| 1 | Stability analysis of shallow tunnels subjected to eccentric loads by a boundary element method显示文摘In this paper, stress behavior of shallow tunnels under simultaneous non-uniform surface traction and symmetric gravity loading was studied using a direct boundary element method(BEM). The existing fullplane elastostatic fundamental solutions to displacement and stress fields were used and implemented in a developed algorithm. The cross-section of the tunnel was considered in circular, square, and horseshoe shapes and the lateral coefficient of the domain was assumed as unit quantity. Double-node procedure of the BEM was applied at the corners to improve the model including sudden traction changes. The results showed that the method used was a powerful tool for modeling underground openings under various external as well as internal loads. Eccentric loads significantly influenced the stress pattern of the surrounding tunnel. | 5 | Knowledge,attitude,and practices related to cutaneous leishmaniasis in an endemic focus of cutaneous leishmaniasis,Southern Iran显示文摘Objective:To assess knowledge,attitudes,and practices(KAP)of inhabitants of an endemic area it)Fars province toward cutaneous leishmaniasis(CI).Methods:the study was carried out in Lapui district in Fars province,south of Iran,one of the most important foci of CL in this province.Sample size(237 residents)was calculated based on population.House-to-house survey was done to collect the data regarding knowledge,attitudes,and practices of the inhabitants.The head of each household was interviewed by a trained staff to assess his/her KAP related to CL.A semi-structured KAP questionnaire was used for data collection.Results:Mean age of participants was 39 and more titan half of the respondents were in the age group of 31-40.Males constituted 172(72.5%)of subjects.Most of the respondents(84.3%)were literate.The majority of the study poulation(83%)had heard about SalaJc(local name for CL)and most of these respondents(91%)were aware that CL is presented with a cutaneous lesion.Nearly two-third of the participants(63.5%)stated the bite of mosquito(not specifically sandflies)for CL transmission.The respondents'attitude regarding the treatment of CL was not satisfactory since Only 48%believed that CL can be treated by medicine.A noticeable proportion of respondents(21%)believed in indigenous medicine for the treatment of CL.A small proportion of respondents(14%)stated that traditional healers are good at treating this disease.More than two-third(69%)of respondents believed that the disease is preventable although most of interviewees did not know about preventive measures.Conclusions:In this study,insufficient knowledge of community about infection nature,vector,transmission mode and preventive measures of CL,highlights the needs for a health education initiative to enhance the awareness of people about CL.This would improve inhabitants'contribution in control program of CL in this area. | Bahador Sarkari Asgari Qasem Mohammad Reza Shafaf | 2014 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2014，4，7： | 2 |

| 15 | Introduction of protocols for mass production of Toxoplasma gondii tachyzoites of the genotype II PRU strain显示文摘Background:Few investigations of genotype II of Toxoplasma gondii,the most preva-lent form of the Toxoplasma parasite in humans,have been carried out on due to the rapid conversion of tachyzoites to bradyzoites in its life cycle.The current study aimed to create animal and in vitro models for production of the tachyzoites of the Prugniaud(PRU)genotype II strain.Methods:To develop an immunocompromised model and obtain tachyzoites of the PRU strain,BALB/c mice were orally treated with dexamethasone(10 mg/kg),cyclo-phosphamide(36 mg/kg),and cyclosporine(18 mg/kg)from 5 days prior to inocula-tion.Then,10-15 tissue cysts of PRU strain were inoculated intraperitoneally into the mice.The tachyzoites obtained from mice were then cultivated in a HeLa cell culture.The resulting yield of tachyzoites was cryopreserved in 92%fetal calf serum,8%dimethyl sulfoxide.The infectivity of these tachyzoites was evaluated using in vivo and in vitro examinations.Results:Numerous tachyzoites were observed in the peritoneal fluid of the immuno-suppressed mice within 10-15 days after inoculation,and many tachyzoites were har-vested from the HeLa cell culture.Trypan Blue staining showed 80%viability of the tachyzoites recovered from cryopreservation and this was confirmed by HeLa cell culture.In addition,mice infected intraperitoneally with the recovered tachyzoites presented with cysts in the brain after 2 months.Conclusion:We have developed an animal model for mass production of T.gondii tachyzoites of the PRU strain.This method can provide fresh viable tachyzoites of Toxoplasma gondii for use as and when required in future investigations. | Mohammad Saleh Bahreini Mohammad Nohtani Amir Masoud Salemi Mehdi Mirzaeipour Naghmeh Dastan Sara Bajelan Qasem Asgari | 2021 | Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2021，4，3： | 0 |

| 18 | Modified unilateral periureteral injection technique in the treatment of patients with high-grade vesicoureteral reflux: A study of primary findings显示文摘Objective:Although endoscopic treatment has been used by many pediatric urologists for the treatment of vesicoureteral reflux(VUR),it has no considerable success in high-grade VUR.We aimed to describe the primary outcomes of unilateral periureteral injection technique(PIT),as well as bilateral PIT in high-grade VUR.Methods:In this prospective study,we examined 92 ureters in 45 boys and 40 girls from February 2010 to May 2018.Bilateral PIT and unilateral PIT were applied in 67 and 25 refluxing units,respectively.In the unilateral PIT,the subureteral injection site was only at the 5-or 7-o’clock position.However,in the bilateral PIT,the subureteral injection sites were at 5-and 7-o’clock position.Pre-and post-operative reflux grades were evaluated by voiding cystourethrography 6 months after surgery.Results:Seven patients had bilateral reflux.Overall,75(81.5%)ureters showed Grade IV VUR,while 17(18.5%)had primary Grade V VUR.The mean age of the subjects was 39.2 months.In unilateral PIT ureters,VUR was resolved in 23(92.0%)refluxing units.It was downgraded to Grade III in one ureter(4.0%)and to Grade II in another ureter(4.0%).In addition,in bilateral PIT cases,VUR was resolved in 60(89.6%)ureters;it downgraded to Grades II and III in 3(4.5%)and 4(6.0%)refluxing units,respectively.Conclusion:Unilateral PIT can be highly effective in the treatment of selected ureters of high-grade VUR.However,further studies are needed to confirm our results. | Seyed Alaeddin Asgari Afshin Safaei-Asl Mandana Mansour-Ghanaie Seyed Mohammad Asgari Asghar Faryabi Mohammadreza Bazli Faezeh Emami Sigaroudi Seyed Ahmad Naseri Alavi | 2023 | Asian Journal of Urology2023，10，1： | 0 |
| 19 | Co-detection and isolation of Leishmania and Crithidia among naturally infected Tatera indica(Rodentia: Muridae) in Fars province, southern Iran显示文摘Objective:To explore the co-detection of natural infection of Trypanosomatidae parasites such as Leishmania and Crithidia in reservoir hosts of leishmaniasis.Methods:Rodent populations were monitored in two endemic foci of cutaneous leishmaniasis of Fars province,southern Iran from March to October 2016.Rodents were trapped alive in several parts of Shiraz and Kharameh cities.Afterwards,their organs were prepared for detection of Leishmania and Crithidia species by molecular,microscopic,and culture methods.Results:Totally,115rodents of five species;Tatera indica(T.indica)(85),Rattus rattus(12),Meriones libycus(9).Mus musculus(7),and Rattus norvegicus(2),were trapped alive and their tissue samples were examined using microscopic,cultivation,and molecular assays.Overall,59(51.3%)rodents were positive for Leishmania or Crithidia parasites.The highest rate(61.2%;52/85)of Leishmania infection was related to the T.indica population.The cultivatioin,and molecular observations showed that two(2.4%;2/85)of T.indica(foot-pad,and spleen samples)were positive to Crithidia.Conclusions:This is the first report of Crithidia infection in T.indica in Iran.Consequently,more epidemiological and ecological studies are needed to understand the role of Crithidia and Leishmania in T.indica. | Mohsen Kalantari Mohammad Hossein Motazedian Qasem Asgari Iraj Mohammadpour Aboozar Soltani Kourosh Azizi | 2018 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2018，8，5： | 0 |
| 20 | ON THE STABILITY OF FUSION FRAMES (FRAMES OF SUBSPACES)显示文摘A frame is an orthonormal basis-like collection of vectors in a Hilbert space, but need not be a basis or orthonormal. A fusion frame (frame of subspaces) is a frame-like collection of subspaces in a Hilbert space, thereby constructing a frame for the whole space by joining sequences of frames for subspaces. Moreover the notion of fusion frames provide a framework for applications and providing efficient and robust information processing algorithms.In this paper we study the conditions under which removing an element from a fusion frame, again we obtain another fusion frame.
