1Improved electromagnetic dissipation of Fe doping LaCoO_(3)toward broadband microwave absorption显示文摘Perovskite LaCoO_(3)is of great potential in electromagnetic wave absorption considering its outstanding dielectric loss as well as the existing magnetic response with the magnetic doping.However,the dissipation mechanism of the magnetic doping on the microwave absorption is lack of sufficient investigated.In this paper,LaCo_(1-x)Fe_(x)O_(3)(x=0,0.05,0.1,0.15,0.2,0.25,0.3,LCFOs)perovskites with different Fe doping amounts were prepared successfully by the sol-gel method and subsequent heat treatment in the air atmosphere.The structure characterization carried out by the frst-principles calculations shows the effect of Fe doping on the dielectric and magnetic properties of LCFOs and the strong hybridization of Co/Fe-3d with O-2p in the LCFOs system was successfully demonstrated.Particularly,when x=0.1 and the thickness is only 1.95 mm,the LaCo_(0.9)Fe_(0.1)O_(3)exhibits the best microwave absorption performance with the minimum reflection loss(RL)value of about-41 dB.The typical samples achieve a broad effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 5.16 GHz(7.92-13.08 GHz),which covers the total X band(8-12 GHz).Considering that,the especial Fe doping perovskite is promising to be a candidate as efficient microwave absorbers.Fan Wang Weihua Gu Jiabin Chen Qianqian Huang Mingyang Han Gehuan Wang Guangbin Ji 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,10:6
2Association of assisted reproductive technology, germline de novo mutations and congenital heart defects in a prospective birth cohort study显示文摘Emerging evidence suggests that children conceived through assisted reproductive technology(ART)have a higher risk of congenital heart defects(CHDs)even when there is no family history.De novo mutation(DNM)is a well-known cause of sporadic congenital diseases;however,whether ART procedures increase the number of germline DNM(gDNM)has not yet been well studied.Here,we performed whole-genome sequencing of 1137 individuals from 160 families conceived through ART and 205 families conceived spontaneously.Children conceived via ART carried 4.59 more gDNMs than children conceived spontaneously,including 332 paternal and 1.26 maternal DNMs,after correcting for parental age at conception,cigarette smoking,alcohol drinking,and exercise behaviors.Paternal DNMs in offspring conceived via ART are characterized by C>T substitutions at CpG sites,which potentially affect protein-coding genes and are significantly associated with the increased risk of CHD.In addition,the accumulation of non-coding functional mutations was independently associated with CHD and 87.9% of the mutations were originated from the father.Among ART offspring,infertility of the father was associated with elevated paternal DNMs;usage of both recombinant and urinary follicle-stimulating hormone and high-dosage human chorionic gonadotropin trigger was associated with an increase of maternal DNMs.In sum,the increased gDNMs in offspring conceived by ART were primarily originated from fathers,indicating that ART itself may not be a major reason for the accumulation of gDNMs.Our findings emphasize the importance of evaluating the germline status of the fathers in families with the use of ART.Cheng Wang Hong Lv Xiufeng Ling Hong Li Feiyang Diao Juncheng Dai Jiangbo Du Ting Chen Qi Xi Yang Zhao Kun Zhou Bo Xu Xiumei Han Xiaoyu Liu Meijuan Peng Congcong Chen Shiyao Tao Lei Huang Cong Liu Mingyang Wen Yangqian Jiang Tao Jiang Chuncheng Lu Wei Wu Di Wu Minjian Chen Yuan Lin Xuejiang Guo Ran Huo Jiayin Liu Hongxia Ma Guangfu Jin Yankai Xia Jiahao Sha Hongbing Shen Zhibin Hu 2021Cell Research2021,31,8:2
3MOF-derived Co_(9)S_(8) nano-flower cluster array modified separator towards superior lithium sulfur battery显示文摘Lithium sulfur batteries with high energy density are thought to be the most potential energy storage technology that can be commercialized.However,the shuttle effect of polysulfides deteriorates its electrochemical performance.Herein,a novel Co_(9)S_(8)nanostructure derived from metal organic framework material(MOF)was explored by simple liquid phase reaction and heat vulcanization of2-methylimidazole and Co(NO_(3))_(2)·6 H_(2)O on the surface of the original PP separator.The Co_(9)S_(8)nano-flower cluster array wall was vertically and closely arranged with the thickness of 200 nm,and the polysulfide can be adsorbed by its physical and chemical action to slow down the'shuttle effect'.It is found that the cell with the modified separator can achieve an ideal discharge capacity of about 600 mAh/g at 1 C.The specific capacity is maintained at 500 mAh/g after 200 cycles,with only 0.11%of capacity decay per cycle.It provides a new way for the utilization of MOF material derivatives to modify the separator in order to improve the electrochemical performance of lithium-sulfur batteries.Qi Wang Hanqing Zhao Boya Li Chenhui Yang Mingyang Li Yanan Li Peng Han Miaomiao Wu Tengyu Li Ruiping Liu 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,3:2
4Risk factors associated with hemorrhagic cystitis after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation显示文摘Hemorrhagic cystitis(HC)is a common complication of allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation(HSCT).The incidence is about 7%to 68%,and some patients have to suffer a long period of frequent,urgent,and painful urination,which brings great pain.This study aimed to analyze risk factors of HC and its effect on patient survival.We collected the medical records of 859 patients who underwent HSCT at our hospital between August 2016 and August 2020.Patients with and without HC were matched using propensity score matching at a 1:1 ratio based on sex,age,and diagnosis,and logistic regression analyses were used to identify factors associated with HC.We used Kaplan–Meier curves to analyze the survival rates of patients in the HC and non-HC groups.We also analyzed the relationship between BK viral load and the occurrence of HC using receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)analysis.After propensity score matching,there were 131 patients each in the HC and non-HC groups.In the HC group,89 patients(67.9%)had mild HC(stage II°)and 43(32.1%)had severe HC(stage III–IV).The median interval between stem cell transplantation and HC development was 31(3–244)days.Univariate analysis indicated that donor age,hematopoietic stem cell source,HLA,acute graft-versus-host disease,busulfan,anti-thymocyte globulin(ATG),total body irradiation,cytomegalovirus(CMV)(urine),and BK polyomavirus(BKV)(urine)were significantly associated with HC.ATG,CMV(urine),and BKV(urine)were independent risk factors for HC based on the multivariate analysis.The Kaplan–Meier survival analysis showed no significant difference between the HC and non-HC groups(P=0.14).The 1-and 2-year survival rates in the HC group were 78.4%and 69.6%,respectively,and the corresponding rates in the non-HC group were 84.4%and 80.7%,respectively.ROC analysis indicated that a urine BKV load of 1×10^(7) copies/mL was able to stratify the risk of HC.In conclusion,when the BKV load is>1×10^(7),we needtobe aware of the potential for the development of HC.Biao Shen Yueshen Ma Haixiao Zhang Mingyang Wang Jia Liu Jiaxin Cao Wenwen Guo Dan Feng Donglin Yang Rongli Zhang Xin Chen Qiaoling Ma Weihua Zhai Sizhou Feng Mingzhe Han Aiming Pang Erlie Jiang 2022Blood Science2022,4,2:2

6Divergent responses of plant biomass and diversity to short-term nitrogen and phosphorus addition in three types of steppe in Inner Mongolia,China显示文摘Background:Understanding the response of the plant community to increasing nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)inputs is helpful for managing and protecting grassland ecosystems in semiarid areas.However,information about different types of steppe responses to N and P availability in semiarid grasslands is limited.In 2017-2018,two field experiments were conducted with six levels of N(from 5 to 30 g N m^(−2)yr^(−1))and P(from 2.5 g to 15 g P m^(−2)yr^(−1))additions in three different temperate steppes,including meadow steppe(MS),typical steppe(TS),and desert steppe(DS),in northern China to study the effects of these addition rates on community biomass and diversity.Results:Our results showed that plant biomass and diversity in the three steppe types in Inner Mongolia responded differently to elevated N and P inputs.Increasing P promoted aboveground and belowground biomass more than increasing N in the three temperate steppes.Short-term N and P additions reduced plant diversity to some extent,with the most pronounced decreases in MS and DS.It is noteworthy that there were response thresholds for plant diversity and biomass in response to N and P inputs in different steppe types(e.g.,10 g P m^(−2)yr^(−1)).Furthermore,redundancy analysis and stepwise regression analysis revealed that changes in soil properties induced by nutrient addition and climate conditions jointly regulated changes in vegetation biomass and diversity.Conclusions:The plant biomass and diversity of three steppe types in Inner Mongolia respond divergently to elevated N and P inputs.Our results indicate that regional differences in climate and soil substrate conditions may jointly contribute to the divergent responses of plant biomass and diversity to short-term N and P addition.Our analyses provide new insights into managing and protecting grassland ecosystems.Considering that the effects of nutrient addition on plant diversity and productivity may have increasing effects over time,studies on long-term in situ nutrient addition are necessary.Ning Guo Mingyang Xie Zhao Fang Feng Jiao Xiaoyu Han 2022Ecological Processes2022,11,1:1
7Vortex dynamics and entropy generation in separated transitional flow over a compressor blade at various incidence angles显示文摘The transition process within a Laminar Separation Bubble(LSB)that formed on a compressor blade surface was investigated using Large Eddy Simulations(LESs)at a Reynolds number of 1.5×10;and incidence angles of 0°,+3°,and+5°.The vortex dynamics in the separated shear layers were compared at various incidence angles and its effects on the loss generation were clarified through entropy analysis.Results showed that transition onset,which was accurately identified by the Linear Stability Theory(LST),was significantly promoted at the increased incidence angle.As such,the development of LSB was suppressed and the relative role of viscous instability played in the transition process was weakened.At the incidence angle of 0°,two-dimensional spanwise vortices detached from the blade surface and roiled up periodically,which were further stretched and eventually evolved into large-scale hairpin vortices.As time passed,the fully developed hairpin vortices broke down into small-scale eddies.Meanwhile,the flow near the wall reversely ejected into the outer separated shear layers and a sweeping process happened subsequently,forcing the separated shear layers to reattach and accelerating the generation of turbulent fluctuations.By comparison,the strength of vortex rolling-up was weakened at higher incidence angles,and the vortex pairing and breakdown of large-scale vortices were less pronounced.Therefore,the level of turbulent fluctuations that generated in the separated shear layers was reduced.Detailed entropy analysis showed that the turbulent dissipation effect related to the Reynolds shear stresses determined the largest amount of positive entropy generation,which declined to a lower level as the incidence angle increased from 0°to+5°.Correspondingly,the profile loss was reduced by 50.4%.Mingyang WANG Ziliang LI Ge HAN Chengwu YANG Shengfeng ZHAO Yanfeng ZHANG Xin’gen LU 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,3:1
8Design spherical particles of potassium peroxymonosulfate compound salt with high stability and good powder properties via an agglomeration-dissolution mechanism显示文摘With the outbreak of COVID-19,disinfection protection has become a necessary measure to prevent infection.As a new type of disinfectant,potassium peroxymonosulfate compound salt(PMS)has the advantages of good bactericidal effect,non-toxicity,high safety and stability.However,the current PMS products with irregular particle shapes lead to poor flowability,high hygroscopicity,poor stability of reactive oxygen species(ROS)and serious caking problems.In this work,an agglomeration-dissolution mechanism was designed to prepare spherical PMS particles with large size(>300μm)and high sphericity(up to 90%),effectively addressing the above problems.Shaping(dissolution and abrasion)is the key to improving sphericity,which is mainly controlled by the design of the heating mode,residence time and stirring rate.Compared with the irregular PMS particles,the large spherical particles present better flowability(angle of repose decreased by 35.80%,Carr's index decreased by 64.29%,Hausner's ratio decreased by 19.14%),lower hygroscopicity(decreased by 38.0%),lower caking ratio(decreased by 84.50%),and higher stability(the monthly loss of ROS was reduced by 61.68%).The agglomeration-dissolution mechanism demonstrates the crystallization,agglomeration,dissolution and abrasion process of inorganic salt crystals,providing an opportunity to prepare high-end inorganic crystal materials with high-quality morphologies.Shanshan Feng Changyou Yu Shilin Guo Jinbo Ouyang Fei Yin Xiaodong Zhang Yongjian Zhang Mingyang Chen Dandan Han Junbo Gong Jingkang Wang 2023Particuology2023,,9:0

10Structural Optimization of Dust Removal Tank of Ship Desulphurization Equipment显示文摘With the improvement of the international community s environmental requirements, ship emissions standards are more stringent. In order to complete the exhaust gas purification work, Dafa 6DL-26 diesel engine set is used for simulation. Finite element multi-phase flow model and DPM model are used for numerical simulation and structural optimization of the position of dust removal tank at the desulfurization pretreatment part (Venturi segment). 12Assessment and prediction of the effect of ageing on the adsorption of nonylphenol in black carbon-sediment systems显示文摘Black carbon(BC)is a promising sediment amendment,as proven by its considerable adsorption capacity for hydrophobic organic pollutants and accessibility,but its reliability when used for the removal of pollutants in natural sediments still needs to be evaluated.For example,the ageing process,resulting in changing of surface physicochemical properties of BC,will decrease the adsorption capacity and performance of BC when applied to sediment pollution control.In this study,how the ageing process and BC proportion affect the adsorption capacity of BC-sediment systems was modelled and quantitatively investigated to predict their adsorption capacity under different ageing times and BC additions.The results showed that the ageing process decreased the adsorption capacity of both BC-sediment systems,due to the blockage of the non-linear adsorption sites of BC.The adsorption capacity of rice straw black carbon(RC)-sediment systems was higher than that of fly ash black carbon(FC)-sediment systems,indicating that RC is more efficient than FC for nonylphenol(NP)pollution control in sediment.The newly established model for the prediction of adsorption capacity fits the experimental data appropriately and yields acceptable predictions,especially when based on parameters from the Freundlich model.However,to fully reflect the influence of the ageing process on BC-sediment systems and make more precise predictions,it is recommended that future work considering more factors and conditions,such as modelling of the correlation between the adsorption capacity and the pore volume or specific surface area of BC,be applied to build an accurate and sound model.Guanghuan Cheng Han Liu Tailu Dong Qiuyu Li Mingyang Sun Liping Lou 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4:0
13Is There Any Correlation Between Landscape Characteristics and Total Nitrogen in Wetlands Receiving Agricultural Drainages?显示文摘In the case of increasing fragmentation of wetlands, the study of the relationship between wetland landscape characteristics and total nitrogen(TN) in water is of great significance to reveal the mechanism of wetland water purification. Taking the Naoli River(NR) wetlands in Northeast China as the research object, 10 uniformly distributed sampling sites in the study area were sampled in August 2015 to test the TN concentration and interpret the images of NR wetlands in the same period. Taking the sampling site as the control point, the whole wetlands were divided into 10 regions, and the landscape index of each region was extracted. In order to reveal whether the landscape characteristics are related to the TN concentration in the wetlands water body, the landscape index and the TN concentration in the control point water body were analyzed by correlation analysis, step-by-step elimination analysis and path analysis to reveal whether the landscape characteristics are related to the TN concentration under wetlands receiving agricultural drainages. The results showed that the correlation coefficients between four area indexes or eight shape indexes and TN concentration did not reach a significant correlation level(P > 0.05), indicating that TN removal was not only determined by a single landscape index. The path coefficient of edge density(ED) index is –0.41, indicating that wetland patch connectivity is the primary factor of TN removal, and there is no relationship between the larger patch area and the higher TN removal. 14Seamlessly Merging the Capacity of P into Sb at Same Voltage with Maintained Superior Cycle Stability and Low-temperature Performance for Li-ion Batteries显示文摘Among the alloying-type anodes,elemental Sb possesses the suitable yet safe plateau,simple lithiation pathway,small voltage polarization,high conductivity,and superior cycle stability.However,challenge is that its intrinsic capacity is rather low(660 mAh g^(-1)),<1/6 of silicon.Herein,we propose a seamless integration strategy by merging the voltage and capacity of phosphorus and antimony into a solid solution alloy.Interestingly,the enlistment of P is found greatly enlarge the capacity from 660 to 993 mAh g^(-1) for such Sb_(30)P_(30) solid solution,while maintaining a single and stable discharge plateau(~0.79 V)similar to elemental Sb.Various experimental characterizations including XPS,PDF,Raman,and EDS mapping reveal that in such a material the P and Sb atoms have interacted with each other to form a homogenous solid solution alloy,rather than a simple mixing of the two substances.Thus,the Sb_(30)P_(30) exhibits superior rate performances(807 mAh g^(-1) at 5000 mA g^(-1))and cyclability(821 mAh g^(-1) remained after 300 cycles).Furthermore,such Sb_(60-x)P_(x) alloys can even deliver 621 mAh g^(-1) at30℃,which can be served as the alternative anode materials for high-energy and low-temperature batteries.This unique seamless integration strategy based on solid solution chemistry can be easily leveraged to manipulate the capacity of other electrode materials at similar voltage.Yaqing Wei Jun He Jie Zhang Mingyang Ou Yanpeng Guo Jiajun Chen Cheng Zeng Jia Xu Jiantao Han Tianyou Zhai Huiqiao Li 2023Energy & Environmental Materials2023,6,2:0
15Programmable Metasurface for Simultaneously Wireless Information and Power Transfer System显示文摘Implementing self-sustainable wireless communication systems is urgent and challenging for 5G and 6G technologies.In this paper,we elaborate on a system solution using the programmable metasurface(PMS)for simultaneous wireless information and power transfers(SWIPT),offering an optimized wireless energy management network.Both transmitting and receiving sides of the proposed solution are presented in detail.On the transmitting side,employing the wireless power transfer(WPT)technique,we present versatile power conveying strategies for near-field or far-field targets,single or multiple targets,and equal or unequal power targets.On the receiving side,utilizing the wireless energy harvesting(WEH)technique,we report our work on multi-functional rectifying metasurfaces that collect the wirelessly transmitted energy and the ambient energy.More importantly,a numerical model based on the plane-wave angular spectrum method is investigated to accurately calculate the radiation fields of PMS in the Fresnel and Fraunhofer regions.With this model,the efficiencies of WPT between the transmitter and the receiver are analyzed.Finally,future research directions are discussed,and integrated PMS for wireless information and wireless power is outlined.CHANG Mingyang HAN Jiaqi MA Xiangjin XUE Hao WU Xiaonan LI Long CUI Tiejun 2022ZTE Communications2022,20,2:0
16Self-assembly of Gradient Copolymer Synthesized by Spontaneous Batch RAFT Emulsion Polymerization and Its Application on Encapsulating Ag Nanoparticles显示文摘The gradient copolymers of acrylic acid and trifluoroethyl methacrylate(coded as P(TFEMAgrad-AA)) were synthesized via reversible addition-fragmentation transfer(RAFT) emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization. The spontaneous batch feeding approach was used to control the gradient chain sequence. Transmission electron microscopy(TEM) analysis revealed that the P(TFEMA-grad-AA) can self-assemble to form spherical micelles, rodlike micelles or vesicles in selective solvents. Morphological transition of the P(TFEMA-grad-AA) micelles was sensitive to the water content of the dioxane/water mixed solvent. More interestingly, Ag nanoparticles(NPs) were encapsulated by the P(TFEMA-grad-AA) micelles during the selfassembly process. The gradient chain sequence made the Ag NPs easily enter the core of the micelles, even when P(TFEMA-grad-AA) had less hydrophobic fluoro-units and more hydrophilic units. 17Antitumor and off-target effects of cholesterol-conjugated let-7a mimics in an orthotopic hepatocellular carcinoma xenograft nude mouse model显示文摘Objective: To explore the antitumor and potential off-target effects of systemically delivered cholesterol-conjugatedlet-7a mimics(Chol-let-7a) and control mimics(Chol-miRCtrl) on hepatocellular carcinomain vivo.Methods: The antitumor effects of two intravenous dosing regimens ofChol-let-7a on heptocellular carcinoma growth were compared using an orthotopic xenograft mouse model. Off-targets were analyzed with histopathological and ultrapathological features of heparenal tissue and cells in theChol-let-7a-, Chol-miRCtrl-, and saline-treated (blank) xenograft mice and normal control mice. Then,let-7a abundance in orthotopic tumors, corresponding paracancerous hepatic tissue, and normal liver tissue from healthy nude mice was examined by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. The distribution ofChol-let-7a andChol-miRCtrl in vivo was examined by whole-animal imaging and frozen-sections observation. The experiments were approved by the Institutional Research Board of Peking Union Medical College Hospital.Results: Continuous treatment withChol-let-7a resulted in tumors that were 35.86% and 40.02% the size of those in theChol-miRCtrl and blank xenograft group (P < 0.01 andP < 0.01, respectively), while intermittent dosing withChol-let-7a resulted in tumors that were 65.42% and 56.66% the size of those in theChol-miRCtrl and the blank control group, respectively (P < 0.05 andP < 0.05). In addition, some histopathological and ultrapathological features were only observed after treatment with the two cholesterol-conjugated molecules, however mild with intermittent dosingChol-let-7a treatment, such as diffuse sinusoidal dilation and edema, primarily around the centrolobular vein in heptic tissues;mild hypercellularity with dilated capillary lumens in the renal tissue;and some organelle abnormalities found in heptic and renal cells. Furthermore, whole-animal imaging showed thatChol-let-7a andChol-miRCtrl were predominantly distributed in the liver, kidney, and bladder regions after injection, and that the concentration ofChol-let-7a andChol-miRCtrl in the kidney and the bladder decreased much slowly in the xenograft animals, especially in theChol-miRCtrl group. Finally, RT-PCR analysis showed thatlet-7a levels were significantly increased in Chol-let-7a-treated xenografts compared withChol-miRCtrl group (P=0.003) and blank xenograft group (P=0.001);however, the level was only equivalent to 50.6% and 40.7% of that in paracancerous hepatic tissue and hepatic tissue in normal mice, respectively.Conclusions: Chol-let-7a, administered either continuously or intermittently, showed effective antitumor efficacy.Chol-let-7a had some off-target effects, such as mild acute hepatitis-like inflammation and non-specific drug-induced kidney injury. 18Water Extract of Rice False Smut Balls Activates Nrf2/HO-1 and Apoptosis Pathways,Causing Liver Injury显示文摘Ustiloxins are vital cyclopeptide mycotoxins originally isolated from rice false smut balls that form in rice spikelets infected by the fungal pathogen Ustilaginoidea virens.The toxicity of the water extract of rice false smut balls(RBWE) remains to be investigated.Studies have shown that RBWE may be toxic to animals,but toxicological evidence is still lacking.In this study,we found that the IC50 values of RBWE to BNL CL.2 cells at 24 and 48 h were 40.02 and 30.11 μg/m L,respectively,with positive correlations with dose toxicity and time toxicity.After treatment with RBWE,the number of BNL CL.2 cells decreased significantly,and the morphology of BNL CL.2 cells showed atrophy and wall detachment.RBWE induced DNA presynthesis phase arrest of BNL CL.2 cells,increased the proportion of apoptotic cells and inhibited cell proliferation.RBWE up-regulated reactive oxygen species(ROS) levels and lowered mitochondrial membrane potentials.Additionally,Western blot and q RT-PCR results suggested that RBWE exerted the above effects by promoting the Nrf2/HO-1 and caspase-induced apoptosis pathways in vitro and in vivo.The contents of alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,alkaline phosphatase,and total bile acids in the serum of mice from Institute of Cancer were significantly up-regulated by RBWE.At the same time,RBWE can lead to increases in ROS and malondialdehyde contents,decreases in contents of oxidized glutathione,glutathione and reduced glutathione,as well as decrease in catalase and superoxide dismutase activities in mouse liver tissues,demonstrating that oxidative stress occurred in mice.Moreover,liver damage was further detected by haematoxylin-eosin staining and electron microscopy to verify the damage to the mice caused by RBWE.In general,RBWE may cause hepatotoxicity in vivo and in vitro via the apoptosis pathway,which provides a reference for hepatotoxicity and its mechanism of action.ZHANG Guomei LI Han LIU Shanshan ZHOU Xuming LU Mingyang TANG Liang SUN Lihua 2023Rice science2023,30,5:0
19The application of the strip-shaped cymba conchae orthosis in the nonsurgical correction of complex auricular deformity显示文摘Objective: This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of using a strip-shaped cymba conchae orthosis for the nonsurgical correction of complex auricular deformities. Methods: Clinical data were collected from 2020 to 2021 for 6 patients who underwent correction using a stripshaped cymba conchae orthosis. The indications, corrective effects, and complications associated with use of the orthosis were analyzed. Results: There were four indications for treatment: cryptotia with helix adhesion;cryptotia with grade I microtia;cryptotia with excessive helix thickness;and auricular deformity beyond the treatment time window(≥6 months). Excellent corrective effects were observed in all 6 patients. Complications occurred in one patient, who recovered after symptomatic treatment.
