biochar is an alternative material for soil amendments,in particular,bone biochar(BBC)contains higher Ca and Mg that can induce even higher alkalinity.This review covers i)the contribution and mechanism of rock residues in alkalinity generation,ii)the role of biochar or BBC to soil alkalinity,and iii)the role of microbial inoculation for accelerating alkalinity generation through enhanced mineral dissolution.We conclude that using rock residues/BBC combined with microbial agents could mitigate soil acidification and SIC losses and also improve agricultural circularity.Muhammad Azeem Sajjad Raza Gang Li Pete Smith Yong-Guan Zhu 2022Soil Ecology Letters2022,4,4:2

17预热对选区激光熔化316L不锈钢力学性能的影响显示文摘为了提升激光增材制造316L不锈钢的综合性能,比较了室温、预热100℃和200℃三种条件下选区激光熔化(SLM)316L不锈钢试样的组织、拉伸性能、冲击韧性和疲劳性能。结果表明:SLM制备的316L具有显著的各向异性。沿水平面方向和沿垂直方向取样时,试样室温冲击功分别约为轧制板材的47%和44%;室温制备SLM试样承受垂直方向载荷时的抗拉强度约为其承受水平方向载荷时的抗拉强度的81.6%。预热对致密度和冲击韧性的影响很小;预热使显微硬度和抗拉强度略微降低、延伸率略微提高,但总体上变化不显著。在所设置的试验条件下,预热对试样承受垂直方向载荷时的疲劳寿命的影响很小,但使试样承受水平方向载荷时的疲劳寿命得到明显提高。分析认为,预热后试样在疲劳试验中需要经历更多循环载荷加载次数才能达到临界裂纹尺寸。解妙霞 辛琪珂 李焱鑫 Khan Muhammad Raza 2022中国激光2022,49,8:2

19Week Ahead Electricity Power and Price Forecasting Using Improved DenseNet-121 Method显示文摘In the Smart Grid(SG)residential environment,consumers change their power consumption routine according to the price and incentives announced by the utility,which causes the prices to deviate from the initial pattern.Thereby,electricity demand and price forecasting play a significant role and can help in terms of reliability and sustainability.Due to the massive amount of data,big data analytics for forecasting becomes a hot topic in the SG domain.In this paper,the changing and non-linearity of consumer consumption pattern complex data is taken as input.To minimize the computational cost and complexity of the data,the average of the feature engineering approaches includes:Recursive Feature Eliminator(RFE),Extreme Gradient Boosting(XGboost),Random Forest(RF),and are upgraded to extract the most relevant and significant features.To this end,we have proposed the DensetNet-121 network and Support Vector Machine(SVM)ensemble with Aquila Optimizer(AO)to ensure adaptability and handle the complexity of data in the classification.Further,the AO method helps to tune the parameters of DensNet(121 layers)and SVM,which achieves less training loss,computational time,minimized overfitting problems and more training/test accuracy.Performance evaluation metrics and statistical analysis validate the proposed model results are better than the benchmark schemes.Our proposed method has achieved a minimal value of the Mean Average Percentage Error(MAPE)rate i.e.,8%by DenseNet-AO and 6%by SVM-AO and the maximum accurateness rate of 92%and 95%,respectively.Muhammad Irfan Ali Raza Faisal Althobiani Nasir Ayub Muhammad Idrees Zain Ali Kashif Rizwan Abdullah Saeed Alwadie Saleh Mohammed Ghonaim Hesham Abdushkour Saifur Rahman Omar Alshorman Samar Alqhtani 2022Computers, Materials & Continua2022,,9:2
